Tears of the Kingdom

Questions of Kingship: Two PWP one-shots followed by a multichapter plotted work. Elements of dubcon and noncon throughout. Recommended if you like made-up politics, think TOTK maybe should have thought a little harder about the implications of its made-up politics, or just want to see two horrible men who hate each other fuck about it.

Following Ganondorf's oath of fealty to Hyrule, Rauru "invites" the Gerudo chief to stay at Hyrule Castle while Gerudo's subsumption into Hyrule is negotiated. It's a strategic action; Rauru does need to keep an eye on him. But his frustration with Ganondorf's false humility hides a desire that even he is not comfortable with, and Ganondorf has his own plans for the self-styled king of Hyrule.

Hades

Hello it is I a megzag main. reach out and grasp will be your best starting point. It focuses on Megaera's friendship with Thanatos and how it is affected by her (and Thanatos's) relationship with Zagreus. This series is available as a pay-what-you-want e-book at itch.io. Transistor

Not so much of the power dynamics in this fandom but I love Red/Boxer so much. I am not immune to a sword with a gentle voice. Here's the two of the on the verge of becoming a couple; here's what was as far as I can tell the first Red/Boxer smut on the entire internet even though I showed up three years late. Here is a post-game fic in which they finally must discuss the final act of the game.

Maskmaker trio my beloved. I've written over 100k across two separate "Monica is alive" AUs and my sole comfort is that I could never be as obsessed with this thought as Huey is.

Mad Religion is a one of my masterworks: set in the 2001 of an AU where Monica never died, Huey and Monica stumble upon a branch of SAMPLE only to discover that Elmer has already stumbled upon the cult on his own and is trying to make their sacrifice smile. Because that's what he's for--isn't it? If you like writing dealing with unnamed religious trauma, this one is for you.

Other than that--wow I cannot even begin to summarize my work in this fandom. Here's Ronny and Maiza getting to know each other in 1711. Here's Huey being the worst father imaginable to Liza. Here's a lil tone poem of Huey thinking on Monica and Elmer in the 1930s. Conversely here is Fermet leaning real hard on Huey's boundaries. There's more out there, my friends, but it's so scattered. Soul Eater

Hello it is I a Medusa/Stein main. And also a "Stein's relationship with Lord Death/authority" main (I was working through some things at the time).

42. "You live to annoy me, don't you?"

The late afternoon casts hazy golden shadows through the palm trees, the cerulean waves crash ashore in thundering blasts of salt spray and white foam, and as he leans back luxuriously and digs his bare feet into the sand, Fedyor Kaminsky is happy to decide that this is, in fact, pretty much paradise. To say the goddamn least, it is a far, far cry from the pack ice, howling storms, and all the other misery of the Arctic wilderness that he went through to get here, and at his side, even Ivan looks entirely at peace, his hide browned a proper seafarer's bronze and a pair of aviator sunglasses pushed up on his nose. The Mayak rides at anchor nearby, in a sheltered cove just inside the barrier reef, and if someone motors up and demands to see their papers, they'll deal with that when it happens. But this is a secluded beach somewhere on Mexico's rugged Pacific coast, they haven't seen so much as a jet-ski in days, and the odds are low.

They've been making a leisurely peregrination since leaving Los Angeles, safe in the protection of the fake American passports and documents that Nina procured for them, and it's been a pleasant sail along Baja and into the Gulf of California to reach this point. The benefit to having your own houseboat is that you can go as far as you want and sleep wherever you please, as long as the fuel is topped up and the bilge is pumped out, and Fedyor is quite enjoying the nautical, nomadic life, as long as it doesn't come paired with sphincter-clenching terror and extremely high odds of freezing to death. He has had enough of that and then some, thanks very much.

They periodically come ashore for provisions at little Mexican seaside stalls selling vine-fresh produce and practically-still-twitching cuts of meat, where Ivan barters in his rudimentary-but-functional Spanish and they usually end up with some beer or chocolate thrown in for free since the elderly proprietress thinks they're such nice boys. (When it comes to Ivan, the jury is still decidedly out, but at least he is usually on his best manners.) And now they get to enjoy it: just them, the sun slowly going down in a riotous blazon of red and gold out west, dyeing the sea a brilliant metallic sheen like the road to El Dorado. They are presently sipping green-glass bottles of Mexican Coca-Cola, which they have been told is far superior to the American version, and somewhere off in the distance, they can hear a scratchy transistor radio playing salsa music. But here, still, their kingdom is private and sacrosanct. Perfect.

"See," Fedyor says at last, snuggling up close and putting his head on Ivan's shoulder. "This was absolutely worth abandoning your miserable freezing Soviet hovel."

Clearly the answer to this is yes, but Ivan is Ivan, and therefore cannot agree too quickly or unqualifiedly. Instead, he gives Fedyor a surly look and takes another sip of Coke. "It is... an improvement, yes."

"Master of understatement, that's you." Fedyor toes the plastic bag closer and pulls out the freshly made, cornhusk-wrapped tamales that they acquired earlier. He takes one out and helps himself to a big bite, and Ivan, after his usual suspicious sniff that precedes any taste of foreign food, follows suit. This is likewise miles better than tinned beans, ancient caviar, and bread that could be used as a hockey puck, and Fedyor chews in deep contentment. Then he swallows, gets up, and offers Ivan a hand. "Come on, let's take a stroll."

Ivan eyes him as if a walk along the beach at sunset is possibly too romantic and therefore must be a trap, but finally shrugs and gives in. So they get up and amble along the shoreline, fingers loosely linked and runnels of emerald-green saltwater periodically soaking the ragged fringe of their shorts. The day was hot enough that plenty of warmth still lingers in the water, and Fedyor grabs Ivan by the arm and pushes him straight into the next wave. Taken completely off guard, Ivan splutters, swears, disappears altogether in the break, and emerges soaking wet and looking like wrathful Poseidon. "You -- Fedyor Mikhailovich, you little -- I am going to fucking kill -- "

Fedyor giggles like a mischievous child and sprints away, as Ivan gives hot pursuit, catches him up, and pushes him into the water in turn. Of course this ends up with wrestling, and this ends up with pushing, and this ends up on their backs in the wet, shell-flecked sand, rolling over and over, uttering curses that would shock any local who happened to understand Russian, and finally comes to a halt when Fedyor pins Ivan down and kisses him thoroughly. Ivan kicks, flails, mumbles, grumbles, and otherwise registers his protests at being forced to endure this terrible indignity, but does not actually do anything remotely related to pushing Fedyor off. Instead, he kisses Fedyor back just as vigorously, and when they finally break apart due to getting an unexpected faceful of another wave, he sighs in deep resignation. "You live to annoy me, don't you, Fedya?"

"Something like that." Fedyor wriggles down hard, slow, and deliberately, causing Ivan to groan again for a different reason; their dripping-wet clothes leave little to the imagination. "But you love it."

Ivan sighs again in abject martyrdom, but the smile is still lingering on his lips, his eyes, his face, his entire soul, and it shines brighter than the golden inferno of the sky. "Yes," he says, half to himself. "Yes, I do. I do."

Transistor Spoilers below:

Transistor is a video game where you play as a character named Red who has this sword-like weapon called the Transistor. She’s a singer whose voice was stolen by a group called The Camerata, who had tried to have her killed but ended up killing her lover instead when he dived in the way. Because of how the Transistor works, her lover can see/hear everything and narrates the story for the player by talking to Red throughout the game. The game follows Red trying to avenge her lover and take down The Camerata for good, having to fight a legion of their robots called The Process.

Ronance Transistor AU

In my AU, Nancy is a well-known journalist who's liked by the general public (like Red with her singing). She's about to go public with an article about Brenner's organisation and work when Brenner has her attacked.

Robin and Steve had both been working under Brenner, but Robin quit for Nancy's safety while Steve stayed behind to try and help them get information. When she realised Brenner was sending the Transistor towards Nancy to absorb her, she got in the way of it in the process, so Nancy only lost her voice while Robin got stabbed.

Nancy blacked out at the beginning of the process, so she came to to find Robin slumped on the ground, the Transistor embedded in her. Robin speaks to her, though, and Nancy realises Robin's been absorbed into the Transistor, in a unique way caused by being killed by it.

Nancy then goes on to try and take down Brenner's organisation for good, both to stop them and to avenge Robin. Robin guides her the entire time. They find the bodies of Jonathan, Eddie and Argyle and are able to absorb them into the Transistor, but Robin remains the only one able to speak.

(There's also an aspect where Steve didn't know about the planned attack on Nancy, so he was helpless to stop it, which also meant that Robin thought Steve had betrayed her. Nancy ends up fighting a corrupted Steve, who tries to fight off the corruption the whole time. He hears Robin's voice and that's what gets through to him enough to throw himself onto the blade, apologising profusely to her as he does because he never wanted either of them to be hurt.

There's also a theory that the Transistor itself serves as an "afterlife" of sorts, so Steve and Robin are able to reunite afterwards.)

More Spoilers, both for the game and this AU:

Nancy's able to defeat all of Brenner's organisation (Corrupted Steve, Owens, Creel, Brenner) and is left with the Transistor, able to live her life. She doesn't want the world she's left with, though. One without her best friends, one without Robin.

She gets the Transistor to impale her, even as Robin begs her not to.

When she next wakes up, she's standing before Robin in a grassy field, Steve, Eddie, Argyle and Jonathan visible in the distance, and Nancy finds that she's finally happy again.
