who is culiho?

Oh my darling Nonnie. Where ever shall I begin with the joys of the Culiho. 

You see, my dear, a culiho is to distinguish the Cute Little Holes of our precious bbs - namely of course steebie and buck buck (and their porny lookalikes obvs) from the cruder every day assholes who have become a denigrated insult. Culihos are to be cherished, loved, and treated with a gentle touch (not that they don’t deserve a lil spank and good stretch sometimes heheh). 

Gentle touches for these sweet holes include soft kisses to show how loved they are and only the best clever fingers to make them all open and ready for pleasure. And of course after they’re all wrung out (they might get a lil meanly pushed to come just once more heh - “c’mon baby give daddy just one more”) they’ll get all the most tender aftercare. A nice warm bath soak and perfect soft fingers to get them all clean and happy (a clean culiho [after it’s been dirtied heh] is a well-cared-for culiho! <3) 

Anyway I’m clearly obsessed - see the evidence of my insanity - but this is what spawned it (NSFW link). This is probably one of the founding cornerstones of my lil trash nest back in my stucky lookalike gif trawling with @the1918. In our shared drive naming convention - this wasn’t exactly a full lookalike and we just went with descriptors for our “Not Stucky Just Good Porn” folder - and this file was named “just a really cute hole”. And because yours truly is the resident softie of our dumpster, it became “a cute little hole” and honestly, given the frequency which it is cited, it was really just economical for it to become our dearly beloved: Culiho.

gonna use this as a jumping off point if you don't mind...

this is SO TRUE and i also need some people to put down the "king steve" label and stigma. like i get it and i'm not trying to pick a fight but i gotta be honest, y'all are the ones i'm talking about when i say this fandom lacks media literacy!!

there's something really important about learning to distinguish between what characters are saying and what is the truth. and think about WHY they are saying what they say, and their motivations and the context in which they're speaking!!!

for example, robin's little "mr. funny, mr. cool, god you were SUCH an asshole" rant? we shouldn't be taking that at face value! we come to understand later that this was her projecting her jealousy about tammy, it's not necessarily true to steve genuinely being an asshole. she is a jealous teenage girl utilizing a device we commonly refer to as HYPERBOLE.

same thing with the way eddie talks about "king steve"! at a point when he! doesn't! know! steve! yet! he later admits that he was wrong about steve!! SO WHY DOES THIS FANDOM CLING SO HARD TO THE IDEA THAT STEVE IS AN IMMATURE BULLY ASSHOLE? WHEN WE CONSTANTLY SEE PROOF THAT THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF REALITY? (i've heard that the eddie book confirms that the baskeball team won't bully people in front of steve because he'd shut it down. he's a sweetheart and a goofball, he's not shoving people into lockers!)

anyway i've drifted from the original point of the post, but yeah! steve is allowed to be pretty! and that doesn't make him bad! he's allowed to look nice and take pride in his appearance, and even help others with finding their own confidence. there are several stories that i have absolutely LOVED where steve does shave his head, but i agree with some of the tags i saw - this often is a point of catharsis in an imagined post-s5 au where he is seeking to start over. but in normal context? let steve express himself!! be so fucking for real his friends would not be so mean to him all the goddamn time!

there's a difference between gentle friendly ribbing and having the whole party just actually bully steve in a meanspirited way, and i don't love the trend of fics i see that drift more towards the second tack. do you know what i mean?

and fuck it let me throw another peeve in the ring - i love the 'steve has bad parents' trope as much as the next girl but i gotta be honest, there's a pretty big tendency to write steve as if he has never had present parents or as if they are just cartoonishly evil, and i don't get it? that imo is a little bit lazy. it's so much more interesting to explore a dynamic relationship where his parents are maybe a bit distant or uptight but still care about him in their own way, and how the stuff he goes through in canon can impact that and add tension.

anyway i'm gonna stop now, cuz i also know that a lot of these fics are maybe coming from 14 year olds and i absolutely would have considered them shakespeare when i was 14. i'm not trying to bully any children here i just think it's time to challenge! and think of the more interesting story! add some nuance! analyze your media, don't just read the same fic remixed for the millionth time!

i think it’s interesting that so many people jump to steve shaving off his hair as a sign of growth, when i think what we’ve actually seen in canon is much more steve letting his hair grow out, and get messier as he’s evolved and grown out of what people expect him to be.

sure, it still fits within popular styles, but it is different to the way steve in s1 styled his hair, and i think steve having the freedom to grow out his hair and highlight it, etc, says more than steve just shaving it all off. the way his hair has changed through the seasons aligns with the ways steve’s developed, and tried to find himself outside of high school. and shaving it all off, usually in the midst of a mental health spiral, feels more like a step back, and, to me, comes across as this self-hatred punishment, as opposed to healthy growth.
