It's a bit of "anyone and everyone" including yourself, for most things, all things really.

And I'm just going to do a bit of fanning over this Unfiction thing if that's okay.

So on TheAntagonist on Tumblr - blog where my very self-hating OC has access to tumblr, fae was determined to stay where fae was, never talk to anyone or hurt anyone ever again, even if fae does want to feel better again.

And. People. Are. So. Nice. Holy herbs.

@yesireadbooks in particular is probably the nicest bean on the planet.

It's pretty amazing - like even for myself when I was spiraling - that there are all these people out there with the kindest hearts. Like neither me nor my OC could've helped ourselves to that degree - and nowhere near as fast - without some outside help.

It could've been a full-out spiral for weeks and weeks to me and I came out with only a day or two of empty sadness. Sure it was a lot of my own mental effort, but without the writeblr community that wouldn't have been possible so fast and so easily.

And for Anuli, I sent faer onto this site with no idea what to expect other than Anuli being determined to fight with me over making faer actually do things. Fae thought that anyone who knew faer would eventually regret it later and fae was in a very large spiral.

But the wisdom of the internet wow. I just-

It's wonderous.

It's time to quit the "no one can love you unless you love yourself" bullshit. We are social animals. We need to be shown healthy love to internalize it. Even self love is a group effort and that's not wrong.

Thinking about Carpe Diem and the cinematography of falling leaves to falling snow.

Seasons as cyclical as generations. It's tapestries and banners. It’s photographs on the wall. A structure, a system; tradition in the bones of buildings and boys.

There's a choice to be made - Nolan's hollow, ceremonial Light of Knowledge, or Neil's scavenged, man-made God of the Cave?

They’re children living for the future through a lens of past. Fireside stories embraced by woodland caves. They chant, dance, and recite from a sacred book - the heirloom they claim from a father they chose.

The window is finally open, but time froze at Welton lake. Forever winter. Forever youth. A moment in time, a feeling, a community turned to dust.

It's all so fleeting. Carpe Diem. Teenage years, childhood, a lifetime in three months. It’s a tragedy of classical epics.

The tale is old, but this wound is fresh. Falling to your knees. Shouting at the sky, praying and wailing, and clutching at the earth.

But the snow never stops.

something i'll never be able to get over with the bbh and dapper relationship is what dapper wrote in the laboratory journal:

"But if I am a sun for him, aren't stars suppose to burn either way?"

because only dapper could take bbh's incredibly sincere and loving phrase of endearment and see the negative connotations of it, not out of distrust or resentment but rather pure logical reason. that yeah the sun is a star and stars do burn and don't truly last forever (don't get me started on the fact that bbh is canonically immortal so there's another level of angst regarding dapper fearing not living as long as his dad). that this phrase capsulate the initial feelings that all the parents had towards the eggs. because at first all the parents really did see the eggs as a means to a end, that they were the latest task / challenge presented by the island. and its not like they weren't vocal about that fact to the eggs, they explicitly asked the eggs and bragged to them about raising them the best and talking about the "prize" for raising them.

i feel like dappers the only egg that's really touched on the fact that the eggs weren't really suppose to last. that he isn't afraid of death but rather his fathers reaction to it, because it was the parents attachment to the eggs that has kept them around. dapper has always been very transparent with his mortality and potential death but i feel like this quote is the first time his character has actually touched on dapper's feeling about dying. i think another level of this quote is also the connotations of "burn" because its really makes me think of the parents interest in the eggs "burning" away (burnout) because of all the parents bbh has been the one to log on everyday and care for both him and the other eggs. and its questioning when is his father investment in him going to burn away too, because its the parents attachment that kept them around but how long can the parents remain attached.

i dont know. i absolutely adore this quote. its just got some many levels and connotations and its adds so much depth to dapper's character. i love the server lore and etc but i wish we got more from the dapper secret labortory arc because it was such a interesting arc for dapper character. anyway this quote is my roman empire.
