We set our way to Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan (Abu Dhabi) last 2 weeks for a weekend stay. It was Friday so after Jummah, which we did in the area of Marina Mall, we went there straight. It’s on the almost end of the long stretch of the corniche area opposite of the Emirates Palace.
We parked temporarily outside while checking-in. The transaction was smooth and other information about the hotel’s facilities were provided from there. Emirates IDs are needed for checking-in and passports for tourists. We had a scheduled brunch in Horizon restaurant on that day so we had our brunch first which you can read about it here: INVITED REVIEW: The Ali Baba Friday Brunch in Horizon Restaurant
And so we headed back to the parking after our wonderful brunch. The hotel has neighboring residential buildings and they have common basement parking entrance/exit (access cards needed). On our first attempt, we got lost (hahaha!) we reached the residential parking. Second time, we found our mistake. We didn’t read (well we didn’t notice to read it) that there was a sign says HOTEL right before you go down straight inside. It’s the first right of the basement once you enter. In the elevator, you have to insert your key card below the panel to access the floor level (just on your way up to your room).

We finally reached our room in the 15th floor which is very ideal to fully appreciate the amazing and stunning pool and beach views from the balcony. If you want to unwind in the room, this is the best area. The room was a Standard King size which of course has a King size bed with an extra mattress as we requested. A mini sofa set is in placed beside the bed where our complimentary fresh fruits and Arabic sweets delights were served. Its kitchenette is equipped with microwave, mini fridge, mini bar and complimentary coffee/tea facility. Bathroom has a bath tub which our son enjoyed soaking in since he can’t go outside for a swim, hair dryer, towels and toiletries. You just have to request for the toothbrush (if you don’t have) from the housekeeping. Inside the cupboard are hangers, bathrobes, safe deposit box, drawers and slippers. Opposite of this is a full mirror.
Your way to the pool and beach areas will come from the other side of the hotel from the lobby. Which is after the lounge area. The Kamoon restaurant will be found there too. There are 3 pools (one is shaded kids’ pool) all guarded by lifeguards. It was even raining when I visited this area and they were still on their posts. At the very last pool beside it is a play area for kids. I know Hamza will jump right into this also once he sees it but you know the weather was in a rainy mood those days. In front is the beach with calm water. You can do some water sports activities by reaching the Sunshine Water Sports centre. There’s no shuttle bus for transportation but they do have car transportation for you. There are taxis also always available outside the hotel.
Our breakfast the next morning was in Horizon restaurant. Offering extensive buffet for all and the cooking stations for egg lovers, pancakes and waffles. It was a good healthy start of the day.
So yah! That’s pretty much it for our one night stay in Khalidiya Palace. You may want to see some good deals you can either directly check here or this. It’s situated on a strategic place, so you can wander around the city easily and it’s even nearby the Marina Mall and the famous Emirates Palace. Watch the video below for some better idea:
