Give me your heart (and I'll show you how to feel) by peredain (M, ongoing, 40k, some dom/sub themes, modern au) i will love modern aus until the end of time and this one has good plot, descriptions, and the feels. also i love that the yaksha group dynamics are fleshed out in this! they're so rare to find

fault lines by viverella (T, 23k, oneshot). scream. the tenderness and tension in this is so gentle. i fell to my knees bc these two old men. zhongli's voice is so nicely written :')

to carve nature at its joints (author commentary) and for services rendered by yelp (oneshots, 1k and 2k) the first is based on xiao's dream eating ability, and the second is about morax's inevitable erosion. the author has such an ability with words and their descriptions of xiao's loyalty, and zhongli's trust. i cherish greatly

Three Houses

This coming year would mark 300 years since the Second Star Acdemy was established, and it will mark 300 year anniversary of the great split. The continent of Tarterus was once ruled over one being until the people rose up against him and split the continent into three countries; the Enchanted Dominion, the Snowland Expanse, and the Kingdom of Day Break.

Second Star Academy, which specializes in training future royals to be Knights and Magicians, is broken up into three houses based off of one's place of birth. The Red Wolves for the Enchanted Dominion, the Golden Bears for the Kingdom of Day Break, and the White Elks for The Snowland Expanse.

The Red Wolves' house leader is Snow White, since her step brother had not bore an heir yet, and her older sister Red Rose abandoned the royal family years ago. The Golden Bears are being headed by Rapunzel, the once lost princess of Daybreak, and the White Elks are headed by Prince Phillip, who was named the next in line if their queen were to past.

It's Orientation day at Second Star Academy, and the student body is being greeted by their teachers and the rest of the faculty. As well as learning their class schedules and meeting their fellow House mates.

To Ella, it smelled like rot. Figs soaking in brandy, spiced wine, chocolate gateaux so rich in cocoa it was almost black, pastries drenched in caramel. The sweetness of it was overbearing, and the sheer volume of food obscene for the perhaps twelve or thirteen expected diners.

The servants bore each dish carefully into the Istaka parlour, where they were arranged artfully on the dining table. The other women were already gaggled about in groups of two or three, considering what they might choose first. As usual the men had already taken up positions on the periphery of the room in similar groups. The women were the performers, the men were the audience.

Ella hung back by the arch of the doorway. She would be expected to take a seat shortly but was willing to stave it off a little longer. Once upon a time she relished this strange ritual, now it was a social obligation. Since the death of her husband (and the appropriate mourning period having elapsed) it was ruled important for her to be seen within society.

She was so fixed on the glut of excessive desserts that she did not immediately notice the direct eyeline of someone just across the room. But when it became apparent her glass paused at her lips.

The cold winter air draped over a city, the sky black as obsidian no stars or clouds in the sky. A tall man walked down the city streets most giving him plenty of room. The man stood around 6’5” with short black hair and golden eyes. He was wearing a loose fitting V neck shirt, pants, and boots. The man smelled heavily of alcohol but was quick as a whip. His eyes forward piercing through the crowds like a dagger through flesh. The man eventually coming to a small casino, walking in his eyes scanned the room mostly filled with people beyond the grips of life. Their pride long since left until his gaze landed on one person. He took a step toward the bar electing to grab a drink first knowing that even from their he could keep her safe. His mission was simple to get her to his employer three states away. He figured it would be easier if he waited for the casino to calm down before making a move to escort her. The bartender asking him his drink of choice. “The cheapest whiskey ya got, an two bottles of it.” The bartender nodded leaving to grab the drinks as his piercing golden eyes locked with hers.

Apart from rape and dubcon, ABO, wild AUs and some really weird kinks ppl seem like to explore with BL characters (tentacles??) (Please, I don't mean that in a kinkshaming way, by all means, enjoy your tentacly smut, it just doesn't do anything for me is what I'm saying)

What piece of media disappointed you so much you stopped liking (watching, reading,...) it?

Most recently Supernatural, before that Eragon (the latest book is not that bad tbh, I'm just still cranky about the ending of #4), before that Roswell New Mexico (the old one).

Are you in a fandom where the FF is better than the original?

Guardian. Definitely Guardian. Apart from that, most of the time I ship rarepairs, so naturally the original content doesn't offer much and I'm very grateful for AO3 😁
