He was a babysitter when he was a teenager, and it stuck with him with younger adults coming to his place and just looking for either advice or a place to crash. The brunette wouldn't turn anyone away, especially if they needed him.

Mirror House, 2016 by artist Paige Jiyoung Moon was one of the paintings in her 2019 exhibition, Days of Our Lives at Steve Turner in Los Angeles. Her works are all of scenes from her life, painted from memory.

She is currently part of Hammer Museum’s most recent biennial, Made in L.A. 2023: Acts of Living, its sixth iteration, on view until 12/31/23.

The house in the painting, Mirage, was created by Doug Aitken for Desert X in 2017. On the fictional television series, The Curse, created by Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie, the main characters are building houses with similar look.

"So ... basically you hope I get eaten by a t-rex or a spinosaurus?" He asked as he peered out the window at the apathosaurus that was making it's way through the main street. They'd been hiding in one of the hotelrooms and so far so good even despite the t-rex wandering the area rather frequently. Then again, they were close to food and water, which was ... pretty useful.

alright, i’ve been watching 9.11: l.one s.tar with @rebelcliche and it’s made me realize that steve would be the PERFECT firefighter. he’s brave, selfless, always literally jumps head first into danger to save others, puts everyone else first even if it’s at the expense of himself. he’d almost be too perfect bc he has that tendency to be such a captain save a hoe that he’d never so much as hesitate to go into full blown hero mode without even thinking twice about it ( even if he never feels good enough to be considered a hero, oop ) SO, now i’m thinking that after initially struggling with deciding what he wants to do with his life and which direction to go in since nothing quite feels right for him, maybe smth happens ( such as a car accident he witnesses which immediately has him springing into action to save someone, maybe even being mistaken by a stranger for a firefighter or smth similar ) to make him have this eureka moment of realizing that he’d be a great fit for that line of work, and somebody ( probably nancy lbr, she’s always his #1 supporter ) encourages him to follow his heart and go for it, so he does!

"It was," Steve offered her a slight smile while holding up the movies at the movie store. "Which one do you wanna watch? I picked last time." He mentioned, knowing he wouldn't take someone else's opinion but hers. It was for their date night, and he wanted her to enjoy it as much as he would.

It had been years since Vecna had been defeated and even now, Steve still had nightmares sometimes. Sometimes his mind would wander, remembering the danger, the monsters, the ... pain ... His scars would itch and he would be on the brink of a panic attack. Luckily for him, those days were few. 

Nonetheless, Steve had been forced to make a choice after the defeat of Vecna. Leave Hawkins, or remain in the city where he had nothing left. After all, everyone was going their own way and most were leaving the town, even if just for a few years. So, he had pulled himself together and had gone on a trip to find himself. Not the person he’d pretended to be for years, or even the guy he’d believed to be afterwards. No, his real self ...

That is how now, after a shift at the hospital, Steve was on his way home. His uniform still on, a warm vest thrown over it and a shoulderbag slung over his shoulder. His gloved hands dug into his pockets, humming a little to the tune in his headphones when he halted all of a sudden at the sight of a familiar bush of brown curly hair. 

Needing a moment to pull himself together at seeing someone he hadn’t seen in so long, swallowing at the skip his heart made. Eddie Munson, one of the first guys he’d ever had feelings for. Pull yourself together. He tried to gather the courage before taking a deep breath and stepping forward. “E-Eddie? Is that you?” He didn’t have to ask, ... He knew it was Eddie, he would recognise him anywhere.

"Is this your way of trying to say you missed me today?" He was teasing of course, arms winding around her to keep her close. Truth be told, he had been counting down the hours until they got to finally spend some quality time together. Between work and making sure the kids he had ended up adopting, not in the literal sense but in spirit, they had both been fairly busy. "Because I missed you too. Hopefully we can finally have some quality alone time with no catastrophes to pull us away."
