he’d always been trained- maybe even warned that the person who ultimately bought him may not be the most pleasant person- but you. he thinks you may just be the most pleasant thing to ever exist.

he doesn’t understand why someone as pretty as you- as kind and as interesting as you- would be forced to go to the lengths of purchasing a live-in boyfriend?

you giggle at his bewildered look when he finally asks you why. he just doesn’t get it!! anyone would be over the moon to have someone as captivating as you!

forced to hold in a chuckle as he gazes up at you in amazement- you explain to him that you didn’t buy him silly! your friends had bought you him for your birthday!

he feels his entire world shattered in seconds. crumbling immediately as tears well up in his eyes. he should’ve known he wouldn’t get that lucky. you didn’t actually want him.

your eyes immediately soften as you catch the pout on his lips, water coated eyes now facing directly down into his lap.

“but i just couldn’t just leave you there unopened.” his face snaps straight back up to meet yours in an instant- catching the look of longing your giving him.

“you were just too cute.”

The Perfect Valentines Day-Date

Izuku Midoriya: Brings a single rose and some chocolates. Goes out to a cute but quiet cafe and spends the evening talking. Very nervous at first, but starts to relax as the night goes on. 

Katsuki Bakugo: Not the most romantic guy out there, but will have you over for a homemade dinner. It’s better than any restaurant in town, and he might even give you a compliment or two. Far more nervous than he lets on to be.

Tsuyu Asui: Her ideal date is going down to the beach or an indoor pool. Someplace she can show off her swimming skills and stay warm as well. Super chill and will spoil her date with homemade chocolates. 

Denki Kaminari: Staying up till four in the morning playing video games and eating pizza. Not very romantic, but he’s super genuine about his feelings. Will most likely forget it’s Valentine's Day. 

Ochaco Uraraka: Super duper nervous. Stays up all night trying to make the perfect chocolate only to burn them. Buys storebought and puts them in a handmade box. She can’t afford a nice date, but will happily spend the evening at her place watching movies. 

Shoto Todoroki: Asks his sister for advice, because he’s very clueless about romance. Gifts them a very expensive bottle of perfume and takes them to a restaurant Fuyumi recommends.

 Tenya Iida: So nervous he’s going to make a mistake. Spends a week planning the perfect day. A nice lunch, a walk in the park, a movie followed by dinner at his place. 

Mina Ashido: Over the top homemade chocolates with too much edible glitter and bright neon icing. Yes, she puts icing on chocolate, and no she will not change her mind. Insists on going to the hottest date spot or whatever cafe she read about online the week prior. 

Kyouka Jiro: Extra chill date night in some off the wall cafe that is hosting an obscure band shes into. Not into flowers, but won’t turn down chocolates. 

Ojiro Mashirao: Home cooked dinner at his place followed by a movie or some board games. 

Eijirou Kirishima: Brings a dozen red roses that he accidentally drops a few times. Half the petals are missing but he’s got such a proud smile. Takes you out for a nice long walk in the park. Ice cream for dinner. 

Momo Yaoyorozu: Cooks an amazing dinner followed by the fanciest tea she can get her hands on. Showers her lover with gifts of all sorts, but gets very flustered if they do the same for her. 

Neito Monoma: Goes above and beyond. Expensive gifts, super fancy date night at the ritziest place in town. Most likely to annoy his date within the first half-hour.

Shinsou Hitoshi: Dinner at his place followed by a walk. Slips a new bracelet into his dates pocket as a surprise for later. 

Mirio Togata: Theme park date with lots of hugs and kisses. Not a big gift giver, but will make memories that last forever. He will buy you whatever snacks you want though. 

Tamaki Amajiki: Doesn’t like going out on Valentine's Day. Far too many people flood his favorite restaurants, so he makes dinner himself. Too nervous to talk for most the night, the social pressure of the holiday stresses him out. 

Nejire Hado: She’s happy with anything that gives her an excuse to be near to her lover. She asks to see a horror movie so she can jump and put her face into their chest. Not actually scared at all, but she can fake it.

watching you get ready for work in the morning is one of his most but also least favourite things, finding himself completely enamoured by you as you begin the day, picking an outfit, asking him for his opinions that are always positive and absolutely no help because he thinks you look amazing in everything you wear.

rushing to make you breakfast in the morning- even if its something small because he always feels better knowing you ate at least something before you leave.

dread pooling in his stomach as you slide on your shoes, completely transfixed as you pat yourself down before picking up your bag- he knows your about to leave and he hates it.

you turn around to face him, your lunch in his hand as you give him your thanks, knowing to expect a cute little note with your food. his hand grips yours as they touch when you attempt to take the meal from his grasp.

"c-can you stay?" his voice is quiet, if you were a step further from him you wouldn't be able to hear it- he's pleading with you. guilt pools in you stomach when you hear him take a shaky breath.

"izuku.. you know i cant- i have to work" the excuse you give doesn't seem to take away from the blow of rejection- even if he was expecting it.

he doesn't respond straight away, instead opting to rub his eyes with his sleeve- taking a step away from you, letting his grip in your hand falter.

expecting you to turn and walk away from him- he's taken aback when he feels you in front of him again, closer than you were before, you force his hand into yours.

"don't make dinner tonight 'kay?" his eyes meet yours with a look of confusion- hope. your so close that he can smell the notes of your perfume- the scent engulfing his senses.

"we can order in and watch a movie on the couch together instead." you squeeze his hand- half in reassurance and half in promise, he nods slowly at you- a big smile taking over his face to make the soft one on your own.

he listens to the door close as you leave- waving him goodbye. the pool in his stomach drained, replaced with a comfort- a warmth. your words replay in his head until you come home that night.

hiii, yes requests are always open!! (for now at least) i will elaborate on store bought izuku, im unsure about continuing project partner rn ! elaboration on this drabble.

the sound of the door opening rings in izuku’s ears, his face perks up, body bolting around the corner leaving the kitchen into the living space- he needs to see you immediately.

the weekdays are insufferable for izuku- he’s forced to spend the majority of the day alone as he runs around cleaning your space and cooking you a meal as he awaits your return.

his ears go bright red when he sees you- he greets you the same way he has everyday for the past 3 months, barely waiting for you to remove your shoes and coat before he pounces on you- grasping your body against his.

he digs his nose into your neck- often times taking deep inhales as though breathing you in. he really does miss you immensly everyday.

your eventually forced to pat him off- much to his dismay as he trails behind you, following as you walk around the house- tending to small things and he talks your ear off.

��izuku- please. calm down for a second- i have to talk to you.”

interrupting his rambling nerves shoot up his body like electricity- heart pounding in his chest so loud that he’s afraid you’ll hear it.

you get him settled down for dinner- your wish to have this conversation over food only makes him even more worried.

the silence in the room is choking- hearing the increase in taps from izukus foot colliding with the floor you decide to show him mercy.

“so i’ve been thinking-” the dread in his stomach forces him to speak before he can think- interrupting your sentence before you get to finish it.

“w-whatever i’ve done to upset you im sorry! please- it won’t happen again!” looking at him you take note that tears in his eyes are threatening to spill- it’s now when you realise how truly terrified he is at the idea that he’d done something wrong- a strike of sympathy hits your chest.

“izuku darling, you have to let me finish.” you give him a warm smile in an attempt to somewhat calm him nerves before you continue- catching the spark in his eyes when look into his- izuku truly believes your smile may be the most beautiful in the world.

“i was thinking- maybe- you would like to start spending the night in my room?” his breath catches in his throat- finding himself unable to make a sound- unsure if he’d heard you correctly.

seeing the expecting look in your eye he gives you a meek nod- that’s all you need.

izuku does spend the night in your room that night- uncharacteristically weary of your personal space before you tell him it’s okay- you invited him here.

for the first time since he met you- store bought izuku falls asleep in your arms- head resting deep into your chest- holding you so tight he can hear your heartbeat. deciding this is where he belongs-

with you.

Store bought Izuku store bought Izuku!!!!! I wanna know more about him. What do you mean by 'store bought'? Is he a proper human or is he more like a doll? What is the reader's attitude towards him? i’m SO glad u asked because i’ve been wanting to expand on him but thought nobody cared.

OKAY SO. when writing the fic i was thinking a mix of him being human but also not.

like he IS a human but he’s programmed- like a little chip in his brain. but he IS human, human body human heart but not a human brain. is this that crazy????

the reader is suspicious, and almost weirded out at first. they watch as izuku does everything he can possibly think of to try and win them over but reader can’t help but feel as though it’s all fake? because he is programmed to serve.

HE IS!! he is head empty no thoughts just wife, of course that’s his whole purpose but this is different. he has feelings and thoughts just like a human would, and he was warned before (during his creation) that he may not want to serve his partner, but he has to do it anyway. but izuku doesn’t get that because why wouldn’t he want you??

i imagine that his life before reader was very short, he’s programmed, he wakes up for the first time and he’s trained, he’s told his purpose and how to complete it.

he’s taught a list that includes things like cooking and cleaning, spending time with his partner, learning things about his partner but also things like sexual desires a partner may have.

it’s kinda sad to think about but i believe if something like this was real- programmed humans, then one of the main selling points would be the sexual aspect.

it’s why izuku is so confused as to why you don’t even share a room- nevermind sleeping in the same bed. he expected something completely different.

it’s when he figures out that sex isn’t your use for him he starts trying to find out what it is, he does everything for you- but that doesn’t seem to work either.

reader is fighting this mental battle in their head about their growing feelings for izuku because they don’t believe his feelings for her can be real? (even if he knows they are)

i imagine that after izuku was trained he just kinda fell asleep and woke up with the reader, so his only past is being trained to be the perfect partner.

anyway he’s so cute and he IS perfect and he DOES love reader, and reader does eventually begin to let him break down her walls.

i would imagine that the idea of buying a storebought bf in this little universe has almost been normalized, as in it’s not uncommon.

but i would also imagine that the average person doesn’t have one, i believe they would have this stigma about them which makes people a little weary of them. they would probably get a name for being “sex robots” despite them NOT (completely) being robots- or their primary use being sex.

readers friends put up the front that izuku was bought as a joke, they pretend it was purely a laugh, a lighthearted dig at reader for not being in a relationship in forever- but really, there is a small twinge of hope from her friends that she will actually open him.

readers friends do care about her, at least a little. they notice that she doesn’t really ever seem interested in meeting new people or forming new relationships.

reader is lonely, and her friends all see it.

in my head izuku is bought in the hope that reader will find some sort of companionship with him- even if they all laughed at the idea when the gift was initially given.

Storebought!Izuku and Storebought!Katsuki is something I've never seen before but I love it so much??

Like it's so creative! And, therefore, I've decided to request more because I'm terribly intrigued. Especially Katsuki, I wish to be blessed with the process of him trying to make reader want him. I love it so much.

i think one of the key differences between izuku and bakugo is bakugos confidence, his moves are a lot more calculated, meticulously planned out in order to present himself to you in a way that makes him useful, makes you need him.

his plan begins with showing you how much easier life with him around is- running late and don’t have time for breakfast? it’s already made. can’t find your keys before you leave? oh kat found them on the kitchen table.

hes insufferable about it too, a smug look on his face while you grumble out a thank you. i think bakugo believes its inevitable- he does truly believe that you will fall for him eventually. why would you not?

that doesn't mean he isn't incredibly insecure about it- he hates how weary you are around him, how you seem to question everything he does, unable to believe he actually likes you.

he wants nothing more than for you to trust him. he wishes you would allow him to take care of you- he yearns to spend time with you.

sometimes, when it all gets a little too much- after a particularly long week for the both of you his composure begins to crack. his cocky- overconfident personality slips, the weeks of trying finally begins to get to him when- in a moment of weakness- bakugo begs.

coming home from a taxing shift- the weight of your responsibilities growing heavier and heavier, you only wish to come home and relax. upon unlocking the door of your apartment your met with the sight of a disheveled bakugo- two plates of your favourite food in his hands.

he looks at you- and you look at him. both having equally as drained expressions on your face.

“i made us dinner” he says it as through it isn’t obvious by the plates in his hands, holding them up a little- as through presenting them.

“thank you” your voice is softer- much softer than usual, not finding it in yourself to be able to battle with him tonight.

he notices it too- the way your shoulders slouch when you remove your bag, how long it takes you to remove your shoes, exhaustion evident- all the while wishing he could be doing it for you.

you move to take the plate from him- wrapping your hands around the sides, fingers grazing his. the grip he has doesn’t falter, instead it seems to tighten.

he looks at you for a second, eyes filled with desperation before he lowers his gaze, his head softly coming into touch with your own as you stand infront of him, foreheads touching.

you don’t make a plan to move, instead you continue to stand with him, to feel the weight of his head laying on you through the movements of his shaky breaths.

“can we just- sit together for awhile-” his voice is soft, pleading. you don’t respond, so instead he plays his final card.

“please” his voice cracks when he speaks- a surge of embarrassment runs through him. before he can listen to the voice in his head telling him to leave you alone- you reply.

“yeah- yeah we can do that.” his previously tense grip on the plate begins to soften allowing you to take the food from him. holding out your other hand for him to take.

he stays stuck in place for a second- jaw slightly slacked as you take a step away from him, hand still out for him to hold. he takes it- without second thought and you guide him to your couch.

you sit comfortably, neither of you speaking as you watch something trivial on the tv, both silently thankful for the company your receiving.

despite not talking to each other, you can definitely feel each other. he can feel the breaths you take, the way your chest rises and falls- he sometimes catches your eyes moving to glance at him before you look away quickly and continue to watch the show.

your closeness- your quietness. it allows katsuki to take you in, to observe you in a way you’ve never never allowed him to before. he thinks he may be dreaming.

even if he wakes up now he would be thankful- thankful that his dream allowed him to see you like this, to see how soft you can be- how beautiful.

“thank you, katsuki.” it comes out as a whisper- the sudden sound of your voice takes his breath away. followed by the feeling of your head falling against his shoulder.

he doesn’t say anything in return- not trusting himself him to speak. instead he also allows his head to fall- landing on your own as the pair of you settle into comfortable silence- filled only by the sound coming from your tv.

he hopes- prays this could last forever. it’s just you and him- finally.
