Going to be a long and interesting post, but I wanted to say how I think my OC Echo would be like with my Mutuals GOTG OC's, starting off with Magril by @rxin3akamallory

I already explored this a little bit with that short interaction I wrote, but honestly I could see Echo looking up to Magril like a mentor or parental figure, he would definitely need one and I doubt he would listen to anyone except her and maybe Kraglin. Maybe she feels the same, maybe not, but either way Echo would probably always take her advice to heart like a child would their parents.

Up next is Star by @cleo-is-babygirl

Echo would probably treat Star like a sister honestly, if she asked for it he would do it unconditionally, whether it be a piggyback ride, or to steal some cookies for her, he would do it for her, probably convince him to mess with Rocket a little bit, as long as neither get hurt of course. This brother-sister dynamic probably leads to each of them being defensive of the other in various situations, always willing to back each other up whether it be from a threat to their lives or just some jackass, they'll help each other.

Up next is Akira by @bakaotakulife

Honestly I'm not really certain how Echo would get along with Akira, I mean he would certainly try after a while and maybe he asks her to teach him some fighting skills, but I think Echo would just see her as a training partner/coach for most of the time, maybe occasionally discussing their problems. They do eventually reach the point of being friends, but I see this more as an issue with Echo having a hard time trying to find something to bond about, or being too shy to talk about his interests to her.

Lastly, Dr. Meti Geer by @quietanarchist before I start this one I will say to my other mutuals Meti Geer is a bit of an, interesting person, and innuendos are commonplace in his vocabulary so take that in mind for this.

Echo would be much older by this point, and I imagine Echo wouldn't have met his fellow experiments in this reality, so he probably stumbles upon Meti and Rocket on Knowhere after the first story. Echo probably has Meti help him navigate his own personal issues with his identity and possibly relationship advice, meanwhile Echo would probably act as Meti's personal bodyguard when Rocket isn't around, though they probably spend more time talking about dresses. Echo probably at first has to remind Meti the innuendos make him uncomfortable, and it takes a while before Meti 100% can control his vocabulary around him.

Star huffed as she looked at the medical tray, staring at the assortment of materials presented to her. She picked up the scalpel with a hand, handing it over to Sire. He had taken an interest in her besides Rocket, and when she wasn't in pain from her own surgeries she got to watch him perform some .. sometimes even help.

"Z18, what is the difference between a #10 and #12 blade?" He looked down at her, as he began to cut.

"Well, Sire .." Her ears flickered, taking a moment before continuing to speak. "- The size, the shape. To try to cut deep without using a lot of pressure."

"And?"

".. And the way it's used." Star looked up at him, awaiting some sort of recognition. She aimed to please, after all.

"Very good, Z18! Maybe when I'm finished with your motifications, I'll even let you assist next time." The High Evolutionary smiled, before returning back to work. Soon speaking to one of his guards. "Please escort Z18 to were Batch 89 is housed."

"Thank you, Sire. It would be an honor." She lied.

Star hesitantly waved goodbye as she walked back to her friends, her expression soon changing - from one of curiosity to one of anger. She made a vow that day, and decided to hold it close to her heart:

DRAGONCON DAY 2

first of all i think it’s notable that “wonderland” by neoni was going through my head the entire day and i think all of the lyrics are Very Accurate to how i felt: “hello, come in, welcome to the freak show…” /pos

i cosplayed as glamrock chica on this day!

Stuff and Things that Happened:

-forgot to put on foundation (it was fine)

-dipper pines liked my cosplay

-various more instances of “hi barbie!” (and one said it back to me :D)

-actually many people mistook me for barbie and i was told i had barbie energy

-two guys passed me and one went “hi barbie” and the other one said “no that’s chica”

-we saw a withered bonnie that was yellow?? we saw it again later and I think it was maybe a cross between bonnie and chica or bonnie and springtrap

-saw a korok that i screamed “GOOD LUCK FINDING YOUR FRIEND” at and their handler went “that’s where we’re taking him right now!”

-there was a cuphead show panel and the voice actors spent the entire time dodging around character names cause of the strike and it was HILARIOUS

-the staff was all super nice

-met a super sweet young fnaf puppet cosplayer who got so excited to see me and i got to take a photo with her :D

-my dad actually got recognized and asked for photos twice despite cosplaying from an obscure 80s miniseries

-tiny child came to give Many Thoughts at a Star Wars panel—the panelists said and i quote “he kicked our butts last panel”

-there was an incomplete circle of rocks outside and when i completed it a little girl dressed as a korok popped out from behind a statue and gave me a mini snickers wrapped like a korok seed!

-there was a fnaf panel! a bunch of people complimented my cosplay and i got photos with some cool people! fan interactions are so much fun :D

-squEEEEE LITTLE TINY CHILD CAME UP TO ASK IF I WAS GLAMROCK CHICA AND SHE WAS LIKE “i can tell you’re glamrock chica cause i played that game—well i didn’t play that game but i’ve seen it. and chica is super fast.” SHE WAS SO CUTE MY HEART

It’s Complicated - 3/3

Rocket reflects as he finds himself alone with Star after Tony Stark’s funeral.

Well, the Avengers did it - new and old members. They stopped Thanos, the Universe was saved - but at a cost - the life of Tony Stark. After the funeral, Rocket and Star stood by each other. He took a small sigh, looking out towards the lake, trying to find some peace.

He and Tony didn’t really get along well, but he will remember an exchange they had recently.

“Hey.” Tony stretched as he entered the lab, Rocket’s ears flickered as he slowly spun around in the chair he was sitting in. What could he possibly want now? He was busy.

“So .. Ratchet - I mean Rocket, who’s this girl you’re daydreaming about?” Stark smirked.

“I do not daydream, and her name is Star ..” Rocket cringed, raising a hand to pull his goggles up.

“Do you like her?”

“…”

“Come on man, if there’s one thing I know is I can tell when someone is in love. You like her, don’t you?” Stark pulled up a chair, crossing one leg over another. Rocket’s ears lowered slightly, not sure what to say.

“Life is short man, what we’re doing here might kill us .. take your shot with her.” Stark chuckled.

With that, Rocket looked over at Star - her eyes were closed. The wind making their fur move a bit. Rocket hesitated as he took a step closer .. then he gently grabbed her hand.

Star flinched from this, her eyes opening as she looked up at Rocket. She smirked, soon letting go of his hand. This caught the raccoon off guard for a second, but then the tanuki moved so she was in front of him. She raised her hands up, gently cupping Rocket’s cheeks.

“…” A small growl escaped his lips as he lowered his head to her, their noises now pressing against each other. Star closed her eyes, purring as a response.

He continued to growl softly, staring down at her as he closed his eyes briefly.

Rocket had put up a lot of walls in his life, yet this specific wall had been broken down. Star found ways to creep through the cracks and into Rocket’s heart.

Maybe letting someone love him wasn’t going to be as bad as he thought.

Rocket definitely has a rhyme he use to say to Star when they were both younger:
