I honestly do not remember if I already posted about this either, so let's gooooo, another headcanon post! Thank you, @firexfvalisthea , for inspiring me to actually stop and think about this in greater detail.
Regarding how much Elwin knows about Ifrit, Clive, and Joshua after Phoenix Gate -- especially Ifrit + Clive. To put it simplest, Miles doesn't know who or what Ifrit is. In his nightmares, he does see flashes of visions of Ifrit, and flashes of Ifrit and Phoenix fighting. However, he has no context for these images, and they're too quick and too vague for him to comprehend what he's seeing. He isn't even sure if they're actually memories or if they're some sort of manifestation of emotions like guilt(looking at you, @warofthebeasts , for that specific mention).
What lends credibility to them being memories is the fact that while a Bearer in Sanbreque, "Miles" did hear occasional whispers about a second Eikon of Fire. Is that the entity that haunts his dreams? Maybe, maybe not. He has no way of knowing, ultimately.
The "official" story that was told regarding The Night of Flames was that Joshua lost control of the Phoenix's power, Primed, and that was what caused the destruction. So that's the story that Miles knows and has lived his life since Phoenix Gate believing to be true. Joshua is dead; Clive is dead. (He doesn't, by any means, blame Joshua for what went on to happen after his death. He remembers damn well what happened leading up to that moment: the attack by the Rosarian traitors and Sanbreque's betrayal. It's no wonder Joshua would lose control from everything that happened.)
He doesn't find out that Clive and Jill are alive until Clive and Jill show up at Hideaway and he sees them for the first time. Likewise, he doesn't know that Joshua is alive until Joshua is brought to Hideaway. As for Ifrit, and Clive being his Dominant, he wouldn't know about these things until, or if, it's revealed to the Cursebreakers at the very least. (Of course, this is flexible according to how Clive RPers want to have it set up!)
