Eddie shrugs, sort of looking apologetic but Buck waves it off. “We’ll take two burgers for the main course, with the sauce on the side for him and extra pickles for me-” Buck tries to fight the way he feels flustered. 

Of course, Eddie knows him. It’s them. But Eddie knowing him in this way, for a date, for something that usually ends in a stroll to the car where you’re unsure if the other person wants to see you again but then they text you after and you mentally squeal like a teenager who’s gotten ask to the prom by their lifelong crush, it makes him yearn for more. 

“And an IPA for him as well.” 

When the waiter goes over the order and then walks away, Buck squints at him and leans forward a bit. “Are you trying to get me drunk?”
