Carrie Fisher's death hit me really hard when it happened. Star Wars has been a huge part of my life, it's always been there and I have no memories that happen (to my knowledge) before I "discovered" it. Some of my earliest memories involve me on the floor of my aunt's living room, playing Return of the Jedi with the speeder-bikes, chicken walkers and the various character action figures (including Leia - boys don't play with toys of girls my pasty white ass) and having a total blast. I'm ashamed to say that I knew very little of her career other than that though, so on the bright side there's a whole bunch of different Carrie Fisher's out there for me to experience for the first time! This HBO documentary special focuses on the relationship between her and her mother, the legendary Debbie Reynolds, and it shows both women at their best and worst.
