Aira's personality also changes. Hers makes a certain amount of sense, at least a little bit. I was going to say that Okarun's doesn't, but then, thinking about it, it maybe kind of does? His curse form is depressed all the time, and maybe a bit sarcastic, or at least irreverent.
It could be a combination of who they took their powers from, and their respective personalities and ideals; and who they themselves are as people, on the surface and deep down, taken to a bit of an extreme, and twisted slightly to the left. Aira values herself the most, and puts on a lot of airs; her curse form (tho in this case, is it really a curse?) becomes highly refined and elegant, valuing honor and (presumed) intent. She is, perhaps, a combination of what each person values.
Likewise, Okarun is very repressed, although not to the point of living totally in his own world (barring his alien obsession, and that kind of bore weight in the end, so). He's probably not the happiest person around, certainly not when he and Momo first meet, and when he first becomes cursed. And ofc, Turbo Granny is a cynical old cuss, who probably thinks everything and everyone is a total pain. She also does not tolerate disrespect from other people... though she has very little respect for anybody besides herself.
At least he didn't become a horny creep, I guess; tho Turbo Granny in and of herself doesn't actually display much of that behavior anymore thus far, other than being really crass. She's actually almost nice, even, sometimes. She seems to be enjoying being able to casually wander around a little bit...
