More lotus fruit AU stuff OwO

since it's a "everyone lives" AU instead of ody grappling with ruthlessness/being a monster, it is instead athena dealing with being a god/feeling human since she spent so long without her god powers she feels more mortal then goddess

I’m not sure what other gods were around when Athena killed Pallas (my ass does not know mytho lore 😔) but either way Athena feels wrong being on mount Olympus during god games (as she joins ares in god games, tele was the one to convince ares to actually go help Ody but Athena is the one to drag him to mount Olympus to convince Zeus) she’s also terrified bc this is the first time she’s been on mount Olympus since she killed Pallas, both ares and Athena get fried by Zeus :(

Ares appears as a dog during ody’s childhood, as a vulture following the prince would probably cause panic among the people, Argos gets another dog friend/j young!ody also definitely made a “dog of war” joke to Ares and got smacked upside the head for it lol although well out at sea with ody and his crew, ares appears as a vulture instead! 

Athena is winged!athena however her wings and owl features slowly disappeared from her human form the less she used her god powers but they reappeared once she reawakened her god powers against the cyclops, she doesn’t like her wings :( they feel clunky, she really dislikes her owl form as well…

God games is just Apollo, Hephaestus, Aphrodite and Hera mostly bc I’m not sure who would fill Ares’s role lol but Aphrodite is the easiest to convince this time around since she’s fighting against her boyfriend!  

On the topic of Aphrodite, well Ody sees Ares as a dad, he does not see Aphrodite as a second mom, she’s more of a….wine aunt me thinks…but Ody and Aphrodite can talk for HOURSSSSSS about Penelope 

Well Ares’s weaving is sloppy he…actually enjoys it quite a bit as it often takes a while to calm down from adrenaline/bloodlust of war but weaving helps calm him when Aphrodite isn’t available to help calm him 

Athena also still loves weaving! It’s something that connects her to being a goddess and feeling mortal, Athena and Ares can sit in a room for HOURS just weaving together! They considered it prime sibling bonding experience even if they’re silent and not talking for most of it!

Athena no longer uses a spear to fight, she just uses a sword, she cannot use one after Pallas…

Athena LOOOOOOOOVES sparring with eurylochus and his big sword >:D she also loves sparring with Telemachus! She hasn’t fought in centuries and well she does have muscle memory of being the goddess of warfare, she’s very clunky still after not battling for so long so she’s a perfect sparring partner for tele! :)

Speaking of God games if you want another player maybe you could give Hephaestus' argument to another god (Artemis or sth it really doesn't matter honestly) and make Hephaestus level 4 as someone who actually has beef with Ares but he softens bc he knew Athena way back when. Idk throwing stuff at the wall for you hehe

Athena being uncomfortable with her wings is so sad. She deserves the world :(

Athena using a sword is so real actually. Less shits to give does her good (bc if she continued using a spear you just know there was no healthy reason for it)
