what kinda fucks me up with the new disney peter pan and wendy is not that tinkerbell is black or that it is now "AND WENDY" or that they changed wendys character(i guess, at least thats what i heard) and not even that tinkerbell isn't shimmering. It is that ONCE AGAIN disney is remaking a story that is not contemporary anymore and thus forcing capable writers to shoehorn something some kind of a story into a really old storyframe just so they can name it something that everyone already knows. Like that whole story is just not contemporary anymore, just write something else instead of bullshitting it into being contemporary. Why limit the writers who basically have to make up an entirely new story anyway by containing it into something that already exists.

Hey can you tell me about the golden splendor???
The Golden Splendor story is weird. its something I kinda came up with on the fly one day and it’s kinda like,, undead cannibals with a 1930′s sense of fashion and their fucked-up magic circus?? I dont even know but the idea was that this weird carnival thing is started by the twins Emery and Emory and make it so the circus tent they live in is basically impossible to ignore if you come across it or any mention of it. The Golden Splendor looks like a normal circus/theme park combo on the inside, but then it kills you and the twins come and eat up the bodies. Now, Eliza and Elijah are also twins who were originally victims to the park, but Emery and Emory took pity on them and decided to “hire them” into the Golden Splendor. This happens a few more times, always with another set of “E twins” (Eric and Erica, Eris and Elise, Elliot and Everett). So eventually there’s ten cannibals twins and one big fucked up carnival. I dont know how I got this idea. I dont know what happened.

Hey, the clip wasn't actually half bad.
Which surprised me, tbh. But I liked that:
- After yesterday's conflict with the douchebag Isak has clearly rethought his big speech about hate and people targeted with it. He wants Sana to know that he gets her better now.
- The focus was on Sana.
- Noora said out loud what I was thinking with: “Can’t you help me instead?”
- The Butterfly effect is pretty commonly used storyframe but it will be interesting to rewatch S4 (and the whole series, cause honestly, we will so many times) from this viewpoint
- William showed facial expression! I’m shooked.

Exactly! to me it’s not a matter of liking or hating a character but of understanding this character’s decisions within the storyframe.
You are absolutely correct to speak about the story: without the characters constant conflicts there would be no real interest in the story. Who would watch a show where all the characters are always happy and kumbaya with each other? At one point it would be boring. Even in lighter shows there are moments of conflict and unhappiness.
The moments of struggle help highlight the moments of happiness. Everything feels so much sweeter when you have suffered.
There is indeed a general lack of understanding in the fandom of how story writing works as well.
I feel there a general lack of empathy for the characters of the show in this fandom. I’m not talking about agreeing with all they do, but understanding where they stand and why they take the decisions they take.
The harshest in the fandom are the solo stans; by solo stans I mean those who only love one character above all, may it be Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, Raven, Murphy etc.
I keep reading long rants about how this or this character was absolutely selfish and disgusting with his/her decisions and he/she deserves to die, while their favorite character can do no wrong. I personally really have trouble understanding this mentality.
There are people who hate Clarke and only see the mistakes she has made, negating all the sacrifices she has made as well. Those who ignore Octavia’s struggle with mourning, leadership and anger, or who invalidate Bellamy’s growth in owning his mistakes. I’m just giving examples, but in general all our characters have done huge mistakes, but they all have tried to do better in their own way. They are not perfect, because humans are not. But they all love each other, even when they are mad at each other. All the times Skykru were mean to Clarke, they had their reasons and it stemmed out of love. Same goes with the Blake siblings relationship: Octavia had valid reasons to be mad at Bellamy when she did, but so did Bellamy when he was mad at her in later seasons. Was it frustrating to have characters being trashed by the others episode after episode? Absolutely! But they all had legitimate reasons, and it was actually a realistic depiction of human nature. We are often unfair and petty, specifically even more with people we are close to or we love. Because everything they do matters to us. If we don’t know the person we are usually more lenient because we don’t care.
Look I’m biased towards Bellamy, however I don’t hate other main characters when they are mad at him. Bellamy is no saint, but he surely is no devil neither. Same applies for Clarke, Octavia, Raven, Murphy, Echo, Emori etc.
They are not evil, they are just flawed characters who make mistakes and try to go on with their lives with those mistakes. They all are traumatized in one way or another and their reactions make sense.
But they all love each other, no matter if they seem not to be on the same side. They always end up on the same side.

they do have a storyframe i’ve been working on, but i don’t wanna reveal too much of it also it is VERY sad be warned
hunter has been raising her little sister (who’s about 4 or 5) because her parents died a while ago
the story will probably be told from eliza’s pov, she was hunter’s friend since they were little and is one of her only friends now, but they got a little distant after they tried to date and it didn’t work out well. eliza /still/ probably has feelings for hunter (and she will act on them later)
hunter’s lil sis gets really badly sick during a long winter and doesn’t make it, and she kind of shuts off from everything around her. until THIS little guy comes along
and sort of helps her learn to function again
and then other stuff happens later (including Gays) and YEAH so that’s part of the story i’m working on rn
