misguided mishap- l.norris
Day 5 of fic-tober! fic-tober masterlist
summary: One bed… what could go wrong? (SMUT 18+)
pairing: lando norris x fewtrell! fem! reader
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ
Long days and long flights. That was your life now. Yes, you were excited when Max had asked you to join Quadrant straight out of college as one of their PR/ marketing managers, but that was when you still thought it would be an office job. You liked to travel, in the sense that you liked seeing new cultures, countries and relaxing every now and then. What you didn’t like was the 4 days when you’d somehow been in 3 different time zones, trying to wrangle an overactive puppy in the form of a 21 year old skateboarder. Thus the joys of the job.
Yet now, you were busy at a party making connections and ‘networking’ (Max’s favourite buzzword), too tired to even notice Max and Lando’s eyes on you. You smiled and politely laughed at exactly the right moments in your conversation with Mark from some startup you’d never heard of or cared about. They both watched with soft smiles on their faces as you navigated the conversations simply, making everyone feel heard. Max was proud to say the least.
Ever since you’d left for college, Lando hadn’t seen you. He’d always enjoyed your company as a kid, and he’d even thought he’d had a crush at one point, though Max did shut that down pretty quickly. But seeing you now? You were gorgeous. He couldn’t describe it. It could’ve been your personality, your smile, your eyes, or something fucking cosmic, but Lando was in love, and there was no stopping it.
“Busy?” Lando smirked, handing you a G&T. You’d just finished up what you’d hoped to be your last business-related conversation of the night.
You turned to him, startled, then smiled. “Hi Lan,” you gratefully took the drink with a nod. “Thank you.”
“It’s good to see you,” he leaned in closer, trying to not draw attention to the two of you.
“It’s good to see you too,” you smiled back. “Congrats on your win last weekend!”
He smiled bashfully, proud of what his season had become. “Thanks,” he nodded, slyly wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you closer. “What have you been up to?”
“Working for Max,” you chuckled. “In Quadrant, of course, but still, I’m basically just Keegan’s PR manager,” you pointed out Keegan, who was busy trying to explain the theory of a kickflip to Max, who had been struggling with his skateboarding skills for some time.
“You work in Quadrant?” he gawked. “I had no idea.”
You smiled. “That’s the sign of a good company, the boss has no clue what’s going on.”
He chuckled. “I’ve missed you.”
“I missed you too,” you nodded, noticing that little sparkle in his eyes as he watched you.
“Why hasn’t Max been bringing you to races?” He questioned, taking a sip from his drink.
“I’m busy now,” you shrugged. “Keegan is a handful.”
“Why didn’t you come to Ibiza?”
You chuckled. “You must’ve really missed me if you’re asking this many questions,” someone knocked into you, pushing you even closer to him. He blushed and whether it was because of your words or the closeness of the two of you, he didn’t know. “Ibiza is a party place, I don’t like parties.”
“Why didn’t I see you at home then? I went back a few weeks ago.”
“I was home a few weeks ago. Maybe we just missed each other,” you suggested.
“Not off galavanting with a boyfriend?” he teased.
You leaned in ever closer, directly at his ear. “Why? Jealous?”
He smirked, shaking his head. “You are something else.”
“And to answer your question, no, no boyfriend. Too busy trying to wrangle Keegs,” you smiled as you watched Keegan burst out laughing with Max. “How is F1 going?”
“You haven't been watching?” he asked, chuckling.
“I get too stressed knowing you’re in the car,” you explained. “I almost lost it when you crashed in Austria.”
“Good to know you still care about little old me,” he grinned. “I promise you I’m safe.”
And something about the way he said it made you believe him. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was the air, maybe it was the intoxicating closeness of him, maybe it was just always supposed to be like this, but you didn’t know. All you knew was that Lando was in front of you, with all of his attention on you, and you felt like falling straight into his trap.
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” you reminded him. “We both know you’re not safe in that car.”
He shrugged. “I can handle it.”
“I’m sure you can,” you looked up at him through batted eyelashes and smiled. “I think someone’s a fan,” you chuckled, drawing both your attention to the group of girls around his age who were losing their shit over the fact that he was here.
“Please don’t make me talk to them,” he pleaded and you laughed. One of them slowly started approaching.
“I don’t think you have a choice,” you smirked and stepped back, waving him a goodbye as his next conversation started. You didn’t notice that he followed you out of the party.
“Trying Irish goodbye?” he smirked, joining you in the elevator.
“Fuck! You scared me!” you startled. “Do you have to be such a dick?!”
He laughed, wrapping his arms around you as he apologised. “I’m sorry I scared you,” he mocked, using that stupid baby voice.
You shoved him off with a playful smirk. “And yes, I’m tired. I just want to get to bed and lie down.”
“Don’t know how well Max will take you not saying goodnight,” he teased. “Might even come check on you.”
“Max can fuck off,” you sighed. “I’m a grown woman, and anyways, he wouldn’t come to the room he probably thinks I’m fucking someone.”
He almost did a double take when you said that, you caught it in the corner of your eye.
“It’s a long story, but basically Max walked in on me having sex with this guy like 3 whole fucking years ago, and he always brings it up,” you explained. “He likes to hold it over my head.”
“How would he hold that over your head?”
You shrugged. “He thinks I make bad choices, that was one of them in his mind.”
“Was it a bad choice?” he asked, his eyes bearing into the side of your face. Anyone could feel the charged air in that tiny inclosed space. It made the fucking hair on your arms stand up, and gave you goosebumps on your legs.
You felt your face heat, but answered simply. “No.”
“So then it wasn’t a bad choice,” he told you. “Max shouldn’t have any say in what you do. He’s your brother, not your keeper.”
“I know,” you answered simply, finally looking at him. “Thanks Lan.”
He offered a small smile and let you out of the elevator first. “What room are you?”
“213, you?” “213,” he read out the card the hotel had given him. “Well, that can’t be right.”
“I think it is, I was talking with the hotel staff and they said they’re fully booked up that people from the same companies have been forced to share. Did you come here under Quadrant or Mclaren?”
“Quadrant,” he sighed. You nodded.
“It’s fine, we’ll survive for one night,” you dismissed the issue with a shrug.
“One night? I’m here for a week,” he explained.
“And I’m only here for tonight,” you yawned. “Off to Melbourne in the morning.”
“Break?”
“Nah, visiting Keegan’s family and doing press stuff,” you explained. You opened the room and let out a sigh of pure rage. “One bed.”
“I’ll take the floor,” he nodded but you stopped him.
“We’re adults, we can share a fucking bed Lando,” you chuckled.
And something about the way that you looked at him made him want to kiss you. The alcohol he’d consumed had definitely loosened his inhibitions and now he was solely focused on you. The way your hair fell, the way you talked to him, the smile on your lips, the way you weren’t shy with him. All of it made him fall deeper and deeper. He didn’t realise he was kissing you until you pulled on his hair, kissing him back.
“Lan-” you pulled back slightly, but he just started kissing down your neck. “Close the door.”
He kicked it closed and kissed you again, hungry for more. “Jump,” he told you, you obliged and he caught you, carrying you over to the bed.
“You sure you want this?” you asked as he started pulling off his clothes.
“I’ve wanted this for a long time,” he smirked, pulling at your clothes. “You sure you want this?”
You just kissed him in response. He kissed down your neck, down your torso, and in between your legs. He took his time pulling off your trousers and underwear. Then he settled himself in front of you and smirked.
“Such a pretty pussy baby,” he said before placing his mouth on your clit, sucking hard. You let out a yelp as he smirked against you, lapping at your folds, insatiable. It made you delirious, how good it was, how good he felt. The way his tongue smoothed through your folds, sucking on your clit while he let’s out soft groans as if he’s the one getting sucked off right now. He had you squirming under him, holding your thighs in an iron-clad grip as he sped up. He got sloppier, more lewd sounds coming from the both of you as you got closer and closer to your peak.
“Fuck, you’re dripping baby,” he groaned aginast your pussy, sending vibrations up your entire body. Your stomach clenched and contracted, and you came all over his face with a loud moan. You’d feel bad for the neighbours if you weren’t so horny.
“Lan!” you groaned out, pulling his head away and back up to your face. He pressed kisses all over your neck, undoing his trouser to finally let his cock out. He was rock hard, he’d never been this turned on. “Fuck me, please fuck me,” you begged, and everything else fell away. He bottomed out with a moan as you bit into his shoulder to stop yourself from screaming, and when you nodded he started moving.
You felt like heaven, gripping him like that. It made him feel like he couldn’t stop. Totally pussydrunk. “F-fuck baby,” he whimpered as he picked up the pace.
“I’m-i’m gonna cum-fuck!” you moaned as he started hitting that gummy spot inside you, making you see fucking stars. “Yes-yes! There Lan, don’t fucking s-stop!”
He wasn’t planning on stopping. He picked up the pace even more, until the room was full of those lewd sounds from your wet pussy and his dirty mouth.
“Y’like getting fucked like this? In hotel rooms just to l-leave the next morning?” he smirked as you squirmed under him. “Oh baby n-no, you’re not runnin’ away,” he grabbed one of your arms, pinning you down to the bed with a smirk. “Y’think they can hear us?”
That made you clamp down on him even harder, moaning even louder.
“You like that naughty girl?” he smirked, punctuating every word with a particularly hard thrust.
“Y-yes!” you cried out, barely able to listen to what he was saying. It was all too much, too good, too little.
“Fuck you’re perfect,” He groaned, biting into your neck as he willed himself not to cum. “Such a naughty girl.”
“Yours Lan, a-all yours,” you whined as you felt yourself getting closer. “I-I’m gonna cum!”
“You cum baby,” he huffed. “Give it to me.”
And he pushed you over the edge again. He kept fucking you through your orgasm, making you cum again as the world went blurry and your ears started ringing. Finally, he came inside you, triggering yet another orgasm as you screamed into a pillow.
You fell asleep instantly, and he took it upon himself to get you cleaned up. He cleaned you up with a wet towel, put one of his hoodies on you, and kissed you goodnight before joining the bed and wrapping his arms around you.
୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ⋅୨ৎ
You woke up like that, sore but satisfied with Lando beside you. Then you realised. What had you done?

When you’re standing on the outside, it may seem bizarre to you that rocket scientists aren’t paid more. They are literally rocket scientists, after all, the only people in the world who are not allowed to say “it’s not rocket science” at work. And yet they are often paid somewhat less than a regular old hard-hatted engineer, involved in expensive (and fragile) projects to construct overpriced pedestrian bridges for overpriced private universities. Why is that?
One reason is that the rocket scientists don’t pose much of a threat to management. There’s more of them than there are jobs available building rockets. If they quit, then the bosses will just hire slightly dumber rocket scientists, and pay them even less. Rockets will still go up, and they’ll go where they want to, because of the well-documented history and best practices of the industry. They can keep coasting on this for a little while, maybe even decades, with a barely-perceptible drop in quality. Maybe it’s already happened. Maybe tomorrow is when we find out what the first part of a rocket that has been quality-faded into oblivion is. Hope you don’t live under the flight path.
There is, of course, another approach, and that’s “being a dirtbag.” I myself have a lot of experience in this particular field, and I think it is one of those multi-skilled disciplines that can expand into rocket science if so required. The aforementioned best practices of this industry have been written down and documented so well, in fact, that just some asshole off the street like myself can check them out of the library (using an assumed name, of course,) read them, and know generally all that humanity has figured out over the last century about making rockets that don’t explode. Then, in the language of Silicon Valley influencers, I can “disrupt” the industry.
Of course, by “disrupt” I really mean grift. If management can’t really tell the difference between good rocket scientists and slightly less good ones, then it stands to reason that they’ll give completely bad ones the benefit of the doubt. I can get billions of dollars of venture capital for my space-flight startup, shoot a few Estes rockets into the ceiling of the cafeteria, and still pocket enough dough to be able to afford a base-model Honda Civic from the 1980s. It’s not brain surgery.

My family is very rich, but my father's recently gotten into some legal trouble and our accounts are frozen until that's sorted out, which surely won't be too long. Until then I've had to move in with our landscaper and his son. Carlos is so infuriating! He's an uneducated and tatted up thug with horribly ghetto fashion sense who spends all his time lifting weights or getting into trouble on the streets. He's very hard to live with, but maybe I'll end up being a good influence and rub off on him while I'm stuck here?
It's not easy at the beginning. Carlos is such a lazy good-for-nothing. You tell him about the start-ups you've just founded or the ones you wanted to invest in. He doesn't seem to listen to you at all. He's playing with his cell phone, pumping his biceps with dumbbells. He usually doesn't say a word. To improve your influence on him, you accompany him to the gym. It's amazing. Even though he is usually sluggish, he is focused and disciplined here. Of course, the gym is nothing like the health club where you used to train. But there's nothing wrong with staying in shape. So you sign up. If you tidy up in the evening, mop the floor and clean the toilets, you can even train for free and get a few extra dollars. That's great, especially as it gives you more time to exert your good influence on Carlos.
Somehow Carlos is getting more and more careless. The more time you spend at the gym, the less he shows up. You and your bros at the gym think it's all very stuffy. He also wears less cool clothes. He asks if he can wear some of the shirts you've managed to save. No problem for you, you usually wear his old gym clothes anyway. It's not worth changing your clothes either. Either you're at the gym or you're hanging out with your gym buddies. One of them took you to the tattoo artist the other day. You look hot with that tattoo on your chest. But tattoos are really expensive! One of your bros organizes a job for you as a meat cutter at the slaughterhouse. That's great, then you can work there early in the morning, then have a nap, go to the gym, tidy up and clean and go straight back to the slaughterhouse. It's pretty exhausting. But you have your bros around you the whole time. Only Carlos, the philistine, you hardly ever see. Sometimes, when you do train together again, he asks you a few questions about the startup shit. Dude, you'd better deal with that when you're back in your penthouse. Shit, it's going to be a sick party with your bros and the other guys from the slaughterhouse. But you're happy to help Carlos. The little prick doesn't seem to get anything else together. His parents hardly ever get to see him either.
Carlos moves out of his parents' house. Apparently, the second round of financing has raised 200 million dollars. For some fucking fitness plan app. Shit, you used to have a similar idea. How could Carlos the little prick steal it from you? And how did he even know how to create a pitch deck and raise a financing round? And now it's only just come out that this is his second startup. He implemented the first idea and had a modest exit. But at least he was successful enough to buy your old penthouse at a foreclosure auction. His parents say that you shouldn't be sad. You would be like a son to them. And of course you can stay with them in Carlos' room.
Carlos is cool. On the cover of every business and digitization magazine. The rising star in the startup sky. Somewhere you read shit like "Ingenious combination of big data, big business and big muscles". Supposedly he also bought your family's house on Long Island. Fuck that. He gave you that cool necklace for your birthday. And a voucher for the tattoo artist. You got a tattoo of raw meat. To mark you as a stallion from the slaughterhouses. This is your home. And your destiny.

perhaps foolishly throwing my hat in the ring here about cohost developers making 90k/yr (as someone who used cohost for like five minutes but does work in software. although I'm not even close to making SWE-level money lol): depending on your stack, experience, location, other benefits, etc., that's genuinely in the bottom twentieth percentile for engineer salaries at your average startup, if not lower. especially for a "founding engineer who does literally everything"-type role. idk how much experience these people have or what their stack is, but just to guess, at your average seni-marture startup they could easily double that salary, and at a big FAANG company or whatever stupid acronym we're using now they could probably quadruple that, plus or minus whatever part of your comp package is stock instead of actual salary.
there are a couple interesting/relevant reasons I bring this up: (1) at really really early-stage startups, where you only have four guys and a couple hundred grand in the bank, having bottom-twentieth-percentile salaries is normal *because they make up for it by giving you a shitload stock options that will theoretically be worth a lot in the future*, if things ever take off, although of course they rarely do. in cohost's case, it doesn't seem like stocks and shit were part of their long-term plans (which, fair enough, not trying to say they should've been), so in theory the cohost devs were making a lottt less than your average early-stage startup devs, even though overall comp at an early-stage startup is mostly monopoly money.
(2) the other thing is that if the pay is uncompetitive, which it obviously was, then attracting worthwhile talent is really hard. again, idk these devs, they could all genuinely be very good at their jobs. and cohost was clearly a passion project for them. but it makes me wonder if *some* (not all) of their problems stemmed from technical or even positioning/market issues that having more people or more experienced people would've solved, and they just weren't able to hire them. especially since they were doing design work and moderation and other shit in addition to plain old engineering!
I guess my angle here is that unless you see how the sausage is made, it's really really easy to underestimate just how much money (and human labor!) it takes to build anything, and that most projects only manage to pull it off for as long as they do thanks to a near-bottomless supply of venture capital funding. even not-for-profit community projects (which I was considering whether something like cohost could survive as, but even then I'm unsure) rely on corporate sponsorship and free labor from people who are getting paid a lot of money at their day job. so like many of you I am not at all shocked that they're folding—easy to say in hindsight but I definitely say this coming, although maybe not so quickly lol.
but like, even most VC-funded startups fail despite having way better odds and a shitload more money. legit kudos to them for trying anyway, because the only way we get cool shit is if someone's willing to take a risk and maybe fail. that said as a *user* there's still no way I'd hitch my wagon to a fledgling startup unless I was totally okay with that wagon falling into a gulch within 24 months, because that's usually what happens
interesting insight. thanks boss. much to learn about this world that, as an outsider, seems uniquely annoying and stupid to try to navigate

Will you marry me?
(college-student!Park Seonghwa x Office worker!reader) feat. Students!Ateez
One shot // Absolute Fluffy
(this story is based on a dream I had last night, it was very cute 🥺 🥺)
You met Park Seonghwa during a college party when you were in your last year of studying business administration, while he was starting his first year of computer science. You being a social butterfly met one of his friends Wooyoung, who is also an extrovert and introduced you to his group of friends, all with different personalities, but they got along very well. You were enchanted by Seonghwa pretty quickly, by his calm demeanor and cute smile, you couldn't help but pick an interest in the tall man and he seemed to reciprocate, making efforts to keep a conversation with you and after a while he asked for your number.
You didn't think that night would be so important, but soon became the night you met your future lover. You spent a few days texting him and occasionally seeing him around the campus, until he officially asked you out on a date. He picked you up in his car and brought you to a coffee shop by the evening, you two shared a red velvet cake, he drank bubble tea and you matcha latte and talked about life. You felt truly happy around him and he always had a smile on his lips when he is around you. He gave you that feeling you will never forget.
The sun fell and the night came, so you decided it was time to go. Seonghwa drove you back to the campus and parked his car close by your dorm, getting out first to open the door of your side and help you come out.
"Thank you for today, Seonghwa.. I enjoyed a lot." You walk to your dorm door side by side with Seonghwa, fiddling with the tip of your blouse, not looking at him directly. You felt a bit nervous to what would come next.
"Me too, it's always special for me to spend time with you." Seonghwa had many thoughts running through his head, but one specifically was louder.
"Can I have a kiss?" He asked in a low tone, looking in your eyes as he was standing in the front of your dorm, bringing you home after you third date. The question was so simple yet irregular.. not because you haven't been kissed before but because he was the first person to ask. You felt a bit overwhelmed with happinnes flooding your senses, that tears weld up in your eyes. He didn't know what was going on your head, so your lack of answer and current expression made him panic.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" He with worry in his eyes brought you back to the moment and you stepped closer to kiss his lips gently. He held you closer and you whispered by his ear "You're perfect."
You both were willing to give each other anything and everything. A kiss? what bliss, of course! You became each other's comfort space, and in that space, things just fall into place. Two souls completely transparent to each other became one.
_____________________________________________
That serendipitous friendship that grew into a stronger feeling of a romance with each passing day. The two of you started meeting regularly at the library, initially to study but eventually just to talk and spend time together. You found Seonghwa's enthusiasm for coding and technology infectious, while Seonghwa admired your ability to balance the hectic schedule with grace. You often discussed dreams and aspirations. You talked about your goal of working for a prestigious company, climbing the corporate ladder, and making a significant impact in the business world. Seonghwa, on the other hand, was passionate about creating something of his own—a tech startup that would revolutionize the industry.
The bond between you deepened each day as you supported each other through life challenges. You helped Seonghwa navigate through the complexities of university life, offering him valuable advice on time management and academic success. In return, Seonghwa provided you with a fresh perspective on your life and business ideas, often suggesting innovative tech solutions that could enhance your projects.
_________________________________________
As the end of the academic year approached, you faced the daunting task of finding a job, attending numerous interviews, networked tirelessly, and prepared meticulously for each opportunity. Seonghwa, although still a freshman, offered her unwavering support, often staying up late to help you practice for interviews and refine your resume.
On weekends, you both explored places together, going for coffee, attending networking events, and going around the city. One friday evening, after a particularly grueling day of interviews, Seonghwa took you to a quiet spot on campus where you could see the city lights twinkling in the distance.
“I’m really going to miss this place,” You said quietly, voice tinged with a bit of nostalgia. “But I’m excited for the future.” You smiled softly, turning to look at your boyfriend.
“You’re going to do great, princess. Any company will be lucky to have you." Seonghwa replied, his eyes filled with admiration for you.
At that moment, the air seemed to shift and Seonghwa took a deep breath and, with a nervous smile, said, “But I'm not excited to not seeing you here everyday.” You giggled like a little girl, feeling butterflies on your stomach.
_______________________________________
A while after your graduation, you received a job offer at a prestigious financial firm. The job was more than you had hoped for—challenging, rewarding, and full of opportunities for growth. You thrived in your new role, rising step by step due to your dedication and expertise. Meanwhile, Seonghwa continued to excel in his studies, always keeping you updated on his progress.
During one of your visits back to campus, Seonghwa introduced you to a group of friends with whom he had been working on a startup idea. They were a talented bunch, each one bringing a unique skill set to the table. Seonghwa and his friends had a vision of creating a tech company that would develop cutting-edge software solutions for businesses, they nomitated the project as 'ATEEZ CYBER SOLUTIONS'.
One of his friends, Hongjoong, showed you a presentation about the project, talking about their ideas and plans for the future company. You were impressed by their passion and ambition and offered to help them with the business plan, drawing from your own experience and knowledge. So together, all of you worked to refine the ATEEZ project, preparing for the day when they could turn their dream into reality.
__________________________________________________
A few years went by and Seonghwa's graduation approached, the startup team was ready to launch their own company. They matured the project together and worked hard to gather initial funding, developed a prototype of their software and were eager to bring their product to market. Seonghwa’s excitement was palpable, but he couldn’t shake the nervousness about what the future held for both his career and his relationship with you.
One friday, after a long day of final exams, Seonghwa called you. “I’ll pick you up at work later for a surprise. ” he said, his voice filled with anticipation. You sensed the imporntace of his words and felt a mixture of excitement and anxiety. You couldn’t wait to see him and get to know what the said surprise is.
When Seonghwa arrived at parking lot of your work building, he seemed both nervous and exhilarated. He took you home and told you to get a bag of clothes and beach wear. He took you to you on a car trip to a beach house in a city 2 hours away from where you live to spend the weekend. You spent the first night exploring the city, visiting a famous restaurant, later going back to the house he rented. He held your hand to bring you to the balcony and showed you the pretty view of the sea at night, the ambiance perfect for a heartfelt conversation.
"Oh my, Seonghwa.. This is so pretty!" You didn't see the beach often since you live a bit far from it, you get impressed everytime.
“Princess,” Seonghwa called for you, squeezing your hand in his and you faced him. “these past years have been incredible. I’ve seen you grow into this amazing, successful woman, and I couldn’t be prouder. You’ve always supported me, believed in me, and I can’t imagine my life without you." Your heart raced as you listened to his words.
“Now that I’m about to graduate and we’re launching the startup, I feel like it’s the right time to take the next step in our relationship. I want us to build a future together, not just in our careers, but in our lives too.” You could see the sprinkle of tears appearing by the sides of his eyes. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box. Opening it, he revealed a beautiful ring. “Would you give me the honor of marrying you?”
Tears welled up in your eyes as you stared at the man before you, the one you had grown to love deeply and truly. Without any hesitation, you nodded and said “Yes, Seonghwa. Of course, I will marry you.”
You jumped to hug him tightly in your arms, Seonghwa sighed and squeezed your waist, bringing you to his chest to spin you around.
The engagement marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in your lives. Balancing the demanding careers and planning a wedding was no simple, but the two of you faced each challenge together with unwavering commitment and love.
You continued to work hard at your job, taking on more responsibilities and gaining recognition for her contributions. Your expertise in business administration proved invaluable to Seonghwa's startup, which began to gain traction in the tech industry. You often collaborated on strategies, with you providing insights on market trends and financial planning while Seonghwa worked on product development and innovation.
Despite the busy schedules, you always made time for each other, ensuring that the relationship remained a priority in your lives. You moved in together and enjoyed quiet evenings at home, exploring new hobbies and planning for the future. The love bond grew stronger as you supported each other through the highs and lows.
_______________________________________________
The wedding day came and it was a beautiful cerimony on the same beach house where Seonghwa proposed, the party was intimate, attended by the closest family and friends. A real celebration of love, resilience and the journey you had undertaken together. As you exchanged vows, you both promised to continue supporting and cherishing each other, no matter what the future brings ahead.
With their wedding behind them, you and Seonghwa focused on building the future together. The ATEEZ startup, now officially launched, began to attract attention from investors and first clients. With Seonghwa’s leadership and technical expertise, combined with your business acumen, proved to be a winning combination.
Gradually, you took on a more active role in the company, initially as a side job as financial consultant but eventually joining the team full-time as the Chief Financial Officer a year later. Your strategic vision and financial management skills were crucial in securing additional funding and scaling the business. Under the joint leadership, the company grew rapidly, earning accolades for its innovative solutions and customer-centric approach.
As the company expanded, so did your and Seonghwa's dreams. He envisioned creating a workplace that not only thrived on innovation but also prioritized employee well-being and community impact. You implemented policies that fostered a positive work culture, emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and work-life balance. The company became known not just for its cutting-edge technology but also for its commitment to making a difference in the lives of its employees and the community.
You and Seonghwa grew professionally and personally, becoming a powerful couple who loved each other very much. Years ago, you didn't expect that destiny was preparing such a great future for your life. You were once a young lady entering the university with dreams and you ended up meeting the love of your life and working together for a bigger purpose.
___________________________________________
With the moon glowing by the horizon, you and Seonghwa stood hand in hand on the rooftop of ATEEZ office building. The company had just celebrated their 1 year anniversary. The party was over, but the rooftop was still adorned with twinkling fairy lights, drinks and decorations, a symbol of the journey they had embarked upon together. Seonghwa glanced at you, eyes sparkling with a mixture of love and pride.
“Remember when we started this?” He said softly, leaning his head over your head. “It was just the two of us and a dream.” He smiled, wrapping his arm around you to hug you close. “And now, look at us. A big team, our own office, and changing lives. The journey had been far from easy. There were late nights, moments of doubt, and countless challenges." He thought loudly.
"But through it all, we had each other." You completed his sentence, looking back at the past year and everything that happened. Love was the cornerstone of your success, providing the strength and inspiration you both needed to push forward.
From across the rooftop, the original team members Hongjoong, Yunho, Mingi, Yeosang, San, Wooyoung and Jongho watched the couple in quiet admiration. They had seen firsthand the dedication and passion that you and Seonghwa poured into work and their relationship. This synergy had fostered a family-like atmosphere in the company, making it a place where everyone felt valued and motivated.
Seonghwa reached into his pocket and pulled out a small blue box. You watched in surprise as he opened it to reveal a delicate necklace, a silver pendant shaped like a key. “For you,” he whispered, fastening it around her neck. “The key to my heart and our future.”
Seonghwa never failed to make you emotional with happiness, a tear falling down your eye as you leaned in and kissed him softly. “Here’s to many more years,” you said, reaching for two glasses of champagne.
“Together.” You toasted with big smiles as the city lights twinkled below and they stood embraced, knowing that whatever the future held, they would face it side by side, their love and partnership as unbreakable as ever.
