Is it only me who thinks the spin-off Railgun series is way better than Index? Railgun puts so much detail in the world building, and the characters come off as more 3-dimensional. With Touma most of the time it’s him carrying the action while Index tags along, but in Railgun the girls work together as an actual unit. Their characterisations are so perfect! Their friendship is so genuine! (TLDR: I love the Railgun series)

Honestly I sometimes just think the Index series depowers Mikoto for shits and giggles because my girl is a fucking nuclear bomb in her own series (destroyed a satellite, decimated a whole chunk of the city, got near to Level 6 at one point). She’s weaker than Accelerator but no way is she powerless in front of him as people like to say. She’s just constantly holding back in fear of hurting/killing people.

Me @ GL ships in Railgun, basically.
Mikokuro is cute but I only see it in a queerplatonic way at most? Probably because to me Misaka is heavily ace-coded and Kuroko’s feelings for her obviously include sexual attraction. So I don’t see Misaka reciprocating in a way that Kuroko wants. I LOVE them as a duo though they have my heart.

The funniest retcon in the Railgun S Sisters arc is how they made Misaka NOT BRING THE CAT INTO THE BATTLE. Like seriously why was the cat just constantly popping up mid-battle in Index I???
