Charmsinger:

When Saia's village burns and she's forced to run over the Yellow Mountain, she encounters two teens just about her age: Helios and Alifray. Through betrayal, heartache, and the magic she sings, Saia finds herself caught between her life and her heart.

tldr: a fantasy story about magic through one's voice, falling in love, and a surprising amount of crying.

MÓNN DII:

It's been a few decades since Hrun Deshe found himself in Mónn Dii. He's only come back for the Hunt, after all, and yet- Volaan is as beautiful as the day he left, and he's still hated. The tomb and what happened there is his own fault, but that doesn't mean he can't hurt, still. ... At least he still has his best friend, though.

volaan: the family basement. it has an outlook to the vo dem cass lake on the manor grounds. he likes it there.

Happy STS! What is the main setting of your WIP? How important is it to the story?

but hi!! i'll answer this for four of my stories!

charmsinger's setting revolves around a pre-industrial revolution type of world, where fantastical magics occur and home is found. and by the gods it is so important. the magic comes from the setting; the setting powers the magic. the farther the mc gets from her ancestral homeland, the less powerful she is; this hurts, because she has never been there and so does not know the power that she could wield. i love saia sm

mónn dii is a modern world featuring also fantasy, set in a cliffside suburb and revolving around one man's relationship to the home he never wanted to go back to. if the city were anything else, he would love to be there.
