here's where i'm stuck: who's phoebe, katie and naomi?

i would propose gareth as naomi simply because. the vibes. at least my hc of gareth. okay.

with the typical way st band au's go, technically i have to put nancy, jonathan and argyle somewhere in there. so here's my proposition: argyle as phoebe. idk man. again, the vibes. nancy and jon are either on other instruments OR jon is like the official photographer and nance is like his partner (journalist) in crime. and if you're wondering about katie: i propose chrissy.

and about the kissing: robin just shreds on her guitar while steve and argyle are going to fucking town. but whenever they're performing with corroded coffin, she and chrissy are almost as bad.

I completely agree that Argyle has pheobe vibes and cannot explain why. With all of my headcannons of him being like really deep and understanding, and very loyal to his friends, it just makes sense. Like tell my Argyle wouldn't sing Graceland too about Jonathan, tell me.

Robin as Julien, our favorite hot lesbian. Yes completely.

I think Nancy would be the publicist for the band and Jonathan would be the photographing gifting us the shots we so desperately deserve.

Gareth as Naomi, the vibes match man. They really do.

And Chrissy as Katie, completely yes. She was a cheerleading, of course she would be Katie.

And yeah, Argyle and Steve would full-body tackle each other all the time and probably make out a little too but it's all in good fun. They respect Robin's boundary that she doesn't want to be kissed on the lips but that does not stop them from trying to tackle her and get her to mess up. (insert the clip of Julien literally being lifted into the air and still not messing up)

Also yes Robin would break the no making out rule for Chrissy and Chrissy alone

but one more thing about the steddie munagenius thing:

why steve has lucy vibes:

1- he seems like the kindest one, so gentle and has the ''tamest'' demeanor but he can, will and has punched a bigot and commited slight treason and also he can, will and has called a (former) president a war criminal. (lucy did and she's so fucking iconic for that, and i know in my heart that my version of steve would 100% do that too.)

2- he would murder for his friends

3- his first queer experience was definitely something like in kissing lessons (probably with tommy but that's just my hc)

4- lucy once covered dancing in the dark which i hc as one of steves fav songs

5- lucy once talked about the ending of thumbs where she repeats the line ''you don't owe him shit even if he said you did'' twice, once for the friend the song is about and once for herself and i think that just fits steve really well
