This is dedicated to @chelseyjoyce her account is amazing and i love it so much it’s a great place to find the best Hotch fics in the fandom! She’s so sweet and incredibly kind and you all should go follow her, because she’s amazing :) And this is also part of my 100 follower blurb celebration!

“I love you most ardently,” Hotch says, trying to get the words out quickly as his face begins to heat up

“Hotch if you're trying to convince someone that you're in love with them you need to say it with a bit more conviction because you sound like a dying cat”

“Emily you're supposed to be helping me not telling jokes, how am I going to tell Y/n that I'm in love with her.”

His eyes are misty, and his body language is closed off Emily can see his chest is puffy and his face is overcome with anxiety; he’s nervous so incredibly nervous but she’s glad that he is she’s been with Tara for over three years and now she’s sees y/n like her little sister, she loves her so much and she’s seen her get her heart broken by people who didn't deserve her heart. She needs someone like Hotch who will really and truly love her with all his heart, she deserves someone like him.

“You're scared”

“I am”

“Good you should be scared, she’s amazing and wonderful and deserves so much more than the people she’s been with, so be real and honest to her or otherwise she’ll see right through your bullshit”

“God this is too much I-I- don’t know what the say how should I tell her”

“Wait Hotch-”

“No-no I’m done waiting I love her so much it’s unbelievable, I haven’t felt like this since Haley and even then, it wasn’t like this. I just the take her in my arms and hug her and kiss her and make her feel so worthy and loved-”

“Aaron I’m serious shut-”

“NO Emily, I love her ardently, I care about her so much it hurts and what would she want from me anyway I’m a 45-year-old widower with a kid”

“Wow I love her ardently its hurts, Jesus Aaron Emily’s right you do sound like a dying cat”

Aarons face dropped and his eyebrows grew wide” I did that thing that Penelope does when she talks about someone whilst they're right behind me didn't I.”

Emily’s smirk grew wider “Yep”

“y/n I’m-”

“Ughh finally Hotch took you long enough, I could do a whole stipel about how much I love you too but it’s 2 am in the middle of nowhere fuck Kansas and in six hours were supposed to wake up and find a serial arsonist can we just go back to my room you help me put on my headscarf and then go to sleep?”

“You want to kiss and cuddle with me?”

“Yes that's why am telling you come on notch we've moved past the I live you be we can sort that out tomorrow I just wanna sleep”

“R-right ok then I didn't think that was gonna be that easy”

“I’m an easy-going girl”

“But I mean 34 years on this earth and you still find it hard to wrap your headscarf around your head I mean...thats a bit embarrassing”

“Says the man who went to Emily dating advice you can't even tell when she's joking or not, what if she had told you something stupid you would just follow her blindly?”

“Honestly y/n yeah I trust and listen to her too much for someone who pranks everyone on a daily basis

He held her tightly as they began walking to her room right before they went in for the night y/n stopped at the door.

“Wait one second” she popped her head right out of the room and shouted across “Night Emily”

“How on earth did you know she was still going to be listening.”

“I’m a sucker for love Aaron Tara’s made my black heart all mushy and happy, oh and night Y/n.”

🌝- okay love story obsessed with it I love it so much I love seeing Hotch as a father figure in some fics it makes me smile 😊 and I loved reader and Spencer together. The way you write don’t know how to explain but it’s so simple but in the best way possible like your writing is so effective in showing how the reader or Spencer feels.
