There's just generally something so deeply messed up about the Maclean family even in the beginning. Like when Lucy introduces herself, she often puts herself down, e.g. saying that she can't do science as well as her dad or that she's not a good shot (while we simultaneously see her acing a shot) and their father generally seems to hover around her at all times. She mentions that she wasn't able to find anyone to marry ...despite being clearly a good marriage candidate and she can't be that closely related to everyone considering they popped her pops from the freezer. You also got Norm who we know is a bit of an outsider in the vault community - but he also seems to he in the family (the first thing we learn is that he isn't active in the family book club and we don't see Hank hover over him to a nearly similar degree)

It just feels a lot like Lucy was Hank's golden special girl (while he simultaneously kept her feeling small) while Norm was inconvenient. Moldaver points out that Lucy also left the vault because she was curious and we know Norm is very curious - just like their mother was, when she went looking for who was siphoning the vaults water. And I just think that Hank was terrified of his kids becoming too curious for their own good.

hi silly!! to clarify before i say anything, i am NOT trying to be rude at all, just curious in a sense and i suck at explaing stuff so im so srru :sob:

but i saw kyur post with the rude anon about the hoyoverse stuff and i was just wanting to state that typically when people do post media of something (frequently mainly) its not un-usual for someone to see them as a fan of the media, now me personally ive never played and hoyoverse games nor will i ever do so since they've appropriated my culture multiple times, but i can kinda see why the anon stated it like that.
