#spring awakening proshot

i've been holding this in for three years and i don't know how.

many of you know i'm very open about sharing the spring awakening bootlegs that i have. but there is one i have never shared or even made mention of - the proshot.

we all knew it existed and i'm sorry for keeping it from everyone for so long. it is the 17 year anniversary of this capture which surprisingly means that it is now under fair use so sharing it won't get me into legal trouble.

this is a capture from the very beginning of the show's off-broadway run, so there are some changes from the finished version of the show we saw on broadway. however, it still contains the full original off broadway cast in all their glory. i'm so happy i'm finally able to share this with everyone.

Every two years or so I keep coming back to the Spring Awakening Fandom, specifically the Deaf West production like a moth to a flame. Ever since I found out about DWSA, I have never been the same. I have gone feral just because it is all I think about and how it deserves a proshot.

Wanted to share what @mrsm3w said in the tags if this post in case anyone is interested in doing this! I know it’s still inaccessible for people who don’t live in/near NYC or don’t have the means to travel there, but at least we know that a proshot of this (and many other shows) does exist and can be seen at the NYPL! I just wish these kinds of things could be released to the public so that anyone can watch it whether they live in NY or not. There’s kinda no reason not to after the show has closed. And we know that people will still pay to watch the show live on Broadway/Tour/UK after a proshot is released (ei: Hamilton, Newsies, Come From Away, Rent, Into The Woods, and eventually Waitress) so profit isn’t an issue!

Spring Awakening and Sing Street as Netflix shows

I saw these promo pictures from Spring Awakening and Sing Street and the first thing I thought was that they looked like those pictures they use for the Netflix show titles

I’m grasping at straws here guys. Both these shows mean the world to me but neither of them are currently open or producing any new content. It hurts.
