Anyways it's great up in Maine. lmao. I can just go to Canada or just move more north in the state. There aren't that many rails up here either. Lol

The tall electric engine stares down at you. His laser blue eyes are sharp and focused, almost predatory, but there seems to be some sense of control, as he's able to keep the animal within his mind in check. He smirks and chuckles softly, flicking his Mohawk.

"Oh, dear human... You have no idea what we are capable of. We evolved far longer than you can imagine. I don't mind the cold. Volta needs it to keep herself from overheating. As for the rails.. we don't need them to get around." He smiles, revealing his sharp teeth and brandishing the sharp nails that are claws on his fingertips.

"We are not bound to the rails, you see. We can use our toestops to go as we please.. as well as.. another ability but.. that will come in later. As for you fearing of being shocked.. I suppose I'll spare you from it.. for now." He chuckles softly.

In universe CB(and just general rolling stock) headcannons I use for Writing and Role play.

(Relevant for @cinnamon-badger in particular)

-Rolling stock that is ‘born’ ages the same as humans for the first 20 years of their life only to suddenly stop or simply slow down the aging process. This means a 90 year old caboose might look and act the same as a 40 year old caboose or even a freshly 20 year old caboose. Some factors will however cause stock to age further, like with Poppa.

-stock typically starts working at 15 to 17 years old but freight can start as young as 14.

-CB is actually a LOT younger then some people assume but he doesn’t like talking about his age. He has however been working for his current yard for about 30 years as of 2025.

-the yard he stays at is called the Amphitrite yard, formerly known as the “Poseidon yard” as it it located near a salt water river. His birth yard is known as the “Apollo yard”. He has a cousin living at the “Persephone yard” and two nieces at the “Bifrost yard”.

-CB’s duties outside of being the brake van is to be a general caretaker for the freight. Other then some designated humans and Poppa he’s the one to wake up the freight in the morning, who cooks for his freight and he has to look out for their general safety. He doesn’t have a lot of free time away from his freight or humans.

-stock works very closely with humans, Locomotives, coaches and Caboose all having human workers in them during work hours, though they can do their job without the humans as well. The humans also help care for the rolling stock but cleaning and repairing them as needed.

-CB actually has 2 conductors he works closest with. He’s got William, who’s been working with him for about 20 years now, and Sophia who joined the team 10 years ago(2 years after his disabling accident). The humans don’t participate in racing and don’t always go on runs with him though.

-CB and Dinah have been together since 2022, a year after the Amphitrite yard hosted the world championships and that she didn’t go back with Elvis. They are currently in custody of a 2 year old baby diesel/electric locomotive. CB looses a LOT of sleep from the baby keeping him up but he wants one of his own. Don’t question his weird paternal instincts.

-speaking of paternal instincts! He’s legally Dustin’s father, having adopted him when this one was 6, and the former foster father of Flat top, who aged out of the system under his care. He considers both his sons and they see each other as brothers.

Open Starter

The tall diesel's piercing and predatory gaze examines the newcomer with a hint of curiosity, the other of his typical pride and vain nature lurking behind the predatory glare. He manages a small smile, revealing only a few of his large sharp fangs, a charming smile to other rolling stock but the stuff of nightmares to humans.

He chuckles softly, a sound resonating deep within his chest before he adjusts his posture, standing up straight as a deep guttural purr escapes his throat.

"Well well well.. what do we have here?" his tone of voice was riddled with either malice or pure pride. He knows he is feared and he relishes in that thought alone. He's a predator, a beast of lethal proportions, and he knows it.

Open Stater

The caboose is sitting on a cushioned chair, specifically made for his large size as he smirks. The chair is intricately carved, and black as the night sky. The crimson cushions match the intricate design of the chair itself, having design embroidered into them. He swirls a drink around in his goblet before taking a sip before looking towards his visitor. His striking pale blue eyes look the visitor up and down before he sets his goblet down and leans forward, elbows on the table and his hands pressing against his chin as he smiles a wolfish grin. "Well then.. what brings you to my district, hm? Are you lost?"

He raises an eyebrow.
