idk who needs to hear this but diabetics can have sugar. they can have as much sugar as they want as long as they take the appropriate amount of insulin. the only reason diabetics are ever told to lower their sugar intake is to reduce the amount of insulin they use. and almost every sugar free alternative sweetener is either a literal carcinogen or insanely expensive. not to mention the fact that sugar is naturally occurring in every. single. thing. you. eat.

the way that people genuinely believe type 2 diabetes is a fat person disease is just...so fucking ignorant. it's extremely hereditary. I know 4 people with type 2 diabetes or who are pre-diabetic. All of them thin or extremely average weights with very small amounts of body fat that come with aging. All of them have siblings or parents who also have/had it. Of course healthy diet and exercise will be a huge help in keeping it at bay, BUT BEING FAT DOES NOT CAUSE DIABETES TO MANIFEST BECAUSE YOU ARE FAT. IT IS IN YOUR GENETICS.

Never thought in a million year I had DT1, I had 0 symptoms and am in pretty good shape, but then suddenly, organs are starting to hurt really badly out of nowhere...

gosh FUCK everything was so EASY three months ago!!!! and now I can't stop worrying about everything my body is doing all the time!!! is this tiredness fatigue am I eating too much sugar how long do I have until I end up diabetic is that tingling in my hands neuropathy am I hungrier than I should be why am I tired when I haven't eaten since breakfast why am I tired after I eat what's this and what's that and I just can't get my brain to fucking shut up.
