Okay so I'm going to be real with ya'll.

I got the sprites for DOWN mostly ready, outside character sprites for cutscenes and portraits (as I've decided to change how I do those)

I got it looking great! Just one problem.

I, for the life of me, cannot make this game.

I've been trying on/off for 5 months. I can't sit down and work on it. it's seriously got me like.

and i just????? on top of the all writing troubles i've been having and my roadblock on working on this i just...

i don't know. maybe Fallen Royalty was always too ambitious. i feel like i wasted years trying to remake this! i want to scream!

and i wrote myself in a hole -i do need Down to happen in some shape or form and it'd work best as a game because audio is a big component to what i wrote but i've changed engines when TML's engine briefly was dead (it got better) and so I've made that song half way twice

i just hate it i hate it i hate it

i can make sprite work for it cause that's medativative for me and i enjoy seeing it come to life

but sitting down, making cutscenes, having characters move around and talk? sounds like the worst thing ever. i'd rather do anything but that.

and drawing the comic?? i need to fix the story beats to make it. even chapter 2 took more work than it should cause i re-drew half the chapter and i'd sometimes just, make scenes that'd get tossed. i'm scared i'm going to try to sketch out the chapter, hate it and then resketch it. and yeah, that's why i've rewritten it so many times to prevent that, but i can't settle on a story i think works no matter what i do!

so uh.

long ramble aside i think I should put Fallen Royalty on indefinite hiatus. I DO SEE THE IRONY THIS IS EXACTLY WHERE I GAVE UP LAST TIME AND I'M SO ANGRY AT MYSELF FOR IT LMAO!!!!!!!

All I can share currently is the code name is TW and it's a zombie apocalypse story (not until the waaaaaaaaaaaaay future tho 😉)

Angel’s Lullaby update:

i wrote two devlogs this month.

first: i cover the history of Angel’s Lullaby and the current progress.

second: the plans I have for gameplay

TLDR; Angel’s Lullaby is a Open World Action/Turnbased RPG hybrid. You’ll have a small island to explore with 3 main areas and multiple side-quests. For the demo, I plan only having 1 area finished.

Game progress: eh, hard to put a good number on it. main characters and the main overworld are mostly finished, mapping + main area need planning. i’d say a bit less than 50% done with the demo.

below the read me i discuss game development that i’m not talking about on Gamejolt, but feel more comfortable talking here.

so been working with a friend on remaking (well, rather, i’m helping a little but it’s mostly just him,,, i’m not a skilled programmer but at least i’m keeping up with what he’s teaching me ^_^; so thanks to eternal shine, u rock!) the char_player object to work better for Angel’s. also, aside from the outfit code, this main stuff will be added as a pack for TML’s engine for better functionality. hooray! this includes:

adding arrays and macros to dialogue text

cut-scene system (almost done)

char_player state machine (has a couple issues for Angel’s specifically, which is discussed below.)

(WIP) Gameplay wise, I’m going for a Zelda-Like over-world: you can walk, run and attack. Monsters will be on over-world, you can get an advantage if you strike first. You’ll also need your weapon to move around the terrain or solve puzzles. (potentially will add more to the move-set as you progress, but that’s later in the development to consider)

i made a base-player object to fine tune the animation and add details like optional gloves + boots easier for me to add (gotta get into the headspace of using layers more in aesprite!) I’m unsure if I like the dust effect, but I think it helps the running look speedy and feel different to walking!

honestly all this development should of been done before but i was torn between using TML’s base project char object and remaking my own for ages. (plus, i spent the last few months unsure if i was moving to Unity or Godot) but hey, doing that now. i’ve been mainly working on story so its nice to actually start building the game again! the non-player stuff with naming + intro are already done of course, though will need to be remade as I’ve improved as an artist and with the new cut-scene system I can do this more efficiently.

my main plan is to get a prototype of the first 5 minutes of the game done within a week. ideally i’d like to make a fully-polished prototype within that week as well, but that’s idealistic at best... i’m shooting for 2 weeks, though that could easily become 3 weeks.

none of this will be available to play yet btw, after the prototype, i want to be able to get some feedback (heyo if u wanna be a play-tester hmu) then i’ll get to making it so you can get the first “area” mapped out.

my idea is that the above will be playable in the demo. you’ll have a house (to farm and have chores) explore the local woods and mountain area for side quests and just for fun.

the one main area will be the start of the linear story. the final release you’ll have access to the whole island -within reason. The other 2 areas will be soft-locked until you progress the plot in the main area. while this limits the open-world aspect, i like the idea of holding back the choices until certain parts of the game are established first. then you can run around wild! The second and third main areas are your choice to which to do first -and the plot will play out differently depending on that.

There’s still the obvious No Mercy - Neutral - Pacifist choices in play here as well. I’m limiting the scope of this to have the last 2 areas be different, but the overall plot line stays some-what the same. (if i was being paid, that’d be a different story lmao) but still, all of this will add up and hopefully be exciting to experience.

I really want exploration and the feeling that you are living in this world to be the main get-away from the game. while the most important core of the story lies within The Knight and the Player Character, this is my second biggest goal for the game.

I hope you all enjoy Angel’s Lullaby and are as excited as I am to see it progress! thank you so much for all those who’ve been sticking by me and my stories throughout the years. i’m really hoping for a demo release in 2022.

if any mutuals are intrigued by this game’s potential... i’m up for talking story again once this prototype stuff is finished up with. atm i wanna concentrate on making the core game-play feel good and i’m not worried about the story. but once that’s finished, there’s a lot of story problems -that some have been solved by the open-world structure, but just as many glaring issues have arisen. it’s a pretty daunting story now haha.

while i got a few new team members, I’d like a few more people to talk to deeply over this project. It feels great to spit-ball ideas back and forth! but I also understand people are busy and I’ve already asked a lot from people with the rough draft peer-reviews lmao. i guess i’ll just put this here in the off chance something comes out of it.

On the occasion I get them, yes! It takes me a while to get around to them though, sometimes I just don't know what to say! I'm more likely just to ramble back at you or say thank you in thirty thousand different ways than give any insight on a story.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Hm. That's...debatable.

Top one? Probably Crisis. I'm still not quite over it, and I still haven't taken another crack at the early months after Koda's death because of it. Usually stories like it I'd be pretty careful to make sure I fleshed it out enough, but it's shorter than most others like it. Short, concise and to the point. And really damn sad because it ends with how Citlali found out she died.

Morbidly, I'm still rather happy with it even just under a year since I wrote it.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I have a pretty small handful, enough to count on my hands. The happiest ending is probably between Rubber Duck (F!Shep/Ashley) and Coasting (F!Shep/Kaidan). Both post-war, both about mostly meaningless tasks or events. They're probably the only ones that are pure fluff.

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

No. Doesn't interest me, I like my fandoms in neatly made boxes.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I have not. Let's not start that.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

No.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes! I found some really old fics on a translated site that had never asked my permission maybe three or four years ago, right when I was starting to gain traction on another site. Given, I was one of many and I'm not sure what I should've done in that situation, but unfortunately I'm not sure what happened. It was years ago, yet I wonder why they did that. It was a little fic about kids in space. It just doesn't check out no matter how I think about it. Am I upset? Not really, just always thought it was weird.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Technically, I currently am. Not quite a fic, but it is writing heavy and I'm terribly excited to share it when I can.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Of all time? Percy/Annabeth easy. I was a YA nerd. Occasionally I still am. Those books were the best escapism I was going to get. But I'm also nearing the three-ish years I was on that both with ME and DA now so that'll probably eventually change.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

It's a pretty high hope, but getting Nine Lives done is seeming more and more impossibly by the day. Developing more characters, developing more relationships, sticking all that on a timeline -- figuring out where the hell Citadel-dweller kids go to school, how they interact with other alien children, biotics, the list goes on and I get more and more frustrated.

What do you even study in alien school?? What the hell do the history books look like?? Gah.

What are your writing strengths?

Combat prose and weird poetic one offs. I am still very happy with the Mars chapters in Redamancy for that reason.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Romance and keeping things concise. Emotions are hard sometimes, I don't know why they did it, all I know is that they did. I get lucky if it's in 1k words or less, and it's not rambling on about an under-explained metaphor.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Meh. I'm not of any opinion, I just appreciate it when it's translated at the end of the chapter if they do it. Other than that, well, that's the reason I'm learning other languages.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

I feel like my answer changes every time I answer this, but probably Legend of Korra? Or anything coherent, it'd have to be pushed forward a few years to Maximum Ride. I remember scribbling away on loose leaf paper during class with my trusty stolen (read: found in the hall) mechanical pencil I never had lead for.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

I'm not sure right now. I love and nitpick at every one of my fics equally. However, while Letters Home has it's problems, I am terribly happy with how it came out in the end, especially since it came after a bit of a dry spell.

I finally read That Mixtape Love 2 and may I just say, I adore the growth in both yn and Chan! They complement each other in the best way and therefore make the best of themselves, as every memory - happy or sad or angry or loving or whatever else - gives them more and more reason to love each other, if you know what I mean. Met with an obstacle they break through it together which strengthens their bond and above all the trust. And trust is oh so important especially for yn!! It's Chan that helps her open up, helps her getting the courage to finally peek through that small gap of the seashell she's hidden herself behind and to actually (let herself) experience the emotions that she's been able to see for her whole life. He helps her stop being only the observer, the spectator of the turbulent play that are other people's feelings but instead take part in it herself,, the trust she has in him gives her the security, the fundament she was so desperately craving for (as her parents didn't prove themselves worthy of such unconditional trust), but also gives him the validation that he's in fact needed. He cares for her and wants her to be happy and it does him good seeing her gradually opening up to him and eventually accepting his offers of help. Because he wants to help, he suffers when she suffers so he feels kind of useless if he isn't allowed to do anything to ease her pain. Or at least that's my take on the relationship, the way I interpreted it 😅 and sorry it kinda became a whole damn essay but lemme just add that I love the scene in the rain so much!!! (I immediately heard Gene Kelly in my head 😂💗),, the whole story in general was so beautifully written too and the relationship so delicately elaborated, great fucking job Lia 👍🏻✨

You pretty much caught on to the exact vibe I was trying to give off, with the pieces 😭♥️ That's the reason I intentionally chose moments that would reflect their relationship growing in terms of trust and not just the special firsts. More than a theme of codependency,I wanted their relationship to grow in such a way where protag feels a sense of security and stability with Chan- a theme I incorporated into the protag's thoughts (calling Chan a pillar of support, an anchor, the like)

On inverse, despite not being able to explore Chan's side of this story as much, I did exactly imagine him to find peace in the stability he was able to provide to the protag, as you mentioned. He's not the most confident in himself, so having somebody he cares for so much reciprocate his feelings and trust him with such a big piece of their heart would give him a lotta emotional stability

I loved writing the rain scene 😭 it was one of the first I wrote for TML, and i knew instantly that MAX's Lights down Low was the perfect backing track for it 😭😭😭😭 Thank you for enjoying TML, Lix 😭 Thank you for being a constant and a hypeman throughout it all, i adore you sm for that ♥️♥️

'So, who's jersey are you gonna wear?' - Steph

'No ones' I text back rolling my eyes. Once Auston joined the conversation yesterday, the bickering began, it wasn't just them either. Morgan and Matt joining in the argument on who's number I should be wearing, though I think Matt was just trying to rile up the others, he's quite good at that, must be the enforcer side.

'I don't even own a jersey, I am just gonna wear the hoodie I stole from my brother.' I added before she could make a rebuttal, I wasn't lying though I really do plan on wearing my brother's hoodie, which I was just pulling out of the dryer.

'Fine, but if you were to wear a jersey. Who's would it be?'

'Just not yours Mitch,'

'You're mean!'

'Wait I mean that's mean to Mitch because I am Steph and laugh at my boyfriend's pain,'

'Question still stands...'

Who's jersey would I wear? I would wear any to be real but I want to throw him off, going over who I met yesterday and who participated in the bickering session, I remember that James was the only one was just laugh and not trying to get me to wear their number.

'JVR' I snickered as I pressed send, that should mess him up. I yawn I did some shopping and also, I worked out this morning and I'm pretty beat, I don't even make it to my bed I end crashed on my couch. Just as I was falling asleep my phone dinged with a text. At first just thinking its Steph or Mitch as Steph I ignore it until it beeps again with a new message me. Lazily glancing at my phone I don't recognize the number.

'Hey, it's Morgan I got your number from Mitch'

'Can I ask a favor??'

I can't exactly say no.

'You can but doesn't mean I'll do it;P'

I regret how flirty I made that message sound as soon as I press send. Groaning I watch as the little dots show up meaning he's writing back.

'I slept wrong during my nap and my now my neck is stiff :(.....can you please help me?'

'Haha...yeah no problem! Come on up :)'

Smiling at my phone, I was expecting him to text back for my unit but I was shocked by a knock at more door seconds after I sent my text.

Slowing opening my door I'm greeted by Morgans sheepish smile that's missing a tooth. I quirk a brow with a slight smirk.

"What if I said no?" He shrugs.

"But you didn't, so I'm lucky," his demeanor very relax as I ushered him into my apartment. His eyes scanning his surrounds like he's trying to understand me more by apartment, you're home says a lot about who you are.

"I don't know what I was expecting but this wasn't it," Morgan motioning to the rather masculine look of my apartment.

"I get that often, my tastes are more masculine since growing up with my Dad and Brother. They have really influenced my taste and interests," I casually released personal information to the defensemen made almost stop in my traps on the way to getting my massage travel massage table from the laundry room. I don't know if he noticed the change in my posture or just didn't notice my lack of mention of a mother because he didn't press, which I'm glad.

I worked on Morgans kinked neck and back for about a half hour before I finished up with a gentle shoulder massage, careful to release built-up tension and ease the muscle to relax in my hands. When I worked for my hands lower I could feel the start a nasty knot forming which would be the cause of a lot of grief tomorrow, before doing anything to it, I had to make sure this was not an existing injury.

"have you hurt you back -here- before?" I carefully press my fingers into the flesh of his back, provoking a wince and grunt. "No, but now that you point it out it's quite sore," He test moving his back provoking the spot someone to get a feel, followed by another wince.

"Okay, well that means I can try to fix it, but move your right arm in like a chicken wing and raise it," I now stood in front of the shirtless hockey player and demonstrated what I meant and he mimicked it. I nod as he raises it, I note that movement catches before it could be fully stretched.

"So, the knot is affecting mobility so it's deep, It's gonna hurt," I teasing smack his bare shoulder as I returned to being behind and set my elbow on the spot and pressed, not giving him time to reject the idea of pain and pressed deep.

"AH!" I work my elbow in a clockwise motion until I can actually feel the knot release itself. Instantly Morgan slumps forward. "Wow, that was intense," He carefully moving his shoulder up and down in the chicken wings position again. I continue to massage the area to really relax the trouble spot away.

"That should be good," I pat his back, stepping away so he could stand raising to his 6' height only couple inches taller than me. A dorky grin graces his face as he's still working the chicken wing.

"You really do have magic hands," Morgan raised his upwards and stretched his back to his limit of flexible. "Thank you so much, Amelia," Morgan slipping his t-shirt of his head. "I have to go get ready, I'll see you the game," He embraces me in a hug so tight I have to tap out.

"Geez, Don't kill me now! go score a goal or stop someone from scoring," I usher him out of the apartment, with a huge grin but before I close the door

"You should totally wear my number," He winks as I shake my head closing the door.

"I am serious!" His voice muffled through the door followed by the steps down the hall to the elevator.

It was almost game time and Steph and I are sat along the ice beside the home penalty box and true to my word I really am wearing my brother's hoodie but also a TML beanie. Also wearing the same black ripped jeans from Saturday and converse.

The excitement in the building was high and got higher when the teams flooded the ice and then the excitement continued to grow as the puck dropped. I was buzzing in my seat, totally engrossed by the game, If Steph was talking to me I have no idea what she's saying. She whacks my shoulder making me flinch and face her regretfully taking my eyes off the play that going towards the leafs net.

"I asked if you wanted a beer or anything?" She rolled her eyes at me, I smiled sheepishly at her before agreeing to a beer and returning my attention to the game to see Martin make a hard hit to the right of me really close too.

I was a couple beer's deep and deeper into the game, It was tied 2-2 3 minutes left in the 3rd when Mitch drew a penalty and now they were on the powerplay. On the ice was Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews, William Nylander, James Van Riemsdyk and Morgan Rielly. The puck was passed behind the net and then to the blueliner where Moran wound up, shot and finished with a goal. The arena blowing up and the player on the ice jumping into each other's arms cheering each other on, when they separate I make eye contact as he pulls his arm into a chicken wing with a wink.

"I heard you worked your magic on dear Mo, Seems like you put some great magic into," Steph teased just as deep into beer as I was, It's safe to say we have a great buzz going on. "Yeah, He was outside my door before I even agreed,"I recall with a laugh not taking my eyes off the ice as the Leafs keep the puck away from the other team until the buzzer went.

I everyone was getting up, some still cheer as others went home. In this time someone's beer was knocked from their hands and all over my sitting form, instantly drenching down my face and the front of my hoodie.

"Hey, watch where you going!Look what you made me do!" A male voice yells behind me. I didn't wait to see what happened after because I was up and gone towards the washroom to get cleaned up. "I am gonna go get you something to change into," Steph said and was off into the crowds.

I cringed as I pull the beer-stained hoodie and shirt off and quickly slip on the long sleeve shirt Steph got for me, Pulling my hair into a bun on the top of my head. Slipping out of the stall, I am quick to work on the mess that is my makeup, wiping off the smudged mascara and eyeliner off with wet paper towel.

"That's my luck, man" I shrug as I turn to Steph ready to leave, the look on her face is suspicious but I can't figure out why she's smiling really big making me give her a concerning look "Well thanks again for the top, I'll pay you back," I pull the sleeve over my knuckles, the shirt a size too big, it's a leafs long sleeve shirt matching the jerseys.

"Don't worry I used Mitch's card," Steph shrugged as she leads the way to the family area to great the players, We arrive just as Mitch and Auston were coming out. Mitch's eyes scanning for his girlfriend who's to my left waving like a crazy person, alcohol still running through her system. When they finally get over to us Mitch makes a face as he hugs Steph.

"Ugh, what smells so much like beer?" He nose crinkled. When I open my mouth to speak, I am instantly cut off by Stephs rendition of the story, Super dramatic and a little over the top adding details here and there. "that sucks, So how was your first game?" Mitch beams.

"She was so into the game, I couldn't get a non-hockey related word out of her! We've created a monster!" Steph again speaking for me.

"that's not true," I defended myself, the blonde snapping her head to me "yeah, the only words were alcohol-related, which I consider still hockey," My cheeks flame at her words. They were true I was really into the game.

"So what I enjoyed myself!" I slugged an arm around the short girl pulling her into a side hug dispelling an awkwardness. Just then we were joined by More hockey players, such as Morgan, James, William and Kasperi Kapanen.

"You need to work your magic on me if it means I can score more," are the first words from Williams' mouth, making everyone laugh. "Well, don't you worry I start when you guys get back from your roadie," I pat his shoulder with fake sympathy. He frowns and starts to count the days on his fingers of how long what will be, making me giggle. I turn my attention to Kasperi who is standing back compared to everyone looking down looking rather left out.

"Hi, we haven't met, I am Amelia," I stick my hand out to the sad looking boy, his eyes spark as a smile sprees across his lips her grasps my hand shaking softly. "Kasperi but everyone calls me Kappy," His voice reminds me of Williams but a faint Finnish accent instead of Swedish.

It was after my exchange with Kappy that William continued to voice his displeasure, "Hey, that's not until Thursday! and we leave tonight to Carolina!" He pouts and mitch adds "Don't worry, I haven't been graced with her magic either," fake pouting both of us girls smacking him.

"Well, speaking of we should start going," I almost forgot Auston was here he was so quiet.

Just like that, we said our goodbyes, I got hugs from all the guys and even Steph because she's weird. We watch the guys make their way back to the change room so Steph could stare at Mitch's ass.

I may have looked at a couple of bums myself but that's my secret.

hockey players have really nice butts and legs.

especially if they're 6'3".

wait, so is the darkworld thing over? what happened to that???????????????????? i wanna know what happensssssssss

its on hold! i’m making a fangame that’ll cover the ending of it.

the new plan is that i’m going to get access to a deltarune engine and make the game. that said, the engine isn’t ready yet and its exclusive to a few people. i’m one of the few who has direct permission for it (sorry to other fangame makers! TML still has the godot DR version being built tho)

that fangame is going to take some time (mainly waiting on the engine, tho i’ll have to make a TON of new sprites but that’s fun for me so I don’t mind) and in the meantime, I don’t want this blog to be on haitus.

Most likely scenario is this final arc will play out and finish. then i’ll reopen the askbox and continue the darkworld event and catch you guys up to where the fangame starts. Then, i’ll give everyone 24 hours to play it (or watch a lets play lmao) and we’ll finish it with them leaving the darkworld.

Then i’m taking a long break then doing the redraw comic to have the whole story happen chronologically and as acessible as possible

sorry things turned out this way but at least the story will 1) be done in a reasonable time 2) darkworld can end on a high note and make all that waiting worth it 3) will be COOL as hell

Man, what a fucking awesome trilogy. I was in such a state of literary limbo after that I couldn’t decide what to read next for over two weeks.  I really admire how different each of these books is, yet how they connect as a whole so well.  Maybe I just haven’t read that many great trilogies.

I mentioned in my write-up of The Magician King that I kind of enjoyed the “we’re in a fantasy, follow the rules and everything will work out” aspects. I also enjoyed how this did not work in TML, starting from Elliot’s battle with the invading army (I do this, Quentin can come back!). Pretty much every plan goes to shit, for everyone minus a few characters. Like Rupert says, “No, it was that Fillory was cruel, as cruel in its way as the real world was. There was no difference, though we all pretended there was. There was nothing fair about Fillory, just as there was nothing fair about people’s fathers going to war, and their mothers going mad, and the way we among all animals were cursed with a longing for somewhere better, somewhere that never existed and never would. Fillory was no better than our world. It was just prettier.” (pg. 235) Yes, Quentin saves Fillory at the last minute but it isn’t exactly easy.  Just the act of killing Ember, who yes is a god, is a battle. The one stroke beheading of Umber seems like the way it would go if they were following the rules of TMK.

Also, Janet’s back! And is likeable this time!!! I should have known that her character would be developed at least a little bit in one of the books. Her backstory (both her childhood tale of neglect and her adventure in the desert) gives a good explanation of how she is. I mean, her whole being in the first book is a perfect stereotype of daddy issues.

It is mentioned in the show once or twice that magicians get their strength through turmoil. The same is true for the characters in the books. They all had to go through some intense ordeal in order to find themselves and become their best selves: Josh’s ordeals through the Neitherlands (losing his ideal partner), Janet in the desert, Elliot losing Quentin, Penny’s hands. Quentin’s strength doesn’t come from his father dying, but realizing that he never had a father to begin with. Alice is the strongest student when they all arrive at Brakebills. They explain it away as an effect of having two magician parents, but look at what she’s gone through in her life. Her parents hate each other and are so lost in finding meaning in their lives that they completely ignore her. They only love she gets is from her brother, who then leaves for school, eventually disappearing without any explanation. Plus, with the way time works at Brakebills, her brother’s Christmas break comes months after the actual holiday. I live in Chicago; I can imagine how shitty it would be for a child being ignored around Christmas (the one respite from winter). THEN, she is denied entrance to the school she belonged, and had to travel on foot until she found it and beg for a chance to get in. I mean, shit. When Quentin brings her back to life he comments how she is still more talented than anyone else. That’s because even after everything the other characters went through, she still had the most hardship.

The only thing not explained that I wonder about is what Penny went through to get his powers before the first book. We know about Janet and Elliot’s abuse growing up. Plum was forced to live a secret life because of her family’s history. Josh isn’t that great of a magician in the first book, so he doesn’t need much of a background story to explain it. What about Penny though? He comes to school as a very talented magician already, pretty much second in the class behind Alice (even though he fails his first year exams). The explanation the show gives makes sense: Martin is inside his head, driving him crazy. The books touch on his travelling skills but don’t really explain it. In the first book when he, Quentin, and Alice are studying for their exams together, Penny often stares in a mirror. Is he travelling then? As much of a turd as he is in the books (he is SO much better in the show), I could have used a little more backstory. But I guess it wouldn’t have been so much fun when Alice decks him in the face if we knew why he was such a douche.

At 401 pages, this brings my 2017 total so far to 801, ~25% of the way to my goal. I finished this in January, so not bad for my first month. It took me a while to post this due to some computer issues. Hopefully I don’t have to wait a month in the future.
