“Well, my dad just left because he insists on letting us have our own fun, whatever that means, really,“ Alice said as she walked back to her room where the other two boys were building the fort with a bunch of pillows and blankets. She stepped out to get the hot tea and chocolates and now there were three different colored mugs levitating in front of her, one for each of them, each holding the beverage they wanted.

“Oh, you guys are already so ahead, it’s looking great!” Alice smiled as she placed the mugs on her table and examined what the two boys did in the past couple of minutes. The fort was almost completely done already. “Can I help with something? More pillows or blankets, maybe?”

There were two rules Alice set for herself for the night. To forget about the fight and the torture and the stairs and train and Julia and everything else that’s been constantly just piling up in her head and had her mind working and thinking about them; and to have as much fun as she could. The Cattermole house was full of people, the crowd was amazing. Alice already drank a cup of beer and she had her second one in her hand when she noticed Kings in the crowd and she quickly caught up to her friend. “Kings! Having fun yet?”

If we were dating, we must be back in Fifth Year. But it was good, it was worth it.

Alice smiled softly and standing up on her toes she gave Kings a kiss on his cheek. “Of course it was worth it.“

Kingsley

Since the first year whenever it was a Ravenclaw-Hufflepuff game, they went together dressed in the other’s house’s colors, cheering for both teams.

During the summer they do play dates for Kingsley’s dog and Alice’s cat. The two animals didn’t get along in the beginning but became surprisingly ok with each other and while they are playing, Kingsley and Alice spend hours talking about everything and anything.

One time Alice charmed one of Kingsley’s socks into speaking socks without telling him about it. Kingsley spent half a day trying to figure out where all the babbling came from before she realized it all came from his feet.

After their break up, even though they agreed they are better off as friends, they both avoided each other because it was incredibly awkward between the two of them. After about a week Alice had enough and sat down next to him to have dinner with “I’m done with this, can we be friends again?” and started eating, talking about a stupid assignment McGonagall gave to the Hufflepuffs in Transfigurations and things were back to normal.

Alice has a picture of the two of them from their first day at Hogwarts where she's hugging him and he's making a face at her. This is the photo about the two of them that she cherishes the most and I is framed and among the family pictures in Frank and Alice's  house.
