What is that discord bot I see you posting about? It seems like a ton of fun and I kinda want it for my group chat

Big Bill is a Discord bot made by CSUF Computer Science graduate Starbladek 

Big Bill was created as a means to replace the discord bot that we had in our server. The old bot, NotSoBot, was choc full of features, but the game it always had playing was a link to a website that showed videos of people like actually committing suicide. There was a sinister “epic kek, triggered?” vibe to the whole thing, and we didn’t appreciate having that sort of energy in our servers.

So Starbladek got to work on creating a new bot that would better suit our needs.

THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OF BIG BILL:

Power:

Every 24 hours you get an opportunity to do a !power call. Big Bill will randomly assign you a power level between 1 and 100. The higher your power, the more important you are culturally for those 24 hours. The goal is to hit 69 power. Hitting 69 power will net you something close to godhood. It is by far the biggest bragging rights of anything on Discord. Yes, this does mean that power levels 70-100 are indeed WORSE than power level 69.

You will retain this POWERFUL role until you !prestige. Doing so will set your power back to 0 so you may continue to do more power calls. Your Prestige level will be set to 1, and will increase every time you manage to prestige. Having 1 prestige makes you 1 better than everyone else, 2 prestige makes you 2 better than everyone else, etc. The main goal of Big Bill is to attain power and prestige.

Other Features of big bill include:SHIBE CALL:

call a shibe and get one out of a thousand pictures. We’re currently working on implementing a rarity system on the shibes as to make the event more exciting. This also keeps track of how many of a certain image has been unboxed.

INDEX/INDEXCALL

If you see an image you want Big Bill to index, just type !index and he’ll search for the most recent picture in the channel posted and save it to a list. He saves the link to the image and can upload it with the `!indexcall [NAME]` command. There is no list of indices outside of Starbladek’s computer and Big Bill’s matrix. The fun then, comes in either memorizing them, or doing random indexcalls. Here’s an example of calling for a specific index vs doing a random indexcall.

By calling “!indexcall iconic” Big Bill posted the Iconic index.

By doing an empty !indexcall, Big Bill will pull a random index and post it. This is an exciting way to find new indices that you can write down or memorize. Currently there is no moderation on what can be indexed, so a LOT of bullshit finds its way in. 

The index system is a great way of calling forth reaction images or relevant memes without having to find them yourself on your hard drive. If Big Bill is online, and you know you have a reaction image indexed, go ahead and call it forth! It’s like a very, very, complicated and complex and slower version of an emoji system.
