Please STOP Anti-Asian Hate Crimes

When I was a primary school student, I was taught that "More than anything, we are all human beings, we all deserve love and equal rights. Learn to forgive and learn to treat everything and everyone with kind act, even the hate." This saying has been with me for years. As a young girl, I used to think that it was such a normal thing that anyone could understand and wondered why my primary teacher had to repeat it so many times. Growing up, experiencing the ups and downs of life, I understand that what I was taught is not about our contemporary society but about the world that we are struggling to establish. And, I understand why it is so important to instil such things into kids.

Everyone makes mistakes and not everyone can be exceptionally kind. But to everyone, I hope that when you are about to commit crimes or simply hurt others, please think that "More than anything, we are all human beings, we all deserve love and equal rights. Learn to forgive and learn to treat everything and everyone with kind act, even the hate.". Then I think we can make a better decision in whatever situation.

We do not stay still when we are hurt or when we witness people suffering. But there are always other ways to cope with everything and punish the criminals, not violence.

I just want to say that please spread love and kindness. Please let our kids believe that a society of love and kindness is existent, not something that we are endeavouring to have.
