#still cannot believe we’ll get to see lenny at carnegie!

Okay so I just finished watching the season 4 final of the Marvelous Mrs Maisel so spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet 😊

So I am emotionally wrecked after this, like completely stunned and I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing.

First thing is more of an aside so yeah um Midge performing for Jackie Kennedy terrific really brilliant. It was a very funny bit. However, my only criticism is this - she is told not to do any jokes about sex, Midge agreed not to do it. Okay yes fair the ladies asked for her to do it and she couldn’t have known about JFK’s affair, but she still shouldn’t have done it. Maybe it was decision to include it due to dramatic irony, the audience knows that Midge is going to screw this up by talking about her afternoon with the park guy in-front of Jackie but hey. Yeah that wasn’t a good bit.

Another aside Moishe’s heart attack and the impact that it had on the other characters was amazing and very well played and it gave another level to Moishe & Abe’s friendship

Right on to my first main part,

OMG, LENNY GROVELLING TO MIDGE AT THE CLUB, LIKE I WAS CLOSE TO TEARS I WAS JUST LIKE MIDGE FORGIVE THE MAN, LOOK AT HIM & BEFORE THEY CAN PROPERLY DISCUSS IT, THERE IS THE CHAOS OF THE RAID AND LENNY SHOUTING FOR MIDGE AND TRYING TO ESCAPE. 

So that was a rush and thrilling and he called her honey, and they were very sweet with each other 😊

Then we move on to the main event 🥰 every shippers dream since season 1 and thank good for this site, because I had anxiety over deciding whether to watch this or not and this place set me straight. It was teasing and lovely but serious at the same time: they didn’t want to push it and risk it falling apart and losing each other. Honestly I’ve never been so happy 😇

However then it starts to go down hill - Midge discovering Lenny’s bag and her suspicious look (there obviously is a historical context to that). Then there is the refusal of the gig that Lenny, dear sweet Lenny set up her and she just rejects it! To be honest Suzie has a right to be angry with midge over this and I completely agree with it, you don’t reject things like that.

Then the final the most heartbreaking moment of all - Lenny seeing midge after the show, obviously at first he’s ecstatic to see her. However it quickly changes, they are on stage and he is telling Midge that she needs to change, really soon otherwise she’s going to break his heart 😭💔💔.

I had really hoped that they had the fight at Carnegie Hall then they make up, but nope 😫

As a side note LUKE KIRBY BETTER RECEIVE LIKE AN EMMY FOR HIS PERFORMANCE IT WAS OUTSTANDING 🥰

Anyway, yes we got our sought after OTP moment between our favourite people however, I am very, very worried after the fight and the last scene with Midge standing outside that theatre at Gordon Ford. Was the moment between them just fan service and now after their fight our hopes for them being together as a couple are now over?

What does this mean for season 5? When will we get to see it? Is there enough fan fiction and YouTube videos and edits to help get us through this pain? I sure hope so 😭
