It had become a thing between the couple to prank one another after a night post a game, when Luke decided to bring home squid thrown on the ice by a fan.

Alan let the warmth of the shower seep into his bones. He was sure his squid brother was secretly cold-blooded. Stepping into a shower after Gordon, was akin to performing the ice bucket challenge - the water barely more tepid than the sea itself. Alan, was the polar opposite - disassociating in the molten mist until he'd generated his very own steam room.

The teen grabbed a towel and headed for the lockers.

"Gordon, what the hell?"

He slammed the locker door shut.

Asshole had taken his spare clothes.

He searched through the other lockers. John's was empty, Virgil's; locked. He opened Scott's and pulled out a finely pressed shirt and jeans.

It sounded like a volcanic eruption...

His room roared like fracturing rock.

Steel screamed and splintered above him.

"Agh!" The sound was deafening, but he didn't dare let go.

Alan's thoughts were racing faster than Fireflash.

For the first time ever Frostyfest was hosted in Splatsville!

Mincemeat Metalworks went through a redesign.

During Off The Hook’s final performance for their World Tour, Marina has a wardrobe malfunction on stage. Pearl immediately screams at the top of her lungs and causes the lights to break.

February:

Inkopolis Square had a mental health crisis where a bunch of people went into a mindless blank. This cleared up a couple weeks later.

Baggy Clothes bursts into popularity.

March:

Suffer No Fools by Off The Hook v Fire and Ice dropped

Toni Kensa got drunk at a party and posted on Squitter that ‘The Enperry Brand is a pathetic excuse of a brand.’ This trended for WEEKS. Pearl made a statement stating that ‘Toni is some snobby loser who gets no bitches.’

April:

Undertow Spillway went through a redesign.

Fans of C-Side and Squid Squad feud online over the song Splattack! This led to several c-side fans doxxing a group of squid squad fans.

Paul from Sashimori begins an ARG like event to advertise the band’s new EP that released later that year.

May:

A Makomart manager at the Inkopolis location was found guilty of embezzlement.

Owner of Ammo Knights, Sheldon, speaks out against Squitism Speaks, claiming it is ‘dangerous to the Squitism community.’

June:

New history unveiled about the great turf war reveals that Craig Cuttlefish and DJ Octavio were “very close friends” and even shared quarters with eachother on several occasions. Neither parties have chosen to comment on this findings.

Shellendorf becomes the most listened to musical since the Lionfish King.

July:

Scientists have discovered a treatment for “Fuzzification” so people infected can have better qualities of life. These treatments allow for those affected to be able to change their ink colors, allowing them to participate in Ink Sports and other activities.

August:

Baker from C-Side said a slur on national television.

Omega 3’s DJ, The Faithful Servant of the True Salmon Emperor Hizunamasu, learns how to play Tromebone, Clarinent, AND Flute just to get samples for the new song, Double Clickbait. Salmon Runners who worked at Salmon Jammin’ Junction said it “wasn’t very good” and “needed tuning.”

Local punk Spyke gets arrested for tax evasion. Is released by technicality.

September:

Salmonid Tribes attack the still under construction Grand Splatlands Bowl, causing Grizzco to put all hands on deck to collect over a billion eggs in order to drive out the Salmonids.

During this, a Salmonid rights activist is caught and arrested for attempting to set fire to Grizzco’s Splatsville branch. Grizzco officials said that the damage was minimal, but shocking nevertheless.

The Salmonid rights activist escaped prison. Grizzco has chosen to drop charges.

Grand Festival featuring the Squid Sisters, Off The Hook, and Deep Cut went off with a bang. The fest’s theme being Which is most important to you: Past, Present or Future. Team Past won.

October:

A young inkling splats another inkling as a “Splatoween prank”, cries when facing the consequences of her actions.

November:

Nothing ever happens in November.

December:

Salmonid Tribes attacked Wahoo World, and sends Grizzco under fire for their lack of management as a Goldie has been reported to be stabbing employees and civilians with multiple knives.

A large fight happened on Fiddler Tower ending with idol group Colorgraphic dropping a new remix of Calamari Inkantation. And later dropping a new single titled Re:UNIon. (Please listen to it, it made me cry several times)

■ Now spending time as new permanent roommates would feel like a weird fever dream and you trying to get your bearings that half squid half human people were now the dominant species in your world

■ if you somehow have your phone intact and still powered on and still somehow have downloaded videos Neo will watch the HELL out of them Family guy ,Tmnt , Shaun the sheep he'll watch it all right

■ Please PLEASE NEVER introduce any squid or octopus related foods to this octoling will think that you'll eat him in his sleep someday and have some nightmares weekly if you even mention a certain ingredient in takoyaki balls

If you take away all the flaws then this man is the best jojo. You like dumb himbos who will wear a crop top even in the coldest of weather. You tend to quote "your next line is" until you get punched in the face (by friends or bystanders is up for debate). You may also have a thing for caesar salad. Unfortunately this man is also a raging racist and a Nazi sympathizer so he loses some points.

First Date:

You meet at the Speedwagon foundation (while Caesar is still alive). The Italian man had begun to flirt with you, causing jojo to have a jealous meltdown. If this manchild is not the center of attention then he will make himself known. He takes his clackers and tosses them at the blondes head, causing him to fall unconscious.

He then stands in front of you  "Oi, I didn't know that there was an angel so far away from Heaven." You begin to blush only for him to raise a brassier ad and ask you if "those are real." You pimp slap him causing Joseph to lose a tooth. "I guess I really am bad with women. Let me try something else." He then got an idea and pulled out a coca cola bottle from his pocket. "Want to see a magic trick?"

Caesar has just woken up with a throbbing headache. "Momma mia, what's going on...?" Joseph uses his hamon to cause the lid to fly off the bottle. It zooms past your head and then somehow reaches the formally unconious man, hitting him square in the face. K.O. He's not waking up anytime soon. You agree to one date as long as jojo promises to leave you alone afterwards.

You are both sitting at a fancy restaurant. Joseph had ordered squid ink pasta while you had some Risotto. The man had insisted on something called McDonald's until he remembered that he was banned from that establishment after waving around a Tommy gun. He took this chance to get your attention and flung some noodles into another patrons glass.

You weren't impressed. Joseph then decided to break the ice. "The French are very cultured you know. They have this thing called menage e trois."  You choked on your food. You could not believe that he was doing this. You told him you were a firm believer in monogany but he began to protest. "C'mon it's not like anyone will find out, I'm going out with multiple other girls right now!"

You threw your drink at him in disgust. "Pig!" You then ran out of the restaurant. "Who needs her? I'll just go find myself a Japanese wom-" Suddenly the room feels very cold. It was none other than the patron who's drink he had ruined earlier. He slowly turned around. "Lisa Lisa?" He had no idea that he mentor would be here. "I think you mean mother." His brain stopped functioning. "Wait, what?"

"I see how I have failed you as a parent and now I must punish you." She then bent Joseph over her knee and began to spank him. Screaming was heard through out the whole town well into the next morning. Eventually the sound found Caesar but instead of waking him up it only gave him the most pleasant dream of his life.

To celebrate, I decided to share a snippet of the Marlene POV one-shot since you guys have been all about Blackinnon lately. This snippet is unedited.

Right Where You Left Me

It was like life had been breathed back into Marlene McKinnon for the first time in fifteen years. She felt alive again as a force deep within her awakened. 

Nails dug into her cheeks, sharp enough to let her know she hadn’t slipped into a nightmare. Fear bubbled in the pit of her stomach, familiar and unwanted. Her chest heaved, every single muscle in her body tensing. 

"Marly and I need to have a little chat about how naughty she's been lately,” Bellatrix cruel voice rang in her ears. 

Marly. 

Marly. 

Marly. 

He was the only one who called her Marly.

A wave of longing coursed through her veins. His low rumble. The smell of leather. Calloused hands cupping her face. His hot breath tickling her neck.

Every single bad thought she had ever had about Sirius Black slipped from her mind. She mentally screamed for him, just like she had all those years ago. She wanted him to save her like some tragic damsel in one of those Muggle movies she had watched with Lily, Dorcas, and Mary. She wanted - no needed him in a primal fashion. She needed his touch, his security, and for him to lose his ever-loving mind because someone dared to touch her. 

He had always been possessive over the ones he loved. Sirius would torture, maim, and kill for those he loved without blinking an eyelid. 

A wand shoved under her chin, forcing her head back. Wetness seeped down her face, her gaze focused on the sky. Bright and cloudless. A serene blue. But Marlene didn’t see the sun. She only saw stars. 

“I talk to stars sometimes,” Sirius’ voice echoed in her head, a conversation had long ago when they were still young and dumb. “I know that’s mental.”

“I think we do what we need to in order to survive,” Marlene heard her own voice, her voice sounding as through it were coming through a water-logged wireless. 

A sob rang in the air. Or maybe just in her head. She couldn’t tell if it was her sobbing in the present or if it was a memory rising to the forefront of her mind. 

Bellatrix hissed in her ear, a string of nonsensical syllables. But all Marlene saw was Sirius. All she could concentrate on was his face that flashed across her eyelids every time she blinked. She could picture his mischievous grin, the way sarcasm rolled off his tongue. 

“I’m not boyfriend material, McKinnon. You’d be better off dating the Giant Squid,” Sirius had warned her, taking a long drag of his cigarette. 

“I think dating the Giant Squid may be a tad bit illegal,” Marlene had replied.

Sirius’ bark-like laugh was like music to her ears. 

“I think I’d rather take my chances with you,” her voice echoed in her head. 

Marlene tried not to drown, to be pulled under so deep that she couldn’t breathe. Her eyes fluttered and she saw James. A whimper sounded in her throat. If James was here, then Sirius wasn’t far behind. 

“I’m going to enjoy killing your godson,” Bellatrix hissed, a maniacal cackle on the tip of her tongue. 

Ice washed over Marlene’s body. It wasn’t James just across the lane. It was Harry. 

Before she could do anything with that realization, everything went black.

It is worth curious reflection on whether there is a relation at all between these animals and the hostile "jelly bombs" that pepper the nighttime stellar basin like sea mines.

How to catch: The quickest way to end up with one of these is to have great luck while completing the main story objectives for the region. Otherwise, this one can be a challenge in patience to catch. Aurora jellyfish can only be caught within trawl nets, when they emerge at night in the Stellar Basin's costal range.

Virgil had always wondered why Gordon - a once military man within WASP and a fearless rescuer of International Rescue - was too darn nervous when around statues. More specifically, ones from their mainland.

It was something that he noticed since the Little Squid was a teenager.

He remembered the first time that happened: when Alan wanted to look at the Statue of Liberty, the 16 year old Gordon turned pale as a ice.

"Don't go! T-There's a giant ass horned snake in there! He'll zap you out of dimensions!"

What the heck?! Was everyone's first thought.

What was that "snake" was he talking about?

And why freaking out over a monument that just stand there? And existed for a very long time and representing the liberty of their people... for a certain time.

Usually, strange rumors and scary stories that his school friends would tell him just give Gordon something to make the old age "Unsolved Mysteries" joke.

But, since then, he was terrified for even seeing a face of one of those legendary pieces of sculped art.

Thankfully, his fear had eased for the poor Little Squid. And it seemed - at least what Virgil thought - that his phobia was long forgotten...

Until recently.

Coincidentally, Virgil was sculping a beautiful gargoyle based on a Kirin, when he heard a scream booming through the Tracy Villa!

It was Gordon's...

With wet clay on his face, hands and art apron, the pilot of Thunderbird 2 rushed out of his art studio towards his wing-man's room.

When he eventually arrived, another scream nearly made the poor Virgil deaf for a moment.

Then there was a loud crash.

And then there was silence. The Fish and the Tank simply stared at each other.

Beside a trampled Gordon, lay a film box that used the house a file cylinder, a discarded bowl of caramel-flavored popcorn, and some spilled spinach juice on the floor.

On the screen of the television, was a rather terrifying looking menu screen. The visuals replicated that of analog film nearly half a century ago, the colors were black and white. A certain statue of a warrior lady with a sword in her hand, flickered in and out in the background of the static. Along with some other strange anomalies in the semi-dark sky and a muffled vintage music was playing.

The older brother reached for the remote, convientely thrown at the edge of the doorway and turned the TV off.

"Gee Wiz, Virgil!" the aquanaut broke the silence, finding his breath, "that face paint of yours made me think you were 'Freedom' coming to chop my head off, bro!"

After another moment of awkward silence, the artist slowly put his hands on his hips, with the most deadpanned expression that rivals that of Scott's.

"Gordon? What on Earth were you doing?" he stood before the curled up joker for a brother.

Virgil took the box and glanced at the cover. And then suddenly, all of the puzzle pieces just clicked into place!

He had found culprit of Gordon's odd fear, written in two words:

(please be aware I do not watch Squid Game and only recently started to like the series, my favorite character other than our main character was Thanos and his death kinda fueled me to unleash this thing-)

Summary: After the untimely and unplanned demise of player 230 a new 230 was brought in to play.

What if: 001 doesn't reveal who he is.

Hyun-Kim Yong

Our main character, while with the remainder of his acquaintances, received news from a guard the moment the new player arrived that they wanted to talk to him and as he walks to meet the player the other players all gossip.

"I wonder what he'll be like"

"I heard he's a gangster"

"A gangster? I heard former military"

"I heard that was the plea deal, military or prison"

"Damn.."

Gi-hun was becoming nervous the closer he got to the room, he started to hear struggles and got more nervous until the guard leading him sighed and he could've sworn heard him mumble "Again?" under his breath before opening the door.

Behind the door was a petite woman, with blue hair and scarred hands being her most defining features, who was throwing the guards in the room around like they were ragdolls.

"230, we've discussed this before, please refrain from harming the guards."

"Wouldn't have to harm you fucks if you knew what personal space meant."

From the tone of the words spoken Gi-hun didn't know if he should fear the guard or the new player by the look they're giving, a look that faded away as she saw Gi-hun slightly behind the guard. She dropped the female guard under her and walked over to him outstretching her hand.

"Gi-hun I presume?"

"..yes"

"Pleasure to meet you, I am Hyun-Kim Yong, but please call me Yong or 230 when around other players."

"Wait...YOU are Hyun-Kim Yong?"

"Did I stutter?"

"No it's just-"

"Expected a man? Considering my name. And what I expect you have heard about me."

"Yeah"

"And I should expect the same for not just you?"

"Yeah-"

From that day on Yong was a key member of Gi-hun's plan, even the reason he was still alive a few times, and she became possibly the most feared person in the games, not a soul didn't fear her except for ever smitten Gi-hun himself, even the good old frontman never tried a damn thing against her.

Speaking of the frontman...

His reasons for doing this are very much unknown but what is certain is the fact he almost stopped. Because of her. While Gi-hun may have a love for the good in her the Frontman found himself fascinated with the hidden evils inside. Both had the same mindset though.

She is too good to die.

Oh what a poetic tale, two naive and hurt men fallen for a woman they just met, one smitten by the gorgeous heart incased in ice, the other obsessed with the sins that hide within that beautiful heart. One ready and willing to burn the world for her, and one who will let the world burn to save her from the fires. Just the kind of twisted tale this doomed beast was weaving, oh why haven't they learned that the most beautiful flowers are also deadly to the touch. Beautiful things that while able to kill you instantly can also aid to healing over time.

She mused these things as being approached by a random player.

"Who the hell are you? What are you planning!?-"

"Ever heard of the Trojan war?"

"Uh..yeah.."

"Would you believe that an event so catastrophic, one that led to both the death as well as the freedom of many, was started over a woman?"

"...you still haven't answered my question"

"What was it again?"

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!? SPEAK YOU TRAITOR!!"

She screamed at the man as she swung again, her bat colliding with the metal pipe he grabbed for defense. Oh Young-Il. Or so he called himself, truly the Frontman, she didn't doubt that in the slightest anymore, yet he still tried to keep up the act.

"Put down the weapon 230, I don't know what you're talking about! Just stop it and let's find the others!"

"Will you stop lying already!? I know what you are!!"

The attack wasn't sudden. A revolt against the guards was taking place and amongst the groups of 2-6 players there was Hyun-Kim Yong and Oh Young-Il. She had started to suspect him almost immediately after joining the games and this was no better time to do it she figured as she clenched the bat in her hand.

"I don't want to harm you 230!!"

"Why not!? You've had no problem so far!"

"Stop speaking like this!!"

He dodged another hit and countered with one of his own. The look on his face was one of almost sheer pain while she smiled gleefully as if enjoying taunting about what she knew about him.

"Speaking like what!? The truth!? You can't run from what is obvious 001. Did you think it wouldn't be obvious just from that number?"

"I didn't want any of this."

"Was that your confession? Got any more excuses? You may not want this but you will get it anyway, pain is due justice."

"Just stop this!"

He landed a hit on her forcing her to switch tactics from offense to dodging. She moved as quick as possible, a little stronger in this way than him as she always found it easy to avoid hits due to her size.

"Why should I? Why should I let you be the one to survive and live in these people's minds as a hero when you're truly the monster who put them here."

"I am not a monster!!!"

"Keep telling yourself that! Must be why you joined the games yourself? You know you're the monster to them so you wanted to make yourself as least of a monster as possible. You know you are one because you can feel it yourself!"

"I AM NOT A MONSTER!!!!"

He heard rustling from behind him and swung back hard piercing something and he froze immediately at the sound of wood hitting the ground. He turned around to see Hyun-Kim Yong standing before him with the metal pipe impaled through her torso, directly under her heart. The look on his face was one of pure horror, as if a child who just saw their puppy run over, while she laughed madly, mumbling under her breath "Love is War" as she fell forward, immediately being caught by the arms of the monster who did this to them all and yet she smiled, blood pouring from her teeth.

"Yong..wh-"

The gunshots began to ring as the Frontman stared into the camera directly behind her on the wall, blinking that someone was watching.

"Time..for my favorite..game.."

She let her head fall onto his shoulder, her breath more faint than ever.

"War."

About Hyun-Kim Yong

Yong is a 30 year old woman from Seoul, South Korea. She was born into a family of crime and in her early 20s after being given a plea deal for killing her husband she served in the military before being "Dishonorably Discharged" after nearly murdering a male soldier after allegations of him assaulting a young girl. She has black hair dyed dark blue and light brown eyes and she is a height of 5'1.

The ultimate goal of Yong was to get closer to both Gi-hun and In-ho, not originally to make them love her though she took advantage of that fact, and make them dependant on her for their stability, then she would confront the Frontman while on a live feed throughout the games to show both players and staff as she would make him kill her. This was all in plans that Gi-hun and In-ho would fight to the death over her own, with one or both of them freed from their sorrowful lives and all the remaining players allowed to live...well as long as they could survive the "war" that would commence afterwards.

What was the last game you played?: Lol, earlier today, I was putting together some PVC dog cots with Kristen, River, and Liv, and I was like, "It's Squid Game; the last person to finish…" (ominous hand gesture)

Is there anything going to get released soon that you're looking forward to?: I'd have to check with my mom, but if she's interested, then we might go see Mufasa: The Lion King.

Do you have a fan in the room you're in?: No.

How many candles do you own?: Three. Two in my room and one in a pinecone wreath centerpiece on the dining room table. There might be more "in storage," but I'm not going to bother trying to account for those.

What's something you wish you liked but you don't?: Seaweed. Rolled sushi and rice balls look so appetizing, but I just haaate the taste of seaweed.

Do you use a baby voice when talking to animals?: Sometimes I use a baby voice, but I also use a voice that isn't exactly babyish but is still pretty sappy. And sometimes I use my normal voice.

Would you say your parents put too much pressure on you?: No. Of course they had expectations, but they were never overbearing about them. Especially now that I'm older, they very much let me forge my own path in life.

What's for dinner today?: Probably a rice bowl of some sort.

Can you fall asleep easily or do you need something to help you sleep?: I need something to distract from my constantly buzzing thoughts. Last night, I rewatched a video by Natural World Facts called Into The Abyss: Creatures Of The Midwater. He has such a soothing voice. Really appreciate content creators who don't feel the need to YELL. You can't make a subject any more interesting by SCREAMING at me. :')

What do you do when you get bored of sitting in the car a long time while on trips?: There's not much I can do beyond listen to music or audiobooks, chat with whoever is with me, eat, or take a nap. I can't bring a laptop along because of motion sickness.

What game did you play most as a kid?: Games like tag and hide and seek. Pretend - basically made up scenarios / stories, either "LARPing" or using action figures or stuffed animals as characters. As far as video and computer games go, Mario Kart, Star Fox, Yoshi's Story, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Star Craft, and Moraff games (they had options such as Tetris, Mahjong, matching games, puzzles, pinball), etc.

What's the best thing that's happened today?: Nothing sticks out, but it's been a pretty decent day so far.

What about worst thing?: Nothing was all that bad either.

Do you like the scent of gasoline?: Ehhh. Not so much after accidentally getting it on my hands when pumping gas the other day.

What's an odd smell you find pleasing?: Maybe campfire smoke lingering on clothing. It's not necessarily pleasing by itself, but there's a nostalgic quality to it.

How often do you visit Bzoink?: I so wish Bzoink was still a thing. I wonder where all of the previous Bzoinkers migrated to after it closed down. :'(

Which cell phone network do you use?: Verizon.

What's something you've been made fun of for before?: I've never been seriously made fun of for anything. Not to my face, anyway.

What is something you need to work on?: Not allowing my fears and insecurities to get the best of me or make me resentful, envious, etc.

What movie or show has scared you the most?: As a child, Watership Down. I don't know why I kept renting that movie when it terrified me so much. Also, The Ring. Obviously less scary after I realized I wasn't actually going to die in seven days.

Would you rather have cake or ice cream? or ice cream cake?: Right now, probably cake. Love all of the options in general, though.

What is your style in clothing and would you like to change it?: So boring. I would like to change it, but it's going to have to be a process because I'm not going to overhaul my wardrobe all at once.

Have you ever been to a drive in movie?: We went a few times when I was younger. Loved it then, but probably wouldn't enjoy it as much now.

I'm not a social butterfly - I'm actually pretty shy, at least initially - but I do enjoy being around others. There are times when it's draining, but when the vibe is good, it can be very energizing.
