IT’S STELLARIDE APPRECIATION WEEK:

Day 3: Favorite Loft Moment

this was extremely hard for me because not only am i indecisive but i really do love almost all of their scenes in the lofts. i really think the only loft scenes i’ve hated are the ones immediately after stella came home after going mia. every other loft scene is perfection for me.

one of my favorite loft scenes isn’t exactly one scene, it’s multiple scenes. it’s all the couch scenes. we saw them go from just roommates to friends to dating to engaged to married on that couch. every couch scene they’ve had is so special to me. i also hope that the baby conversation in the premiere is also on the couch.

my top 2 couch scenes might be 11x01 and 10x17. in both, kelly and stella were so vulnerable with each other. they parallel each other and i loved seeing that.

another loft scene i love so much is when kelly tucks stella into bed and kisses her cheek while she’s also asleep. it’s so soft and adorable and i just love it.

As an anon asked about my hopes for this season's PD, I'm gonna write down my wishes for both Fire and PD (I don't watch Med actively though I may start now that Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet have joined the cast...).

What I wish for every year: no drama for Stellaride. I know Severide's brother will cause clashes and there's gonna be tension over the whole baby thing. If they're going down that road, then let them go through it in an organic way. Let them talk, not fight.

New Chief. It would be nice if they went for something different than the usual "new guy challenges 51 but after 3 episodes he understands how great it is, submits to the 51 way and everyone loves everybody else". We've seen that billions of times. It would be much more interesting to see how instead 51 adapts to a different leadership style.

Also the new Chief has an ex-wife (so pumped for KaDee!). I would absolutely love a sort of "comedy of remarriage" thing. I'm a sucker for second chances.

Novak is super fun and it would be great to see her develop as a character on her own, not on the basis of a romantic relationship (already rolling my eyes at the whole vibe with young Severide). Let us see her be good at her job and have loads of fun.

Speaking of Novak. A true party girl, who I feel would get along very well with Trudy (who, we have established, had a certain reputation back in the day). I am hoping for some short interaction at some point. Imagine that! Throw Violet (aka the captain of Trudy's fanclub) into the mix and I'd be very happy.

The return of Annabelle Herrmann. That's it, that's the wish. I love that menace to society.

More quality screentime for Ritter.

Kylie coming back and staying on Truck.

Mouch, my beloved! Of course, I haven't forgotten you! Just keep him alive, doing stupid things with Herrmann, but I also want to see him study and prepare for the Lt. exam. Study session with Trudy anyone? 😏 She, of all people, would know how to make him pass that test.

We might be getting patrol back with Kiana. Our prayers may have been answered. I'm hoping for less character-centric episodes and more of a balanced, choral vibe where there's also space for levity. I will be disappointed, I know, but dreams never go out of business, right?

Let Kiana stay on patrol a while. I don't want her to jump right back onto Intelligence. It would be the same as they did with Torres and we need patrol.

A recurring Petrovic, if not a regular. I like her.

It would be time for people to get promoted. I think both Kim and Kevin would be ready at this point, although it seems there will be one promotion only.

More quality screentime for Kevin. Let his centric episodes/cases go beyond race.

More girl!dad Adam.

I hope we will get to see the Burzek wedding. Keeping my expectations low on this and certainly I don't think we will get a crossover (not even Mouch as much as I'd like to), but I'd want to see some bits of the ceremony with everyone from PD there.

Also hoping for a throwback to THE wedding planner and Kim chucking down vodka at Trudy's wedding. Maybe Kim can get those $20 back.

I would still kill for a scene between Trudy and Mack.

As I wrote ages ago, and as I say every 3 seconds, more 👏🏻Trudy 👏🏻 on screen! 👏🏻 For Trudy to be involved more in cases, but also for her to have a more focused episode since she hasn't had one since friggin' S4. As I wrote here, I'd LOVE for Intelligence to pick up a case that links back to an old one Trudy worked on when she was in Robbery and Homicide and explore a bit of Trudy's career and past.

I love Stellaride a lot. They are a top tier ship but it’s so funny that some (certainly not all) of their stans always use the scenes of Stella/Julia and kinda Severide to talk about how they are such parents when it’s literally Matt and Sylvie’s canon child but people want to ignore that because they hate brettsey 😂

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE that Stella is obviously the god mother and Severide is probably the god father. It’s adorable but the complete erasure of Sylvie as her actual mom is insane.

I can’t wait for stellaride to be parents and they deserve a kid but my god, Julia is Sylvie and Matt’s baby 🤣 Stop ignoring that to fit an agenda! 🫨

I need there to be a lot of soft moments, I need Team Severide/Kidd. LIke in All Out Mystery. I just need them to contineu the team dynamic cause they are married

I need grocery scenes, them making dinner together again. Can we see them eat dinner and talk (we got that with Gabby and Matt) I'd like to see it with them

I need Kelly to communcaiton and I need them to talk bout how Damon is a change but that it doesn't affect them as a couple. I

I need Kelly not to stepback the family convo cause I could see him do it by comparing himself to Benny with this new long lost brother. I need Kelly to remember what he said to that kid in season 7 YOu choose episode of chicago fire. He needs to remind himself that what his dad did or didn't do with Damon is a reflection on Benny Severide. And I quote "The way he acts towards you, towards everyong, that's his problem. It's not yoru problem. What is your problem is how you respond to it. Also I need him to remember what he told Katie when he met her which was "I"m not Benny."

I need Stella and Kelly to have an informative talk about starting a family and if Stella wants to wait whic is in her right, I need them to talk about how it would work. And when they do get pregnant I need it to be healthy. I read in some place where they said this baby with couple has to be different and the article said that maybe Stella is going to find she's going to be a bad mom or not good at it. No I don't need that. I think any new paretns are goign to be hesitant and considerint thier relationsips to thier respective paretns, that's goignt o be hard on them and make kelly and stella wonder if they are doing things wrong.

I need them to have normal married drama, As someone elsesaid I need Stella to acknowlege and be okay with the fact that she's had a messed up life. (LIke in my story i'm having her acknowlege she was abused and it's not being sugarcoated)

also I know we saw her sitting at his spot at squad table before they were married but Kelly wasn't around, I need her to do that and for everyone to look at her like squad , like why are you at his seat and then kelly to come up and not even move her he just grabs antoher chiar or someting and then squads all confused because he never lets anyone sit there. I would say pull her up and into his lap but maybe they shoudlnt since thye are leaders of the house now.

What I Didn't Like:

Gallo leaving.... but I understand family comes first.

The disagreement over Kelly working the OFI case. I get both sides but yeah....

Stellaride

Ok so Kelly is clearly passionate about this OFI stuff. What he did was wrong. Not contacting her at all b/c you can easily conclude that he loves the work more than her. She was an afterthought. She's scared that he will do the same thing again, but a compromise has to be made. He took his name off the Special Investigators List & he's clearly upset about that. It can quickly turn into resentment. Considering his comment to her before they got married "of course you're happy b/c you got what you wanted" something like that. It can get bad fast. I just hope they don't turn him into Jay.

I don't see this ending well & I think they might be headed for divorce if something doesn't give.

Brettsey

Don't care about Brettsey. It's just such a boring & forced ship. However, I'm happy for Brett. Specifically for her & baby Julia. She finally has the family she's been wanting. I loved this storyline with Dawson even tho it ended in 💔. Wishing the best for Brett/Julia.

Stella/Carver

Until I get confirmation with actions/words, I'm going to assume Carver still has feelings for Stella. It has been six months so maybe those feelings started to die when Stella went after Severide. They still have a past together that hasn't been revealed yet & I suspect they are saving it for a reason. I just know he's really good at hiding his true feelings when it comes to her.

Violet/Carver

Either they are hooking up or it's something else entirely. I think they are cute & there's chemistry. Although she seems annoyed or that's just a front.

Violet/Brett

Another duo I'm going to miss. That scene was so sweet. Violet is going to be amazing as PIC b/c she had such an amazing example.

13x04 download FYI I didn't rewatch this episode, so my thoughts are scattered.

1. Did she just make him a Bourbon smoothie for breakfast? Carver does not seem bought in & it's painful to watch

4. Violet & Novack, we're in this together. Such a bad ass scene! I didnt exhale until the baby cried 😢

5. It's something about Violets license being suspended in the first place when the baby was saved. That just doesn't sit right with me. Like, what were the options here? 1. Let the baby die or perform the csection....? Every time ambo calls for help, they're told the wait time is 10-15 mins.

see for a minute i’ll think i’m normal about stellaride and a normal amount excited for the rest of season 13. but then i remember how i “didn’t care” about season 12 and then we got arguably some of the best stellaride content of their entire relationship. like sometimes i think i dreamed 12x11 because its that perfect of an episode. and that season was almost half the length of this one, and it began with their marriage on the rocks. this season is 22 episodes and they are rock solid, and considering a baby. the content has been great and we’re only three episodes in like HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE NORMAL WHEN WE WILL GET STELLARIDE CONTENT BASICALLY EVERY WEEK UNTIL MAY

I’m going to slightly disagree with anon about the Fire fandom being obsessed with biological children but I see where they are coming from. I do agree with people wishing Brett was pregnant before leaving so “they could finally be a family” was weird. That would’ve been so strange in my opinion. They just adopted Julia. She’s like 8 months old. They don’t need another baby right now. I also don’t like the idea that only a biological baby will complete Brettseys family. Feels icky, especially knowing that Brett herself is adopted. It gives the vibe that an adopted child can never be as loved as a biological child.

But, I don’t think it’s right to say we prefer biological children over adopted. With Stellaride, yes we want them to have a baby. But keep in mind that of the 4(?) main characters that have gotten pregnant, 3 were miscarriages across all of One Chicago. Natalie was the only one who had a successful pregnancy and she was pregnant before the show started. I just want one main couple in One Chicago to have a successful pregnancy because their track record is awful right now. If One Chicago had a better track record, I wouldn’t care if Stellaride adopted or if they had a biological baby. I’d be fine with either because they’d be terrific parents either way. I could personally see them fostering an older troubled teenager who they both can relate to.

Also, I think it’s just a very interesting storyline for Stella to be pregnant and then come back to work. Because that happens in real life. Women in the fire industry, even a firefighter, get pregnant, give birth, and still come back to work. It would be very interesting to see Stella being temporarily stepping down as Lieutenant, how she and Severide deal with the pregnancy, and how Stella deals with the aftermath of becoming a firefighter again after having given birth. I think it would be an interesting arc for Stellaride.

I don't interact much with fandom anymore so I'm not sure what was going on before the ep aired but the narrative that a family is only "complete" with a biological child or that an adoption should be last resort is disgusting. Yes, there are many problems with adoption as it's conducted in most countries but that's also due this whole narrative in the first place. And as you said, Brett was adopted. Julia is her child. Matt agreed to that when he asked her to marry him. That should've been the end of the story. It's a good send off. Just take the win and leave it at that. We all know how One Chicago exits can be controversial and badly executed so this one (and again I'm not a fan of them so this isn't biased in any way) is a great one.

As you pointed out and I've said before, I don't trust One Chicago writers with pregnancies storylines. I'll admit that I'm scared if that's the direction they'll go with Stellaride. Would I love to see them have a family? Yes. Would I love to see them tackle a woman in a male dominant career be a mother and still kill at her job after birth? Absolutely!!

Personally, I don't think Stella is there? With Gallo leaving she's building her team again. I think I'm also a bit against it right now because of how much drama plots they've given them lately with both Miranda's and Taylor's absences. I hate both (which is the same) reasons they've given. It's super out of character for either Stella or Kelly to go radio silent on the other. It's even more out of character for Stella to be this distrustful of Kelly after EVERYTHING they've been through, after how much Stella suffered from her last relationship. It doesn't add up. But since that was their way to explain the actors time off, it'd be super quick to throw a baby in the mix. A couple who didn't know whether the other would return home wouldn't in their right mind decide to have a baby. I'd prefer for them to build their trust and relationship back up before getting to that.

But after that, I'd love to see them form a family in any shape or form. I think it's important to show a female firefighter tackle all of that as you pointed out, specially as she's the only one in the show. We had Dawson and she stepped down as a paramedic right before the miscarriage if I'm not mistaken.

In my opinion, I believe Kelly would be far more ready to have a family and a baby than Stella. The man almost had one with his gay best friend like he wants it, it's clear and he's meant to be a dad and heal and break all the generational traumas his dad passed on to him.

2) there’s still a potential pregnancy announcement and this scene is before stella finds out she’s pregnant

3) stella knows she’s pregnant but is still working on truck.

really hope it’s not the last one because i don’t think it’s realistic to say that you be a firefighter while pregnant.

it any case, this is why i’ve been convincing myself a stellaride baby won’t happen in the finale, cause it’ll hurt less when is doesn’t happen. and just going based on this picture alone, it kind of feels like she won’t be pregnant.

I’ve seen so much ship wars on tt and I want to add my two cents. I’m not a Brettsey hater - I simply don’t care them. For me they are boring separately (Brett with two tt hasn’t been around for a very long time, now she’s always miserable or wining or sad or make some poor girl just to give her right to a baby because she wants it 🙄) and they are boring together. I can’t wait for them to get out from the show so we can focus on Stellaride, but also on Herrmann, on Ritter, on Boden, on this cute mysterious new guy. Seriously, when someone said “I don’t wait for a Brettsey wedding” sometimes it’s because I don’t want to waste precious screen time to look at them 🤷🏼‍♀️

And Brettsey fans being mad that Stellaride fans wants to see Stella and Sev reunion in episode 6 (aka the wedding episode) are hypocrites because when Casey was back for season 10 finale they all wanted to see as much Brettsey as they could and they were very vocal about it. Now we want one scene and it’s too much? Yeah, right

Brett as a character annoys me just like Kara as a person annoys me so by extension, so does Brettsey.

I would like both the Fire and PD writers to realize that more than one ship can be shown and appreciated at the same time - anything different just causes unnecessary ship wars and drama
