Made it to Denver! - - We had a fantastic time at Stitches West, and I thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart, who came and visited our booth over the weekend! It means so much to us to see, meet, and talk to you all in person. We love seeing in person all the names that come across in orders throughout the rest of the year. You all make all the difficult days worth it! - - After we left Stitches West, we headed to @tempeyarn for a trunk show, and it was a great time! We love visiting with you all and sharing our yarn, stories, and projects. We look forward to visiting again! - - We are now in Denver, Colorado and are looking forward to another fun Trunk Show at @blazingstarranch in Englewood. We will be there tomorrow, 02/29, from 11-4. If you’ve never been there, it’s a great smaller shop with so many things related to multiple areas of fiber arts: spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, and more. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially while I’m there! - - On Sunday, March 1, we’ll be making the trek home, and I’m looking forward to seeing my dogs, the sheep, and sleeping in my own bed. - - Soon after getting home we’ll be getting orders out, catching up on emails, and diving back into the dye pots! Almost done with sleeve #1 on my Sunset Highway sweater. I have loved working on this and it’s such a pleasure to see it grow. I will have this finished in time for Stitches West. Well the adventure continues. After fixing the trailer suspension and getting 3 new tires, the one we didn’t change blew up as we got to Phoenix. I’ve been really trying to make the best of every disaster. We’ve been trying to find a hotel for over an hour and finally found a motel 6 with rooms, this non-smoking room smells like pot. I’m going to wake up with a migraine. I trysi hard not to complain, but I’ve just about had all I can take. I’m just at the point of crying. Here’s to things getting better tomorrow and the rest of the trip. Stitches SoCal was such a wonderful time and I’m so looking forward to Stitches West in February. Right now though, I just want to get home, see my dogs and lock myself in my dye shop. Getting our tire and suspension fixed this morning. These guys have been wonderful. With the music playing, I can almost imagine myself on a beach with a margarita when I close my eyes. Hopefully this will be the last issue on this trip home. I’m so ready to be home. I’m not looking forward to adding up all the expenses, but life happens sometimes. Getting this old girl loaded up for two trunk shows and my road trip to Stitches SoCal in Pasadena, CA. My parents are going to head out next weekend to meet me in California with the trailer full of grid wall and yarn. This looks to be a fun road trip. The first Trunk Show is tomorrow in Overland Park, KS at The Studio Knitting & Needlepoint. I’m really going to try to keep up with a daily blog and snippets of my trip. If I must take a rental to drive from Denver to Phoenix, it might as well be in this, right?! Enterprise was so generous with the vehicle they gave me for continuing my journey to Phoenix. I definitely couldn’t have paid for this vehicle class. They were so incredibly nice and sympathetic towards my situation. The motor home is in the shop. They will be looking at it this morning sometime to get a general idea of what’s wrong with it. It’s NOT the head gasket, we’ve figured out that much, so things are much more hopeful. They say they cant work on it until mid-November, so I’m praying that they will maybe be able to squeeze it in sooner so I can pick it up on the way home from Stitches SoCal. I’m heading out this morning to unload the rest of the stuff off of the motor home that is needed and then my trunk show today begins. It’s definitely been an adventure, but I think everything is working out. My parents will be meeting me in Phoenix with the trailer for Stitches.
