Okay!

Unfortunately due to this weird episode we've been having it's been hard for us to actually write things, but we have been slowly building up this one Warrior Cats AU and some fauna/flora for SoA.

For the SoA part, we have a species of animal called Rain Runners (stand-in name for now while we think of a better one), and they're sort of like a mix of rabbits, rays, sea slugs, salamanders, and platypuses. They're semi-aquatic mammals or amphibians (haven't decided that yet), and they primarily stay in water for majority of their lives. They live in rainforests and while its raining, thats usually when they come out of the water they're occupying and run around, hence their name

Rain Runners would probably not be good as pets, as they are easily frightened of anything larger than them and would probably bite an Aetersi's hand off if given the chance. However they're sometimes kept in zoos because they're still pretty. They're also hunted for the fins that grow on their backs and sides, but that's illegal and they're a protected species so.

We're still thinking of stuff for Rain Runners but y'know.. Weird Mental Health Stuff has been going on but hopefully we'll flesh them out more soon.

I was told by Equinox this means I get to ramble about a topic to my heart's consent

Each one of us in this polyplex has some specific character city, and/or nation that they enjoy working on in our "shared" worldbuilding project (it more acts like how the SCP foundation works with just hundreds of people adding and building upon others works) and me personally? It's this one city in southern Eosa called "The Maw".

Now, The Maw first came to us in a dream. Why? Still unsure. But it's basically just a regular desert-based city except a humongous fucking- cave? diety? is partially consuming this city. Like, imagine a city and a giant whale shark decided to pop up from the sand and eat the city, but it only managed to get around a third of the city in its mouth before it was stopped in time and turned into some sandstone-like material. The story on how this big mouth-cave thing is still debated on but most either believe its a diety or just a weirdly formed cave

The folks with more money and wealth available to them live inside the general mouth of the cave, primarily because they have more protection from the sun and dust storms. Although, it's not recommended you live too far in the mouth as there's a good chance that your entire house could just. Disappear one day

Not even go down the throat of the cave it just disappears lol

The "throat" of the cave is also just a straight drop down. Like imagine normal human(oid) digestive tracts like, the esophagus is a straight drop down, correct? It's like that. No one really knows what's down at the bottom of the throat as it goes pretty far, and they don't have the resources to make it down and all the way back up again just yet

Another funny quirk about The Maw is that its home to a fungus that essentially, eats you alive. I don't know how fungi work YET but imagine something similar to Ophiocordyceps unilateralis with a little bit of chytrid fungus mixed in. Very nice fungus ^-^

The Maw also functions on groundwater. There is this pretty large series of underground lakes below the city and to the right a little bit, they aren't really considerate with how much water they use since they thought "oh this groundwater source is pretty big we don't have to be mindful of our water usage for a while lol" <- this mindset would later be the cause of a crisis where they realize that the groundwater size is in fact less than they originally thought and they got scared that they might drain all of the water

And this fear would push them into exploring into the throat of the cave for rumors that there's more water in there but they have to confirm it first SO they would send expedition team #1 and when #1 doesn't come back they send in expedition team #2 and if we were to make a story about this the story would follow expedition team #2 as they explore the caves of the Maw

I would say more about this but its 3am and apparently even insomniacs need to sleep at some point /lh

Hm okay so since we're like.. six people who just Appeared and we aren't 100% sure what the pre-reset3 chimerive wanted from the projects they were working we've been sort of.. lost? confused? but anyways

We're kind of working on and off on five different projects and we're just working with it as we go. One thing we're working on is a rewrite of the entire Warrior Cats series, starting from Into the Wild to A Starless Clan, skipping over Dawn of the Clans because 1, we haven't read those and 2, we don't really care of DotC that much anyways. Another one is based off of @/oldfacesnewdawn's WC rewrite, the third one is Stories of Aonara, the fourth is a WC-inspired story with anthropomorphic cats, and the fifth one is a SCP AU.

For SoA, we've been thinking about making the cities within them.. nationless? if that makes sense? like land doesn't belong to one nation or another it just Exists (like Antarctica) and we think it would give us a lot more room to focus on singular cities rather than a nation as a whole

And the brain sort of just focused on this certain group of characters. Udoka, Hope, Detri, and two unnamed characters that we can't find names for because none of the ideas we have really fit them. Now the whole deal with these five is sort of like.. Hamilton-inspired but also Les Mis-inspired with like.. found family and being a part of a revolution in their city

Udoka's whole deal is basically like Anastasia. She's the daughter of a monarch, monarch was killed and she ran off, eventually forgot who her parent was and lived with Detri for some time. I imagine that her voice claim is literally just Once Upon a December (10/10 song btw, absolutely gorgeous)

The whole of Anastasia is actually just a really nice musical. We saw it about a year ago in a theater and have enjoyed it ever since. There was this one scene where the officer aims at Anastasia and behind them is one of the first scenes where the whole family was being aimed at with guns and the lighting and everything giving the scene behind the officer and Anastasia a more eerie, ghost-like look is beautiful. We haven't seen the Disney version of it and don't plan to. Ever

And with the other four we haven't really fleshed out that much yet, we're just tossing around ideas until we get one that we like. Although Onyx designed Detri earlier and gave him these really funky-looking headphones its out of place for the vibe we're going for but man we'll keep the headphones in anyways they're very nice

Outside of the revolution, they have jobs like Unnamed C1 is a tailor, Unnamed C2 is a candlemaker, Hope is a photographer, Detri is a blacksmith, and Udoka is a fiction book writer.

The group's whole theme song would probably be Creature by Half Alive. Very nice song fits them very well
