I just learned of a great man that I got to converse with in depth once, Stanton Friedman, has recently passed. What a cool cat he was! When I saw that he showed up in a galactic tie, I was already itching to strike a conversation with him. He was so kind and very knowledgeable and he gladly welcomed some shared moments in this thing we call time. The discussion ranged all over, from ethics, experience, art, design, travel and innovation. A great man may have left to begin a journey the ones of us remiaining here can only imagine, but I'm grateful to cherish the moments I got to get to know him a little better! UFO LEGEND: STANTON T. FRIEDMAN - Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The late and legendary UFO Researcher, Author, Lecturer and Celebrity UFO Expert Stanton T. Friedman is seen helping a patron sort their books at the 31st Ozark Mountain UFO Conference (2018) in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Called “The Dean of Ufology,” Mr. Friedman was a Nuclear Physicist who left his science research career to devote himself full-time to the study of UFOs and talking about their reality to the public. At the top of the heap of the UFO lecture circuit for decades, the much-respected Friedman delivered over 900 UFO lectures around the world. A principal Roswell researcher, Friedman wrote several books on the now-famous saucer crash story and the resulting cover-up. Stanton Friedman was well-regarded as an expert on the UFO Phenomenon and appeared on countless TV and radio programs (including “Coast to Coast”) and multitude of feature documentaries. Stanton passed away in May of 2019 - while traveling on the lecture road to talk about a subject that he loved and communicated about so well. (NOTE: A few moments before I took this photo Mr. Friedman and I were engaged in conversation when we heard word that famed “Coast to Coast” radio icon Art Bell had passed. We talked fondly of him and mourned his loss. To hear of Art’s death while in the company of one of his favorite guests was one of those profound instances that the Universe sometimes provides. Let’s give this man a hats off for his integrity & open mindedness & research into the field of #Ufology. If anyone ever gave any real substance to the #UFO topic short of turning the field into a pseudoscientific religion; it was this #greatman and his name is #StantonFriedman. I captured his candid portrait at the 2018 #RoswellFest in #NewMexico & it was his last Roswell event before his death. I got to know the guy on a more personal level & even had the privilege of guarding his booth at UFO conferences a time or two. There was hardly ever a UFO documentary that wouldn’t host this nuclear physicist in order for him to weigh in with an educated professional opinion on the subject. He was even a regular, it seemed, on Larry King Live! I miss those days in the 1990s. When Stanton passed I believe he earned a respectable place somewhere out there in the cosmos as well! I got to know Dr. Friedman personally and even watched his table for him a few times and had the pleasure of getting to know him before he retired from appearing publicly. I’m not sad because death is only a change between worlds and now Stanton is receiving all the answers and proof he was always looking for. Feel honored to have brushed shoulders with #StantonFriedman (Father of Modern #Ufology) quite a few times between 2015 to July of 2018 at the Res UFO Fest where he announced that he would no longer be appearing publicly and is retiring to take it easy. I used to watch this guy on #LarryKingLive and some of those shows way back in the 1990s; never did I fathom that I would be talking with him face to face. Stanton is a good man and a sound and objective researcher and scientist. (at Fort Mcdowell, Arizona)
