4. extremely… i just talked abt this in the tags of another post a bit sry for being repetitive but she’s pathologically unable to be normal about someone lol. if she’s a hater the hate runs through to her core, but if she loves someone she’ll lavish them in affection and attention to whatever degree they can tolerate (and sometimes even more). she’s a big hugger, a big cuddler, a big forehead smoocher. HOWEVER. the mushy stuff is mostly in private. in some cases that’s bc it has to be lol ~*forbidden love*~ but in other cases her affection for her family, friends, and lovers just manifests in a different way — ironclad loyalty, backing her loved ones up unconditionally. which is important for morale once they have to go to war lol

13. she loves to laugh! her sense of humor is somewhat dry in a lannister-typical way, and a little bawdy. having so many kids also gives her an appreciation for the deeply silly things they can do and say when they’re young and still figuring out the world lol.

29. not well!!! loss utterly devastates her, she gets physical pains from the emptiness left behind and sort of oscillates between being overcome with emotion and numb. and sometimes really pissed off at this turn of fate. it makes her short-sighted. stress she tries to tamp down by overcompensating w/ an aggressive version of optimism, like (grits teeth) i am gonna be fucking happy if it’s the last thing i do. it doesn’t always work so well and often stresses her out even more when the happiness doesn’t come so easily. and anger makes her violent 💀 rarely does she act on it but she has a sick mind about her enemies. some of them deserve it! some of them don’t. when she does act on it, it tends to be in a less spectacular way than she fantasizes about.

33. she treasures a lot of childhood memories from before joanna died — they all have this warm golden haze over them. definitely a bit of rose-colored nostalgia glasses going on there, but it was a more peaceful time than she comes to be used to in life, and it was before she developed all her complexes (she only developed some of them lol). an easy to idealize time, yk.

Ok so I don’t particularly ship these bc there’s still a lot of unknowns when it comes to fyodors character, but here is my rant as to why fyolai is a much more likely/logical ship imo than fyoSig. (manga spoilers ahead btw)

Why FyoSig Doesn’t Work

Fyodor literally created Sigma from the book, or sigma is the manifestation of the book, but that’s a different rant/theory, either way Sigmas entire existence has been for the express purpose of being used. He’s spent the entirety of his short life being used, first for a band of low level criminals, then by fyodor himself, and now (probably) Dazai. Because of this, sigmas only goal is to learn about himself and find a place he belongs where he won’t be manipulated or used for his ability. Fyodor (possibly) created him to be a tool, then proceeded to use him as said tool, meaning two things. 1) He only views sigma as a tool to utilize rather than as a person 2) Sigma wouldn’t like him romantically or platonically. He only stays with doa bc he it’s all he’s known, and without the sky casino, he has nowhere else to go. Basically, this ship wouldn’t work bc neither party would be interested in the relationship

Why Fyolai Could Potentially Work

Although Nikolai often fantasizes abt killing fyodor, he truly believes that fyodor is the only one who can understand his motives. He’s explained his motive to others, most notably atsushi, but only fyodor (and maybe Dazai?) understand his thinking.

Nikolai and Fyodor have a similar sense of humor. They both choose to imitate tv/game show hosts as a way to make jokes.

They also both find jokes with wordplay entertaining, also notice how the usually arrogant “above everyone else” fyodor indulges nikolai and even attempts one up his jokes, unlike how he’d normally look down on someone that loud/eccentric/annoying

Final argument, this one isn’t a significant, but fyodor does not seem at all bothered by Nikolai giving him an affectionate nickname.

Although, again, there are still a lot of unknowns surrounding fyodor, so while the cool, calculating fyodor could just be a facade, so could the friendly, sociable fyodor. He’s a master of manipulation and could just be entertaining nikolai because he needs him to think/act a certain way later in his plans.

Again, don’t take this too seriously bc I don’t rly ship any of them and either way, I can’t rly stop u from shipping who u want to/think should be shipped. This was all made in good fun while very tired, hope u enjoyed :)
