1. Harry Potter à l'école des sorciers by JK Rowling (it had to be here solely because it's the book that got me into reading/writing and all that stuff)

2. Silverwing by Kenneth Opel ( a series i read twice as a child, in French though)

3. La formation de l'acteur by Constantin Stanislavski 

4. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

5. The Giver by Lois Lowry ( one of the first english books i read and finished) 

6. Les chevaliers d'Émeraude by Anne Robillard

7. Things I Overheard While Talking To Myself by Alan Alda

8. Les Mouches by Jean-Paul Sartre

9. Le Comte de Monte-Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

10. Peggy Sue: Le papillon des abîmes by Serge Brussolo 

not gonna lie, 8 out of 10 of these i read in french although you can probably find them in english as well. here ya go, most of these are very corny books but they were important to me in different periods of my life :)
