after 1 million years i finished my statue sprites

#dwarf fortress #modding #fun fact! in order to inherit color the sprite's colors must match a specific vanilla palette #it doesn't need to actually only contain those colors. or even the same number of colors #it's just any matching color hex codes automatically inherit the color of the material making the statue (so sandstone and that one limeston #anyways hi it took 9 hours to do those

Small Sprite Practice with some OCs of mine

Lately I've been learning to use Adventure Game Studio so I can create a game with some Ideas I have, these are the first Sprites of the characters.

Ely (The girl in the first Two) and his companion Dan (the ghost in the third one)

I made some Base ones, ones talking, and I'm working on adding Dan's Hat to Ely's sprite while she's possessed.

The idea for the Game is they run a business that consists on charging people to unhaunt their properties by helping the ghosts move on while also investing why Ely is the only person capable of seeing ghosts.

Dan can possesses Ely to interact with NPCs or objects and he has different dialogue from Ely, of course there are Puzzles that can only be solved by one of the two.

Again so far this project (Working title Hex on the Shelves) is in a very early estate, so far I want to make a prologue demo to test my abilities.

hate it when sitting down and making a dev tool instead of running forward and making more content the hard way is actually an incredibly valuable and effort-saving and all-around good and helpful thing to do

#once i realized it was easier for me to test sprite changes in the ghost trick ROM by editing hex than in the game i myself am developing #i realized that. i should probably um. make my life a bit easier #once again ROMhacking ghost trick proves to be an invaluable tool in my own game dev journey #thanks ghost trick sorry i still havent finished the hack i started like 2 years ago i promise i havent given up on you

But this isn't nearly as bad as then. Compared to that, it feels pointless to cry over a rejected confession.
