“Name me a single objective we’ve ever set out to accomplish that we’ve failed on. Name me one, in all of our history. Not one!”
-President Joe Biden, August 16, 2023
Joe Biden in one of his now accustomed angry “get off my grass” moods dared the press to find just one of his policies/objectives that has not worked. Silence followed.
Perhaps it was polite to say nothing, given even the media knows almost every enacted Biden policy has failed.
Here is a summation of what he should instead apologize for.
Biden in late summer 2021 sought a 20th anniversary celebration of 9/11 and the 2001 subsequent invasion of Afghanistan. He wished to be the landmark president that yanked everyone out of Afghanistan after 20 years in country. But the result was the greatest military humiliation of the United States since the flight from Vietnam in 1975.
Consider the ripples of Biden’s disaster. U.S. deterrence was crippled worldwide. China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea almost immediately began to bluster or return to their chronic harassment of U.S. and allied ships and planes. We left thousands of allied Afghans to face Taliban retribution, along with some Western contractors.
Biden abandoned a $1 billion embassy, and a $300 million remodeled Bagram airbase strategically located not far from China and Russia, and easily defensible. Perhaps $50 billion in U.S. weaponry and supplies were abandoned and now find their way into the international terrorist mart.
All our pride flags, our multimillion gender studies programs at Kabul University, and our George Floyd murals did not just come to naught, but were replaced by the Taliban’s anti-homosexual campaigns, burkas, and detestation of any trace of American popular culture.
Vladimir Putin sized up the skedaddle. He collated it with Biden’s unhinged quip that he would not get too excited if Putin just staged a “minor” invasion of Ukraine. He remembered Biden’s earlier request to Putin to modulate Russian hacking to exempt a few humanitarian American institutions. Then Russia concluded of our shaky Commander-in-Chief that he either did not care or could do nothing about another Russian invasion.
The result so far is more than 500,000 dead and wounded in the war, a Verdun-stand-off along with fortified lines, the steady depletion of our munitions and weapon stocks, and a new China/Russia/Iran/North Korean axis, with wink and nod assistance from NATO Turkey.
Biden blew up the Abraham accords, nudged Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States over to the dark side of Iran, China, and Russia. He humiliated the U.S. on the eve of the midterms by callously begging the likes of Iran, Venezuela, Russia, and Saudi Arabia to pump more oil that he had damned as unclean at home and cut back its production. In Bidenomics, instead of producing oil, the president begs autocracies to export it to us at high prices while he drains the nation’s strategic petroleum reserve for short-term political advantage.
Biden deliberately alienated Israel by openly interfering in its domestic politics. He pursued the crackpot Iran Deal while his special Iranian envoy was removed for disclosing classified information.
No one can explain why Biden ignored the Chinese balloon espionage caper, kept mum about the engineered Covid virus that escaped the Wuhan lab, said not a word about a Chinese biolab discovered in rural California, and had his envoys either bow before Chinese leaders or take their insults in silence—other than he is either cognitively challenged or leveraged by his decade-long grifting partnership with his son Hunter.
Yet another Biden’s legacy will be erasing the southern border and with it, U.S. immigration law. Over seven million aliens simply crossed into the U.S. illegally with Biden’s tacit sanction—without audits, background checks, vaccinations, and COVID testing, much less English fluency, skills, or high-school diplomas.
Biden’s only immigration accomplishment was to render the entire illegal sanctuary city movement a cruel joke. Given the flood, mostly rich urban and vacation home dwellers made it very clear that while they fully support millions swarming into poor Latino communities of southern Texas and Arizona, they do not want any illegal aliens fouling their carefully cultivated nests.
Biden is mum about the 100,000 fentanyl deaths from cartel-imported and Chinese-supplied drugs across his open border. He seems to like the idea that Mexican President Obrador periodically mouths off, ordering his vast expatriate community to vote Democratic and against Trump.
Despite all the pseudo-blue collar dissimulation about Old Joe Biden from Scranton, he has little empathy for the working classes. Indeed, he derides them as chumps and dregs, urges miners to learn coding as the world covets their coal, and studiously avoids getting anywhere near the toxic mess in East Palestine, Ohio, or so far the moonscape on Maui.
Bidenomics is a synonym for printing up to $6 billion dollars at precisely the time post-Covid consumer demand was soaring, while previously dormant supply chains were months behind rebooting production and transportation. Biden is on track to increase the national debt more than any one-term president.
In Biden’s weird logic, if he raised the price of energy, gasoline, and key food staples 20-30 percent since his inauguration without a commensurate rise in wages, and then saw the worst inflation in 40 years occasionally decline from record highs one month to the next, then he “beat inflation.”
But the reason why more than 60 percent of the nation has no confidence in Bidenomics is because it destroyed their household budgets. Gas is nearly twice what it was in January 2021. Interest rates have about tripled. Key staple foods are often twice as costly—meat, vegetables, and fruits especially.
Biden has ended through his weaponized Attorney General Merrick Garland the age-old American commitment to equal justice under the law. The FBI, DOJ, CIA, and IRS are hopelessly politically compromised. Many of their bureaucrats serve as retrieval agents for lost Biden family incriminating laptops, diaries, and guns. In sum, Biden criminalized opposing political views.
Biden has unleashed the administrative state for the first time in history to destroy the Republican primary front runner and his likely opponent. His legacy will be the corruption of U.S. jurisprudence and the obliteration of the American reputation for transparent permanent government that should be always above politics, bribery, and corruption.
If in the future, an on-the-make conservative prosecutor in West Virginia, Utah, or Mississippi wishes to make a national name, then he has ample precedent to indict a Democrat President for receiving bad legal advice, questioning the integrity of an election, or using social media to express doubt that the new non-Election-Day balloting was on the up-and-up, or supposedly overvaluing his real estate.
The Biden family’s decade-long family grifting will likely expose Joe Biden as the first president in U.S. history who fitted precisely the Constitution’s definition of impeachment and removal—given his “high crimes and misdemeanors” appear “bribery”-related. If further evidence shows he altered U.S. foreign policy in accordance with the wishes from his benefactors in Ukraine, China, or Romania, then he committed constitutionally-defined “treason” as well.
Defunding the police, and pandemics of exempted looting, shoplifting, smashing, and grabbing, and carjacking merit no administrative attention. Nor does the ongoing systematic destruction of our blue bicoastal cities, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. All that, along with the disasters in East Palestine or Maui are out of sight, out of mind from a day at the beach at Biden’s mysteriously purchased nearly 6,000 square-foot beachfront mansion.
Biden ran on Barack Obama-like 2004 rhetoric (“Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America — there is the United States of America).”
And like Obama, he used that ecumenical sophistry to gain office only to divide further the U.S. No sooner than he was elected, we began hearing from the great unifier eerie screaming harangues about “semi-fascists” and “ultra-MAGA” dangerous zealots, replete with red-and black Phantom of the Opera backdrops.
What followed the unifying rhetoric was often amnesties and exemptions for violent offenders during the 120 days of rioting, looting, killing, and attacks on police officers in summer 2020. In contrast, his administration lied when it alleged that numerous officers had died at the hands of the January 6 rioters. In addition, the Biden administration mandated long-term incarceration of many who committed no illegal act other than acting like buffoons and “illegally parading.”
The message was exemptions for torching a federal courthouse, a police precinct, or historic church or attempting to break into the White House grounds to get a president and his family—but long prison terms for wearing cow horns, a fur vest, and trespassing peacefully like a lost fool in the Capitol.
Finally, Biden’s most glaring failure was simply being unpresidential. He snaps at reporters, and shouts at importune times. He can no longer read off a big-print teleprompter. Even before a global audience, he cannot kick his lifelong creepy habit of turkey-gobbling on children necks, blowing into their ears and hair of young girls, and squeezing women far too long and far too hard.
His frailty redefined American presidential campaigning as basement seclusion and outsourcing propaganda to the media. And his disabilities only intensified during his presidency. Biden begins his day late and quits early. He has recalibrated the presidency as a 5-hour, 3-day a week job.
If Trump was the great exaggerator, Biden is our foremost liar. Little in his biography can be fully believed. He lies about everything from his train rides to the death of his son to his relationship with Biden-family foreign collaborators, to vaccinations to the economy. Anytime Biden mentions places visited, miles flown, or rails ridden, he is likely lying.
Biden continues with impunity because the media feels that a mentally challenged fabulist is preferable to Donald Trump and so contextualizes or ignores his falsehoods. Never has a U.S. president fallen and stumbled or gotten lost on stage so frequently—or been a single small trip away from incapacity.
So, yes, Biden’s initiatives have succeeded only in the sense of becoming successfully enacted—and therefore nearly destroying the country.

The devastating earthquake on Feb. 6 that ravaged south and central Turkey and northwestern Syria, resulting in the loss of more than 46,000 lives, revealed many fault lines beyond those in the earth. It’s been noted that the disaster has exposed the widespread corruption—in the form of the many shoddy construction contracts that were approved by the government despite tightened regulations that had been adopted after the 1999 Izmit earthquake—on which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s rule of 20 years has been based. But the earthquake has also brought to light a fault line between the country’s scientists and academics and a regime based on contempt and disregard for knowledge and expertise.
Turkey’s scientific community of geologists, engineers, and architects knew and warned that an earthquake might occur sooner rather than later. Turkish Academy of Sciences member Naci Gorur, a professor of geology, warned about active earthquake fault lines three days before disaster hit Kahramanmaras and neighboring provinces in early February. He had told the public and the government that it should soon anticipate another violent trembling of the earth. When I visited the Academy of Sciences in mid-December, this possibility was being openly discussed.
Of course, earthquakes, like tornadoes, are notoriously difficult to predict, but when they do hit, they may be less devastating to life and property if well-established international scientific and technological guidelines have been followed. These include not only construction guidelines but also preparations of large empty spaces in the centers of cities and towns where people can congregate when buildings shake, crack, or start collapsing. Instead, the Erdogan government granted zoning amnesties to contractors that allowed them to ignore safety codes and skirt construction guidelines.
Building on a monumental scale has been the mark of Erdogan’s regime. The new Istanbul Airport—which opened in October 2018 and slowly replaced the old Istanbul Ataturk Airport—has a planned capacity of 200 million passengers per year. Its size of 7,594 hectares (19,000 acres) will make it one of the world’s largest airports, ahead of those in Beijing, Atlanta, and Dubai. The writer Kaya Genc observed: “Many consider the airport and Erdogan’s two other huge infrastructure projects, a new intercontinental bridge in Istanbul and a canal connecting the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara, as irrational endeavors.” Even Erdogan has called them “crazy projects.”
The proposed canal connecting the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara has been opposed by scientists, architects, and urbanists for years on account of the ecological damage it could cause to life forms, ancient waterways, and the historic center of Istanbul, which would become an island squeezed between the Bosphorus Strait and the new canal.
Yet Erdogan’s magical thinking does not stop at building projects. His economic logic has been equally remote from scientific assessments. To pay for this frenzied construction, he has kept interest rates low for years, leading to a substantial fall in the value of the Turkish lira. A well-known academic and journalist friend put the matter succinctly: “I try to stand where I am financially, but the ground under my feet shifts me and sends me backward.”
Political theorist Hannah Arendt observed that a certain defiance of reality and remoteness from facts are characteristic of totalitarian thinking. Erdogan is not a totalitarian ruler but an authoritarian one in a country struggling to maintain the institutions of a multiparty democracy. His dismissal of facts as fabrications of his enemies and his contempt for those who point to economic or environmental realities that cannot be bent at will are characteristic of his mindset as well. Having devoted the last decade to a Kulturkampf against the media, universities, academics, and scientists, Erdogan is depriving Turkey of one of its most important assets in the hour of its greatest need.
As Ersin Kalaycioglu, one of the country’s distinguished political scientists and constitutional experts, observed in an email to members of the Turkish Academy of Sciences with regards to the government using the earthquake as an excuse to shift all university education online: “It is a big mistake to burden our young people with all the difficulties of online instruction precisely after two years of the COVID pandemic during which they were not able to receive a proper education.” Whether the government wanted to use university dormitories to accommodate thousands of newly homeless victims or whether, by disbanding students from campuses, it wanted to defuse political organizing and resistance is a moot question. Probably both considerations were involved in the decision reached by Erdogan and the Council of Higher Education.
Oct. 29, 2023, marks the centenary of the Turkish Republic. Turkey rose from the ashes of the Ottoman Empire after a war of independence against European imperial powers that had been dividing the country among its inhabitants—and repressing the memory of the genocide of Ottoman Armenians in 1915. It could have been a model for post-colonial nations everywhere.
Yet during my visit last December, my colleagues’ and former students’ pride about the anniversary of the republic was tinged by a discouragement and sadness I hadn’t seen before. Two decades of rule by Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party and his Machiavellian authoritarianism had left them demoralized. Many doubted that elections scheduled for June 2023 would actually be held. Some of my aging relatives there, in their 80s, believe that, if Erdogan seems likely to lose, the elections will not be held. With martial law now declared in provinces hit by the earthquake, and with the magnitude of the disaster becoming public in the rest of the country, Erdogan may postpone the elections until the hostility toward his party has subsided and his fortunes appear more secure.
It may seem churlish to view natural disasters through political lenses. Yet the economist Amartya Sen’s study of famine in India showed that open societies, in which knowledge and information flow freely, are better able to cope with catastrophic events than are authoritarian regimes that repress the circulation of solid information and professional assessments.
It is too late now for the 40,000 dead and the millions of others who fear for and mourn their loved ones, their livelihoods, and their homes, but the fault lines bared by this catastrophic quake must be bridged in the future. The 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey is the right occasion.

An hour’s drive from where I grew up, there’s an atom-smasher large enough to see from space. When I was 7 years old, they created a four trillion degree substance inside of it that was the same as the fluid that filled the Universe shortly after the Big Bang. And overhead, in one of the largest surviving plots of New York’s pine barrens, deer and turkeys romp and graze and go about their business with no inkling of what lies beneath.
But, I mean, that’s just @brookhavenlab.
When I said to my friends on Discord the other night that Brookhaven National Lab and the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider were “in the background noise” of my childhood, I meant it in the way that everyone considers their hometown to be somewhat mundane. Because that’s the place you’re most familiar with, the place you grew up knowing day-in-and-day-out, and that can make anything about it feel unremarkable.
I lived about an hour away, so my family didn’t work there, and neither did the families of anyone at my school, but we did go there on field trips, and occasionally had scientists who worked there come do presentations. I don’t mean to imply that I didn’t find these field trips or presentations very interesting, because I did. But because they happened so regularly they were more like “special treats but not extraordinary”. It wasn’t something once-in-a-lifetime, like going to Space Camp or Walt Disney World.
But the most tangible presence of Brookhaven Lab for us was seeing it on “Exit” signs on the Long Island Expressway when driving to or from The City. In a school library or classroom, there would be the occasional mousepad or poster in a school classroom showing the RHIC from space, probably a bit faded towards the end of my High School years. At a track meet, I’d see another parent standing next to my father who had a CERN tote bag and comment on it, and they’d say they’d been a contractor at the lab doing construction on a day there had been physicists visiting from Europe.
If you had asked me in High School, I probably would have guessed that while there might not be particle accelerators like the RHIC within an hour’s drive of everywhere in the US, there was probably one in every region, maybe every National Laboratory, and ours might, for example, just be the only one in the Northeast. There was no sense, amidst this background noise, that there was presently only one other comparable facility in the US, the Tevatron. That was only something I realized in college, when that facility was shut down.
So maybe it’s the case, even having toured the RHIC and spoken to its operators, that anything you grew up near will never feel quite as remarkable to you as to someone who grew up elsewhere. How could it? It’s part of the background noise.

US releases F-16 upgrade technology for Turkey after Finland joins NATO
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 04/18/2023 - 08:18 in Military
The U.S. State Department approved the potential sale of technology equipment to Turkey for the upgrade of its current fleet of F-16 aircraft.
Included in the sales approval are the software updates of the Operational Flight Program (OFP) avionics with the capability of the Automatic Ground Collision Prevention System (AGCAS), while the hardware modifications would allow the integration of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System Block Upgrade II (MIDS BU II), which would be purchased separately.
The potential agreement could cost up to $259 million and was approved by the U.S. after Turkey slowed down its position on NATO, leaving aside its objections to Finland's entry into the alliance.
Turkey continues to oppose Sweden's accession to the alliance, effectively vetoing Sweden's accession, as unanimous approval is necessary for a country to participate.
“This sale proposal will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States, helping to improve Turkey’s interoperability with NATO and ensuring flight safety for existing F-16 aircraft in Turkey,” said the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The main contractor will be Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company of Fort Worth, TX.
A larger deal, the request from NATO member Turkey to buy $20 billion in new Lockheed Martin F-16 fighters and nearly 80 modernization kits that was requested in October 2021 remains in limbo amid continued opposition in the U.S. Congress, as U.S. lawmakers are seeking assurances from Turkey on issues that go beyond NATO's Nordic expansion.
These issues include easing tensions with Greece forever, refraining from an invasion of northern Syria and enforcing sanctions against Russia.
If approved by Congress during the formal approval process, the package will be the first major military sale to Turkey approved by Congress in years.
“Turkey is a long-standing and valuable NATO allied nation,” a State Department spokesman said in a statement. “The Biden administration supports Turkey’s efforts to raise the avionics of its F-16 fleet to the standard.”
Turkey is looking to upgrade its F-16 fleet while continuing to work on its locally developed next-generation fighter program. The country was forced to launch the TF-X fighter program after the U.S. expelled it from the F-35 program because of the purchase of Russian S-400 anti-missile defense systems.

Army recruiting woes (AP) While some Republicans blame the COVID-19 vaccine or “wokeness” for the Army’s recruiting woes, the military service says the bigger hurdles are more traditional ones: Young people don’t want to die or get injured, deal with the stress of Army life and put their lives on hold. They “just don’t see the Army as something that’s relevant,” said Maj. Gen. Alex Fink, head of Army marketing. “They see us as revered, but not relevant, in their lives.” Addressing those longtime issues has taken on greater urgency as the Army tries to recover from its worst recruiting year in decades, a situation aggravated by the tight jobs market. The Army fell about 15,000 soldiers, or 25%, short of its 60,000 recruitment goal last year, when all the branches struggled to meet recruiting goals.
United States tells citizens: depart Russia immediately (Reuters) The United States has told its citizens to leave Russia immediately due to the war in Ukraine and the risk of arbitrary arrest or harassment by Russian law enforcement agencies. “U.S. citizens residing or travelling in Russia should depart immediately,” the U.S. embassy in Moscow said. “Exercise increased caution due to the risk of wrongful detentions.” “Do not travel to Russia,” the embassy said. The United States has repeatedly warned its citizens to leave Russia. The last such public warning was in September after President Vladimir Putin ordered a partial mobilisation.
Amnesty in Turkey for Construction Violations Is Scrutinized After Quake (NYT) On the campaign trail in 2019, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey praised legislation that his political party had pushed through allowing property owners to have construction violations forgiven without bringing their buildings up to code. The move was risky in Turkey, a fault-ridden land prone to earthquakes that had tightened those same codes to make buildings more tremor proof. But it appealed to voters. At rallies, Mr. Erdogan said the legislation had “solved the problems” of more than 438,000 property owners. Now, after last week’s devastating earthquake, those areas are blanketed with toppled buildings that entombed their residents when they fell. The death toll in southern Turkey and northern Syria passed 33,000 on Sunday, and survivors and building experts have said that poor construction most likely exacerbated the scale of the quake’s destruction, as well as the number of lives lost. The Turkish government has responded by arresting building contractors with ties to collapsed buildings, and the Justice Ministry has set up investigation bureaus for earthquake crimes across the affected area. But construction experts say the builders could not have completed their projects without approvals from a range of officials who have so far escaped scrutiny for possibly signing off on subpar work.
Quake survivors in Turkey ask what’s next (AP) Thousands who survived the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria a week ago are pondering what comes next. While many have been evacuated from the devastated region, others are staying by wrecked homes as the search for missing loved ones continues. A week after the quakes hit, many people were still without shelter in the streets. Some survivors were still waiting in front of collapsed buildings for the bodies of their loved ones to be retrieved. In the village of Polat, in Malatya province, some 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the epicenter, almost no houses were left standing. Residents were trying to salvage refrigerators, washing machines and other goods from wrecked homes. Resident Zehra Kurukafa said not enough tents had arrived, forcing up to four families to share the tents that were available. In the city of Adiyaman, 25-year-old Musa Bozkurt was waiting for a vehicle to transport him and others to the city of Afyon, in western Turkey. “We’re going away but we have no idea what will happen when we get there” Bozkurt said. Fuat Ekinci, a 55-year-farmer, was reluctant to leave his home in rural Adiyaman for Afyon despite the destruction, saying he didn’t have the means to live elsewhere and had fields that need to be tended.
They Are Russians Fighting Against Their Homeland (NYT) The soldier knelt in the snow, aimed a rocket launcher and fired in the direction of Russian troops positioned about a mile away. He was set up at a Ukrainian firing position, and looked just like the other Ukrainian troops fighting south of the city of Bakhmut in one of the most brutal theaters of the war. But he and his comrades are not Ukrainian. They are soldiers in a Ukrainian military unit made up entirely of Russians who are fighting and killing their own countrymen. They have taken up arms against Russia for a variety of reasons: a sense of moral outrage at their country’s invasion, a desire to defend their adopted homeland of Ukraine or because of a visceral dislike of Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin. And they have earned enough trust from Ukrainian commanders to take their place among the forces viciously fighting the Russian military. “A real Russian man doesn’t engage in such an aggressive war, won’t rape children, kill women and elderly people,” said one Russian fighter with the military call sign Caesar, ticking off atrocities committed by Russian soldiers that motivated him to leave his native St. Petersburg and fight for Ukraine. “That’s why I don’t have remorse. I do my job and I’ve killed a lot of them.” Nearly a year into the war, the Free Russia Legion, as the unit is called, has received little attention—in part to protect the soldiers from reprisals by Russia, but also because of reluctance within the Ukrainian military to highlight the efforts of soldiers whose home country has done so much harm to Ukraine. Several hundred of them are concentrated in the area around Bakhmut, in eastern Ukraine, officials said; they are always grouped with their own but are overseen by Ukrainian officers.
Pakistan on the brink (The Intercept) The last year has brought Pakistan to the brink. A series of rolling disasters—including catastrophic flooding, political paralysis, exploding inflation, and a resurgent terror threat—now risk sending a key, if troubled, global player into full-blown crisis. If the worst comes to pass, as some experts warn, the catastrophe unfolding in Pakistan will have consequences far beyond its borders. “This is a country of 220 million people, with nuclear weapons and serious internal conflicts and divisions,” said Uzair Younus, the director of the Pakistan Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center. “The world didn’t like the outflows of refugees and weapons that came from countries like Syria and Libya. In comparison, Pakistan is magnitudes larger and more consequential.” It is hard to overstate the difficulty of Pakistan’s current situation. The country’s foreign reserves have reportedly dwindled to a mere $3.7 billion, barely enough for a few weeks of energy imports to keep its cities and businesses running, while its public debt has grown to a staggering $270 billion.
China says at least 10 U.S. balloons have flown over its airspace since 2022 (Washington Post) China’s Foreign Ministry on Monday said the United States has sent at least 10 unsanctioned balloons into Chinese airspace since last year, as the two countries feud over a Chinese airship discovered and shot down by the U.S. military earlier this month. Hitting back at allegations that Beijing had used the balloon, discovered floating over the central United States, for surveillance, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said in a press briefing that it was “common” for U.S. high-altitude balloons to fly into other countries’ airspace. The National Security Council denied the allegation. The comments come after a U.S. fighter jet shot down another unknown object flying off the coast of Alaska on Friday. U.S. and Canadian officials then said a U.S. fighter jet shot down an unidentified object in Canadian airspace on Saturday. A fourth object was shot down over Lake Huron Sunday afternoon.
Philippines says China ship used laser to hinder coast guard (AP) The Philippines on Monday accused a Chinese coast guard ship of hitting a Philippine coast guard vessel with a military-grade laser and temporarily blinding some of its crew in the disputed South China Sea, calling it a “blatant” violation of Manila’s sovereign rights. The Chinese ship also maneuvered dangerously close, about 137 meters (449 feet), to block the Philippine patrol vessel BRP Malapascua from approaching Second Thomas Shoal, a submerged reef that has been occupied by Philippine forces, on Feb. 6, the Philippine coast guard said in a statement. China claims the South China Sea virtually in its entirety, putting it on a collision course with other claimants. Despite friendly overtures to Beijing by former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and his successor, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who met Chinese leader Xi Jinping in January in Beijing, tensions have persisted, drawing in closer military alliance between the Philippines and the U.S.
Arab leaders warn Israeli actions threaten regional turmoil (AP) Dozens of leaders and senior officials from Arab and Islamic countries warned on Sunday Israeli actions in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank could worsen regional turmoil, as violence surges between Israel and the Palestinians. The high-level gathering came amid one of the deadliest periods of fighting in years in Jerusalem and the neighboring Israeli-occupied territory. Forty-five Palestinians have been killed so far this year, according to a count by The Associated Press. Palestinians have killed 10 people on the Israeli side during that time. Speakers at the meeting condemned Israel’s “unilateral measures” in Jerusalem and the West Bank in statements, including home demolitions and expanding settlements. They also condemned visits by Israeli officials to the city’s contested holy site, which is sacred to both Jews and Muslims and has often been the epicenter of Israeli-Palestinian unrest.
Teen gives 16,000 valentines to people who might not otherwise get one (Washington Post) Patrick Kaufmann made 30 valentine cards along with some friends as a youth volunteer at a D.C. food nonprofit several years ago. His handmade cards were tucked inside home-delivery meal packages and sent to sick children and adults. Afterward, Patrick, then 10, said he couldn’t stop wondering if there might be other people who would appreciate a valentine but wouldn’t be receiving one. In the fall of 2020, Patrick asked students at his school to make 300 valentines to deliver on Valentine’s Day 2021 with meal packages provided by Food & Friends, a D.C. charity that helps people with cancer, HIV, AIDS and other serious illnesses. Then in 2022, he upped his game, enlisting the help of students at several D.C.-area schools to craft more than 3,000 cards. This year he supersized it: He organized making and delivering 16,000 valentines for people who otherwise likely wouldn’t get one. They were created by students at 62 schools in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, said Patrick, now 14, who personally recruits the classrooms that volunteer. In the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, the boxes of cards are picked up at his home in Potomac, Md., by delivery drivers and are taken to about 60 organizations Patrick has coordinated with. “They mean a lot to people who don’t have much family and are living alone,” said Patrick, a ninth grader at Washington International School in D.C.

idk if you would do something like this: but maybe going immediately cold turkey with bucky’s winter soldier mask was too abrupt for him. he wore it for so long so what if he had to taper off wearing it & wears it sometimes for comfort. he obviously has insecurity built around it & feels poorly abt doing it sometimes but he feels scared sometimes without it at first. maybe a little writing abt how his s/o handles that & is sweet & kind to him about it?
mask
pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader, Steve Rogers x Bucky Barnes (platonic)
warnings: angst, fluff, Fury yelling.
a/n: hope you enjoy!
you were a little shocked the first time he put it on.
you knew he was having an off day, and you were treading carefully around him, not wanting to upset him.
he was touching his face constantly, and would cover his mouth, and only then would he calm down. you asked him what was wrong and he shook his head, his hand still clamped over his mouth. you shook away the thought, and went about your day.
a few hours later, you couldn’t find Bucky. you looked around the entire compound, before asking F.R.I.D.A.Y where he was. she informed you he was in your shared room, and when you went there, your heart melted.
he was curled up in the blankets, asleep with his Winter Soldier mask on his face. you sat next to him and played with his hair until he woke up. when he made eye contact with you, he got a terrified look on his face and ripped the mask off as fast as he could, breaking it accidentally.
he looked at it with a frown, and you decided to ask.
“do you like wearing the mask?” you asked, and he nodded.
“it makes me feel safe. i know i was never safe with HYDRA, but when i had this and the goggles on, i was able to be myself. i was able to cry in secret because if i cried around the agents they’d beat me and make fun of me.” he said, and you wrapped your arms around him in a hug.
“why don’t i take it to Tony, i’m sure he could fix it for you?” you asked, and he nodded.
an hour later, the fixed mask was back on his face, and he was sound asleep again.
after that, it was his safety net, and grounding tool. you learned quickly to bring it everywhere in your purse, because after everything he went through, he was prone to PTSD flashbacks. when he had them, he would shake and hyperventilate, sobbing until the mask was on his face. once the mask was on his face, he would be calm, and you would be able to get him out of whatever was causing him trauma.
everyone else was afraid of him when he wore the mask, fearing that it would trigger Winter, although it never did.
there was a terrible incident where Bucky and the other Avengers were in a meeting with Fury about an upcoming mission, and while looking through some of the photos of the secret HYDRA base they were going to be raiding, when Bucky seized up, and started shaking like a leaf, fear present on his face.
he looked around for you, Steve, or Tony, but you three weren't present at that meeting, as you and Steve had been on a mission the day before and were on your mandatory rest period, and Tony had a meeting with contractors for a new addition to the compound. he knew you always had the mask with you for incidents like this, and if you weren't there, Steve would have it, and if neither of you were there, Tony had a replacement made out of nanoparticles so all he would have to do it press a small circle to the back of his neck and it would form.
his breathing became erratic, and Maria was the first to notice.
"Bucky, you okay?" she asked, and everyone grew concerned when he didn't respond, his eyes locked on the pictures on the screen. Thankfully, Fury noticed and swore before shutting the screen off. The second the screen went dark, Bucky broke down into tears. he buried his head in his hands, and wasn't responding to anyone.
"what does he normally do to calm down?" Maria asked, her hands resting on Bucky's shoulders as she evaluated him. Fury became agitated when everyone just looked at each other, shrugging.
"NONE OF YOU KNOW HOW TO HELP HIM?" he shouted as Bucky's shaking became worse, his sobs growing.
Bucky fell forward off the chair, and curled into a ball on the floor, Maria's hands running through his hair in a feeble attempt to clam him.
thankfully, Steve burst through the door with the mask in hand. you were out grocery shopping, but F.R.I.D.A.Y. alerted him to Bucky's distress.
"come on bud, sit up," Steve asked, and Bucky refused to budge. eventually he manoeuvred Bucky so his head was on his bent legs. he pulled his hands away from his face, and instructed Maria to hold them so he could put the mask on. the second Steve got the mask on his face, Bucky immediately calmed, and melted into Steve's touch.
after a few moments, Steve stood Bucky up, and the pair of super soldier walked out of the conference room Bucky's breathing still slightly erratic.
meanwhile, in the conference room, Fury was still yelling.
"THAT MAN IS YOUR TEAMMATE WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! HE HAS ALSO BEEN THROUGH MORE HELL THAN ANY OF YOU WOULD EVER BELIEVE, AND IT SHOULDN'T BE UP TO STEVE OR Y/N TO KNOW HOW TO CALM HIM DOWN!" he screamed before turning to Maria.
"please make a note in Barnes's file that he has the mask for PTSD reasons." and Maria nodded, jotting the information down on a sticky note.
Steve had gotten Bucky into the living area, and was sitting on the couch, Bucky in his arms. before the war, him and Bucky shared the occasional hug, but usually they only cuddled during the winter because Steve could never retain body heat.
after Steve rescued Bucky however, him holding him became a regular thing. Bucky said it reminded him of before the war, and it comforted him at the same time. Bucky told him that Steve still smelled the same, and it made him feel at home.
"you okay, punk?" Steve asked, and Bucky nodded.
"m'okay. thanks for helpin' me." he said, and Steve chuckled.
"i'm with you til the end of the line, you know that."
at that moment, you walked through the door, groceries in hand, and an angry look on your face. you dropped the groceries and walked over to the two boys.
"is he okay now?" you asked, and Steve nodded, unraveling himself from Bucky and standing up.
"yeah, he's good. Fury told you what happened?" he asked as he walked over to the groceries.
"yep. and I'm pissed. I get that the team is a little nervous around him, but they should still know how to help him. I mean, he wears the mask a lot, this shouldn't be an issue." you said, your arms wrapping around the still masked Bucky who was drifting off to sleep.
"I agree."
as you watched him fall asleep, you wished internally that the team would just take the time to get to know him a little better.

Fox Mulder’s Guide to Building a Pool: part 2
Read Part 1
A/N This is in answer to an anon prompt: Mulder builds a pool in the yard. It ran away from me so I’ll post it in two parts.
This is set post IWTB and assumes Season 10 didn’t happen. Because it shouldn’t have, am I right? Angsty to start with.
Winter
November rushed headlong into house and yard with blizzards and ice storms and squealing winds under the doors. The pool project remained as frozen as the ground but his brain was always planning. Winter was the end of things, yet, even as he scraped freezing condensation from the inside of the windows, he felt a kind of resurgence. Like his bare, unadorned spirit had rested enough to begin anew. It helped that he spoke to Scully often, random phone calls, text messages with links to articles she’d found on cryptid sightings or arcane deaths. Her emoji use was spot on. Aliens and foxes and ghosts and a solitary blue heart.
Christmas Eve and she sent him a message about a sighting of a ‘gargantuan, hirsute humanoid’ in a Florida forest and after reading it with a sense of comforting familiarity and relieved distance, he googled the meaning of the blue heart. Trust, harmony, peace and loyalty. Reading into emojis had to rank right up there on the Fox Mulder Chart of Weirdness but the idea of it, that she had carefully researched this colour and chosen it as the one to close off her messages to him, took root in his own heart and he felt a burst of that same restless energy that had plagued him for months.
He walked to the back door, chancing a look out. A smirry rain fell, leaving the bare branches oily in the low light. Further around, the pool, sunk below the hard, cold earth was a gaping dark mouth, the concrete bearing the marks of months of bad weather. In one corner, debris from the yard had collected, twigs and small stones, plastic wrapping floating in the grimy pool of melted snow that covered the base.
The sound of her voice as she picked up the call pulled a smile to his lips. She sounded pleased to hear from him. Excited almost.
“Hey.” It was an extended version of her usual greeting. A stretching of the word into something more. His heart skipped. “I know you don’t celebrate, but Happy Christmas, Mulder.”
It would have been typical for him to make some flippant remark about stockings or mistletoe but instead, he raked up the trash in the pool as he wished her season’s greetings and listened to her stories of wrapping gifts for the kids at work and the terribly formal staff dinner where the turkey was overcooked and the hasselbacks were rubbery and she left early so she could pull on her pyjamas and robe and watch It’s a Wonderful Life and then, after a breathy pause, added, that it wasn’t the same on her own.
“What’s that noise?” she asked.
He could have said it was the sound of his heart breaking free of his ribcage but he shook his head at himself and took a deep breath. “Would you believe me if I said I was cleaning the pool?” She laughed and he burst right through her green light. “Did you want to come over, Scully?”
She would very much love to, she said, and he held the phone to his chest while he scraped out the detritus against the side wall one-handed. The first flake of snow landed and he looked up to the silver heavens and whispered a thank-you.
Guilt crept in when he saw a parcel in her hand. “I didn’t get you anything, Scully.” He took her coat, the bag of groceries and the gift and she said she’d forgive him and he grinned at her as he rattled the box until she tutted and snatched it back from him.
“I’ll put it under the tree,” she said but the living room was empty of seasonal decor and she looked down at the gift and her feet and he wondered if he could pull out all the boxes in the attic to retrieve the decorations but she shook her head and laughed through her nose. “Don’t worry about it.” She could still read him like a book.
The intensity of the storm took them by surprise, heaping snow against the window sills and the door and Scully’s car until everything was silent-white and glistening. He poured brandy over ice and she sank into the couch next to him wrapped in a blanket and wearing a resigned smile.
“It’s fine,” she said. “I’m not due at mom’s until New Year. I was going to be working but that changed, so I have no plans.” She squeezed his knee and there was a glint in her eye that had him almost believing that she’d engineered the weather, just like that Holman guy from years before, but Dana Scully MD was no lovelorn meteorologist. She was the sender of blue heart emojis, the bringer of turkey steaks and farmer’s market vegetables, she was the best present ever, the three wise men and more.
She was also a little tipsy, he thought, eyeing her reddened cheeks and the way she shucked off her boots to tuck her ankles under her ass. He hadn’t seen her so loose for years. He’d spent too long ignoring her that by the time she left she was coiled like wire rope and just as cool to touch.
“If this storm keeps up maybe we can skate on your pool,” she said and giggled, pressing her fingers under her nose.
“You want to rush me to ER with multiple fractures on Christmas morning, Scully?” He swallowed the liquor.
Her face straightened and she cleared her throat. “It will be strange, won’t it, being here tomorrow? Waking up on Christmas morning together. It’s not something we’ve done for…”
“Three years,” he said and let that settle between them before adding, “but I’m looking forward to it.”
“Because it feels like we’ve moved past…all that?”
All that. All that rage and disappointment. All that bitterness and rancour. All that unsaid. Too much said. “Because it feels fated,” he said. And she pulled a face. “Preordained, inexorable.”
“Destined,” she said, leaning forward. “Portentous?”
He chuckled. “That has a negative connotation, like foreshadowed. It’s more ominous than auspicious.”
“I’m going to have to take back that Thesaurus and buy you something else, Mulder.” She nodded to the present on the table.
“I used to be poor,” he said and she quirked her eyebrow. “Then my partner bought me a thesaurus and now I’m impecunious.”
Her snort was half-laugh, half-surprise. “We’re not…”
“I know.”
The next morning dawned clear and Mulder was already awake. Had hardly slept. Like a child at Christmas, he thought wryly, impatient for his gift. Scully wasn’t for unwrapping though. At this stage, he was lucky she was here to decorate his living room. The brightest star. An angel.
She was dressed in his old anorak he’d used years before to clear the yard when they first moved in. It surrounded her like a canoe, pointed hood above her head and falling to almost her ankles. She was dragging something behind her, leaving a thick trail through the snow. Mulder opened the door and she huffed through, revealing her treasure – a small pine tree, dripping melting snow in grey piles on the floor.
He found a box of decorations behind a wall of old books, dusted them off and climbed back down the ladder. She’d made cocoa and found marshmallows from that Mary Poppins bag of hers. She added a dash of brandy with a hair of the dog wink and they made the tree pretty.
Flipping pancakes, he watched her as she sat in the chair near the window, wrapped now in one of his sweaters, pink-stockinged feet crossed. “If you squint through these blinds, Mulder, and use your imagination, of which you received a wild and overly large share, it looks like there’s a snow monster in the pool.”
“Are you still drunk, Scully?” He bent beside her, close enough to see the dark skin on the mole above her lip.
“I am not, look! There. See it? It’s got shifty eyes and a long nose.”
He rubbed at his own features and she jabbed his hand away.
“It’s there. I swear. Come on, I’ll show you.” She shot up and dragged him outside where the cold shrunk his skin around his bones. The sky threatened to unload again and she shivered despite her layers. He slunk an arm around her shoulders and she swayed into him. “There. Look. See?” Her finger pointed but he couldn’t have seen a thing beyond the fact that she was there, right next to him in the dead of winter, gesticulating to a lump of frozen water.
“At least when Frosty the Snowmonster dies, the pool will be quarter full,” he said, holding open the door for her. She dipped under his arm and it felt like old times.
Spring
Blossom hugged the ends of branches, pom-poms of pink dipping on the breeze. The sun was watery-warm and birdsong amplified the hope of the season. He’d tiled the pool himself, enjoying he exact nature of the work. The water delivery contractor was late but the from his vantage point on the front deck, Mulder couldn’t care less. Just for an hour or so, he could afford to do nothing. He told himself he deserved it. He let his eyes slip shut.
“Can’t a girl get a fanfare any more?” Scully was standing at the foot of the steps, casual in blue jeans and a fitted mint-green tee, her hair was pulled back in a scruffy ponytail that usually signified she was about to get messy.
He made trumpet noises and she bowed when she reached the deck. From her tote she took out a bag of pastries. He liked this version of Scully. He liked her very much. This soft, coquettish variety gave him hope like the spring and made him feel lighter.
“I’ll make coffee,” he said and ushered her through with a theatrical wave.
The truck arrived two hours late but that was two hours passed with Scully who spent her time asking questions about the pump and the pool fence requirements and whether he was going to plant a garden and how much she loved the mosaic tile design on the bottom and whether he’d considered a shade sail. She wrinkled her nose and her freckles danced. He had a vision of her sunburnt and cranky.
“I’ll order one before the heat hits,” he said, solemnly.
“Don’t do it just for me,” she said, over the din of the hose being unravelled from the truck.
As though he would do anything for anyone else. He’d spent much of the time since the Father Joe case doing things only for himself. He couldn’t see it then, but his focus had narrowed beyond the scope of voiceless victims, beyond the purview of his domestic responsibilities and from his refreshed perspective, he could see now how Scully had been cut out of his orbit.
“Did you imagine this when we first moved in here?”
“You designing and constructing a pool, sundeck and safety fence? Mulder, when we first moved here you couldn’t have built a house of cards. Remember when the screen door fell off the hinges and you tried to fix it but ended up breaking the drill. You were so angry, a wounded animal fighting off any help. I thought…” she covered her eyes with her hand to watch the water running over the bottom of the pool, steadily rising, filling the void. “I should have left sooner. Maybe you would have rediscovered this…this spirit of yours earlier.”
“You think your leaving prompted me to do all this?”
“Didn’t it?”
“It took more than three years of you not…”
She sucked in a breath and it dawned on him that she was still hurting too. Would it ever stop? Or was the pain destined to be a constant companion to remind them of their failings? Was building a pool really just a diversion from the agony of Scully being gone? Was her position at the hospital just her version of a building project? She was building herself a better life and he was building a pool.
“I’m sorry,” she said, reaching for his hand and squeezing gently. “For not trying harder.”
The drone of the truck’s motor stuttered to a halt and he looked down at her. She was gazing at the water as it slapped at the sides, settling. “You have nothing to apologise for, Scully. I closed off, shut down, kept you out and then got mad at you when you made a new life.”
“We were both pretty closed off, Mulder. Talking for hours but never saying enough. Remember how we used to spend days on the road and never have to say a thing. We could go for miles in silence. It didn’t bother us then, so when did that change?”
“I think the truth of it is that we were both just talking at each other, trying to get our voices heard, but we didn’t care to listen for fear of actually hearing.”
She raised those brows of hers and smiled. “That’s very deep and heartfelt.”
The truck reversed and he looked down at the water and the moving outline of the blue love heart he’d tiled at the bottom of the pool. “Just like my pool.”
The first time she came over for a swim, she presented him with a new beach towel. It had a fox face on it and she was so proud of herself. She let him splash her and she bombed him and he didn’t want her to leave but he watched her drive away and sat on the verandah for hours after the sun went down.
She phoned to say she was coming over again and that gave him an idea. After all, he owed her two gifts now. So he went online and shopped.
Taking the parcel, she dipped her head in gratitude. “This better not be a beach towel with Big Blue on it, Mulder, or I swear to God…” She ripped the package open scattering paper everywhere. She held it up. It was a one-piece swimsuit the colour of those Caribbean island beaches, azure, the colour of her eyes. She pulled a face, whispering a wow and telling him he shouldn’t have because people might talk.
“Let them talk,” he called out, as she slipped into the house to change. “What else could they say about us that we haven’t heard already, Mrs Spooky.”
When she returned, she was wearing the bathing suit and a knee-length cream sarong. She pulled a wide-brimmed hat out of her bag and went to put it on but he stopped her.
“Just one more thing,” he said, finding the smaller parcel. “This is a very late birthday or really early Christmas present. Take your pick.”
“Another gift? You already got me this suit and I’m wondering if I should really spend the afternoon with a man who buys lingerie for a single woman…”
“It’s lingerie?” His voice was high-pitched because he was genuinely curious and a little sorry about her use of the word single which seemed unnecessary but she grinned wickedly and he breathed out in relief. “Damn. If I’d have known that I would have bought that red lace number…”
“Don’t push your luck, Mulder.”
The small gift was wrapped in silver frosted paper decorated with a gold bow. She opened this one with much more care and when she lifted the lid and saw the silver chain with the blue topaz heart pendant, her eyes filled with tears. “It’s beautiful, Mulder. You shouldn’t have. It’s too much.”
“Trust, harmony, peace and loyalty. Blue hearts. That’s what they mean.”
“Uh-huh.” She turned and he clipped the necklace under the hair. “You’re reading a lot into an emoji.” Was he? Maybe. Did he care? Not much. She turned to face him, stood on tiptoe and kissed him, softly, gently, with love. “But you’ve always looked beyond the obvious. And that’s why I love you.”
Love. Not loved. He took her hand and walked her to the edge. “Ready?”
She didn’t answer but tugged at his wrist and pulled him forward so they both plunged into the deep blue, going down and down.

Story #1 Beel and Belphie bday go almost wrong pt 1
Great, just what I needed more problems, Christine thought as her pale left hand balled into a fist and hit the stove. Of all days for it to stop working, it just had to die on Beel and Belphie birthday. She bought so much ingredients for the feast and four tier birthday cake, and now that'll go to waste. Standing in her knee high black dress, with the kitchen apron around her, Christine sighed and grabbed her DDD. She could cook it on the fire grill, and cauldron, but, Lucifer had a stove in there that was rather old. Plus, it was to dangerous to use the fire pit since she had a hard time reaching. Hesitant, she texted Lucifer.
"'Hey, I have bad news. The stove decided to die, and I have no way to cook Beel and Belphie birthday feast, and there birthday cake.'" Her fingers typed on the smartphone.
She hit send, than placed her phone in the apron pocket. It was almost six in the morning, meaning she had to make breakfast. Letting out a groan, her feet walked to the cabinet and grabbed a tray, three loafs of bread, a jar of peanut butter, and a few butter knifes from the silverware tray. She carried them to the island, placing it on the surface and went to the fridge to get jams, lunch meat, cheese, condiments for the sandwiches, and other ingredients for the brothers and MC might like to eat. After placing it on the island, a cough made her jump seeing Lucifer in his pajamas. They were black silk, with red buttons on the shirt. He looked like hell, and exhausted as his hand rubs his eyes.
"So, the stove gave out? Great, I must speak to Lord Diavolo about this. Hopefully, we can move the celebration to his estate so you can prepare the birthday meal. And have some help with Barbatos." He yawned, his reddish black eyes glint with stress.
Christine bowed, "I do apologize to wake you up, master Lucifer."
His footsteps echoed in the kitchen, as his ungloved hand lifted her chin up. She felt her cheeks heat up, "You are okay, Christine. I should be the one apologizing that the kitchen isn't exactly up to your standards. I'll have some contractors come in, maybe its time to renovate the kitchen." He spoke.
Christine nodded, as he bowed slightly before leaving. Her hand went to fan herself, thinking she might pass out. Shaking any lewd thoughts out, Christine went to making breakfast meals. For breakfast she prepared peanut butter sandwiches with jams like grape, peach, apple butter, strawberries, and etc. Others got fresh fruit, and a slight powder sugar dusting. She was able to whip up fresh whipped cream, chocolate gauche thanks to the microwave, and heat up some caramel sauce for the open faced ones. Other breakfast feast was panini pressed buttery toasted brichoe bread with whipped ricotta from last night, and three different jams on top. Finally, she placed them on different trays on there own plates with there own tags as well. Carefully, she placed them on the cart and pushed it too the dining room. Her eyes in the corner saw a black, small figure passing her. She stopped, turning her head screaming than seeing in the light its one of the Little D's that MC fights at RAD. What's it doing here?
"Good morning, sorry to startled you, would you like some help?" It spoke, it had the red color hat on and wasn't sure if it's one of the Little D's that represented Gluttony.
She shook, "Uh, uh sure. Just, don't eat the food."
It nodded, as she watched it head towards the kitchen and appearing with one of the trays in its hand. "Ooh, this looks good. Normally they have bacon and stuff, but sandwiches are nice too."
"Well the stove broke, and I can't use the open flame grill." Christine pushed the cart as the Little D followed her.
"Oh no, that's awful. Hopefully, Mister Lucifer takes care of it. Also, we D's will be here today to decorate the house." It smiled, taking in the aroma as they arrived at the dining room to place the food on the table.
"Well, we might have the celebration at Lord Diavolo castle." She softly replied, arranging the placement of the food.
It looked at her, shrugging its shoulders as we finished plating the table. As we moved to the kitchen, he and five more of his brothern helped me pack the brothers and Mc lunch for the day. Being either shaved turkey with Swiss cheese, ham and cheddar, roast beef and pepper jack, and bologna with American cheese on white bread with mustards, mayo, and pickles on some of them while others were plain. I grab the individual bags of chips, throwing them into there designated lunchboxes with there wrapped sandwich as one of the Little D's puts in fruit cups, rice Krispy treats, and some soda cans. I had one of them put the ice block freezers into them and placed in the cardboard box so they'll pick it up on there way out. After this they cleaned up, letting me go eat breakfast as they handle the drinks since I am overworked. Walking too the dining hall, I hear MC humming as she goes to sit down.
"Good morning Christine." She spoked, putting two sandwiches on her plate.
Christine bowed and cursety, "Good morning, Mistress MC."
"You know you can call me Mc, even though Diavolo did say to be courtesy like maid." She spoke, wondering if Barbatos has rubbed off on her.
Christine nodded, "I know, but I have too greet all guest like this. May, I join you?"
MC nodded her head, as Christine sat by her. They enjoyed peace and quiet till, Mammon of all people stumbled in along with the others. Today, is going to be tiring.

The New York Times Finally Finds Some Gun Owners it Approves Of...Muslims!
The New York Times piece is highlighted by an AK47-toting member of terror-linked CAIR and stealthily presents other members of notorious Islamic groups in the U.S. as random gun owners.
The NYT piece starts with the standard Muslim victimhood propaganda and goes on to purport that Muslims in America own guns to protect themselves from...Islamophobes.
What message is CAIR, via the New York Times, trying to tell Americans?
When Sheima Muhammad takes her Glock pistol to her local gun range in central Ohio, she gets funny looks. As a 25-year-old woman, she stands out from the other customers, who are mostly older men. Then there is the matter of her head scarf.
“I don’t get looked at like a normal person who’s just trying to protect themselves,” said Ms. Muhammad, who emigrated from Turkey as a baby with her family, who are Kurds, and is a naturalized American citizen.
American Muslims like Ms. Muhammad say they own guns for the same reasons as anyone else: for protection, for hunting and sport shooting, for gun and rifle collections or for their work.
They also cite another factor: fear of persecution, at a time when hate crimes against Muslims have soared to their highest levels since the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Crimes by Muslims, terror arrests of Muslims, and hate crimes faked by Muslims are all rising faster than the supposed hate crimes against Muslims.
Here are some of the gun owners the NYT featured.
Nezar Hamze - terror-linked CAIR
Hassan Shibly - terror-linked CAIR
Raja’ee Fatihah - terror-linked CAIR
Adam Abutaa - Emgage - spinoff of terror-linked CAIR
Inshirah Abdel-Jaleel - Islamic Studies teacher at the American Youth Academy (AYA), a children's school founded by convicted terrorist Sami al-Arian
Chaikirah Parker - NYT says she works for a military contractor but her name appears on the website of the notorious Muslim Public Affairs Council along notorious sharia advocates in the U.S., and news articles claim she is an entrepreneur
Ahmad Aboukar - treasurer of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Ohio State University (OSU) and member of the Muslim Brotherhood-founded Muslim Students Association (MSA)
We stopped there.
