Brains & Brawn
Pairing: Changbin x Reader
Word count: 2,580
Content warnings: Fluff, cursing
Summary: You’re paired up with Changbin on a semester project for your college class. While the two of you were in similar degrees and orbited in overlapping circles you had never really gotten to know each other. But this project brings the two of you much closer than you had expected and you learn how hot the resident buff gym rat nerd actually is.

The smile on your face is electric as you hear Professor Kang call out your last name and Changbin’s last name letting you know that you would be paired up with him for your semester project together. Turning your head your smile widens on your face as you spot Changbin already looking at you with his own grin on his face. You weren’t super close with Changbin but since the two of you were going for similar degrees your classes tended to line up with his and you’d seen him more often than not in your classes. Not to mention the two of you had branched out in your field of interest in big ways, you had started a small YouTube channel with exercise videos to help improve motor skills and Changbin had begun interning with the college football team under their physical therapist, so you were both at least aware of each other if not close.
“Hey YT star!” he greeted you happily with the nickname that you had garnered due to your YouTube channel. He grinned widely at you as his eyes squinted slightly and his nose scrunched up at the movement. You smiled at him softly as you sucked in a soft breath, he was adorable and you knew you would have a hard time during this project.
You had always admired Changbin, from what you had seen of him during class he was always kind and willing to help anyone who was struggling with the coursework. He was also well liked by all the athletes at school and was very popular and well liked by many. But now as he slipped into the seat next to you you couldn’t help but notice the easy warmth he exuded and how much it drew you into him. It was almost like an easy connection that you hadn’t known you wanted or needed.
“Hey Changbin.” you greet him kindly and he grins at you as his eyes sparkle that you recognize him.
“So you ready to ace this project together?” he asked teasingly and you chuckled at his confidence.
“Have you already started thinking about what you’d like to do for it?” you asked as you opened your notebook and grabbed your pen.
“Sort of, it’s just a vague idea but what if we used your YouTube channel and made a small series of videos together showing different exercises that show the different aspects of Kinesiology.” he said and you quickly wrote down his idea before turning to him with a curious look.
“Do like a set of five videos for anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, exercise science, motor control and sport and exercise psychology?” you asked him as you continued to write down the aspects for Kinesiology.
“Yeah, we’d both take half of the video to showcase our own take on the aspect and which exercises or information we could provide.” he said as he nodded his head.
“Oh, I like that idea!” you said in an excited hushed tone that made him smile softly at you as you continued to write out ideas that popped into your head. You continued writing the ideas that came to you before you heard the bell for the school ring and you looked up surprised and worried. “Oh! I’m sorry I totally ran with your idea.” you apologize sheepishly and Changbin grinned at you while shaking his head at you.
“No worries YT star! I knew it was going to be a hit or miss idea but I’m glad you liked it so much. Here give me your cell phone and I’ll put my number in. We can start planning and setting up times for research and when to record the videos. I’ll give you my phone too.” he said easily and you nodded at him quickly as you pulled your phone from your backpack to hand to him before taking his cell phone from him. The two of you quickly exchanged numbers with the promise to get together soon to start hammering out all the details to the project together. And with that the two of you left to get to whatever your next thing was for you to take care of.
Tumblr media
Hey, come to the gym tonight. I’d like to show you some exercises that I’ve been thinking about using in the videos. The text from Changbin had come towards the middle of your last class of the day, you smiled down at your phone and quickly typed out a response to him. Alright, I’ll meet you there. Do you want dinner? I haven’t eaten anything since lunch and I’m starving. Let me know if you’d like anything from The Jade Dragon. The conversation then devolved into Changbin’s love for that restaurant before he told he’d put in an order for both of you since he knew the owner so well and all you’d have to do was pick it up for the two of you. Chuckling softly you told him that was fine before slipping your cell phone into your backpack and turning back to your class.
It had been a month now since the two of you had been paired up for the semester project and the two of you had easily and quickly fell into a close friendship. Because both of your desired careers were similar you found yourself reaching out to him for more than just his input on Kinesiology work and vice versa. He had even started reaching out to you for tips of making his workouts more easier to follow for others since he was wanting to start making his own exercise videos and move into the YouTube side of things like you had. The two of you had even started hanging out outside of your normal meetups for your project. Changbin would sometimes surprise you after one of your late classes with a healthy snack or you would meet up with him to go for an early morning run before classes.
Over the month of knowing him you had come to realize that Changbin’s reputation around campus wasn’t so far off from his actual character. He was a kind, very helpful person but he was so much more than just that. You had come to see the sweet silly side of Changbin, which he didn’t often display around campus. Only a few people got to see that side of him and you were happy that you were one of those people. He was always cracking jokes around you and his loud raucous laughter was like happiness injected into your veins whenever you heard it. It had soon become one of your favorite sounds
After class was over you had looked at the confirmation text from Changbin to let you know that the food was ordered and already paid for. You just had to give his name to the person at the front register and they’d get it ready for you. The walk from class to The Jade Dragon didn’t take you long and after you gave Changbin’s name you moved to the side to wait patiently for the food to be ready. You quickly sent Changbin some money to pay him back for your portion of the bill before you began to scroll through social media.
Why did you send me money? Came Changbin’s text as you were scrolling through the comments on your latest YouTube video and you scoffed softly at his question while rolling your eyes. Because you can’t pay all the time Changbin. You typed in response before sending it quickly before going back to the comments. You chuckled softly when he sent you a thumbs down emoji just as your name was called for your food. You quickly grabbed the food and thanked the person before heading out of the restaurant and starting your trek to the gym.
When you arrived you peered around the open doorway to see Changbin working by the free weights and your breath caught in your throat. He was wearing a simple ribbed black tank top and black basketball shorts and you’d never seen so much skin or muscle on display by Changbin before. Your breath stuttered in your chest as your eyes raked up and down his form. You had always thought that Changbin was handsome, cute even when he was being silly but right now you were viewing him in a completely different manner.
Heat flooded your body as you watched him set the weights back on the rack before his head snapped up to make eye contact with you steadily. Your cheeks flushed brightly as Changbin smirked at you while his eyes danced with delight.
”Are you just gonna stand there? I’m starving!” He called out grinning at you and you jolted in place before rushing over to him with the food. While the two of you eat dinner together Changbin explained to you all the exercises that he had come up with for the different segments of your project. The two of you continued to talk and plan out the videos while you ate. But while his happy, excited manner kept your mind occupied, you couldn’t help but steal glances at his body whenever he would show you the different exercises that he had come up with.
It was all a little too much for you as you sat there enjoying your time with Changbin. You hadn’t expected to be this affected by his looks but then again you also hadn’t really expected to grow as close to him as you had already. But as you sat with him eating your dinner together while laughing and feeling a little overwhelmed by your reaction to him you couldn’t help but admire him for his dedication to fitness and resolved yourself to slowly examine your feelings for him.
Tumblr media
It’s another late night for you in the library as you stare at your laptop going through each of the videos that you and Changbin had made for your project. Over the past month you had brought up to him joining forces to create a new YouTube channel together. You had pitched it to him that with the two of you wanting to find careers in the physical therapy and occupational therapy fields that you thought it’d be even more beneficial to your viewers to have both of you making videos and content.
After he had been apprehensive and you totally understood his concerns but you had tried to explain to him all the pros and cons to it all. You had even told him that with your experience from your YouTube channel that you’d be able to help steer the two of you down the right path. Not wanting to pressure him into his decision, you had told him to take a while to think it all over and let you know at the end of the project.
And tonight as you sighed tiredly while going over the videos for the last time he had promised you that he’d meet up with you in the library to hand in your project together and he would give you his answer as well. Your eyes darted over to the small clock in the corner of your laptop screen and sighed softly as you saw that it was inching closer to the deadline time. Looking up from the laptop your eyes darted around the library searching for him but when you didn’t see him you sighed softly wondering if you should email the videos and the paper to Professor Kang so that it wouldn’t be considered late.
As you finished drafting the email to Professor Kang your finger hovered over the mouse pad for a moment before your eyes darted up to search the library once more.
”Don’t you dare press that button. That’s my job.” Changbin’s voice rang out loudly in the quiet library and you nearly fell out of your chair with shock.
”Changbin!” You snapped at him as you whirled in your seat to glare at him angrily, a harsh scolding on the tip of your tongue before your brain realized what you were staring at. Changbin stood in front of you dressed in a baggy black hoodie and wide legged jeans like the day the two of you had been paired for this project. But the two biggest differences from today and back then was Changbin’s curly messy soft hair and the black framed glasses sitting perched on his nose. You stare at him in silence as your mouth falls open slightly and your brain short circuits. Changbin moves closer to you and leans down to read the email quickly before reaching over you and clicking the send button on the email.
You’re still staring at him in silence when he turns his head to look at you worriedly as you had been too quiet for too long. He stares at you for a moment his eyes darting around your face before smirking softly as he notices your eyes darting from his curly hair to his glasses.
”I always love that I can make you speechless without even really trying.” He says softly in a teasing tone.
”It’s not fair.” You whine softly and he giggles loudly.
”What’s not fair Jagi?” He asks knowingly and you huff at him before scowling softly at him.
”It’s not fair that not only are you a very attractive buff gym rat but you’re also very smart and a bit of a hot nerd.” You blurt out sounding offended. You realize too late what you had said and your eyes widen comically as Changbin lets out another loud giggle at your assessment of him as a pretty blush starts to creep up his neck shyly.
”Well it’s not fair that my YT star partner is just as smart and even more attractive than I am.” He teases you gently and your eyes narrow on him with focus.
”Is that your way of telling me that you’d like to start a YouTube partnership with me?” You ask skeptically and Changbin smirks down at you while leaning further into your space.
”And possibly another partnership too.” Changbin says cryptically and you frown softly at him before tilting your head to the side with curiosity. Changbin smirks softly and cups your face before resting his forehead against yours. “What do you think of starting a romantic partnership with me?” He asks softly and you gape at him silently before groaning loudly and shutting your eyes.
”Add being smooth as fuck to the list of not fair qualities you own.” You whine out to him and he giggles at you before pecking your cheek quickly.
”C’mon I’m starving and I know you’re about to fall asleep after going through the videos. Let me take you out and walk you back to your place. And you never answered my question.” He tells you and you furrow your eyebrows at him as you turn to put away your laptop.
”If you think I’m going to tell you no to that romantic partnership then I’m taking away your smart quality from the not fair list.” You gripe out to him over your shoulder and he bursts out into loud laughter while slinging an arm over your shoulders as he guides you out of the library much to the relief of the librarian. Changbin grins as he nuzzles his face into your neck and whispers into your ear.
”Can’t have you doing that Jagi.”

Part 4: The Lycan Brothers < | > Part 6: The Orc Warchief
****
Ace and Sprocket kept you in the cage all the way through the forest. You didn’t bother asking where they were taking you. You already knew.: Tin City, the goblin capital of the world. An industrial cityscape, smog and smoke turned the blue clear skies a murky green and brown. Factory smokestacks went high up into the sky, covering the mountain range beyond from view. Buildings made of metal, Tin City was the most technologically advanced city in the kingdom. Electrical lampposts glowed on the side corners, while motor cars rode up and down the cemented streets.
By passing banks, clothing stores, and houses, Ace eventually drove to a large building in the heart of the city. Dozens of people walked in and out of them: some hauled large crates or sacks over their shoulders, others stood outside haggling over goods on wagons, but it was the cages you noticed. People of all races stayed chained inside them like you, frightened of their goblin captors holding long electrical cattle-prods.
Above the large door was a sign of two crossing gavels. An auction house.
“Hey, Rambo,” Ace called out to a goblin standing outside the house’s gate. “What’s the word on the street?”
“Word on the street is that cayenne spice prices are low and cloth bolts are going sky high,” he responded in a rough voice. He took a puff of his cigar, then said, “The Bookies down in the Oil Trap are taking bets on tonight’s dog fights. Rumor is Yeo’s got his dogs in the game. I’d get my slips in if I were you.”
“Good to know, good to know,” he replied, nodding in understanding. “Look, I got some product to move and I was hoping to let the big guy get first dibs.” He nodded to the cage behind him, “Any chance you got any extra invites hanging in those big pockets?”
“I might have one or two,” Rambo said suspiciously. “Five-hundred each.”
“Five-hundred?”
“You want in the party or not, Ace?”
“I ain’t paying-”
“-Ace, we’ll make it all back when we sell this off,” Sprocket said. “Don’t get stingy now.”
“Ugh fine, but if this is a bust, you owe me, Sprocket.”
Rambo eyed the cage as Ace dug out his wallet. He spotted you curled in the corner and smirked. “Hey, if Yeo isn’t interested,” he said to Ace, “Can I get an hour with the human? I love ‘em.”
“We’ll see. Thanks for the invites.”
Ace climbed back into the car, and drove away. Great, another warlord you’re being sold to. You didn’t see how you’d be getting out of this place. It was too crowded, and too many eyes lurking on the streets. You’re sure the place is lit up even in the dead of night. Closing your eyes, you tried not focusing on the slight vibrations the car’s motor sent throughout the cage floor. It faintly tickled your bare center, and you recalled the two goblins taking equal turns on you. Maybe they’d do it again if this ‘Prince’ didn’t want you. They might decide not to sell you and keep you chained up for personal use. The image had you dripping in minutes.
Then you shook it away.
They drove up a hill to a large palace made of metal and stone. A long line of cars went through a guarded gate one by one, likely having their invitations checked by large, armored trolls. Your stomach churned seeing one of them check Ace and Sprocket’s invites, declaring them valid, and letting them drive on through. Yes, there’d be no getting out of this place unarmed. Goblins tended to have armories or sell weapons. “Yeo” might be in the weapons business and have something useful lying around.
Driving up into a foyer between entry gate and palace gate, you saw dozens of goblins dressed in flashy clothes with jewelry and hair ornaments. Everyone looked decked out in their finest clothes for this occasion. Suddenly, you became aware of your dirty appearance. You scratched off some of the mud caked on your thighs, and tried fixing your matted hair.
Ace was directed to a special area in the parking lot for “party supplies”. Sprocket went around to the cage door while his partner handled the proper documentation. Roughly tugging each woman out of the cage, he hooked one leash to the back of the other and put cuffs around everyone’s wrists. With the wrist cuffs and leash chained to the girl in front of you, the four of you had no choice but to walk in sync. You saw nearby goblins spotting you in your dirty, naked state and laugh behind their hands. The three women in front of you at least wore ragged clothing. You only wore your boots and your blanket.
“This is the product?” A goblin said from a doorway as they approached. He had skin like an orange peel and eyes black as onyx gems.
“Yeah,” Sprocket said, “Four ladies.”
The goblin looked all of you over. “A bit grubby looking, especially that one at the end. Take them to Trixie. She’ll get ‘em cleaned up.”
“Gotcha, thanks.”
Sprocket marched you to another room where you saw people being scrubbed down, hosed off, and then forced behind dressing curtains. Stylists walked to and from the booths with aprons holding hair supplies or makeup. Some of the victims fussed in their chairs and had to be restrained. You saw one woman be prodded with an electric rod when she tried leaving her styling chair. Another man was beaten with a heavy club when he fought off the female goblin trying to fix a pair of tiny shorts on him. The ones who weighed your heart were the defeated ones. Men and women who’d become so used to the routine that they complied automatically. The misery in their eyes struck your chest.
“Oh gosh! What happened to this one?”
Your captor brought you over to a singular booth where a goblin in a shimmery purple top and matching skirt stood holding a pair of scissors. Her bright blue hair tied behind her head, she’d bought sapphire earrings to match. She stared at you, stunned and shocked as she started circling you.
“Found her in the woods,” Sprocket answered. “You think you can fix her up? This one’s got lots of potential. She’s a real money maker, trust me.”
“Hm,” the stylist, Trixie, took in your features from several inches below, “I got my work cut out for me. She’s pretty. A good scrubbing, a bit of styling and a nice dress will get people fighting for a bite of her. Plex,” she called to another female goblin, “Give her the basic makeover. Put her in the red number.”
“Sure thing, boss-lady. Come on, you.”
Plex unhooked your chains and tugged you along. The “bath” consisted of a harsh rinse, itchy sponges and brushes, sickly-sweet smelling soaps, and another cold rinse. Plex stuck you underneath a vent that blew hot air through your hair and body, which dried you in minutes, then took you to a dressing station. One goblin got to work on your makeup while another started styling your hair. They commented on your beauty. They claimed they’d never seen a human so pretty before. You’d be a real big deal once you got on the party floor.
In a skin tight crimson dress bordered with black lace, you’ll admit you looked great. The fishnet stockings just barely touched the end of the short dress, and the black heels gave you a few more inches. They’d decided on a thong for your underwear, but no bra since the dress came with a built-in one. It stuck between your cheeks, only bringing back your arousal. Thankfully, the three goblins were too focused on your face to notice the mark on your back.
“You did a damn good job, Trix,” Sprocket said when you were brought back to him. “I hardly recognized her. I think we might have a shot at getting in Yeo’s good graces. Ace wants his endorsement.”
“Good luck getting it,” Trixie replied. “Yeo’s hard to please.”
“This little gal won’t have a problem pleasing him,” he chuckled, slapping your ass and giving it a squeeze. “Ain’t that right, honey?”
“You’re so uncouth, Sprock,” Trixie scoffed, shaking her head. “Lug,” she called to a nearby troll, “Take these favors up to the party.” She considered you for a moment, “Take her to Yeo’s VIP section with the other specials. He might be interested.”
“Uh-huh,” the troll, Lug, said in a hoarse voice. “Come favors.”
“Hey, so, Trix, are you going up to the party when you’re done?”
Lug took you and the others from the prep room and up a flight of stairs. The loud music hit you through a metal door, bathing your senses when he opened it. Goblins of all shades hung around a massive pool, a few wearing bathing suits while others stayed in their finery. They drank champagne, liquor and beer. They ate from hearty plates of hor'dourves, and played with fireworks. Some played card or dice games in one corner, the loser groaning and winner cheering. You couldn’t help noticing the men and women wearing collars and being tugged around by goblins and trolls. In one particular corner, you saw a young fairy maiden dancing in nothing but a bikini bottom. The goblins around her hooted and hollered, waving paper bills at her. Another male slave sat on a couch while two female goblins groped and caressed him. Neither looked pleased by this, and you frowned.
The troll brought you over to a large cabana set up near the pool. It was roped off to keep out the ‘riff-raff’ of the party, and you saw personal servants supplying food and drinks to those inside.
“Favors,” Lug said to a bouncer posted outside.
The bouncer looked over the four chained women. He started walking along the line. “Nah, not this one. He’s got plenty of ‘em. You can give this one off to Weegel,” he said about the elf in the front. He walked to the siren beside her, “Nah, he don’t like fish girls. Nils will take her though, and Yeo’s got to keep her happy if he wants her ships.” He reached the red-haired fairy with her green wings, and shook his head. “Jard doesn’t mind the glitter or the wings. I’m sure the seller will get a good price for her.” Then, he stopped in front of you. He didn’t say anything at first and you dreaded the worst before he unhooked you from the line. “We’ll take this one.”
Lug nodded, then dragged the other girls away. The bouncer took you into the tent. Whoever owned this section kept it styled with comfortable seating, and plenty of food, drink and entertainment.
“Hey, boss,” the bouncer called to someone on the opposite side, “I got a nice favor for you. Courtesy of Ace Crank and Sprocket Botguard.”
“Do I know those guys?”
“You know Ace,” he responded. “Green guy? Got two gold teeth? Sounds like he’s been chain smoking since birth?”
“Ah, yeah, I remember him. Bring her here.”
The bouncer pushed you forward. Sitting on a velvet purple throne was a younger goblin. Wearing a leather jacket over a glittering green button down, he stood out from the well-dressed people around him. Firstly, his beige skin separated him from the green and brown goblins sitting near. He had black hair streaked with neon green, matching his shirt and the belt around his jeans. His large, wide ears had golden hoops along the bottom edges, as well as a stud in his left nostril. He sat leaning back in the chair with a female goblin in a bikini on his lap. She was smiling at him, refilling his champagne glass as she flirted with him.
However, that stopped when he finally looked over at you. Brown eyes scanned over you in your red dress and black heels, intrigue instantly coming through in a small smirk.
“Well, hey now,” he said, pushing the girl off his lap much to her protest. “What do we have here?”
He left his chair and walked over to you, finishing his drink in the process. His eyes came at level with your chest, which suited him just fine as that’s what he focused on the most. Having him so close, lust coming off of him, had you fighting off the burning in your mark.
“Since when does Ace have such nice merchandise?” he asked nobody in particular, circling you slowly. “She’s fine. Super fine. What’s your name, doll?”
“YN.”
“YN…” he let the name rest on his tongue, then said, “I like that. It suits you.” He gave your ass a gentle squeeze that you forced yourself to not react. “Ooh, yeah, that’s nice. Let me get a little peek of what you got back here.” You bit your inner cheek as he lifted the back of your dress just over your ass. “That’s a nice ass you got here, doll. Ain’t it nice, Vixel?”
“Very nice, boss,” the bouncer agreed.
“Do you know who I am, babygirl?”
“No.”
“Then you must not be from around here.” He hummed softly when he tugged on your thong, tracing it with his finger and pulling it aside for a moment. “I’m Yeo, Trade Prince of the Northern Seas. I own a fleet of a thousand ships that move products all over the kingdom. I’ve traded with kings and queens, lords and ladies, and all the rest. Even Lord Kim sometimes buys off me. I’m a big deal on this side of the kingdom. Everyone owes me, and everyone pays.” He stopped playing with your thong and moved to the front, “I’m a hardworking man, you see, so every now and then I like a bit of comfort and stress-relief. I think every man deserves that, right?”
People around him agreed, and he nodded. He started feeling up your sides, starting at your hips and sliding to the curves of your breasts. Yeo smirked when he noticed your hard nipples poking out, but didn’t touch them.
“How about you sit with me, baby, and tell me how you got to my humble abode?”
He brought you to his chair, a throne big enough for two and handed you a drink. The fizzy pink drink tasted like strawberries, and was oddly refreshing. It was the first proper thing you’d consumed since your last stop before reaching Tin City, which had been a slice of bread and water. Beside him, your tits stayed at his level, which he enjoyed immensely. Being so close to him feeling his hand slid over your thighs, had you dying for more. This was why you needed to escape.
“Where are you from, baby?” Yeosang asked, nuzzling your neck.
“Gold Rush. It’s in the south,” you said, sipping your drink.
“I figured that. You got that southern girl look about you,” he said. “I do a lot of good business down there. Have you ever heard of Vernon Chwe? I do business with his Pop. It’s mostly grain and wheat, but it’s a steady income.” The name made you tense, and Yeosang noticed this. “So you do know him. I bet he’s gotten a crack at this a few times,” he gave your thigh a squeeze. “I know I'm going to later,” he murmured, staring at your cleavage. “What brought you so far from home?”
“Wanted to get out,” you shrugged. “See the world and all that.”
“Ha, looks like you got to see the world alright,” he laughed. “But, maybe you were meant to go through all those trials to get to me.”
“Maybe.”
“Hey, Yeo!”
As he talked to a friend, you stared around the pool area. The high fence keeps intruders out and slaves in. The guards positioned around the place held various weapons ranging from daggers to pistols. By the look of them, they wouldn't hesitate to shoot you if you tried escaping. You were screwed. Totally screwed. How could you get out of here? Maybe you should have listened to the voice.
A sudden moan broke you from your head. You looked up to see one of the elf dancers bouncing in somebody’s lap. They’d taken off her top, so her breasts jiggled whenever she moved. This obviously pleased the goblins around her, who egged her on with suggestive, lewd comments. Being an elf, she towered over her partner who was several feet shorter than her. Long silver hair curtained a heart-shaped face, and pale lavender skin shone with a light layer of sweat. By the cuffs on her wrists, you knew she had no choice in this matter, but was so beaten down, she accepted her fate. Seeing her half-naked, riding the small goblin, and letting out wanton moans, you gulped thickly. You drowned out the rising arousal with your drink, hoping it cooled your cheeks, but it didn’t. Soon, people around the group noticed.
“Do you like watching, doll?” Yeosang asked in your ear, his hand sliding up your thigh.
“N-No,” you lied, though you couldn't take your eyes off the elven girl.
“Eh, I don’t think that’s true,” he clicked his tongue. His hand went back down to your knee, then to your inner thigh again, fingers treading lightly over it. “You’re staring at her pretty hard. Do you like girls?”
“Um, uh, well…”
“God, that’s hot,” he exhaled deeply, taking your answer for a ‘yes’. “I have plenty of other girls we could play with another time. Tonight, baby,” he ran his hand up to your chest, playing with your neckline, “I want it to be you, me, and my toys.” His breathing got slightly heavier, and he licked his lips. You gasped when he slid onto your lap, fitting there like a child might. “It’s so rare to find a girl who gets me hot like you do,” he said, starting to gently tug down the top-half of your dress. “The others do well enough, but…damn, not like you…”
You held back a gasp when he finally revealed your breasts. He groaned softly at the sight of them, supple and filling his hand when he grabbed them both. His thumbs tracing the outer rim of your nipples, he placed tender kisses up your neck. You glanced back over to the elf, who was starting to shake as they’d spread her out for another goblin to lap at her clit. Around the room, you saw people in various positions already enjoying one another. While the normal party carried on outside, Yeosang’s VIP tent became a full on orgy section. Your body instinctively started grinding into your partner’s groin, feeling the hard bulge poking the middle.
“I think I’m in love,” Yeosang chuckled, licking one of your nipples. “A hot girl with nice tits who’s dying to fuck me? How lucky can a guy get?”
The ball pierced to his tongue started whirling around your nipple, the metal grazing over it each time. You pictured it in other places as he grinded against you. Yeosang lost himself in his own world; your body being the world he wanted to explore. His cock pressed to your stomach mostly, and you were tempted to touch it.
“Go on, baby,” he groaned, your tit popping out of his mouth, “Grope me.”
Not big at all, you imagined his size worked wonders on regular goblin women. For you, it might only go halfway. Yeosang let out a low groan when you cupped her entire crotch, fingers rolling over his balls while your palm pressed to his short shaft. He buried his face between your breasts, humming and licking where he could while teasing your nipples. He kissed up to your neck.
“Bet I can make you cum just by playing with these,” he said, sucking on the tender part of your chest. “Want me to show you?”
“Yes.”
Yeosang went back to fondling, sucking and licking your breasts. You clenched your thighs as you continued stroking him. Your mark radiated heat through your dress, the fire adding another layer of pleasure. Yeosang’s pierced tongue ignited the small sparks on your nipples that went to your center. He made small patterns, licked in different angles and sucked hard on them until you were squirming in his chair. It was like a drug. You kept wanting more even when he took it further. Hand working his crotch, the other slipped into his hair to hold him against one breast. Your walls started clenching for some stimulation; the wetness pooling in your thong turned your folds sticky and slippery, so you could feel them move when you squeezed your thighs. Feeling your grip on him tighten, Yeosang continued groaning against you and squeezing your breasts. You suddenly shuddered, wriggling in the seat as your orgasm hit you. In a few jerking motions, it ended.
“Good, huh?” He said, kissing your puckered nipples.
“So good,” you nodded, “My turn.”
He eventually rolled back into his seat and you felt the slight tingle in your mark on your back. All the desire in your body flared up like a firework, and every part of you felt sensitive to his touch. You got down on your knees without being told, causing Yeosang to lean back and watch you start kissing his hard bulge. His cock was right underneath the layers of denim and cloth, hot and begging for your touch. You rubbed along the thick shaft a few times before unbuckling his trousers.
“That’s what I like,” Yeosang moaned, lips parted, “A slut who does it without being told.”
He wasn’t long, but he was girthy. Flushed pink with a hot red tip, you started softly kissing the bulbous head while looking up at him. Your pussy throbbed just licking him. Like with Seonghwa, the act alone aroused you. Realizing how much he liked your breasts, you didn’t waste time in burying him between them. Yeosang shifted in his seat at this, gripping one arm rest while the other teased your nipple. Spitting on the tip, you used it to lubricate him. His dick completely disappeared between your soft mounds, the tip only just poking out each time you met his hips. The goblin prince let out strings of moans and praises while you worked him. You loved hearing the deep groans you created, the sound of them turning you on more. Soon, desperation had Yeosang holding both breasts and pushing into them himself. You slipped two fingers over your dripping cunt, spreading the mess over your velvety lips and folds.
“That’s right, baby,” he said, groaning when you took the head in your mouth. “Play with yourself for me. I want you soaked by the time I use my toys on you.”
Moaning freely now, you whimpered as you rapidly rubbed over your clit. It was too much, but somehow not enough. His precum spilled onto your tongue, and you eagerly sucked it up. So good. So sweet.
“Come on,” Yeosang said hurriedly, “Get in the house. I’m fucking you now.”
Nobody noticed you being ushered into the house behind the tent. The people inside hadn’t realized the orgy going on just a few feet from the door; too busy drinking and dancing to care. Yeosang nearly dragged you upstairs, then into a locked bedroom.
Yeosang did not hide his wealth at all. Expensive art pieces decorated the walls, with a walk-in closet full of expensive, tailored clothes. Big enough for eight people or several goblins, the bed was covered in deep plum blankets and sheets. Even with his shortness, Yeosang handled you without a problem, nearly throwing you onto his bed before jumping on top of it. You moaned as he forced your legs open and buried his face in your cunt. He threaded the thong between the smooth lips, leaving just enough cloth over your clit to leave it exposed, then licked at each side. His tongue briefly touched the sides of your clit, which had you writhing for more.
“Delicious,” he groaned, “And so wet. I’m definitely keeping you, pretty girl. Your cunt is all mine now.”
“Yeo…Yeo…” you breathed his name, grabbing your chest to squeeze them for him.
“That's right, baby doll. Say Daddy's name. I want to hear you screaming it.”
“Yeo!” you cried when he rapidly licked at it.
“My name sounds way better coming from that sweet mouth,” he groaned. “Goblin chicks are too high or too low. I like a nice medium. An instant favorite.”
He tugged the underwear upwards to tighten the fabric between your lips, creating a rubbing that pushed your hips to his face. Yeosang sucked up the juices leaking from your entrance, groaning at the taste and digging for more of it. You whined when he pulled away to tear off your thong and dress. Hunger and eagerness had the goblin tearing at the expensive silk and lace, eyes feasting on the body becoming exposed to him.
“Don’t worry, babe,” he said, “I’ll buy you a whole wardrobe of pretty clothes when we’re done here. I don’t leave my girls naked for just any guy to see.”
Since he was so much shorter, his head only reached up to your chest if he wanted to stay pressed to your pussy. He didn’t mind this, since he buried his face in them when you squeezed them together. His keenness became more obvious when he removed his own clothes and showed off his slim, lean body to you. It made you ache to touch him again. He reached to an end table, and you bit your lip when he took it out. Small, pink and egg-shaped, you had no idea what it was though you sensed its purpose.
“Open wide, baby,” Yeosang breathed, eagerly watching as your body sucked in the small toy.
In a few seconds, a sudden, light vibration started inside you. You gripped the pillows as it overwhelmed every conscious sense. Each vibrating pulse crept through to your center where you grinded up into the air. When Yeosang's tongue went back to flicking your clit, you nearly came right then.
“That….That feels so….Oh god,” you cried out, unable to handle it any longer.
Yeosang knelt up, tapping his cock on your sex before slowly slipping the toy further inside with it. Not long enough to reach fully inside, the toy made up for the rest by vibrating against your g-spot. It felt a million times better than anything you had before. Stars exploded behind your eyelids as your orgasm burst within you, Yeosangs's careful thrusts only just pressing it further on you. Yet, even after the body shattering climax you wanted more. The burning mark made you endure more of him, craving the cum he carried.
“Such a pretty girl,” Yeosang said, slipping out to withdraw the egg toy. “We're only just getting started, baby. You'll get what you need from me soon.”
He rifled through the nightstand for another toy, a wand with a ball at the end. As expected, the moment Yeosang pressed it on you, you trembled all over. The pinching sensitivity sparking from your clit brought equal measures of pleasure and pain. You moved away from the toy before Yeosang brought you down with surprising strength. He moved it side to side, cooing when you shook.
“Yeo-Yeosang!” you cried.
“How does that feel?”
“So good! Oh my god!”
“It'll feel even better soon, I promise.”
That was when he plunged himself past your walls again. His thick shaft stretched you considerably; you could feel the pressure, even if it was painless. The toy worked one side, his cock twitched and pulsed against your walls. He kept one knee up to his shoulder, your leg draping over and accentuating his small size compared to yours. Only three feet tall, he couldn’t reach for much but his toys made up for it.
When he gave your clit a break, he rolled you onto your front and pushed a small plug right to your ass. The mark branded on your back and Mingi’s spell made your body pliable to any form of pleasure he could give. It was all you felt. Pushing the silicone toy in time with his steady thrusts, you screamed into the pillow from the overpowering pleasure. Yeosang kept you pinned down as he charged forward. His small, lithe body made it easy for him to spread out and bounce on you, hips hitting your bare cheeks. Small noises and panting moans escaped him as his orgasm came.
“Ooh, baby,” he huffed, digging the plug in further as he went faster, “Such a good little whore. Are you my whore? Say it. Say you're my whore.”
“I'm your whore, Yeo,” you cried, eyes closed as you gripped the sheets. “I am.”
“Put this toy here,” he stopped to put the vibrator underneath you. Its muffled buzzing joined your frustrated whimpers. “How's that?”
“Good! It's so good!”
“You want my load, doll?”
“Yes! Yes please, Yeo! Give me your load!”
“Then make me cum,” he grunted, smacking your ass, “Make me cum and take all of it in your filthy fucking mouth.”
Neither of you lasted much longer. You sobbed into the pillow as a second wave came over you, and your cum shot out onto the bed.
“Open up,” Yeosang rolled you over and climbed up your body to your face. “Swallow it.”
You latched your mouth to the tip, sucking hard until the gooey substance painted your tongue, lips and cheeks. Gulping whatever flew in your mouth, you immediately started sucking to try getting more. Yeosang gripped the headboard tightly, rocking his hips back and forth as he cried and whined above you. Finally, he jerked out the last few droplets, moaning when they fell into your open mouth, then he finally collapsed beside you.
“Whew, that was-Hey, hey, now, what's this?”
You'd straddled him suddenly, regardless of how much space you took up. Hands on either side of his head, you began slamming yourself up and down on his cock. It'll get hard again soon. It wasn't a problem. The hunger spiraled deep, having you rocking on Yeosang who only watched in awe. You knew you should stop, yet the curse kept its grip on you.
“Was it that good, baby?” he huffed, hands on your hips. “It was so good that you want to keep going?”
“Yes! Your cock is so good! I love it so much!”
“But, I’m still soft,” he said, looking at where you both met.
“Don-Don’t care,” you whined. “I nee-need-d- it.”
It seeped itself into every part of your body. You nearly ached with the pain of need for it. You kept riding Yeosang as he grew hard within you, not stopping despite the exhaustion starting to come over you. Your body begged you to stop, yet you couldn’t. When you pulled him onto you, Yeosang held your thighs up and pounded you hard. Simply having him use you for his own pleasure fed the hunger building. The party raging outside, you’re sure somebody would eventually walk in and you hoped they did. The more, the merrier, you thought as Yeosang pressed the bullet toy to your hard nipple. This newest addition, thoughts of that pretty elf in bed with you, and Yeosang’s meaty length created another orgasm almost immediately. Yeosang filled you with his stringy semen, groaning in time with each push.
Sweat plastering thin strands of black and green to his forehead, Yeosang fell back onto the bed. You saw the tiredness in his eyes, a small satisfied smile on his face. Your own body weighed with the same sluggishness, but you still reached for his cock. The ability to fight off the curse completely left you. You could only think about his cock deep in your throat, throbbing and spilling his savory cum down it. Holding down his tiny hips, you worked him right into your mouth. Sucking the mix of your own essence and his cum off his length, you slurped the tasty beads coming out of him.
“Hey, calm down,” Yeosang said, “It’s sensitive.” He tried pushing you off, but you only started stroking him.
“Please,” you whined, licking the red tip, “One more time.”
“We can, but just give me a minute,” he chuckled, managing to get out from under you. “A guy can only go so many times,” he went over to a liquor cart where he poured himself a drink, “Plus, I got a party to go back to. A host can’t leave his guests unattended.”
“Screw those guys,” you hissed, “They don’t even like you. They’re just hoping to get in good with you so you’ll sponsor their pathetic businesses.”
He laughed, “Oof, you got fire in you, babe. I like that.” He gulped some of the amber liquid, “Come on. I’ll pick out something for you in my closet. I think I got stuff from my last girl here somewhere.”
He didn’t get it. Nobody did. The fire continued blazing even as he started rifling through the closet. You spotted the wand discarded on the bed, and immediately took it up. Instant relief buzzed through you once that vibrating head touched your overly sensitive cunt. Laying on your front, hips lifted off the bed, you grinded against the toy. Hongjoong wouldn’t stop. He’d go for as long as you wanted. You remembered the time you did it from dusk to dawn, only stopping for short periods. Something about your lover kept you going and it never hurt. Touching him, holding him close to your naked body as he sunk deep into you always brought you to orgasm. You wished it’d been him instead of Yeosang, instead of all of them. You yearned for his hands and lips. You wanted to hear his voice again, and see his face light up when he sees you. As you rutted against the toy, you longed for your boyfriend.
“Sheesh,” Yeosang said as he came back into the room, watching you shudder from your pleasure, “You can really go, huh? I’m definitely keeping you now, doll.” He put a low-cut green top and a black skirt on the bed, then walked to the door. “My boys could use a nice reward for their loyalty….”
It was heaven. Yeosang returned with a group of his personal guards, who all hooted when they saw you dripping on the bed. Keeping you on your stomach, each guard took their turn and you came every time. Sweat gleamed on your skin, matting your hair and wetting the sheets by the time they’d run through you. When the seventh guard got done with you, you were twitching and fading on the bed.
“Thanks a lot, boss!”
“You’re a real one, sir!”
“That’s some hot snatch you got there. Lucky guy.”
Their words did not bring on the shame you’d become accustomed to feeling. You felt your body slump, and you tried hiding your face from a gloating Yeosang. He gave your bottom a few delicate pats, then ordered a servant to wipe you down. The servant, a dark-haired female fairy, said nothing as you laid there. She gingerly cleaned you off, being careful with the tender parts, then offered you food and water. You had no taste for it. You only ate because she expected it. You noticed the woman’s small breasts underneath her bikini top and pictured Yeosang fucking them.
“You’ll get used to it,” she said, speaking for the first time. “It gets easier, I promise.”
She must’ve thought you didn’t want it, but you didn’t know how to explain you did. In a way, at least. You pulled on the clothes Yeosang left you, but had no desire to go downstairs. People likely heard what happened by now, and will no doubt jest about it. You stayed sitting on the bed, the musty scent of sex hanging in the air around you, and thought of Hongjoong. He wouldn’t have let this happen unless you asked. He would've fought off each and every person who tried harming you. The shield who'd protected you was somewhere off in the world while you're here suffering from this wicked curse.
You got up from the bed. Slowly, you went down back into the house. Nobody noticed you walking amongst them, despite being significantly taller than most of them. The smell of cigarettes, booze and sex started filtering through the house, and you needed to get outside. Yeosang had taken up his seat in the tent again, drinking from a glass with a girl holding a plate of food for him off to the side. You kept your distance as you waited on him to notice you. You hoped he never did.
“There's my doll!” Yeosang cheered when he spotted you. “A real prize,” he told the merchants around him, “She took all of my guards like a real champ. I could barely get her off me,” he laughed with his men. “You should've heard her! Little slut could've kept going for hours, I bet.”
The leering smirks of his companions deepened your shame. Hongjoong would've pummeled the little gremlin for speaking about you that way. You wished you hadn't lost your necklace. It would have been such a comfort now. A guard pushed you towards Yeosang, and you sit next to him. You supposed you'd play along for the moment. Not meeting anyone's eyes, you only listened to Yeosang.
“Say, how's your fleet faring these days?” One of the goblins asked Yeosang. “I heard the south's putting up some blockades in the ports.”
“We're still getting product through,” he answered. “I got a guy who's in good with the dockmaster, so I can still get stuff going through there. Yeah, supply lines are rough with the war starting up, but hey, everyone needs resources, right?”
“Whose side you taking?”
“Lord Kim, who else?” he asked. “The guy is a legend. That little southern king doesn't know who he's messing with. I'd back off if I were him.”
The name peaked your interest. “Lord Kim? Like, ‘The Dark Lord’ Lord Kim?”
“Yeah,” he said. “He's this demon lord who lives in the mountains. The guy rarely comes down.”
“And when he does, he's got this big ass dragon of his!” said one of the goblins. “The damn thing is always scaring my dogs and sheep. I can't get them to calm down.”
“I wish he'd park that thing outside the city,” said another. “It freaks me out.”
“He has a dragon?”
“Huge beast,” Yeosang nodded, sipping from his cup. “Aerion. It can spit this icy fire stuff that can turn anything instantly into a popsicle. In the war, my Pops told me he used to freeze whole armies and we'd blast through them like paper. Lord Kim isn't a guy to cross, baby, so when he comes I want you to be a good girl and bend over if he asks.”
“He's coming here?” You tried keeping the hope from your voice, covering it up with fear. You purposefully held onto him. “Really?”
“Don't get scared,” he rubbed your back. “Kim ain't like that.”
Dread mingled with the sliver of hope. Sadly, the only person who can pull you from this mess is another slave owner. You doubted Kim would be any gentler with you. Various escape plans came through your head, but none sounded successful. Those guards will fill you with bullets. Yeosang won't let you out of his sight or out of arm's reach. There are too many people to bolt through. Lord Kim might be your only way out of this after all. You regretted leaving the lycan camp now. He might have shown up there, and taken you from the pig pen.
But no, hubris fgt in your way.
“When is he coming?” you asked Yeosang, easing into his embrace and playing with a green strand of his hair.
“Tomorrow or the day after, maybe. It doesn't take him long. He just turns up when he turns up,” he replied. He nuzzled your neck, giving a soft kiss, “I won't let him take you from me, no worries there, dollface. You're Yeo's girl now, and ain't nobody getting in between us.” He planted more kisses down your neck, “Dance for me. Show my buddies what a lucky guy I am to have someone like you.”
Deciding appeasing this goblin could get you closer to your goal, you stood up and began swaying your hips. Yeosang’s eyes stayed on you as you danced to the up-tempo music. The sensual vibe flowed through you, and you moved to the beat. Yeosang is another client, that's all. Make him feel special and content, and you might get your chance.
You spent the night catering to Yeosang’s every whim. You poured him drinks. You filled his plates. You danced and stripped for him. You even helped him cheat at cards like you'd do with Vernon. Powerful men were the easiest to fool. If they feel like the self-proclaimed kings they are, you can get anything you want. Ace and Sprocket were more than happy when Yeosang showered them with money and favor.
“You're perfect,” he mewled drunkenly, watching you gulp the rest of his wine. “I've never had a slave like you before. You're an angel created by the gods just for me, for sure.”
“Maybe they're the ones who brought us together?” you suggested, leaning down to play with his gold chain. Twirling it around your finger, you said, “I feel that way, don't you?”
“Yeah,” he breathed, a fog of spirits coming from his lips. “Totally. It's not a coincidence that you show up on the night of my biggest party. The gods must've looked at me and went ‘let's give this guy a nice plaything’.” He gave a lopsided smile as he wrapped his arms around you, “Marry me.”
You laughed, “You're drunk.”
“Marry me, doll, and you'll be the Merchant Queen,” he insisted. “You'll be decked out in the finest clothes, the shiniest jewelry….you'll be driven around in the nicest rides, with a party yacht and a whole bunch of servants to serve you….You'd have me…” he put his hand up your skirt, squeezing your thigh. “In your bed at night, fucking you exactly how you deserve to be fucked. Be my wife, dollface. I promise I'll be super good to you.”
“I’d be a terrible wife,” you shook your head, laughing, “I don’t cook or clean.”
“We have people for that, babe!”
“I can’t guarantee faithfulness.”
“Me neither.”
“I don’t want children.”
“Good, they’re annoying and bring more trouble than they’re worth.” He lifted his cup for you to fill, which you generously poured wine into. Yeosang gulped, not minding what spilled from the corner of his mouth and wiped it with his sleeve. “You’re a slave, anyway. You gotta do what I say and I say that we’re getting married!” He nearly pushed you off as he stood up, raising his glass and addressing the room, “Hey everyone! I’m getting married!”
The partygoers all cheered, raising their own glasses and draining them with him. “Sels,” he called to a red-haired goblin standing by the bar, “Get the florist on the horn and tell him we’re gonna need five hundred pink and white roses! Call that dressmaker on Flint for a bride and groom fitting! And the catering company we used for Pop’s sixieth…”
Yeosang stumbled away, barking orders at the young woman who instantly grabbed a planner to write them down. You didn’t take the man seriously. Plenty of drunk men proposed to you before, and they remembered nothing the next morning. When the liquor wears off and his hangover starts, Yeosang will forget he ever had the thought. You took up your own glass, filling it to the top with wine, and then starting to gulp it. If you were going to get through this curse, you might as well pile yourself with as much booze as you could.
****
“Morning, my beautiful bride…”
You groaned at the sound of Yeosang’s soft voice. Nestled underneath layers of cotton and silk, you grasped for the last moments of your dream. It’d been Hongjoong again, laying inches away from you in your bed back home. You think it was your birthday…
“Precious angel…Time to get up now, we got places to be…”
He’d come as a surprise visit. The both of you spent the entire day together in your little room. He’d taught you how to slow dance, since you’d never done it before. To the music of your old record player, Hongjoong held you close as you both swayed in unison. You never felt so close to one person until that moment. It had been then that you knew you loved him.
“Hey! Get up!”
White light blinded you from a nearby window. You groaned, the light burning your eyes and worsening your headache. Not yet. Not when you’d gotten a perfect image of Hongjoong’s smile in your mind. You held onto it as someone yanked the covers off you.
“I’m up. I’m up,” you grumbled, rolling onto your side as your stomach started churning.
Reality finally breaking through, you opened your eyes to see Yeosang standing near his dresser. His black and green hair damp from a shower, you saw him spraying deodorant as he spoke.
“Good, get some food in you and hit the shower,” he ordered, putting down the bottle. “We got some places to be today.”
“Where?”
You sat up and realized you were naked again. Judging by the vibrator and anal plug on the nightstand, Yeosang and you took another round of sex. Pushing hair from your face, you tried recalling exactly how many times, but couldn’t conjure up a number.
“First, we’re going to the boutique in town,” he said, going into his closet. “Hattie is the best dressmaker in town. She really knows how to make a bride shine.”
“Bride?! You were serious about that?!”
“As serious as a heart attack, sweetheart,” he replied. “She’s gonna make you a queen to fit my king. Then, Sels called down that florist for us to look over floral arrangements for the big day. I decided it’s gonna be at the Oil Trap. It’s this big music hall near the ocean. The guy who owns it owes me some favors, so your hubby pulled a few strings and got us the whole place for this weekend.”
“Wait, wait, wait-”
“-Just imagine it, babe: you in your pretty dress, me in a new suit, dancing the night away on the seaside. Ha, it’s the wedding my Ma always hoped I’d have. I’m having Sharpy Shrimp’s cater the event. Hexel is gonna do our cake, and she’s got some great ideas for it. I’m thinking of a seven-tier with different flavors. It can sit on top of a small fountain of champagne or wine or something fancy like that. It can have some little lace or fluff or flowers around it too. Make it classy, you know?-”
“-Hey.”
You wrapped the blanket around yourself and walked to his closet. Yeosang pulled on a loose silk shirt with sequined blue flames, fixing it around his shoulders as he continued.
“-Then there’s the guest list. Anybody who is anybody is coming,” he buttoned up the shiny shirt, then grabbed a black blazer. “You’re going to like my family. They’re a riot, with or without booze. Ooh, and the booze is going to be top notch!”
“I never said ‘yes’ and I don’t want to get married,” you said firmly.
He grabbed a gold chain from nearby, giving a snarky expression. “You say that like you got some kind of choice.”
“I’m not marrying you.”
“Yeah, you are. You’re a special girl, and I’m not letting you go so easy. Making you my wife guarantees nobody takes you from me,” he said. “Now, stop being difficult and get cleaned up. I want you downstairs in twenty, and that’s me being generous.”
You glared at him. For the briefest moment, you thought of grabbing one of his fancy gold statues and slamming it over his head. Why did every man you meet seek some way to own you? Why did they treat you as if you were their property? Not even the men back home acted in such a way. Anger shook in your fists, causing them to ball into the blanket wrapped around your middle. You glimpsed at the golden horse set on top of a dresser table.
“Honey pot, go get ready now.”
No, killing him won’t do any good. If Yeosang is dead, Lord Kim might decide not to come. “Would Lord Kim be coming?” you asked him.
“Of course! It’s considered an insult not to invite him! Besides, he's stopping by sometime soon anyways.”
“Today?”
“Maybe? The guy never says when he’s coming. He just shows up.”
Sounded like someone you knew. Hongjoong said he liked being the element of surprise. It made your nights together more magical, he said. Now, you'd never have those again.
Defeated, you walked away from the closet to a bathroom across the hall. The stink of alcohol and spunk clung to your skin and hair, and you could use a hot shower. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you couldn’t help taking a look at the mark on your back. It’d gone from thick, burning welts to thin lines in a matter of days. You reached to touch it, and realized how Yeosang might have missed it. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise. If nobody could see it, then it’s not a problem. You turned on the shower in the corner, then stepped inside once the water turned hot.
Rinsing off, you stepped out and grabbed a fluffy towel. A small shadow caught your attention and you looked to the window, almost hoping to see Hongjoong perched there.
“Oh, hey bud,” you said, seeing the crow there instead. “Sorry, I don’t have any food right now. You picked the wrong place to meet me.” You started drying off, “I worried something happened to you after Mingi’s camp. I didn't see you at the lycan den. Then again, you probably stayed away so you didn’t become an appetizer,” you snorted a laugh. “Things have been kind of fast around here,” you finished quickly drying off and put the towel back around you, “Like, I just found out that demon guy is coming here. He's the one who can help me with this stupid curse; then I can go home.”
You sat on the couch by the window, head resting on the window sill. Tin City stretched for miles across the small seaside coast. You saw large rigs sailing in and out of the far off port, different colored flags signaling their cargo. Hongjoong had told you all about the goblin merchant business. Cutthroat and sleazy, he said to trust every goblin with a barrel of salt. You would admit their technological and engineering advances beat any other place you've been. They were driving cars and riding motorcycles along the metal streets. You saw large robotic guards patrolling the streets, clunking along stiffly and repeating the same phrase “Serve and Protect.” If Lord Kim lifted your curse, you wouldn't mind hanging around the city.
“This isn't such a terrible place,” you reasoned. “At least I'm not in chains. Maybe being a wife to a goblin prince won't be such a bad thing.” The crow squawked in protest and you giggled. “Okay, so there's no trees but I can make a nice hang out for you.” When he jumped around, flapping wings, you said, “I swear. I wouldn't leave my traveling buddy hanging.” You looked back out the window, “Maybe I should just play along until Lord Kim shows  It can't hurt. Yeosang only seems partially terrible. He's honestly no different than Vernon. They both have big heads and big egos. All I have to do is play into it, and let the rest happen, right?”
“Who are you talking to in there?” Yeosang knocked on the door, a bit peeved.
“Nobody,” you called back. “See you around, bud.”
You left the bathroom to find Yeosang looking up at you with hands on his hips. He peered past you as if looking for a second person. When he didn't see anyone, he gave you a suspicious look before speaking.
“Sels got you a nice outfit to wear out,” he said. “I ain't gonna have my girl walking around looking trashy.”
“That was nice of her.”
“She's my assistant. She has to do it.” His eyes landed on your chest again, and he started playing with the side of your towel. “Let me have a little lookie before we go, hm?”
“Aren't we going to be late?” you said, taking a deep breath as he slipped a hand inside.
“Yeah, but so what? I'm the Merchant Prince. What are they gonna do?” He gently tugged the towel from your hands, and his jaw dropped when it fell. “Damn, and to think in a few days these babies will be all mine.” He yanked on your wrist to make you bend over him, and he gave one a soft lick.
“A-a few days?” you stammered. You'd definitely be way gone if that was true.
“Well yeah,” he said, gently cupping one. “Weddings ain't finished in a day, baby,” the stud of his tongue piercing rolled over your nipple. “If you want a nice bash, you gotta do it right.”
“But, I thought you'd want me as soon as possible.”
“Don't be so hasty, baby,” he insisted, “Your hubby isn't gonna stop fucking you. Let me prove it to you right now.”
He pulled you into the bedroom where you laid on the bed. The tightness and burning you'd learned to endure returned as he climbed up your body.
“My pretty baby,” he cooed, kissing your neck. “You're gonna be all mine soon.”
“Aren't I already yours, Hubby?”
This made Yeosang tremble in your arms. He groaned softly when you kissed him, tongue sliding into his mouth and hands in his hair. Hugging him was like hugging a large stuffed animal.
“You bought me, remember?” you asked in one of his large ears. “Two thousand gold, if I remember correctly.”
“Yeah,” he said, groping both your breasts as he grinded into you. “And this is worth every cent. Open up for me. I want to taste you again.”
“Should we? You've seen how horny I get.”
“We got the whole day, baby,” he said. “I want you now.” He moved down your body to your hips, pecking along your pelvis to your mound. “I've never had a girl who can go as long as you.”
“You just get me that hot,” you sighed. “You and those fun toys.”
His chuckle was muffled by the lips in his mouth. You whimpered, feeling the soft suckles he did to each side, followed by a long lick. The side of his tongue barely grazed your clit, which began to throb from the sensual touches. You knew you'd be thrown onto another uncontrollable whirl of desire if he kept going. The effort it took to suppress it became harder and harder to maintain. Yeosang’s pierced tongue worked its magic, swirling and flicking until you were shuddering in his arms.
“That’s it, baby,” he moaned, shaking his head with your clit in his mouth. “Lay back and enjoy my tongue for a bit. If you marry me, dollface, you get me whenever you want.”
“Yes…” you said through a restrained moan. “Yes, I'd love that.”
“Get the dildo out,” he said, “That big green one you couldn't get enough of last night.”
You didn't hesitate to reach into the nightstand. As long as Seonghwa had been, you felt excited simply holding it. Locking eyes with Yeosang, you gingerly slid the tip in your mouth. You sucked the smooth toy slowly, working it into your mouth inch by inch. He kept sucking, grinding into the mattress as his cock grew harder. Soon, you handed the wet toy to him, and he pushed the very tip inside. He brushed his thumb over your drenched clitoris while he continued sliding it. Once full of it, you knew you were a goner.
The toy finally did its best feature: it whirled and vibrated. Yeosang kept nestled inside with a strip of tape from a bed drawer, only driving you further insane. When he scooted up to your chest, cock springing out of his pants, you opened your mouth willingly. Not big or heavy, you had no trouble letting the little goblin thrust in and out of your mouth. He held onto the headboard, almost bouncing on your face. His low grunts matched your stifled moans. You hooked your arms around his small thighs, forcing him into your throat as you hummed around it. You'd done this last night and you'd both nearly came from it.
“I love this pretty mouth,” he groaned, pulling out to tap it over your lips and tongue.
“And it's yours.”
“And it's mine.”
It only took a few more pushes before you came. Body vibrating, muscles clenching from the pleasure, you rode it out to the end. Right then, Yeosang’s dick pulsed and went further into your mouth as his cum burst like a jelly candy. You eagerly swallowed the globs falling into your throat, groaning for more.
“Hubby,” you whined when he pulled away, “Let's go just one more time, please? You didn't fuck me.”
“We can do that later on. Put a lid on this for now, and get dressed.”
He fixed himself up, but you couldn't stop. Forcing yourself to stand, you found the outfit Sels got for you. Lavender tank top and skin tight leather skirt with a gold chain belt, you figured most of your outfits will consist of pieces like this. You didn't care. It only gave Yeosang more access to your holes. You found the slightest brush on it ignited the arousal you didn't get to douse out. The urge to quickly use one of his toys before going out, but you knew to delay him will agitate him. Vernon was the same way.
“You look smoking hot, babe,” Yeosang approved of your outfit. “Every guy is gonna be drooling over you.”
“You just gave them another reason to envy you, Boss,” said Sels.
“Ha, true.”
He led you to a small, red car parked outside the door. A goblin opened your side, and you climbed in. A bit cramped in leg room, you supposed it wasn't so bad.
You spent the entire day out with Yeosang, and your mark burned most of the time.
In the boutique, wearing a mermaid style dress made of sheer and lace fabric, you tempted him into a slow ride in the dressing room. The feeling of his cock rocking deep inside your cunt had you trembling in minutes.
At the florist shop, he fingered you subtly as he talked about flower arrangements with the shopkeeper. You struggled to stay still. His fingers worked your pussy way too well. You both decided on white and pink roses tied with strings of pearls and diamonds.
You gave him another blow job outside the bakery in the car. He held onto the door and back of the seats tightly as you firmly sucked him. Your hand and mouth both sliding over his dick, you shivering when he finished. “Your cum tastes better than any dumb cake,” you told him as you wiped your mouth. The cake was exactly how Yeosang wanted: a seven tier with a tiny green fountain at the base with every tier a different flavor.
He took you from behind at the catering office. You'd teased him the entire way there, showing off the breasts he liked so much and putting his hand on one. His cock might not reach fully to your g spot, but he made up for that with his fingers on your clit. You walked into the catering place with his cum smearing your thighs. A reasonable spread of exotic and local dishes was agreed upon, with each meal better than the last.
“You are something else, you know that?” He laughed when you returned to the mansion. “I love it though.”
He kissed you, and you returned it deeply. “I can't help it,” you said between kisses, “You make me all hot and bothered. I can't wait to have it all the time.”
“I won't get any work done with you around, will I?”
“Nope.”
You hoped to see an unfamiliar figure in the mansion when you came back. Lord Kim might have arrived while you were away. Unfortunately, there were no visitors waiting, only Sels with her daily profit reports. You decided to put on one of the swimsuits Yeosang bought you, and take a dip in the pool. If you're going to wait on him, you might as well do it in style.
****
It was a nightmare. Two days passed since you arrived in Tin City, and you felt yourself slipping. You'd wake up in places you didn't remember going, naked and aching for more. Whenever Yeosang and you slept together, you craved more and more. It became an itch that you couldn't scratch. The goblin ended up having to restrain you when he wasn't home. Everything and everyone looked good. From Sels in her tight blouses and small shorts to the horse statue you grinded on regularly, you found yourself caving. The need to escape no longer crossed your mind. You only wanted stimulation, any kind you could get.
“Yes, yes, yes! Fuck me, Topaz. Fuck me as hard as you can!”
You whined as you bent over a lounge chair by the pool. Behind you, huffing and puffing was one of Yeosang’s guards. You'd been playing with yourself when he passed by, and didn't pass up the chance at his boss's girl's pussy. The shame you might have felt did not matter. You no longer felt it. His cock pulsating within you drove you wild, and you started pushing back into him. After he finished, you took on another passing guard who didn't complain when you pulled his dick out for him.
“Boss is a lucky fella,” he cackled, holding your head with both hands as he thrusted, “I'd kill to have a horny bitch like you on my arm.”
It was never enough. When you finished going through three more guards, your body finally collapsed onto the chair. Sticky and sweaty, you laid there limply as the men walked away from you. You could go even longer than before. The hunger didn't stop after three or four times anymore. The curse's progression occasionally concerned you in those moments between flare ups, but not enough to urge an escape. On your back, you reached out for a fruit platter next to you though you had no desire for food. The strawberry burst in your mouth, but you didn't enjoy it. You thought about the salty taste still on your tongue. Disgusted with yourself, you still scooped what leaked out of you and put it to your lips.
By your fourth day in Tin City, the haze came. Forgetfulness was one of the main symptoms, and you felt it most after sex. Gasping for air after another round with Yeosang and two girls named Peggy and Twix, you forgot how you'd gotten there. The memory remained shrouded in a thick fog as Peggy poured drinks. You'd been in the private lounge, discussing something. What? The wedding maybe? That's all Yeosang talked about since the official announcement. You closed your eyes to try picturing the scene, but only made out vague details. Visions of you, Peggy and Twix working on an overstimulated Yeosang came in blurs. Hands caressing bodies, limbs becoming so entangled you couldn't tell who was who, and moans filling the bedroom came through.
“Here, sugar,” Peggy, purple-haired and green, handed you a small goblet. “It's Yeo’s finest stuff.”
You drained the glass, but felt sick by the force it took. The curse would take over, but honestly, who cared anymore?
Sels tried going over the guest seating with you the following day. She drew up a diorama of the Oil Trap's banquet hall with little circles and squares for the tables. You tried focusing on names and spaces, listening to her stories about the different relationships. But, you only thought about how she'd look with a dildo in her cunt. As she explained why Crizzo and Tizzy don't get along anymore, you slipped your hand onto her lap.
“Hey, little lady, don't you get any ideas,” she giggled playfully, pushing your hand away. “I ain't like the fellas around here. I won't just go down on you because you want me to.”
“Then tell me what I have to do to get in those panties, Sels.”
She gasped at your vulgarity, a pink tinge on her cheeks. “YN, Yeo won't like it.”
“So?”
“He's my boss. You're his fiance. It ain't right.”
She didn't get it. You longed to taste her lips, and feel her tightness around your fingers. You needed someone, anyone.
"YN…" she gazed over your  glossy eyes, "Do you remember anything about this morning?"
You furrowed your brow, forcing yourself to conjure up some small detail. "I remember waking up next to Yeo and someone."
 "Who?"
"I don't know. Does it matter? It feels good. Don't you want to feel good, Sels?" The burning started coming right as Yeosang appeared.
“Didn't I fuck you enough this morning, chicklet?” He asked in disbelief, huffing as he set down two table cloth samples.
“You did,” you said, turning to him. “But, Sels is pretty too. You should do us both….right now….on the table….please, Hubby?”
You started pulling at his shirt before he stopped you. “Come on now, we have work to do. This wedding ain't gonna plan itself.”
“Yeo-Yeo,” you pouted, giving him a soft kiss, “I'm-”
“-I know you are,” he cut you off. “We can do it later, if you're so damn horny, but for right now we have a seating chart to make.”
You resented the pair the rest of the time, only nodding when they addressed you. You thought Yeosang liked you being insatiable. He'd been happy about it when you met. All of a sudden you're “too horny”? What did that even mean? When they agreed on the seating arrangements, you got up from the table and went to your bedroom. There, you fiddled with the vibrator for hours, fucking yourself dumb and sensitive with the whirling, buzzing toy. Yeosang came in after the sixth orgasm, slightly aroused but overall upset at the mess on his sheets.
“We just changed these,” he grumbled. You didn't stop going despite your aching hands and wrists. When he pulled the toy away, you flexed them to stretch the taut muscles and bones. “You're something else, girl,” he said irritably. “Really something.”
The sixth day was even worse. You suddenly didn't know what you were doing. Your body only enjoyed the pleasure, your mind forced into submission by your desires. The boutique owner, altering your dress one more time, yelped in surprise when you took his cock in your hand and stroked him. You'd gone far enough to seduce the troll escorting you home. In the front seat of Yeosang’s car, you rode the sweaty, bulging grunt like a horse. The spaces in between were becoming shorter and fewer. The sex lasted longer. The pool floats weren't safe either, being grinded on in the middle of the pool. You couldn't stop it. It became all you thought about, all you needed.
“Babe, you should eat something,” Yeosang said that night, actually worried for you.
“I'd love to be eating you,” you crooned, reaching for his belt buckle.
“No, none of that. Eat.”
Sels had to feed you herself as ordered by Yeosang. The food tasted bland and dry, no matter the dish. You couldn't find the interest in eating anymore.
“You really think you should marry this girl, Yeo?” A friend asked him the night before the wedding.
Yeosang had tied you to a chair during dinner rehearsals. Eight days. This torture had been going on for eight days. You squirmed in place, finding friction and openly moaning. Drool fell from your lips when someone passed a banana split across the table. The whipped cream on the long banana gave you images of something better covered in cream. The brisket sandwiches, baskets of fries, mozzarella sticks, pasta bowls, barbecue chicken, creamy mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and other foods did not entice you in the slightest. The wine, spirits and beer being served were invisible to you. You only sought the delicious taste and feeling of something between your legs.
“We already paid for everything,” Yeosang said. his voice miles away even though he sat beside you. “I don't know what the hell is wrong with her.”
“I'd cut my losses and sell her off,” he replied.
“Lord Kim might be able to salvage the situation, sir,” Sels said. “He is a demon. He could help you.”
“Maybe…if the bastard would show up already…”
You started bouncing on air, wanting so badly to have something in you. The name did nothing for you now. You didn't care. Nothing mattered anymore. With Sels’s help, you managed back to your room where you nearly dragged her into bed with you. She only escaped because Yeosang pulled her away in time. This resorted to you humping a pillow, tongue out and waiting for Yeosang’s cock.
“What he fuck is going on with you, babe? I get being horny but…”
“Shut up and get those pants off, goblin boy.”
“Nah, I'm good.”
“Please!” you said, tears in your eyes. “I'm ready for you. You can just go inside.”
“No, I'm alright. Look, I got this stuff right here that'll help you sleep. You haven't slept in two days, babydoll, and we got a wedding tomorrow.”
You whined at the slight sting in your arm. For once, you finally felt peace.
***
“I don't have a choice, Sels. She's out of control. I can't keep drugging her. I mean, how's that gonna look? Prince Yeo can't get his bitch out of her heat, so she goes looking elsewhere. I already tell people I let her do it for now, but what about when we're married?”
“I said you should wait until Lord Kim arrives. He might have a solution. His bird came with-"
“-Nah, nah, I can't have her around him. She'll scare him off and then I lose the biggest deal we've gotten since my Pop was in charge. She's gonna have to go.”
“Where?”
“I got some friends from the canyon coming by for trade talks. I'll throw her in with the trade, and see if their Chieftain will take her.”
 "But, boss, I got-"
"-Can't believe this whole thing has gone down the drain."
****
Standing up, you felt the salty sea breeze hitting your hot skin. It cooled down the constant flames burning through you for mere moments. Two guards had chained your wrists together again, and one led you down the stairs and out of the house. It took you several minutes to realize you had been taken out of the bedroom.
“Where are we going?” you asked one of them. “To the Oil Trap?”
“Nah, not the Oil Trap, sweetface,” the guard tugging your chains said. “Yeosang called off your wedding. You're a product now.”
“Huh?”
Neither of them elaborated. They dragged you to a cage hooked up to a wagon. Yeosang stood next to it, signing a clipboard and passing it to Sels. He gave you a quick glance, nodding his approval.
"Yeah, this will do," he said, sounding dejected. "I can't believe I'm out two grand. I paid two grand for a crazy snatch. I feel robbed."
"You want us to find the loser who sold her to you, boss?" One of the guards asked as he forced you into the cage.
"Yeah. Find those two and bring them to me. They're gonna pay for cheating me," he glared. He hopped into the cage with you, and your mark tingled. He sat on the opposite side of the small cage, examining you from afar. "We were supposed to get married today. What am I gonna tell everyone? They all came here dressed to the nines, hoping to get loaded, and now I gotta tell them my fiance ran out on me. Do you know how that's gonna make me look, doll? I got a rep around here. I can't have a crazy bitch ruining that for me."
Your limbs became cinder blocks that were a struggle to carry, and you found it hard to remain upright for more than a few minutes at a time. Being thrown into the cage was a blessing, since now you could rest. You tried remembering how they got you downstairs. You didn't remember being woken up or anyone calling your name. You simply woke up already standing, cuffed and shackled. Last night? You couldn't recall that either. Peggy and Twix. Was that last night or the night before? And Topaz? How long ago was it since that happened? The high of sex wore off from the drug Yeosang gave you, but now the rocking cage brought it back.
"Bright side, Kim ain't shown up yet, so he won't see you hanging around," he continued. "Two grand, plus the forty I spent on this wedding. You better be glad I got connections at the bank, otherwise you'd be making that money back another way."
The slight vibrations awoke the mark on your back once more. Moving your legs apart, you started rubbing in slow circles. The pliable folds became slick in minutes, and your sliding fingers over your clit drove you wild.
"The flowers, the DJ, the catering, the hall, the booze, the drugs, the photographer, cinematographer, the honeymoon boat, the limo, the guest favors, security...All wasted." He turned to you, "Maybe we can salvage the situation by having it anyways. Everyone loves a good party. I can just tell people it's a theme party. Everybody loves a-Are you kidding me? Even here?"
"I can't help it," you whined, spreading the lips to show him your swollen clit. "It feels good."
Yeosang gulped thickly, eyes falling to your hand. He licked his lips at the small bud being rubbed with a single finger. "Oh yeah?"
You nodded. "Come play with me," you slunk lower in the corner, "One more time?"
"Well, it does look good all wet like that...I suppose… " he began crawling towards you. "Give me a little taste, babe."
Nestled in front of you, Yeosang buried his face right to your pussy. Tongue lashing at your clit, you mewled at every swipe. You slipped a hand into his hair to keep him close, your body burning from the building tension. You imagined him doing this forever, taking you however he wanted and spilling his cum all over you. Visions of Yeosang using his hands, mouth, toys and cock brought you right to the edge. Your hands held onto the crossing bars of your cage to keep you grounded as he sucked the leaking juices. Right when you started to tremble, Yeosang pulled away.
"You're cumming on my dick this time," he groaned, pulling out his cock. "Keep rubbing that clit for me."
You did as he said while he shoved his cock into you. Pure bliss. It was better than any drink or drug he could give you. Even when your orgasm hit you, egged on by your rubbing and his pounding, Yeosang didn't stop. People the car passed noticed you both whenever you came to a light, and stopped to stare. You welcomed it. You held one of your legs up so a crowd saw him stretching you apart. When he pulled you onto him, his cock ramming up into you, they cheered before the car moved on.
“Hey, Yeo!" A goblin called at another light, "Where can I find her? She looks good."
"She can really ride," his friend pointed out. "I'll pay a hundred for the whole thing."
"Too bad I made the deal prematurely," he said. "Maybe you could have made back all that money for me. You would have liked it anyway. You could have been a little money maker."
"Keep me, " you whined, whirling your hips around, "And you can make plenty off me."
If it meant you got more cum, you didn't care.
"Sorry, dollface. I promised to throw you in as part of a deal. I can't go back on my word. Now, make your hubby cum one more time."
Several short thrusts later, Yeosang was tightly gripping your hips and harshly rutting into you. The spurts of cum filling you did not feel like enough. As he came down, you kept grinding to get him hard again.
“We're almost there,” he said, pushing you off him. “You can get fucked by your new master and his entire tribe if you want.”
“But I want you,” you pulled him close and reached for his groin before he could zip it back up.
“No means no, doll.”
“Come on, don't be like that. You know you want more, so give it to me.”
Yeosang sighed irritably, then withdrew a syringe from his pocket. In a quick pinch to your neck, you slowly felt yourself falling down a big hole. It swallowed you at once and the work turned dark.
****
“What's wrong with her, Kang?”
“What? What do you mean? There ain't nothing wrong with her.”
“Then why is she drugged and chained in a cage?”
“She ain't drugged. She's just sleeping, is all, and the chains and cage are for transport convenience.”
“This is how you would transport your bride?”
“Bride? This one? Pfft, no way. I'm not marrying her.”
“Then who are you marrying?”
“Um, uh, well….Sels! My assistant, Sels. She and I have been sweethearts for years, and I thought it was time to pop the question, you know? I found this one in the auction house, and she's been more trouble than she's worth. I thought a big Orc chief like yourself could straighten her out.”
“....Is this the one, Warchief?” a voice said in a hushed whisper above you.
“I believe so. She's exactly how he described, brand and all,” another voice replied. “You're making her part of our deal?’
“Yes! Think of it like the cherry on top of a nice chocolate cake!”
“Then it's settled, Kang. Don't make me regret this.”
“You won't, pal….Here, let me throw in these sedatives for free. She can get kind of rowdy, and these seem to work on her for a while.”
****
A/N: hey, a deal that might just turn out well for YN. Yes, the goblins are a total rip off of World of Warcraft goblins lmao I love their version of them and Yeosang as a scheming little horny goblin prince sounded hot. We're getting closer and closer to the end, hope y'all stick around for it <3

In which Haksu loses. FEATURING: Kang Haksu, Lee Taein, Yoon Mingeun, Andrew Han WORD COUNT: 3.7k SETTING: November 2024 NOTES: The conclusion of Haksu’s latest trial/tribulation. My knowledge of trials and law in general comes from 1. Ace Attorney 2. Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer and 3. half an episode of Matlock (2024) so there are likely inaccuracies but I’m going to pretend they don’t exist because I don’t know what they are.
"I'm really scared, Oppa." Eunmyeong sniffles into her coffee that you paid for.
You slouch in the seat across from her, hands tucked into the pocket of the garishly neon green hoodie you borrowed from Mingeun, who in turn received it as a gag gift from Eunsu. You, Kang Haksu of idol group Fable, would never be spotted out in public in such an ugly and unflattering color, and that's what gives you confidence in the disguise. You have nowhere private to meet her, because it turns out Eunmyeong really did move to Gunsan. It makes your stomach roll every time you spend longer than thirty seconds thinking about it. So you do your best not to think about it.
"I know," you say sullenly.
You had been the first to tell Eunmyeong of her impending court case. It surprised you. Was there no policy to let someone know when they were going to find themself as a defendant? And if Taein is pressing criminal charges, shouldn't someone arrest her?
There's nothing you can do about it now.
"I'm not sure why Taein-nim is doing this," you say. You could reassure her that you had no part in this, which would be true, but ultimately meaningless.
"I didn't do anything," Eunmyeong says. She's beginning to sound dangerously close to tears. The ice in her iced coffee continues to melt.
That's not true, but you say, "I know," just to support her. You make a conscious effort to keep yourself from biting your bottom lip. You know no one approves of your relationship with her. No one, except your parents, that is, who continue to ask you how things are going with the new young woman from church. Eunmyeong splits her time between Seoul and Gunsan, another fact that you try very hard not to think about. When you see her in Seoul, it's not nearly as bad. You can slip into almost the same relationship as idol and dedicated fan.
"I'm so happy you support me, Oppa," she says. She might have been saying something else alongside it, but you weren't paying attention.
Your response is automatic, ingrained into you as a side effect of your occupation. "You've always supported me. I want to do the same for you, however I can."
Your words are hollow, but Eunmyeong doesn't seem to mind, immediately brightening at your words. You almost expect her to ask you to be her boyfriend again. She's asked it a few times before, but each time, you've skirted around a real answer, until she dropped the question.
At those times, you returned to Fable's dorm after, suddenly fearful of the consequences of angering her. You'd spend a sleepless night or two wondering if your career will be over in the morning with the breaking news of your supposed relationship. Then you text her back and arrange another meeting.
You try not to text her too much. You're aware of the paper trail it leaves. But when you take too long to respond, she gets worried, and so you reluctantly type message after message, digging your own grave deeper and deeper.
"Thank you so much, Oppa," she's saying the next time you start listening to her again.
She's posing one of your photocards next to her drink. You do your best to lean out of the frame of the picture you know is coming. You also try to tug your hood further over your eyes, just in case any of the other patrons make the connection between the man in the pictures in front of Eunmyeong and the person sitting directly across from her.
"If you support me, everything will turn out for the best," she continues optimistically, staring at her phone. Or rather, staring at your image through her phone.
You haven't made your mind up yet about how she seems to prefer the image of you over the real you. On one hand, the you on camera isn't exactly real. It's a snapshot of you at a certain point in time, portraying yourself in a certain way. On the other hand, what does the you on camera have to offer that the real you doesn't? She likes the real you enough to have introduced herself to your parents. But the more you speak to her, the more she seems interested in the picture-perfect, camera image of you.
Every passing minute in such a public place sets you further on edge. Eunmyeong either doesn't notice or doesn't care. Her nails tap against her phone screen, probably as she posts her pictures to Twitter. You sink further into your seat, and pull out your phone to check her account. Just as you expected, there’s a picture of you in front of her drink. You zoom in and take a closer look over the background. The photo is mostly of her drink and your photocard and the table, and it gives the illusion that she’s alone.
She shows no signs of wanting to leave any time soon, so you resign yourself to a tense and restless indeterminable amount of time trying to hide in the almost nonexistent shadows of the brightly lit cafe.
Tumblr media
You don't go to the trial. Taein doesn't either, which comes as a surprise to you. It's his entertainment company and his name associated with the prosecution. You come to the conclusion that he must trust the prosecutor a lot.
He's a man named Cho Hangil. You pried his name out of Taein a few days ago, searching for any other information on the case. You like doing research. You like knowing things. It makes you feel a little more like you're in control of the situation, despite the fact that you haven't ever been in control of this situation.
This is all to say that you learned this is the first case Cho Hangil has prosecuted in fifteen years. Granted, he won his last case, and the case before that, but he's since transitioned into the supposedly less stressful entertainment law.
You brought this fact up to Taein, who looked at you weirdly and immediately dismissed your concerns. The case was nearly airtight, he assured you. You're not sure if that's the outcome you want. What you want is for everything to go back to the way it was before. Back when Eunmyeong didn't really know you, and when she didn't know your parents. Back when she was just an overly familiar face.
You're thinking about all of this when Mingeun pops his head into your room—without even knocking—and asks if you want to join him in dragging Andrew out of his studio to see the sun for once in his life.
"I didn't know you were allowed outside," you tell him.
He gives you one of his customary scowls. "I'm not a house pet."
He doesn't retract his invitation, so you agree to accompany him.
You discover Andrew is entirely unwilling, just as you expect. He doesn't hiss like he's afraid of the light when you all finally step outside, which you find rather disappointing. He does refuse to go further than the convenience store a couple blocks away.
The ten-minute walk is somehow enough time for Andrew and Mingeun to devolve into a senseless argument about someone from The Midas Touch.
“He's going to replace you if you keep mentoring him,” Mingeun insists.
“You're paranoid,” Andrew argues back. “He’s the main producer of his group. It's part of my job to help him.”
You don't know who they're arguing about, and at this point, you're not going to ask.
By the time you reach the rooftop, the two of them have settled into their usual stony silence. You thought they got along well. It seems for every step forward, they take two back.
So you change the subject. “My sasaeng’s trial is today,” you say with a shiver that has nothing to do with Eunmyeong and everything to do with the cold November wind whipping across the top of the building.
“Good,” Mingeun says, with a viciousness that surprises you. Through a mouthful of his sandwich he adds, “Fuck her.”
“Is this the girl you’re dating?” Andrew asks. You wish he was less observant. You haven’t told the rest of Fable everything about Eunmyeong, just enough for them to know that if anyone ever says they were dating you it’s not true and much more complex than that.
“We’re not dating. She regularly threatens to ruin my life.”
“That sounds familiar,” Mingeun says. “I know someone who did something similar to be an idol.”
Andrew nods in agreement, pushing back his hair with the back end of his chopsticks. He's using them to eat precisely one potato chip at a time.
You hate that they only agree with one another when they gang up on you. As much as it pains you, you don’t have a good rebuttal, because Mingeun is right. You glare at him over sips of your soda. You’re the only one not eating, because your stomach churns with thoughts of Eunmyeong’s trial, and there’s no way you can keep food down at the same time. The convenience store cola is tasteless and nearly flat.
You join them in their separate silences for a few minutes, scuffing your shoes against the concrete.
“I have to get back to work,” Andrew says eventually.
"What are you working on?" you ask, despite already knowing the answer. Andrew won't tell you until he's done. He won't tell anyone, except maybe Jaeseop. The only issue with that is that Jaeseop isn’t here right now. And Intak is in charge of Fable’s next album. You’re not sure what that leaves for Andrew.
“Something different.”
You wait for more of an explanation, but it appears he has nothing more to say. He stands, crumpling his chip bag in one hand. You watch Mingeun’s gaze follow him, but he doesn’t protest. If anything, you think, Mingeun agrees with him. They’re more alike than either of them would admit.
“I should go too,” you say, if only to say something. You don’t have anywhere to go besides back to your phone screen, restlessly waiting for any new information on the trial.
Mingeun stops you. “Was this your idea? You don’t seem enthusiastic about it.”
You think about lying to him, but he’s always been better at lying than you, and he’d probably call you out on it. In the background, the hinges of the rooftop door make a terrible squealing sound as Andrew forces it open.
“No,” you answer truthfully. You could tell him more: the very thought of it makes you sick, but the thought of Eunmyeong at large, befriending your parents, also makes you sick. “Taein-nim doesn’t tell me anything. She likes me. She’s never hurt me.”
From the questioning look Mingeun gives you, it seems like he doubts you. “She doesn't have to physically hurt you. What about your mental health? You looked like an asshole in that TMT video with Kiyoung-hyung, by the way.”
That's not real, and you didn't see any comments about your asshole behavior in that TMT video. You dismiss his concerns. He’s looking out for you, but you can look out for yourself. “It's fine.”
"If you say so," he says in the dispassionate tone of voice that you've now come to associate with arguments he knows he's lost, or conversations he doesn't want to have anymore. This is likely the latter. You weren't really arguing.
He pushes the last, oversized bite of his sandwich into his mouth and chews furiously. He stands before he even swallows, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “Are you gonna go back or…?”
“I’ll stay.” You’re freezing, and you have to constantly switch which hand is holding your drink so you can tuck the other one into your pocket, but you want to see Taein and you don’t want Mingeun to tag along. He seems bored, likely as a result of being cooped up in the apartment all the time.
He shrugs. “Let me know when you win.”
It’ll be Taein’s win, not yours, but you agree.
Tumblr media
The trial lasts two days. Taein texts you at the end of the second day, terse and succinct, She won. This is clearly disappointing to Taein, but you haven’t decided how you feel about it. You assume everything will return to normal, or at least the new normal your relationship with Eunmyeong has solidified into. While you remain lost in your thoughts, scrolling through social media and pretending the rest of the world outside your bed doesn’t exist, Taein calls you. You decline. You already know the outcome of the case. What else does he have to tell you?
He calls again. You ignore him again. Eunmyeong texts, gushing about the good news. You grit your teeth, roll over in bed, and pretend to be happier than you actually are. It’s not hard.
Someone knocks on your bedroom door. You ignore that too. Then Daewoong’s voice comes through the flimsy wood. “I know you’re in there, Haksu. Answer your damn phone.”
You’re planning on ignoring him too, when Taein calls you for the third time, mere seconds later. You scramble for your earbuds so you can hold two conversations at once. Eunmyeong’s incoming messages are all insipid and vapid as they usually are, but you read them anyway. She wants to see you again, like she always does.
You finally answer Taein’s call. “Hello, Haksu,” he says almost immediately.
You don’t respond, because you don’t have much to say to him. He talks enough for two people, anyway. You sit back and let him talk, idly composing a response to Eunmyeong.
“I haven’t been completely transparent with you about the details of the case. Now that a verdict has been reached, I want you to know the full story.” His words are calm and measured, without a hint of emotion. He continues on.
“As you know, Hangil-ssi and I began the investigation in the spring of this year. It was brought to our attention by the Gunsan police, who in turn were investigating based on the diagnosis of the staff at the hospital where your father was being treated for his fall. They were the first to suspect foul play.” He pauses, as if waiting for you to digest his words.
You finally find your voice and take advantage of the silence to say, “You don’t think my father fell.” Your text to Eunmyeong remains unsent, the cursor blinking in the middle of your sentence.
“No. We think he was pushed."
The pieces begin to click into place. "And you think Eunmyeong did it."
"Is that what you call her?" Taein sounds almost amused. “To be honest, Haksu, I expected you to figure it out sooner.”
Now that he's telling you everything, it becomes a bit more obvious. When your father was first hospitalized, you dropped everything to go home. It was during that visit, when you and your mother were both unsure of whether or not he would make a full recovery, that you met Eunmyeong in person for the first time. But your parents knew her when you went home for Seollal, which means she planned it months in advance. You think you might throw up.
Taein’s voice distracts you. “It is unfortunate the judge didn’t see the case in the same light. He seemed to think of it as an isolated incident. The evidence was circumstantial, he said. It wasn't enough that she was caught on camera.”
Your throat is dry. Your voice comes out as a rasp when you confirm what he's telling you. “There's evidence of her committing a crime and she still got away?”
Taein speaks coldly. “It is likely her. The footage quality is rather poor. It is a young woman of roughly her stature.”
The last time you've seen him this upset was when you confronted him about his less than legal hobbies seven years ago. You're not sure why this case is so important to him. It should be more important to you. It's your father who was assaulted.
“How involved are my parents?” you ask. Surely they would have told you, their only son, if they were part of a criminal case with your boss.
“They aren't. They didn't want to press charges. The extent of their involvement was cooperating with Hangil’s investigation. I presume they believe in her innocence. It is possible it was an accident.”
They knew, and they still asked after your relationship with Eunmyeong. They still saw her as a potential future spouse for you, because there was no possible way the nice young woman from church could be the same young woman with the malicious intent to push your father down a flight of stairs and seriously injure him. They don't know her like you do.
“You should have told me this sooner.”
“I agree,” Taein says, sounding slightly more sincere than he usually does. “I had hoped for a better outcome. Hangil was opposed to involving you. He thought it might make it too personal.”
It was already personal. It was personal from the moment you met Eunmyeong, from the moment she decided to move to your hometown.
“What's next?” you ask, even as you delete your previous message to Eunmyeong and start a different one. “A hit man?”
“Don't count on it, Haksu-ah. Take some time off. I'll tell Daewoong to cancel your schedules.”
You don't have many schedules at the moment. You also don't understand why he's being so nice, but you'll take it. Your new message to Eunmyeong is simple. I want to see you tomorrow.
She responds with an affirmative and a location almost immediately, and for once, you can't wait to see her.
Tumblr media
"Oppa! I was acquitted!" Eunmyeong waves furiously at you from across the alleyway behind Fable's apartment building. She's not supposed to be here. She's supposed to be at the park the two of you agreed to meet at.
You cross the small street anyway, already annoyed at the sight of her. She steps forward with her arms outstretched, clearly trying to hug you. You stop in your tracks. "Did you do it?"
Your hands are balled into fists, hidden in the pocket of Mingeun's ugly hoodie again.
Her face falls. "I'm innocent. The judge said so."
"I don't fucking care what the judge said," you snarl. "Did you do it?"
You can't bring yourself to put together the words for what she did or didn't do. Taein was so clinical about it when he told you about the trial's proceedings. You've never been angry at another person like this in your entire life. To your surprise, it feels good to bask in the fire of your rage, to let it consume you until you're at risk of burning to a crisp.
Eunmyeong is quiet, barely louder than a whisper, when she finally answers, "Yes."
It doesn't exactly surprise you. She wasn't supposed to win the case. Taein said it was airtight. She was caught on camera.
You exhale shakily. She could have killed your father. "Bitch."
Eunmyeong reaches for you again.
"Don't fucking touch me," you snap at her, and she pulls away sharply.
"Oppa, I didn't mean it. I only wanted to know you better."
You stare at her, incredulous at her logic, anger still burning in the pit of your stomach. "Did it work? Do you think you know me?"
"You're scaring me, Oppa," she sniffles.
You've seen her crocodile tears before. They do nothing to move you. She might be scared of you, but you certainly aren't scared of her. You can't believe you used to give in to her demands.
"I don't care. Why should that matter to me? You're weird and pathetic and you're dedicating your life to following me around."
You're acutely aware that you're in an almost public area, and you're standing in the middle of what passes for a road, sometimes. You have to get her to leave.
She's shaking and sniffling—real tears, perhaps—but you can't be sure. "This isn't—"
You cut her off. "I told you, I don't care. Give me your phone."
"My phone? Why?"
"Give me your phone, Eunha," you repeat, grinding out your words.
She slips her hand into her pocket and hands you her phone. "You said my name."
You've probably said her name before, at fansigns and the like. You don't see what makes this different. You pop her phone case off, and one of your photocards, encased in a plastic sleeve, flutters to the ground.
She bends down immediately to pick it up. "Oppa, what are you doing?"
You don't answer her. You tuck her phone into your hoodie pocket, and then rifle through your wallet for the paper clip you keep for this exact purpose. With practiced ease, the SIM card tray slides open, and you flick the piece of plastic to the ground. You step on it, crushing the flimsy plastic between your heel and the asphalt.
Her phone quickly follows. It doesn't snap in half the way it does in the movies, so you begin to talk. "I don't want to see you ever again. Not at Fable's schedules, not around my apartment, and not in my hometown."
You shift your weight around on her phone, doing your best to render it irreparable. You try to catch her gaze, to see if she's listening to you, but she's glued to the sight of her phone being reduced to a useless rectangle of metal and plastic.
"I don't understand," she says. "I thought you liked me."
You've always known she's delusional. It's some new, unforeseen level of delusion for her to think that you would like her. There's nothing there for you to like. She likes you, or the idea of you, at least, and that's all there is to it.
You let up on her phone. The formerly white backing is cracked and scuffed with streaks of dirt. You nudge it, carefully, and it leaves behind shards of glass and plastic.
Satisfied, you take a step back, another pace closer to the safety of your home. "Leave. If you try to do something like that ever again, the law won't protect you from me.“
You watch her gather the pieces of her phone, hands shaking all the while. The outcome of the case doesn’t bother you. You didn't need it at all. You’ve always been perfectly capable of solving your own problems.

No worries about foreign pitchers missing two weeks…
A foreign pitcher's start was pushed back, but no worries. This is a completely different starting lineup for the LG Twins.
LG has practically been relying on a foreign one-two punch, Im Chan-kyu, and a strong bullpen. The Korean fourth and fifth starters have been underwhelming. Through seven days, LG has played 94 games, with Plutko leading the team as an ace with an 11-2 record and 2.33 ERA in 18 games, while Kelly has had his share of shaky outings, but has appeared in a team-high 21 games with a 7-5 record and 4.63 ERA. After starting the season in long relief, Lim quickly moved back into the starting rotation, going 8-2 with a 3.03 ERA in 16 starts. The trio combined for a 26-9 record and a 3.42 ERA in 55 games.
Other pitchers, including Kim Yun-sik, Lee Min-ho, Kang Hyo-jong, Lee Sang-young, Lee Jung-yong, Lee Ji-gang, and Choi Won-tae, had a combined starting record of 5-14 with a 5.28 ERA in 39 games. While most teams are worried about their 4.5 starters in Korea, LG's unreliability in the fourth and fifth innings is a critical weakness for a championship contender. Naturally, it's better for LG to have Plutko and Kelly on the mound.
However, recently, Plutko has missed about two weeks since July 25 against the KT Wiz due to a COVID-19 confirmation. He is scheduled to start against the Gwangju KIA Tigers on the 8th. Kelly was also hit in the right arm by Song Sung-moon's bat in the first inning against the Jamsil Kiwoom on July 3. He suffered a bruise and will be given a week's rest.
Last week, LG made one start with Plutko out and five starts with Korean pitchers. There were concerns, but it worked. Choi Won-tae filled the void left by the foreign pitchers, while Lee Jung-yong and Lee Ji-gang continued to improve.
Choi, who came to LG in a three-for-three trade that included Shin In-myeong, earned the win on July 30 with six innings of two-hit ball against Doosan in Jamsil. On July 5, he took the loss at Daegu Samsung Electronics, giving up six runs on nine hits in five innings, but he's not worried.
Lee recorded his first quality start since making the switch to the starting rotation on the 2nd with six innings of three-hit, no walks and four strikeouts against Jamsil Kiwoom. Lee Ji-gang also pitched the most innings since his debut, allowing two runs on four hits (one home run) and one walk in 5⅔ innings against Daegu Samsung Electronics on the 4th. He was able to go five innings after improving as a starter. On Tuesday, he pitched 5⅔ innings of two-run ball against Kiwoom, and on Sunday, he pitched five innings of one-run ball against Samsung Electronics in Daegu, fulfilling the role of a domestic ace. Samsung Electronics was in the midst of a two-game losing streak after winning seven in a row, so he fulfilled the important role of breaking the losing streak.
From Choi Won-tae on July 30 to Im Chan-gyu on July 8, Korean pitchers pitched at least five innings in six consecutive games. It was the first time this year.
This week, without Kelly, the four Korean starters will take the field for a six-game series against the KIA Tigers and Kiwoom Heroes. The worry is greatly reduced. The improved performance of the Korean starters has greatly reduced my anxiety.
LG's starting baseball is also getting better. It's a big boost for LG, which needs to defend its top spot. 먹튀검증

“Kang Yeosang I’m going to fucking kill you”
Storming in your family’s business rival's office first thing on Monday morning was not how you’d envisioned the start of the week. Actually, you would rather be sitting at a cafè nursing a warm coffee, but unfortunately life never went according to plan. Stepping out of the car in front of the building, you felt the eyes of the whole world on you.
And to top it all off, when you slammed the door to his office shut behind you, he simply turned around in his chair and welcomed you with a smug smile painted on his pretty lips and a fake air of surprise in his eyes. “What’s the matter, sweetie?”
Blood boiling, you stomped forward until you reached his desk. Yeosang sported a stupid smirk, one you wished you could just swipe off his face with a loud smack. But you had manners,
“Are you completely deranged!?”
Almost.
You could see he was trying his best to mask a laugh, and only raised a brow instead. “Whatever could you possibly mean?” only he knew perfectly what you meant, and his mocking of the situation did nothing but fuel your anger. Just who had he become in college?
“I mean you pissing off my father for the whole event last night and sending him into the ultimate spiral, which he took out on me over the phone the second he got home!”
Yeosang now sported a proud smile. You rolled your eyes as he leaned forwards and rested his chin on his hand.
“Well, I can see who you got that from”
“I’m serious about this!” you scoffed, not believing this was the first conversation you were having with him in years. “He’s already offered a merger to the Jeong’s company, thanks to you he’s going to marry me off in point two seconds!” you groaned, finally letting yourself plop down on a nearby chair.
The silence that settled was thick, you could almost hear the gears in Yeosang’s head turn. You knew him well enough to know that it meant he was up to no good.
The relationship you shared with him was one of a kind for sure. It dated back to high school, when you made everybody talk in hushed whispers as you strolled down the halls hand in hand. Everybody was aware of your families’ dislike for the other, you and Yeosang dating was nothing short of the hottest gossip of the century.
Everybody loved it.
And your parents hated it.
They had been rivals in business for at least two generations, your fathers were always at each other’s throats to try and one up the other. Both your family and his had tried, in vain, to tear you two apart. Nothing worked, of course, because you and him were faking it.
Nothing gave your teenage selves more exhilaration than pissing off your parents. With them not being around much and neglecting you, it was hard to get their attention. No amount of perfect grades and extra credits could do the trick; in their eyes, you were only dutifully doing your job. But having a significant other to distract you from acing your way through high school, well, that was something that could tick them off. That significant other being the child of your business rival...
You thrived off of the high of disobeying, breaking curfew, sneaking out and making people talk. You loved how everyone thinking of you as the modern-day Romeo and Juliet, finally getting to stay together, angered your parents beyond belief.
“An article just came out” Yeosang giggled from his spot on the floor. You two had sneaked to the roof for lunch, not really feeling like putting up too much of a show in the school’s cafeteria.
“Another one? It’s like the second of the week!” you laughed, taking a bite out of your sandwich and leaning over his shoulder to peep at his phone.
“The heir to the Kang’s company is yet again causing trouble with his Juliet: the couple of high-schoolers was caught at an arcade downtown over the weekend-”
“Stop!” you giggled, making him look away from his phone with a bemused smile. The silence that settled was welcomed and comfortable, the muffled sounds of the city below you serving as white noise.
“Don’t you ever get tired?” you asked then, feeling his eyes shift onto you. “I thought the worst they could do was the school paper, but real magazines? Just how much do they like to pry?”
Yeosang shrugged, understanding the feeling. No matter how hard you tried, you could never escape your families’ shadows. That’s why you made a deal to make the most out of it. When he offered you a simple pat on the shoulder, you shot him a grateful smile.
That, sadly, came to a halt when you were unwillingly shipped overseas for college. Admittedly, although you were reluctant at first, being away from them felt like a huge weight being lifted off your shoulders. There was nothing much you could do to escape your parents’ decision, and you were sure a part of you didn’t even want to fight it, after all, you had enjoyed the anonymity that came with being away from your family.
But if a weight had been lifted off your shoulders, one had settled over your heart; you came to miss Yeosang’s company. By then, you realized, you’d gotten used to seeing him every day in school and spending most of your free time with him. In the beginning, it was quite awkward, and you remembered having to try hard to even get a word out of him when you faked a date away from your fellow student’s eyes.
But as time went by, you started to appreciate his quiet but comfortable company, you felt as if he were the only one to understand, and over the years you started to consider him a friend. There were some things that only he understood, that you couldn’t run to your other friends for – those who enjoyed the type of life you felt trapped in.
That night you simply sent him a text, asking to meet at your usual spot. At this late hour there was no one at the park, just you and the far away sounds of the city. Your last day of high school had come and gone; you couldn’t even enjoy it because of the news you were given just as you stepped foot into your house. As soon as your father’s words sank in, you disappeared in your room for the whole afternoon, phone off and discarded somewhere.
The words echoed in your head as you mulled over them, laying down on your bed and staring at your blank ceiling. Your first thought had been to rebel against it, as per with every decision your parents made for you. Your second one was that finally you could escape them and all that came attached to your name, making the initial anger subside. And finally, you thought of Yeosang. Once you started though, you couldn’t stop; what would he say, if he’d care. Ultimately, just after texting him, if he’d be sorry you were leaving.
Because, with just thoughts of him swirling in your head, deep down you knew you’d be.
“I’m leaving” you whispered as soon as you heard him sit down on the swing beside you. Although it was late night, the air suddenly felt as heavy and hot as it was during the day. You didn’t dare look at him.
“My parents enrolled me in an American university, I didn’t stick around long enough to hear which one” you huffed, a quick, forlorn smile making its appearance on your lips. “I’m leaving late this summer”
It was quiet again for a little while, and when you turned to look at him, Yeosang was staring ahead, his hand gripping the swing’s chain tightly. “I’m sorry” you murmured finally.
“Why are you sorry?” You shrugged, looking away the moment his eyes found yours.
“You wanna go, don’t you? You’d be rambling on and on about how much you hate them and that they can go to hell for all you care, if you didn’t” there was a ghost of a smile on his face that you couldn’t quite place, just as you couldn’t the sadness in his voice. “And then you’d be plotting absurd ways to escape this”
When he looked at you, you kinda felt like crying, and you didn’t know why.
That night Yeosang walked you back home, hugging you goodbye and clinging onto you like he never wanted to let you go. You replayed the moment he held you, the closest he ever had, in your head until you fell asleep. You didn’t hear from him until the day you were leaving, a single text message lighting up your phone wishing you a safe flight.
The inevitable fallout that followed your distance pained you a little. Sometimes you wandered how he was doing, if things had gotten better for him, if he was still the same. If you ever crossed his mind, just like he did yours. Some nights your head got you thinking that maybe he didn’t value your friendship like you did his, and you got to wishing you had a true, valid excuse to call him. To ask him.
Because why would you call your fake high school sweetheart, when all that you shared was frustration and mutual understanding of the resentment of your respective families? Then you wondered about that one last hug, why had he held you like that?
With time you stopped your conflicted wondering and started accepting that your paths had crossed and uncrossed.
But like muscle memory, calling up Yeosang was your immediate response to the mention of arranged marriage. Dialing his number whenever you wanted to vent about your parents making life-changing decisions about your own life, was like second nature. However, once you found yourself staring at his caller ID, you hesitated. You weren’t friends anymore; you didn’t know who he became while you were away.
Maybe he didn’t want to hear from you, maybe his parents had roped him into a marriage just like yours. Or maybe he had actually found someone. You didn’t want to impose. You didn’t want to turn his life upside down in case he’d found some sort of balance; staying out of the way was the least you could do.
So, like all the times you wanted to but didn’t, you hadn’t called.
You went on a few dates with the son of the CEO of the company your father wanted to merge with and stayed quiet. And while you didn't think much of it, unfortunately, your parents thought this newfound compliance of yours towards their wishes to be absolutely endearing. It was all they ever wanted from you, but never managed to get. If you had a dime for every time you’d heard the sentence “I knew some time away would clear your head”, you’d be even richer.
Despite granting their wishes, you stalled as much as possible. Marriage was the last thing on your mind. As you went on those dates, you were scurrying to make a plan, find an alternative. Clearly, it gave your parents the wrong impression.
That’s when Kang Yeosang, unbeknownst to you, decided to intervene. And thus, as if no time ever passed, throwing all of your doubts out the window, you stormed into his father’s company’s building, earning side eyes and surprised glances. Every ticking step of your heels was accompanied by a hushed whisper.
And now here you were, in his office, talking to him after years.
“Let’s get married” the simple words made you crash back into reality, taking your breath away and sending your heart plummeting down your stomach. All you could voice, though, was a strangled “what!?”
“Let’s get ma-”
“I understood perfectly the first time around, what the hell do you mean let’s get married?!” your eyes must’ve been blown out of your sockets for Yeosang to look at you so bemusedly.
“Exactly what it means” he asserted with a casual shrug, crossing his arms over his chest. You tsked at how nonchalantly he was proposing such an idea. “Our families would literally chase us down and chain us to them if we did” you reasoned.
“And what about it?” he lifted a brow, clearly challenging you to find a counter argument. “Yeosang…”
“C’mon, Y/N, let’s raise a little hell. It’s not like we didn’t before”
“We’re talking about marriage here, Yeosang, not dating and running around past curfew. This has implications, huge ones at that” but he just rolled his eyes, perfectly aware of what he was saying.
“Don’t tell me you really want to go about marrying Jeong now” those simple words caused ruckus in your stomach. Just how many people knew about this? How much did your father gloat about the merger of the century and your mother about the wedding of the year?
“You know about that?” the way your voice sounded small and helpless launched Yeosang back in time, when you would complain about your parents treating you like a puppet. He understood perfectly back then, just as he did now.
“Everybody does, Y/N” he didn’t want to be the one to break the news to you, but your parents made it look like a done deal. Yeosang wouldn't be surprised if it was.
“What I’m saying is that you’re about to be selected as CEO of your father’s company under condition that you marry his strongest ally, which is pretty unfair if you ask me” Yeosang said, making your mind push back thoughts of disgust towards this system in favor of listening to him. He leaned forward, elbows on the table and head resting on his hand. “But our fathers can’t see past their pride; they don’t realize that the two biggest companies right now are theirs”
“So by marrying you…” the mischievous glint in his eyes was familiar to you, the same one they had when he’d propose you two sneak out to go to the movies and then waited for you in his car in front of your house. The puzzle slowly begun to piece itself together in your head.
“You’d become your company’s CEO without having to marry Jeong, and all the press would suck up to you – and not your father – for successfully merging the two biggest companies on the market” he concluded, the cleanest smirk adorning his face. “That’s a pretty big fuck you to daddy if you ask me”
In the silence of the room, you tried to make sense of your jumbled thoughts.
Here’s what you knew: you wanted to become CEO of your father’s company. But you didn’t agree with having to marry someone in order to become it. What’s more, you didn’t want to marry a stranger. You also knew there was no other way.
You knew Yeosang, though. You two had done this before. You knew you shared the same frustration about your parents meddling with your lives, he was a friend. If you had to succumb one last time to your father’s wishes to get what you wanted, then you’d do it on your terms.
Your lips curved into a smirk as your let your eyes meet Yeosang’s. He was already looking at you expectantly. Why would he do this was the last question that crossed your mind, but you figured you’d find out sooner or later.
An idea slowly formed in your mind.
“I’m flying to Las Vegas for a conference next week” you said.
“What a coincidence” he winked.
And just like that, you felt pervaded by the same air of freedom that you breathed in as you ran down the school hallways hand in hand with Yeosang, the same rush that sneaking back into the house at ungodly hours after being with him brought you; it finally felt like you were holding your life in your hands again.

“Seonghwa, I need you to lie to my dad until I leave for the US” when you got back to your own office, you had immediately called in your assistant.
“What about?” not even concerned anymore, he simply took a seat across from you, a little smug smile on his face. “A little birdy told me you visited Kang’s building today” he wiggled his brows, making you huff in annoyance.
“You need to stop texting Hongjoong during work hours” you groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. “It’s none of your business anyway, but if he ask where I'm headed, tell him it isn't Las Vegas”
"Doesn't he know you'll be attending KQ Tech's conference?"
With just a shake of your head, Seonghwa smirked knowingly. You didn’t worry too much though; you knew he would help in any way he could, even if it meant dealing with your mother in your place.
“I’ll try not to think too hard about why you and Kang both will be attending, then” he winked, getting up from his seat and walking up to the door. You looked at him dumbfounded. “H-how do you know about that?” you asked, surprised.
“Hongjoong” with one last laugh, he walked out, ignoring your calling after him to get back and tell him how many more people could know about this. Finally, you gave up, sighing as you slumped down on your chair, hoping your secret would be safe for a week.
When the day you were supposed to fly out to Las Vegas came, it started off alright. You had a nice shower – even though it was five in the morning – and a peaceful breakfast. After checking your suitcase one last time, you strolled down to your car in the silence of the early morning.
Then, your mom decided to call. Apparently, she caught wind of Yeosang’s presence at the conference. All the peacefulness you had gathered, was quick to shatter into a billion pieces. Assuring her time and time again that the reason why you'd be in the same city as him was not the conference, wasn't enough. It was like she could smell bullshit through the phone, so you gave up. Yet again, she was making sure you knew not to talk to him, or approach him, and that other business partners and rivals would be attending. You knew very well what that meant; think of how it’d look like if you talked to him when everyone knows of the merger – rumors would spread like wildfire, and we wouldn’t want that, now would we, honey?
Rolling your eyes as she made you swear to not even look in his direction, you insisted that you needed to hang up or you wouldn’t be allowed on the plane. Not true, of course, but as your car slowed down in front of the airport and you saw Yeosang standing there, dashing as you’d never seen him in his total black outfit, you didn’t think you would’ve been able to bear any more of her blabbing.
When he noticed you, he hurried over to help you with your suitcase. His hushed “morning” accompanied by a cheeky wink didn’t go unnoticed by you, and you could only thank fuck that you were wearing a mask to hide at least half of your shocked expression. You didn’t remember him being this upfront in high school.
“Yes, mom, I won’t talk to him, look at him, stand in his immediate vicinity or breathe his air, now I need to go” you groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose as Yeosang quietly chuckled. You glared at him, and he simply shook his head to hide a laugh, starting to walk to the entrance.
Feeling another wave of insufferable rambling coming, you decided to cut it off before she could finally talk your ear off. “Mom! I got it, no interactions with Kang Yeosang under absolutely no circumstances, I really have to go, bye” angrily hanging up the phone, you then carelessly threw it in you bag. You swore this woman lived to get on your last nerve.
Yeosang was just standing there, both your suitcases at his sides, and you could see his smile behind his mask. “Already breaking your promises, Y/L/N” he shook his head disapprovingly. “How disappointing”
It took about three seconds before you both started laughing, and again it felt like no time at all had passed. Like in front of you was still the same Yeosang who quietly distracted you in class when you mentioned you’d fought with your parents that same morning. Like the Yeosang you knew.
“Should we go?” you asked, shaking that image from your mind. He nodded, walking behind you, still carrying both suitcases.
When you found out that your seat was right beside his, you looked at him pointedly. He shrugged saying that “it’s not my fault fate decided we share this thirteen hours side by side, love” and simply plopping down on his seat. Eyes wide, you huffed, speechless, before sitting down as well.
The flight ahead was a long one, so you hoped you could fall asleep for most of it. You knew your thoughts would run wild if you let them, and you didn’t want to change your mind. As big of a step this was, it was the only way you could, at least in part, be the master of your own destiny.
Despite your dreams of marrying for love being trampled on all your life, a small part of you had always hoped you’d find a way out. That somehow, there was a way in which one aspect of your life could still be for you and not for them.
Yeosang’s hand came to rest just above your knee, halting the nervous bouncing of your leg. His eyes held worry in them but also understanding. After all, he was sacrificing a lot too.
“We can find a way around this, you know that, right?” his voice was soft, and you had to admit your heart skipped a beat. “We don’t have to do this if-”
“I know, but it’s alright” your mom’s words echoed in your mind, and the more they did, the less you doubted your decision to be on this plane. “They set a date” you whispered. “I don’t want to give them the satisfaction of controlling another aspect of my life”
Yeosang nodded, eyes suddenly dark. He didn’t speak much after that, if only to argue that “Twilight is just bad, stop calling it a classic” when you suggested to watch a movie to kill some time. You heard the smirk in his voice when he said that and played the movie just to spite him. Yeosang cackled, dutifully watching the movie – and the majority of the sequels – for the rest of the flight.
When you landed, a horrible kink in your neck reminded you of how you’d fallen asleep on his shoulder, with his cheek gently resting against the top of your head. Reminder of the fact was also the sweet, old lady that sat beside you on the plane – who wished you and Yeosang a wonderful time in Vegas, a knowing smile on her lips.
And if you had been too taken aback by her words to respond, then Yeosang hadn’t, thanking her and immediately after taking your hand in his to drag you to baggage claim.

“So, when are we getting married?”
At first the silence at the table had been a little awkward, and the small talk didn’t help either, but after a little while – and a few glasses of wine – it had gotten better. For the first time in your life, you were having trouble staying focused on what Yeosang was saying, or what you were saying for that matter. Admittedly, he had always been cute, but he had grown to be distractingly handsome. And you couldn’t help but dare to look at him twice, tracing with your eyes his sculpture-like features before remembering you were supposed to pay attention.
But after all the catching up was done, and he had made you laugh like you hadn’t in a while, the question had slipped out almost unintentionally.
You could see Yeosang almost choke on his wine, making you hide your amused smile. He cleared his voice, putting down his glass. “I guess anytime before the conference? Why, eager to become Mrs. Kang?”
And with a raise of brow, seemingly recovering flawlessly from his previous shock, he made you a little dizzy. Maybe it was the alcohol. Definitely. Not the prospect of actually becoming his wife.
“More like eager to stop getting texts from my mother about wedding dress fittings” you rolled your eyes, pushing aside those fluttering feelings.
Truth was, she was being quite restless about it, pushing you more and more with each message and appointment added to your calendar. You figured it was her way of reminding you that up until now, you didn’t have any sort of “rebellious tantrums” – like she called them – unlike you used to, and it wasn’t time to start having any. For months you did what you were told, and maybe the fact that you were away, let alone in the same place as Kang Yeosang, had her on edge.
If she only knew, you thought.
You didn’t want any of this, and she was lucky you couldn’t exactly yell at her over the phone that you weren’t getting married to that idiotic, daddy’s boy they were trying so hard to saddle you with.
Perhaps Yeosang noticed how you got quiet all of a sudden, eyes downcast on the glass your hands were playing with, or realized how actually taxing this had been for you to handle; so then, you shouldn’t have been surprised when he muttered a “let’s go”.
“What?” your head snapped up in his direction.
“Let’s go get married, the sooner we do it, the sooner we can register it” he offered you his hand, which you took without hesitation. Yeosang didn’t question when you dragged him to the gift shop of the hotel. Though he looked around a little lost, hand still in yours, as you snooped through the aisles.
“I don’t think they’re going to marry us here” he humored, making you stop dead in your tracks. You turned around, looking at him with an ironic smile. “No shit Sherlock, I just need to do something” he furrowed his brows in confusion, but quietly followed along. At first.
“How long is it going to take?” he asked yet again, confused as to why you were still looking around and not picking up anything. It was reaching minute ten of wandering around and he was growing perplexed with each passing second.
“It’d take less if you stopped complaining and started helping”
“I don’t even know why we’re in here!” Yeosang protested.
“I need something blue” you simply shrugged, realization sparking up his eyes. You kept on looking around, until finally he tapped on your shoulder. When you turned, Yeosang was standing there, holding a blue t-shirt with the most horrendous print on it that read “I went to Las Vegas and all I got was this lousy t-shirt”.
“If you want, I’ll wear the one that has “it’s my 65th birthday and I’m spending it in Vegas” on it” he offered, barely holding back a laugh. “It’s the only other blue one in my size” You scoffed, prompting him to absolutely lose it. You didn’t remember his laugh being so contagious, nor this wholesome.
“This is ridiculous, but alright” you finally allowed, wiping a tear.
Once paid, you finally ventured to downtown Las Vegas, amazed by the livelihood of the streets, the bright lights, and the number of impersonators on the streets. Arms linked as you walked, you passed a few chapels, none catching your eye. You had to drag Yeosang away from each and every Elvis impersonator inviting you to their chapel; he claimed it’d be funny to get married by him, you thought otherwise.
In the end, you settled on just entering the next one you saw. To your dismay, and his giddiness, the officiant was none other than Elvis.
(“The things I’d give to see our parents’ faces seeing us getting married by a fucking Elvis impersonator” he chuckled amusedly. Suddenly his idea didn’t seem as bad as it did before.)
As you were signing the papers, Yeosang tugged you aside.
“Figured this could be your something borrowed” he slipped one of his rings into your hand. You furrowed your brows, looking up at him confused. He was sporting a faint blush on his cheeks and was carefully avoiding your eyes. “You mentioned that you only missed the something borrowed, so I figured...” his voice trailed off, a hand going to scratch the back of his neck.
“Thanks” you were quick to reassure him. As you looked into his warm eyes, your voice faltered a little, and he finally looked at you. Yeosang had an air of giddiness surrounding him, one you couldn’t quite place. Maybe it was his strange obsession with Elvis impersonators. When he quickly squeezed your hand, you knew you were doing the right thing.
“Ready to get married?” before the doors to the actual chapel, he offered you his arm. You took it. “As I’ll ever be”

When the next morning you woke up and saw the thin wedding band on your finger, you smiled. Your smile only got wider when you read one of your mother’s texts.
We’re very proud of you for going through with this.
You laughed. A hearty, genuinely amused laugh. Looking down, you saw that you were wearing the atrocious blue shirt and laughed a little harder. You’d done it.
“What are you so happy about?” you almost screamed as Yeosang emerged from a mountain of blankets, peeping his equally horrendous blue shirt on him. You turned your phone around, letting him see the text and watching as an equally amused grin adorned his lips. “Well, I bet she is, don’t you think, Mrs. Kang?”
The second the words left his mouth you were left breathless for a second. Yeosang was sitting there, hair a mess on his head, barely awake with sleep in his eyes and the prettiest smile on his face, making your stomach twist and turn with knots of unknown emotion.
Maybe your brain was short circuiting – you’d definitely blame this on lack of sleep later – but he didn’t seem to protest when you crashed into his chest, arms flying around his neck and holding him close. It took only a few seconds before his arms snaked around your waist, tugging you closer.
“Thank you” you mumbled in the crook of his neck. You wanted to say so much more, but you couldn’t quite put into words how much it meant to you that Yeosang offered to help you like this. You did wonder why he would do this, but you still didn’t know how to ask.
He only held you closer, before letting you go.
It was silent for a second, the more you looked at Yeosang, the more you felt at a loss for words. The air wasn’t uncomfortable, but it did feel like something shifted, making it a little harder to breathe anyway.
“Why are you in my bed?” you suddenly asked, finally looking at him. Yeosang looked a little alarmed at first, eyes wide, and it took a moment to remember.
You didn’t quite know how you ended up wearing a little white veil on your head, or why you were currently dancing on a table, but it sure felt fun. The most fun you’d had in a while. It became even more fun when you dragged a buzzed Yeosang on top of the table with you.
“Give it up for my husband!” you yelled as he stumbled close to you, an arm still carefully wrapped around your waist. The crowd of drunken patrons of the club cheered loudly, making you laugh. When you looked at Yeosang you found him hiding his face behind his free hand, but smiley, nonetheless.
He wasn’t as drunk as you, and it didn’t take long for him to convince you to step down. As he led you to a less crowded area, hand resting on the small of your back, you think you complained about him being no fun a few times.
It was only when you came to a stop that you turned around to look at him in the eyes. Whatever you wanted to say next, however, was drowned out by the DJ's voice.
“Everybody, I’ve just been told there’s a couple of newlyweds in the crowd! So, upon request from the bride’s best friend Sasha, we’re going to slow it down for a little bit. This one’s for you guys, congratulations!”
You looked at Yeosang shocked; a huge, incredulous smile making your mouth hang open in surprise. He just laughed as the first notes of I Can’t Help Falling in Love started playing. You offered him a hand, which he took and used to pull you flush against him, arms snaking around your waist. You let yours drape around his neck, starting to sway.
“Who the fuck is Sasha, by the way?” he asked, making you giggle.
“I met her in the toilets, we’re best friends now” Yeosang scoffed, and you playfully smacked the back of his head.
Neither of you said much, and you took a moment to drink in how ethereal he looked in the lights surrounding you. The first few buttons of his white shirt were undone, his collarbones peeping out. When you looked up to him, you knew you’d been caught staring. You didn’t think you cared.
Yeosang looked just the littlest bit bashful, but you caught a smug smile fleeting from his lips. Your eyes lingered there, perhaps a second too long, and you didn’t see it coming when he kissed you. It was as if sparks started flying, making you dizzier than the alcohol had. He tasted sweet like the drink you made him try, making you want more.
Only when you felt like your lungs were about to burn, you broke away – breaths mingling, and barely an inch apart.
“Promise me it’ll be like high school” you found yourself saying, unable to hold your tongue, hoping he’d catch it over the song fading out. “I really did miss you when I left” in the dim lights of the club, you couldn’t make out the way he looked at you, but you knew it made your heart swell a little.
“I promise” he said, his lips brushing against yours, before he kissed you again.
Yeosang cleared his voice, you noticed how his fingers were playing with his wedding band.
“You were pretty drunk, and asked me to stay” he shrugged, throwing a smile your way. You just nodded, awkwardly smiling back. He didn’t think you remembered.
“Thanks for making sure I didn’t do anything too stupid” you sighed. “And for staying”
Yeosang nodded, starting to get off the bed. You watched him go, saying you’d meet him at breakfast so you could talk about the details of registering the marriage as soon as you got back. You preferred to not think about why the way he scurried out of your room left you with a sour taste in your mouth.
Tumblr media
The next day, after you spent the rest of the day prior awkwardly dancing around Yeosang, you woke up with your stomach twisted in anxious knots. It was the day of the conference. None of the attendees knew of your wedding, and its implications, but they’d care soon enough. Especially business partners and rivals. You didn’t know why you felt this nervous about a conference that you really didn’t need to attend if not to represent your father’s company.
Maybe it was the thought of having to deal with slimy, ignorant old men who thought women didn’t really have a place in businesses like these. The after-conference small talk with champagne and finger food buffets were always the most dreaded parts of events for you.
Countless hours spent trying to prove your intelligence and passion to people who only really saw you as an entitled daddy’s daughter, always left you tired and angry, no matter how hard you tried to not let it get to you.
Or, maybe, it was that you were keeping a huge secret from everyone in the room, and you were terribly afraid they’d find out just by looking at you.
Either way, your buzzing nerves didn’t do much to help the awkward tension between you and Yeosang. You two quietly had breakfast together, before sharing a silent ride to the hotel hosting the conference.
“See you on the other side” he joked anyway, before walking in. “Remember, don’t breathe my air!” echoing you mother’s words, he threw you one last wink and disappeared behind the hall doors. You scoffed a laugh, before walking in yourself.
As you did every time you had to attend these events, you gave yourself only and hour to talk to people. It was all you could take before inevitably, after the umpteenth jab or backhanded compliment thrown at you, you’d cuss someone out.
So, when the conference ended, you immediately set off to stand as near to the exit as possible with a flute of champagne in your hand. From time to time, you’d catch Yeosang’s eyes in the crowd, before swiftly looking away. It wasn’t as bad as you thought, only getting uncomfortable when your father’s business partners came up to you with a knowing glint in their eyes.
As someone mentioned the merger of the year for at least the fifth time, you almost cried tears of joy when your eyes fell on your watch. Only ten minutes left. A familiar head of hair was also making his way towards the exit doors as he talked to someone.
You politely slipped out of the circle that formed around you, not really caring about the harm to your reputation if somebody saw you walk out with Yeosang. They had a bigger storm coming.
“Miss Y/L/N!” you stopped dead in your tracks.
Well, shit.
“Mr. Jeong” you smiled curtly, turning around.
“Leaving already?” everything about this man irked you, and it wasn’t only because he was supposed to become your father-in-law. “I thought you graced these events with an hour of your time” his tone laced with badly hidden sarcasm.
“Unfortunately, I have to get to the airport in time, I have to get home as soon as possible” used to lying through your teeth, it sounded like the truth. Mr. Jeong nodded, muttering about understanding perfectly and guessing “work can wait when you have to try on wedding dresses”.
You scoffed, feeling angrier as the seconds ticked by. About an hour of allusions like this one had you ready to quite literally spit fire, but you needed to save face.
“I wouldn’t neglect work for something that trivial” you didn’t think the grip you had on your flute could get any tighter than it was, until he put a hand on your upper arm. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to get…”
“I know you wouldn’t” he cut you off, sounding exactly like he was saying the opposite of what he meant. “I just had to make sure work was still a priority, you know, since you’ll be marrying my-”
“Hands off my wife” a chill ran down your spine, hearing Yeosang saying the dreaded words with a voice so low and threatening. You almost didn’t even recognize it, not until his familiar hand grasped yours and pulled you to him.
Mr. Jeong drew back, realization dawning in his eyes as your heart fell to your stomach. No doubt he’d call your father in the next five minutes. This wasn’t exactly how you’d planned things to go. Fighting the urge to roll your eyes, you took a deep breath.
“Your wife, huh?” he raised a brow, repeating the words as to digest the new piece of information. As the seconds ticked by, and his eyes bounced between you and Yeosang, he seemed to realize the man holding you close was not cracking some poorly executed joke, and that his chance at a merger with one of the biggest companies on the market had been taken away from him. His eyes fell on your rings.
“I’m sorry Mr. Jeong” you started, absolutely fuming and unwilling to let anyone talk over you again. You took a step towards him. Yeosang seemed reluctant to let go of you but did anyway. “But the conditions for me to become CEO were to bring about a successful merger with the strongest ally my company could afford to have” you smiled sweetly, but your voice couldn’t have been icier.
“And since I take my job seriously, I know that Mr. Kang’s is” you saw anger flash in his eyes, but before he could speak another word, you were already turning around. “Now you’ll really have to excuse me” you caught Yeosang’s hand again, dragging him out of the hall.
You didn’t stop walking, not as you felt everyone’s eyes on the two of you, not even when surprised murmurs made their way through the hall and followed you out of it. You didn’t stop until you got to your car, a little out of breath from the way you speed walked there in heels, seemingly dragging a grown man behind you.
Another silent car ride later, Yeosang was awfully quiet as he watched you go round the room in circles, breathing heavily. He knew what was about to come, but never in a million years he would’ve guessed to be the subject of your ire. So, when you stopped walking and finally turned to face him, he braced for impact.
“What the fuck was that?” you let your arms drop down to your sides as you asked. “We agreed on keeping this to ourselves until we got back” you sighed, strangely your voice was lacking the angry bite it had before, sounding a little desperate instead. “Now everyone’s going to know in no time!”
“I’m sorry, I just…” Yeosang let himself fall seated on the edge of the bed. “I don’t know what came over me, he was just so close, talking down to you like you were just a fucking pawn in their game. I couldn’t…” he sighed, biting back whatever he had to add.
Your phone started ringing a second after, your father's name shining bright on the screen. You laughed bitterly, waiting for it to stop and turning it off before he could call again.
“Well, you claiming your stake on me like that didn’t feel too great either, you know?” you ran your hands through your hair, his words replaying in your head over and over.
“What was I supposed to do then, let him talk to you like that?” his voice was uncharacteristically loud and harsh, making you even more frustrated for completely missing your point.
“I could’ve handled it on my own, I always do!” you pushed back, raising your voice as well.
The both of you were breathing hard, looking at each other, before Yeosang got up from his spot, walking over to you. His eyes were unreadable, different from how you remembered not being able to understand what they were concealing. Back then, they didn’t pull you in like they were doing right now.
“I’m sorry” he was the first one to relent, his eyes looking past you now. You could only sigh, it was a done deal now, there was nothing you could do. “It’s alright”
Yeosang looked like he had something to say but didn’t quite know how to. There was a pregnant silence hanging over the room, somehow you were scrambling to find something to say and coming up empty handed. When you finally found his eyes again, only one question came to mind.
“Why?” it slipped past your lips before you could stop yourself, and you watched as Yeosang furrowed his brow, puzzled. “Why did you offer to marry me?”
“I-” he exhaled, mumbling something under his breath. “Helping a friend?” it sounded like a question, and you scoffed. “You don’t go around offering to marry a friend you haven’t seen or talked to in four years”
Head hanging low, Yeosang avoided your gaze once again. You took a tentative step forward, searching for his eyes until you finally found them. They were looking nothing like they did just minutes earlier, but they still made your breath catch.
“Y/N, I…” he was so close that you felt like your brain was short circuiting, eyes falling to his lips for a split second. You didn't know what came over you when you spoke next.
“I just-”
“Kiss me” you recognized the breathiness of your voice, its neediness too. Yeosang’s eyes flashed with surprise for a mere second, and didn’t waste a second to grant your wish. His fingers ghosted down your skin, leaving goosebumps in their wake. He ran them softly down the line of your jaw, your neck and cascade down your arm until he intertwined them with yours. His other hand pulled you flush against him by the waist, your own arms wrapped around his neck.
The kiss was nothing like the one you shared in the club; it started off tentative but quickly grew hungrier as Yeosang let his tongue deliberately explore your mouth. You softly pulled at his hair to bring him impossibly closer, a quiet groan leaving his mouth.
When you finally came up for air, it was only for a moment, before you crashed your lips against his again. Slowly, you started making your way towards the bed, until you felt him bump into it. Yeosang pulled you down with him, maneuvering you until he was hovering over you. When you felt him start to pull back, you let him, worry shooting through you for a split second. He gently rested his forehead against yours, breaths mingling, before your eyes met.
“Tell me what you want” he murmured, a little breathless. Throwing all doubts out the window you pulled him down, smiling in the kiss when he let out a surprised sound. Winding your arms around his neck, you kissed him harder, shifting your legs so he could fit in between them. Yeosang sighed against your mouth, giving you time to catch your breath as his kisses made their way down your throat. He sucked softly enough not to leave any marks, but teasingly enough to make your head light.
Slowly undoing the buttons of your blouse, Yeosang left a wet kiss on every inch of skin that he uncovered. “This what you wanted, mh?” he asked before crashing his lips against yours again, you answered by rolling your hips into his. “Fuck” he let out under his breath, finally doing away with your shirt. Mind spinning, you couldn’t help a wanton moan from escaping your lips when he cupped your breast with one hand, playing with the nipple over the soft fabric of your bralette.
Finally, finally, he undid the clasp and threw it away somewhere, and one by one all of your clothes ended up discarded on the floor. “You’re so beautiful” he breathed, not wasting another second in latching his lips on your hardened nipple, a breathy moan escaping your lips. It seemed to dawn on you right then what was going on, and through the haze clouding your mind, you brought his face up to yours. You kissed him softly, letting your hands travel across his chest, down his sculpted torso, until they reached the waistband of his boxers.
Yeosang held his breath for just a second when he heard you whine something along the lines of “need you” as you stroked him over them. He caught your hand in his, bringing it up over your head, before kissing you hard. “Perfect” he mumbled, coming up for air, taking a look at your naked figure and making you shiver under his gaze. You didn’t think anyone had ever looked at you like that; like he so desperately wanted, needed, you he’d do anything to have you. It made your heart flutter, and you didn’t have time to think about why you wanted him all over you, to have his closeness overwhelm you in the best way possible. Each kiss, each deliberate touch of his fingers against you core set you aflame and sent you reeling, head lost in clouds of cotton.
“Yeosang” you moaned when you felt him slowly push into you. His pace was slow, driving you crazy and building your high steadily. Yeosang drunk all of your whimpers and moans with open mouthed kisses, and only then you noticed how he was clinging to your body; you noticed in the way his grip on you grew tighter, how he was fully pressed against you with no intention to pull away.
You held him too, your hands traveling from his biceps up into his soft strands of hair, back down to gripping his shoulders and no doubt leaving behind half-moons on his skin. “Mine” he mumbled in the crook of your neck, trailing his lips against your skin. “Say you’re mine, please” his voice broke the slightest bit, making your breath catch. “Yours” the affirmation flew out your mouth without hesitation, soft and slow. Yeosang picked up his pace, your legs pulled him even closer, rolling your hips to match his thrusts. It felt like seeing stars, spinning faster and faster towards your climax. “Yeo, so close” you weren’t making sense, lost in him, feeling him all around. With one last perfectly angled thrust, his name fell from your lips loudly, your high hitting you hard.
Still shaking, you felt Yeosang slip out of you seconds later and breathlessly groan into your neck, coming on your stomach. You heard nothing but your shaky pants, until you felt him quietly slip away, only to return moments later to clean you up gently.
Yeosang looked a little hesitant to come any closer to you, opting to just lie down beside you. He only seemed to relax when you turned on your side to face him, letting your arm softly drape over his torso and over the blanket. Just then he dared to pull you closer, placing a feathery kiss on the top of your head.
“I wanted to tell you, that night at the park” he finally spoke after what felt like centuries. “But I couldn’t. I convinced myself that it wasn’t fair to you and I’d be able to forget you… I’ve tried to forget you. I’ve never tried so hard in my life. But it's impossible. It’s simply not possible for me to stop thinking about you”
He was staring at the ceiling while speaking, and you noticed his finger anxiously drawing patterns on the top of your hand. “Yeosang, what are you-” looking up at him, you stopped speaking when his earnest eyes set on yours.
“I’m saying that I’m a selfish idiot who fell in love with you, but never had the balls to tell you, and took a chance when he saw it” he sighed, letting his head fall back onto the mattress. “That I offered to marry you because I’ve been in love with you since you first said hi to me, and I couldn’t bear to see you with someone else”
You were left speechless by his words and let them hang in the air for long enough to see Yeosang to start sitting up, away from you, and gather his clothes. You still didn’t dare to say anything – too busy trying to make sense of the way your head was spinning, and your heart was pounding furiously in your chest – when he turned to look at you, now wearing the same clothes as earlier.
“The other night, at the club” he swallowed, eyes set on the floor. “You asked me to promise that we’d be like in high school”
“I remember” Yeosang’s head snapped up, looking at you surprised, before nodding.
“I intend to keep that promise” you saw it in his eyes, the hurt your silence caused, but you really couldn’t find the words to say – you just knew you wanted to scream at him not to leave, that you weren’t regretting anything that had happened thus far. But the words got stuck in your throat, and it was hard to swallow the emotion that was making it a little hard to breathe.
So, you just nodded, seeing Yeosang nodding back before starting to make his way out of the room. Just when you heard the door open, you called after him. Stumbling through the room, now wearing your horrendous blue Las Vegas shirt, you found him standing at the threshold.
“I-” you sighed, determination shaking a little under his gaze. “I care about you, a lot. And I don’t, I won’t ever, regret this” you struggled through the confusion you were feeling, barely able to pick out the right words to express the only thing you felt with absolute certainty.
Yeosang’s eyes softened a little, making your heart feel lighter.
“I’ll see you tomorrow” he simply mumbled, offering you a meek smile, before walking to his room.
Left alone in yours, you made your way to bed, still feeling him all around, and feeling like crying again. So you did.
Tumblr media
The moment you landed back home, you knew you couldn’t keep your phone off any longer. Both you and Yeosang had for the sake of your peace, but it was time to face the music. No doubt it was going to be the longest day of your life.
The morning after the night you slept together, you barely shared a word, and the flight was silent too. Yeosang seemed a little less tense than the night before, but you were a bundle of nerves. You still needed to decide if it was because of the complicated feelings he’d sparked in you, or the fact that you needed to face your parents.
The number of missed calls and texts you saw on both your phones made you cringe at the prospect of having this dreaded conversation. Not even Seonghwa’s angry comments to the tabloid articles he’d sent you made you smile, unlike they usually would. But what did, and what made you even angrier, was one new piece of information he forwarded you.
Yeosang’s driver finally pulled up to your father's company. You could hear a pin drop in the silence that fell when you and Yeosang entered the building, and you could also feel the looks thrown your way as you walked to your office. It didn’t really help that Yeosang’s hand was gently resting on the small of your back.
You didn’t shake it off, though, not even when you finally entered the office and saw the four faces you oh so dreaded seeing.
“Have you completely lost your mind?!” was the first thing your father said to you, harsh and angry – sentiments reflected in your mother's eyes. “You’ve crossed a line, Y/N” pointing a finger at you, but you cut him off before he could add anything.
“I don’t think I did” you shrugged, taking a step forward. “Actually, I think I did exactly what was asked of me” you crossed your arms, waiting for the inevitable rebuttal.
“You’ve gone too far; do you not think of the consequences of your actions? Are you that clueless about your own job?” you scoffed at your father’s words, no doubt enraging him further. “Do you spite us so much?” you mother added fuel to the fire, looking at Yeosang like he was the source of all evil. You felt rage bubbling inside of you, and took a step in front of him, as if to shield him from her gaze.
“Enough!” you noticed how the Kang’s hadn’t spoken yet, having an inkling as to why. “It was your own conditions for me to step-in in your place that brought this about”
“I wanted to make a successful merger-”
“Oh, for the love of god, you just wanted me to marry whoever you saw fittest to your interests!” you roared, shutting him up. “And even then, it would’ve been the worst possible deal you could’ve done. Did you even know that Jeong was going to use you to save his company from debt?”
“And you knew” Yeosang stepped in, talking to his parents. “You knew perfectly well what the merger with Jeong meant and tried your absolute best to keep me from knowing.”
“We were just trying to keep you from making irrational decisions, which you did-”
“Don't act like you're sorry I brought the best ally you could get just because you're too proud to admit it” he sounded cold, matter of factly.
“We would never stoop so low to-” Yeosang wasn't having any of what his father was about to say.
“For fuck's sake, what is your problem in seeing that this is the best possible outcome for everyone!?”
Your fathers scoffed, almost comically at the same time, outraged for two absolutely different reasons. Mr. Kang was afraid if Yeosang found out, he’d do exactly what he did. Your father, on the other hand, was just mad he didn’t see what he was about to do to his company, and that you did.
“I think it’s time you resign” you turned to yours, seeing anger flash in his eyes. “A CEO that doesn’t even recognize he’s about to make a horrible deal is no good for the company. Imagine what people would say if they knew”
“Don’t you dare speak to your father like that” your mother sounded outraged. “He was only doing what’s best for everyone!”
“Don’t come at me with that bullshit! Do you even know how ridiculous you sound right now?” you exploded, pointing your finger, as she gasped a little. “He was about to marry me off to someone a brink away from bankruptcy only to spite me and keep me from the man that I love, at the cost of ruining himself”
Yeosang took a step closer to you, unknowingly giving you the strength to twist the knife some more.
“He doesn’t care, no… you all never cared” you looked at each of them in the eyes. “Be thankful we not only brought about the merger you only dared to dream of,” finally, your gaze fell on your father. “but I saved you, too. I expect your resignation letter as soon as tomorrow, and I would also appreciate it if you stayed out of the way during the transition”
You turned around, taking Yeosang’s hand in yours and dragging him out of the building, this time unconcerned with the looks thrown your way and with a strange sense of victory bubbling inside of you. You didn’t stop until you were outside and a little way down the street, when Yeosang pulled at your hand and made you face him.
He was sporting a giddy smile, eyes lit up with happiness. There was a silent question in yours, but you just smiled a little wider at the thought of finally word vomiting all that you’d been thinking to your parents.
“I’m very proud of how you handled that” Yeosang started, stepping closer to you. Only then you noticed that he still hadn’t let go of your hand and was now soothingly rubbing his thumb over your knuckles. He stopped when he got to your ring finger, toying a little with the wedding band sitting there. “The man that you love, huh?”
Your heart sped up a little, and you rolled your eyes at the teasing glint in his, feeling hot under his tender gaze.
“Well, I was just saying the truth” you shrugged, noticing how he suddenly got serious. “I do love you. You don’t know how many nights I wished I had an excuse to call you, to hear your voice. You never left my mind, your corner in my heart is well established, Yeosang. I’m sorry it took this long to realize”
You brought a hand up to cup his cheek, heart swelling when he leaned against it. Yeosang’s gentle fingers wrapped around your wrist, thumb caressing the skin of the back of your hand. His eyes were so soft and full of adoration that you thought you might combust if he looked at you any longer, so you leaned in to catch his lips with yours.
You had kissed hungrily and longingly before, but now it felt like coming home. You welcomed the warmth that pervaded you as he kissed you a little deeper, pushing you flush against his chest, finally feeling like you found your place with him.

how you get noticed by nishimura riki: tik-tok (3/7)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-member: nishimura riki
-how you get noticed: he duets your tik-tok video
the universe works in mysterious ways. because what are the chances that on the same day the leader of your dance team decides to bitch to you about your technique, you find out the one and only 4th gen dance leader has duetted your video.
Tumblr media
“there’s no way this day could get any worse.”
that was what you told yourself when you woke up and realised you forgot to do your maths homework that was due today first period. it was what you told yourself when you went to go shower, only to find out that somebody else had used all of the hot water, leaving you shivering and pissed off under icy droplets at 6 in the morning. it was what you told yourself when you missed your bus, and again what you told yourself after your teacher had scolded you in front of the entire class for being late while your cheeks heated in embarrasment.
you tried to reassure yourself throughout the day that things could not get worse–but it seemed as though the universe was against you, and you were fucking tired of trying to contain your frustrations.
you supposed it was no suprise that the person who managed to push you over the edge was kang hyewon, someone who had given you nothing but headaches since the beginning of your highschool career when you had first met her in your dance class. though you would give it to her, she was extremely talented–or at least, she was talented enough to snag the title of “dance captain” from right under your nose. you were fine with it of course, she happened to be an ace dancer who excelled in all styles of dance, while you chose to stick to hip-hop and freestyling. she was more versatile than you (as well as the rest of your class), so you understood why she got her spot.
but for the love of god, did she really have to be so stuck-up about it?
“you’re supposed to be graceful y/n, graceful.” you heard her annoyed voice echo from behind you, “you’re moves aren’t flowing the way they’re supposed to!”
“we’re focusing on hip-hop this term, hyewon.” you bite back frustratedly. she may have been an ace dancer, but it was times like this that you remebered that hyewon favoured contemporary styles of dance above everything, “my moves aren’t supposed to look graceful–they’re supposed to look powerful.”
“yeah, i agree with y/n,” you hear dayeon who was busy doing her stretches pipe in , “this dance isn’t meant to be whimsical and pretty, she’s supposed to look fierce and passionate.”
hyewon scoffs at both of you, and with a hand on her hip, sneers at the rest of your classmates scattered across the dance room, “are you forgetting that mrs choi left me in charge for today?” she reminds haughtily and you all groan in annoyance. of all the day mrs choi had to stay absent, of course she chose today. the universe really is out to get me, you think with a miserable sigh.
“she may have left you in charge, but that doesn’t mean you’re suddenly the teacher. ” you mutter, turning around to start your routine over again.
“oh y/n... ” hyewon starts, her voice dripping fake sympathy, “do you wanna know a little secret?” her voice is loud enough to gather the attention of the rest of your peers who weren’t already paying attention to your little spat, “see…you’re not actually a good dancer.”
you freeze as you listen to the words tumbling out of her mouth, “actually,” she continues as you listen in silence, “you kind of suck. I mean, I know you go on and on about becoming a choreographer or whatever, but you’re just not good enough.”
“no good dancer would ever acknowledge a loser like you.”
you feel like your head’s being held under water as she rants on and on about terrible you were. you barely even hear dayeon and the rest of your classmates defending you. all you hear is hyewon’s words, and they burn themselves into your brain until all of your buried insecurities began resurfacing.
what if she was right?
“oh, come on,” hyewon smirks as she runs her hands through her dark hair, “i’m just letting her know-”
“no, you’re just jealous because you know she’s one step away from stealing your title as captain.” dayeon responds cooly and you feel your heart swell up in appreciation. leave it to dayeon to stand up for everybody–if anyone, you wished that she had been assigned dance leader.
hyewon bristles in anger, “nobody is ever going to acknowledge you–you got that?” she glares pointedly at you.
just as you open your mouth to defend yourself– dwindeling confidence be damed, you were not going to sit back and take hyewon’s bullshit– a series of pings and buzzes echo throughout the room. it catches everyone off guard, including hyewon and yourself, and you all give each other confused looks as you and your entire class shuffle to your discarded bags heaped up in the corner.
“how is all of our phones going off at the same time?” you ask slightly creeped out and you dig around in your messy duffle bag searching for your phone.
“no way-”
“oh my god! no way-”
“y/n, you have got to look at this!” dayeon screams, nearly yanking your arm out of its socket as she pulls you down to her level on the floor. everyone gravtates to you as she shoves her phone into your face and you blink at the brightness of her screen.
“enhypen’s tik tok account?” you mutter confusedly as you look at the screen, “i don’t understand–oh my god!” you gasp as you finally register what’s going on.
you were on their page–you. and fucking nishimura riki was duetting your video.
“oh my god–look at the tags!” one of your classmates screams excitedly as your force yourself to tear your eyes off of ni-ki duetting one of your dance videos. your heart nearly leaps out of your chest as your brain fumbles to comprehend the tagged sentences :
“we're talented right? 🤔🤩 #NI_KI #ENHYPEN”
“there’s no way this is actually happening” you whisper in shock. you can hardly believe the nishimura riki of enhypen has publicly duetted a video on their tik tok account--let alone yours.
“what did you say again hyewon?” dayeon asks gleefully from besides you, her eyes sparkling with joy at hyewon’s stunned features, “what was that you said about y/n? that she’ll never be acknowledged by a good dancer?”
“this can’t be real...” she mutters, surprise and shock colouring her words, “why would he duet you?”
“because i am a good dancer.” you grin back at her rejected figure. you don’t fully believe the words leaving your mouth--because you still have lots of room for improvement--but for once, you feel slightly empowered.
if someone like ni-ki--someone who worked relentlessly hard and chased his dreams at such a young age--could acknowledge you...then well, you had no other reason but to acknowledge yourself too.
hyewon’s pissed expression as she storms outside of the dance room only serves as the icing on top of the cake.
Tumblr media
later, when you get home and you’re settled on your couch, you open up your tik tok and grin to yourself like a madwoman. your notifications are still unread--because hyewon snitched to the principal about your class being too “noisy”, so you were forced to listen to a lecture on behaviour instead of indulging in your new found happiness.
when you finally open the app, you nearly faint seeing all of the notifications and messages in your inbox. most are filled with compliments and congratulations. but one, so obviously stands out with it’s blue verification badge next to it.
no way

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: txt x gn!reader
genre: fluff; comfort
word count: 1,1k
warning(s): mentions of stress and anxiety
requested: yes
a/n: i'm not that satisfied with these, but thanks for this cute request anon !! these also turned into something between reactions and headcannons i'm sorry 😭
Tumblr media
᠃ ⚘ choi yeonjun:
no because he’s literally going to be the one insisting that you need to take a break and go on date with him
he would try to be patient at first, he would.
but the way you were sitting at your desk, chanting repeating the same lines from your textbook, over and over again, nearly had him thinking you were speaking in tongues– he’d even check to see if there were paranormal bodies lurking around
it’d hurt him to see you agonizing so much when you’ve worked so hard
is NOT taking no for an answer
“yeonjuuuun, please, just one more hour!”
“sure. when we get back. come on yn, get off your pretty ass. let’s go on a drive.”
would take you on a long, late-afternoon drive to some pretty outdoor place he found by accident (spoiler alert: he prepared a whole picnic basket 🥺)
would lay out the blanket, then your head in his lap before running his fingers through your hair
“you’ve worked so hard, you’re going to do so well baby, i promise. and if you don’t? you’re going to be the significant other of this future baller anyway.”
᠃ ⚘ choi soobin:
is startled when you storm into his room at the dorm with a huff; you throw your bag on the floor before climbing up onto the bed next to him and attaching yourself to his side
“i thought you were studying today?”
“don’t even ask” you’d say into his chest “math could be pouring out of my ears right now and i’ll still have no less anxiety than before”
he’d coo before placing his book on the nightstand and shifting so that you’d be more comfortable, and would place a lingering kiss to your forehead
soobin knew that you were a hard worker: hence the total adoration and concern in his eyes whenever he looked at you. you always pushed yourself, and sometimes it made you lose confidence in your abilities
“come on, I have an idea”
you would spend the entire day receiving the royal treatment !!
he’d bake all sorts of things for you, cuddle with you on the couch infront of the tv, would massage your feet and shoulders (spoiler alert: he’s really good at them 🥺)
“who even likes math? but my yn still manages to do their best everytime. i’m so proud of you.”
᠃ ⚘ choi beomgyu:
immediately switches off the new song he composed when you walk into his studio, but panic morphs into concern when he sees your limbs splayed across the sofa, head buried into the cushions
“i’m going to fail this test, but i need a break before i tear this textbook apart”
is well-aware that you’ve probably been overwhelming and underestimating yourself again
he’ll probably jest to lighten the mood, but will also affirm you ALOT
“eyyyy, what are you stressed about? even i could do– what’s this? alphabet sums? yeah, i could totally do these alphabet sums! and if my half a brain cell can, you’re going to ace it, jagi!”
WILL poke you until you get up and look at him, WILL give you a big phat hug, WILL give you a phat kiss on the lips 😖
and how can your heart NOT flutter at your adorably silly boyfriend
“i’m still going to fail though”
will bonk your head and lead you to his desk, will sit you down and let you listen to that song he was so antsy about
“here, take your mind off that test and give me some feedback”
would blush hysterically when you tell him you like it– it was about you after all (you lucky fish !!)
“just like you always support me, i will always support you, yn. you’ll do great tomorrow, i know it!”
᠃ ⚘ kang taehyun:
would be waiting outside your house the minute you sent him a text
he’d been busy with schedules, and was a little disappointed when you said you couldn’t hang out during his off day because of your test
but his idea of a “break” was so not what you had in mind
you’d come out in the clothes most suitable for a date, only to find him in sweats and a jacket– mans is literally taking you on a jog 😭
“come on, yn! nothing better than a little fresh air and exercise to get that brain-juice flowing” while you’re literally gasping for air behind him
but give him a chance! he just likes to tease!
after all the running, a bicycle is waiting lmfao, he’s sitting you on the back, don’t worry!!
will wrap your arms around him as he takes you on a relaxing ride along the Han River– and some chocolate covered strawberries are waiting for you at a spot on the grass !!
will drape an arm around your shoulder and peck your check before resting your head in his shoulder.
“i’m sure you’re pretty anxious about this test, but i believe in you. and if you ever need me to explain anything to you, i’ll do the best i can to help. no matter the result, i’m always proud of you, yn.”
᠃ ⚘ huening kai:
don’t @ me, but i can totally see him taking you to the karaoke room😭
he’ll definitely be really worried when he sees how anxious you are as you sit at your desk, but being someone who doesn’t really talk himself, he’ll probably just suggest it out of the blue
“come on, let’s go to the karaoke room!”
“kai, i need to not fail bio”
would nag on you until you finally cave in (how can you withstand those puppy dog eyes and those pouty lips!)
but instead of going out, you’ll do it in the livingroom
he’ll excitedly plug in the karaoke machine and the two of you would be screaming the lyrics of pop songs at the top of your lungs
when you get tired of singing, you’ll just end up dancing around the furniture– Kai moving in the way that made him question whether or not he was actually a practical dance student or not
but you're laughing and smiling and that’s all that matters to him 🥺
when you eventually fall onto the sofa in exhaustion, he’d cuddle up to you and rest his head on your shoulder
“i love you so much. you’re so smart and so beautiful, it’s unfair! you’ll do just fine on your test, babe. i know it. spanish? ha, just bonjour it up then!”

Happy birthday Dongsa & Donghun 💙
This is 6th chapter in the Mint Swirl Series.
He laced his fingers with yours while the others was surrounding you, it had been the same Mantra when you and Donghun went on dates.
However, this date was extra special, being Donghun’s Birthday. Management didn’t want the news that two members of their band was dating. While Sehyoon took no risk with your best friend Lei standing opposite, not even stealing a glance. Donghun however, walked in front of you with Chan, he when noticing it was safe would slow his pace, Lace his fingers with yours and steal a comforting connection from you. It was often met with management scowls. But Chan would often laugh through those looks and whisper, “cute,” to you both. Since you started dating six months ago life had changed so very much. Yourself and Lei was often at their dorms, enjoying many party’s. Though Donghun and Sehyoon never let you play the Soju drinking game again in their eye shot. Junhee who was jealous for the first couple weeks with Sehyoon and Lei, had become your biggest supporter. He still flirted with you and Lei but it was in a sweetly way. Chan was like your overgrown child and would often interrupt your hugs by leaping into your laps as if he was a human kitten. However he wasn’t as innocent as he looked, he had a playful side to him and sometimes would playfully flirt with you, often when Donghun wasn’t paying him attention. Donghun didn’t speak to him for two days when one of his response to his lack of attention was to grab hold of your butt. On the other hand Byeongkwan had changed completely, he confessed he only went overboard on the flirting to force Donghun’s feelings for you. So once you had started dating he had become a great source of support. He had become one of your closest of friends and you two would often sneak away during party’s to enjoy the hidden stash of soju shots, while Sehyoon and Donghun wasn’t looking. It was your pre-party routine while Sehyoon and Donghun was off buying drinks. Sehyoon and Lei had an amusing relationship, you would hardly know they was dating unless you heard them at night, the walls was far too thin in both your apartments. You and Donghun soon learnt to swap homes, which was funny as you often got to explore sex with this beautiful man with no one to worry about walking in. Sehyoon was so quiet with you, but he was great for advice and he gave the warmest of hugs when you was sad and Donghun wasn’t around. He was rather over protective though not just of Lei but you as well. Hence why he would scold you when Donghun risked signs of DPA. He couldn’t scold his hyung so you would have the lecture, as if you could just refuse that cute fluff ball and his soul piercing smile.
As you made your way to the bowling alley that had been closed so you could date in private. Soon as the doors locked to your new private haven, Chan’s new girlfriend Saera flung her arms around him as they settled in the corner. Byeongkwan led his date to the bar for a drink, the red head westerner girl looked familiar. You had spotted her at your party’s but he didn’t look in a rush to show affection that they was dating. Junhee on the other hand was in deep conversation about sizes of bowling balls with Lei, who had Sehyoon wrapped around her. While his own date sat perched on a chair near the alley he clearly had claimed as theirs. The petit dark haired girl was engrossed in her mobile clearly avoiding what flirting Junhee was doing with Sehyoon and Lei.
The night had almost ended too fast, you beat Donghun at a game of bowling. However, your competitive side encouraged a group match, you and Byeongkwan as normal was at the top of the board. It was his last throw and you really needed him to throw a crappy ball. So you walked up to him as he was analysing how best to take a shot. “Need some help bud?” you teased. “Oie you go back to sticking your tongue down your boyfriends throat and stop distracting me,” he shot out. “So I am distracting you then?” you teased as he straightened himself to glare at you. “Five sneaky shots say you can’t beat me,” you smirked, his mischevious grin returned and he chuckled an almost evil laughter, “ha your on, your on.” Moments later You felt Donghun’s arms tighten around you and pull you in, you slouched into him as you felt his warmth hold you. Byeongkwan shot an eye at you, “Do you think you two could do that over there, you two getting off is distracting,” he moaned. “Why would you be distracted by a hug,” you laughed. Byeongkwan stood up and imitated your moans which caused you to blush as Donghun laughed into your neck, causing a shiver as his lips brushed them. “And you can cut that crap out,” he shot out. “Hyung you can go sit down, take her with you,” he shot out relining his options. “No I want to see you lose close up,” you teased. Seeing the frustration in Byeongkwan’s face was highly amusing. It was then that you felt a bulge against your back, you reached your hand behind to feel his hard on through his jeans, the touch of it had him clamp his mouth into your neck to stop the moans escaping. Your hands pressed against him more harder as you closed your eyes in to his almost panting. “What the hell,” Byeongkwan spluttered out. “You know we can see you both right,” he scoffed between smirking at seeing Donghun’s predicament but annoyed at the distraction. “If you want to give us a viewing of your sex life can you wait till after the game,” he said as Donghun threw his head into your neck as you chuckled at his embarrassment. It was then that You had the perfect idea at distracting him. Just as he went to throw the ball he had spent eternity aiming. “Oh my, Byeongkwan have you got a hard on,” you teased. He dropped the ball as his eyes shot down to his pants, which caused both you and Donghun to laugh hard that tears was escaping down your face. Especially when he blushed so red at being caught checking himself out. “How could you not know if you had a hard on or not,” Donghun said through crys of laughter. Byeongkwan was scowling now through his red cheeks that looked almost on fire. He hadn’t even noticed that he had got a strike, nor had you till his red headed girlfriend suddenly appeared swinging her arms in to him, “Haha that was brilliant,” she giggled. He noticed the X on the screen and continued with his evil laugh, “ha, your attempt at distraction sucks,” he said as you pulled Donghun’s arms tighter into you. “Right now where’s thats sex display of yours gone?” he laughed swatting Donghun’s ass.
“Dang I embarrass myself for nothing,” Donghun whispered into your neck taking the time to kiss it gently. “Hey it wasn’t for nothing I enjoyed it,” you said leaning so far into him that you felt his hard on press into you. It was then that Chan chided over asking him for advice when you noticed Byeongkwan at the bar with his girlfriend. Five shots was placed out, you knew Chan had been enrolled at distracting Donghun while Lei literally had her tongue down Sehyoon’s throat, equally distracting him. You made your way to Byeongkwan, ready to face the consequences of losing your bet.
“Come on before he notices,” Byeongkwan said as he tapped his fingers against the bar. You instantly took the first shot down spluttering at him as he smirked at you. “What the hell is this?” you asked through the burning sensation that the liquor made against your throat. “Everclear it’s strong stuff,” Byeongkwan’s girlfriend giggled. “Oh my, god it burns,” you shot out as Byeongkwan laughed while tapping the bar again. “Come on unless you want to be caught,” he teased. You took a breath and sunk the second shot coughing and spluttering, this stuff was evil. You felt yourself already tipsy, how the hell was you going to manage three more without Donghun being aware. As you took the third shot glancing at the remaining two as if you hoped it would disappear, some hands removed one of the shots. Your eyes followed it to your boyfriend who took the shot down, not showing any sign of the burning sensation against his throat. He looked so hot that a slight moan left your lips, his eyes took you in as he took your fourth shot and slung it to the back of his throat, not showing a slight reaction nor taking his eyes off you. The final shot was so erotic you had to hold on to the bar stool in front.
Before you could speak he grabbed your hands and dragged you to the bathroom. His lips instantly attacking yours as he lifted you onto the sink basin. You could taste a slight blend of pepper which your own tastebuds told you was the strange liquor you had just tried. “Your so naughty you got Chan to distract me while you got drunk,” he scolded unzipping his jeans. “I’m going to punish you so bad,” he said as he pulled his cock free. He pulled your pants aside that was soaking wet and ploughed his cock straight into you. The feeling of him taking you unexpectedly caused you to tense around him, wincing from the pain that soon followed by pleasure as he took you so fast, hungrily and selfishly. You went to kiss him and he pulled his lips back refusing your lips. Digging your nails into his back causing him to arch, he groaned thrilling you even more. He threw his head into your chest as he chased his high. Your walls tightening around him as you attempted to chase yours. He became aware that you was close at your own high that he released his body from you. Wrapping his hands round his cock as he fucked himself he looked at the mess he had made you, panting through your frustration. “Take my load in your mouth,” he ordered, you did as he said and slid your mouth down his shaft. Your hands massaged his balls as he placed his hands on the side of your head. Directing his fast forceful slams, his cock hit the back of your throat causing you to gag. He then grunted heavily as he sunk his load into your mouth, Strands falling out as his cock emerged from you. He collapsed panting into you as you sat on the floor in a silent overstimulated frustrated mess. “Everytime you disobey me and drink dangerously I’m going to be selfish and take you for my own satisfaction,” he whispered in your ear causing you to shiver.
The rest of the evening was almost unbearable, You Couldn’t keep still, the friction of your thighs even making you a mess. Even sitting down was making your needs even worse. Donghun took great pleasure at seeing you struggle and took every opportunity to make the most erotic poses. You was so turned on you was even imagining taking him right there and letting Byeongkwan get his public sex show. “Your going to bite your lip away,” Donghun whispered at you as you began to leave the bowling alley. Taking a quick last moment to lace his fingers through yours. He raised your hand to his mouth and slowly kissed it. Your body began to tingle making you moan so erotically causing him to smirk. Byeongkwan shot you a look, “Christ woman will you stop that,” he shot out pretending to look disturbed.
As soon as he walked through your apartment an hour later, after you had been dropped off to your own homes, your lips attacked his. You was so desperate for him to let you have your release. He tried pushing you away but your hands gripped him tight, you wasn’t going to allow him to avoid your needs. He chuckled into your mouth as he fought for air. “Please I’m so very sorry please relieve me,” you pleaded with tears now pricking your eyes. With that he pushed you against the door freeing his cock once again. Moving your pants aside he slammed his cock into you as you pulled your face into his neck. You let his thrusts this time more intense and lovingly take over you. It wasn’t that long before you screamed his name through your orgasm as your body thrashed against his grip on your waist. Causing him to release himself into you as you both crashed to the floor in a heaped mess. “You do know I love you right,” Donghun panted into the tangled mess you both had become. Your heart stopped, you never heard him tell you he loved you. You threaded your hands through his hair as you looked at him lovingly. Cupping his face you whispered, “I love you too Lee Donghun, more then you will ever know.”

Truly an ace of all fools.
Ares, the god of war. As Homer called him, murderous, bloodstained, the incarnate curse of mortals.
Name it, Suna knows every possible if not, unique ways to kill. He prefers the crowbar as it’s efficient and easy enough to send a person to their graves. For his very own pleasure. It fuels him especially when he sees those eyes that were once full of life drown down to darkness of death.
Suna is known as one of the notorious lads at school. He never fails to leave an astonished look to every person he has passed by at school. People are stunned whenever he walks down the hallway with his school shirt unbuttoned and crumpled. His overall appearance is unruly with the noticeable scars that lingered on his face like ches. His disheveled jet black hair. Eyes that bore nothing but darkness. Chains dangling from each of his ears. His aura that is explainable and unassailable that could even strike the thunderbolt of the great god Zeus.
Suna is handsome. He looks like bad news. Wild.
He wielded an enormous influence among girls. Some swoon at the mere sight of him; others even resorted to some chase yet ended up a crying mess. Boys even fall for his charms, but one sharp glance is enough to wave them off like flies.
However, you on the other hand are not fazed by him nor his silhouette. Which made him to be drained by a pure soul like you.
Suna is so private and closed like an abandoned establishment and that could be the sole reason why people want to pry into his life. He had everyone controlled on the palm of his hand but he can’t seem to play with you like he initially plans to.
Suna has the patience of a boar. He shows signs of violence that it’s alarming. But people seem to be in love at his bad boy facade, no one dares to report him.
He is a living contradiction. Suna is a ride, a deadly one.
He comes to school with his boisterous friends that look exactly like how he presents himself. You can always hear their uproarious banters about their lives, endless wolf-whistling. They are the group of boys you wouldn’t want to mess with. Especially the mysterious Suna.
You made a promise to get the shit out of the tracks that had traces of the boisterous boy that is  Suna.
Not just the boys that have brought out the never ending fiasco circulating around your highschool. There have been a high number of mysterious disappearances of students that you may have never heard of or slightly familiar to you that you cannot recall. Their skulls are cracked open with a brute force or a bullet to the head. Some are strangled, some are mutilated, and what makes it terrifying is that most of the victims are leading down to you.
You can still remember how Kang Hana spent her afternoon with you in the library for a philosophy project. You admit it yourself that Hana isn’t the preferable company. She’s too nosy, noisy and quite violent towards you as she keeps on hitting you on the arm whenever you spill something stupid. Nevertheless, you held no grudge towards the girl. And you were really stunned at the news of her sudden death.
Oh, you didn’t know someone was watching from the windows of the library outside. Irritability bubbles inside his body like a brook. He allows no one to go near you, let alone to hit you like a ragged doll. He always had a thing for you, he didn’t know when it started but by the way you looked at him like you are almost something to be disregarded. He is drawn to you like a moth to the flame.
It is always in Suna’s system. His mind is a bully, gushing him to do things that would make him thrilled, something that could awaken his fantasies.
He wants to kill. And he did.
He stood in all his glory, wearing his uninterested look while scrutinizing the other students walking along the hall. There at the lockers he spots Kang Hana awkwardly fumbling with the entangled bag straps.
His dark eyes bore into Hana’s figure. Eyeing her from head to toe. At this moment he is thinking of what he can possibly do with those limbs. Break it? Smash it? Mutilate it like how they do in the slaughterhouse? Suna approaches her figure, his switchblade ready in his windbreaker’s pockets.
He breaths, trying to muster his oh-so-charming smile. “Hey.”
Hana raises up her gaze and she is surprised that the notorious Suna is approaching her. Only if she knew his real intentions. “Oh my god. Hey.”
Suna is charming. Quite egocentric. It doesn’t take him long to persuade someone to sp with him or to go out on a date with him. If there is something you should be afraid about Suna, it is his ability to deceive people without them knowing his real motives. He has a calm demeanor but sometimes his arrogance fuels him to be so wild-driven.
He leads Hana to the abandoned establishment at the rundown part of the town. He made sure to give her a signal to meet him outside where no witnesses could see them. It’s always a step when considering crime, get rid of witnesses.
At this moment, Hana starts to get excited because she has foreseen what could happen. For her it’s sex. For him, it’s blood. Suna draws his switchblade near her carotid artery. She widens her eyes but laughter resonates in the eerie place.
She purrs. “I am a kinky person but I can try knife play.”
Suna doesn’t play. He draws the knife deeper to her neck until she realizes he is not joking at all. Kang Hana’s heart made a beeline for her throat and tried to make a f for her life but Suna had his strong hand gripping her hair.
She struggles but after every move she dares, the knife further penetrates her neck. Beads of sweat are dropping down to her cheeks. A hot sticky liquid from where the knife is trickling down her neck, dampening her collarbones down to her bra. She cries loud. “What do you want?!”
Suna smirks. He misses the familiar scent of blood flooding in his nostrils. “Your life.”
Her eyes widened in pure horror as the charming prince transformed quickly as a ruthless psychopath in just the blink of her eye. Hana tries to fight against his hold once again but Suna wants to finish off and not to take care of a wailing woman.
He repeatedly lash out the knife through her neck. The impact of his pounds set out her blood gushing out, splashing his pale cheeks. His right hand is dripping with her hot blood. Suna’s chest rose as his breathing became ragged but overall he felt so alive and content. He stares at Hana’s figure sprawled on the floor bathing with the pool of her own blood. Suna felt so driven with just crimson clouding his vision. He runs his tongue on the rows of his pearly teeth, a sinister smile tugging the corners of his lips. He did it for you.
The following days have been hell for you. No, you weren’t killed but you faced a frightening number of police interrogations for the victims were always drawing down to you. Like Hana, you were the last person she was with before her neck was slashed out like a cow in the slaughterhouse. The pulse of a blue and red strobe from the police mace being parked in the circular driveway. You stare at the officer's badge, his holstered Glock. The night air settles the eerie night, still, gauzy full of humidity.
The interview lasts about a good hour but you are deemed innocent as Hana’s whereabouts where the crime took place didn’t match your activity. Her clothes are missing on the spot but the investigators found it drenched in this liquid they believed was an oxygen producing detergent didn’t match. Since the laboratory personnel couldn’t get any fingerprints from her body, it has been declared useless for the crime.
It has been weeks since you find yourself able to breathe again but it didn’t last long when you were bombarded with unknown and creepy messages that you couldn’t withstand at all.
I know you. From everything you do, I know it all.
You belong to me, your full name.
I find it romantic to see how excited you look whenever I send these messages. Shall I start sending my pictures as well? Or the throne I made for you?
From morning you go to your mother’s flower shop to gather primrose to deliver to your grandfather that lives in the twenty second street downtown.
Your favorite thing to do is to draw, my sweet. I am right, am I? I’m always right.
I saw you talk to that small loser from class D. Now don’t ever talk to him again or you will see his head delivered right at your doorstep. I love you and I’m being the nice guy here.
Do you perhaps like the idea of your friend's limbs personally delivered to you? Your pick.
I am always watching you, your name.
Oh, you had a museum date with your friends? Don’t go, I am at your grandmother’s restaurant, she serves the ultimate broth soup. Too bad I can stop her from serving these delicacies.
I know deep down, you love me too. Don’t you ever try to date behind my back without telling me. I did kill for you.
Your parents aren’t home. Do you want me to visit?
So much love for you. Your long secret admirer :)
I love you. I will kill for you.
He isn’t joking. He knows everything about you. All the meticulous details no one knows but your family. Whenever you receive a message from him, your heart would pound against your rib cage. It terrifies you to the core that he exactly knows the precise details of your whereabouts.
You immediately reported this matter to the police, to your parents but it didn’t settle the problem. The number isn’t traceable. They keep on insisting that the number used is from an unregistered sim. You fear for your life, your personal space, everything.
You weren’t just experiencing the never ending terror of your stalker’s messages. But some of your things are now starting to disappear, from your bracelets, your baby pictures now, now, your white lacy underwear.
You are blissfully unaware of the pair of eyes that follows every movement as you exit the school grounds. He looks down on his hand, gripping his favorite underwear of you. He had a picture when you wore the garment, and it was his favorite among all.
He makes his way to his heavily tinted car, a smile never leaving Suna's face as he clutches the garment tightly on his hands. His soulless eyes stared back at him the moment he stared at the rear view mirror. And drives to the nearest convenience store.
He keeps on fantasizing about you. The way your name rolls out of his tongue while jerking out never fails to send himself to ecstasy. He can’t wait to meet you, but one thing he is sure of, he will be watching you tonight.
Suna is always a step ahead of his plans. He is meticulous and calculative. His plans never backfire for he knew what methods to use. For the days he has been killing he already knows how to get rid of evidence that could lead to him.  The boy’s got a sharp tongue as well, a serpent’s, he uses lies to cover up the real  Suna that hides behind the charming facade he puts front.
He wore black. Black that is a mystery. Eerie. He wears a black bucket hat that covers his beautiful features that compliments his youth. Despite the dusk ebbing its way, his moles are always as alive as the constellation. He secures his mask tighter on both ears, as appealing as it sounds, he cannot show his face to you, just not yet. He had a thing to do, he had something to accomplish.
“Just in time” he breathed into the shadows. His eyes follow your figure marching down the dim lit streets. A smirk paints his lips as you still try to swat everything and thinking to yourself everything is still normal. But no, not until he is dead. He could have easily needle out your background from Kita but you were his and it gives him satisfaction whenever he discovers something about you. Things that aren’t open for others but just for him.
He immediately hid behind a large tree, once you entered your home. He makes sure to secure a great and measurable distance from him to you, not so far yet so near. He clenches his fist, the idea of watching you undress from your windows sends him a big wave of pleasure.
He begins to scramble up trying to get a hold of the strongest branch his forearm could manage. Some twigs tried to interrupt him midway but nothing can stop a hungry predator from lurking on his prey. He finds the perfect spot just parallel to your window.
“Fuck” he hiss as he felt his phone vibrate from his pocket. “What it is now  fucking Atsumu?”
“Lover boy, I forgot to place your camera in your bag, bye.”
The camera is not his top most concern. He has his phone that is full of you.
You were humming quietly. He follows your hands, removing your school blouse that left the boy’s mouth agape. His cock immediately hardens at the sight, and he cannot risk himself to jerk while on the tree. He scrambles immediately, carelessly fishing out for his phone to take a picture of you naked.
Suna is always not satisfied with the bare minimum. He records you, doing your private thing in your room. He is biting hard on his lips, his erection sticking out painfully against his pants. He has to endure much longer till you have finished your routine applying lotion to your shiny long legs. Those legs that he can’t wait to touch.
Suna left the place shortly. He’s astounded. You drive him wild and wild he is. You fuel the monster more.

I'm sorry if this took too long!
Tumblr media
Yeonjun stood in front of the Castle of Spades. Soobin, his loyal White Rabbit stood beside him. He was ready to get you away from the duke.
Soon, he enters the castle and was greeted by the guards of spades. He walked past them- he did not care. He came here for you and to bring you to his castle as the Alice of Hearts.
"Oh my, oh my! What is the King of Hearts and his White Rabbit doing here?" Yeonjun heaved a sigh while he halted his steps. He looked in front to see Choi Beomgyu, the Ace of Clovers.
"That's my question, Ace of Clovers; what are you doing in the Kingdom of Spades?" Yeonjun glared at him, Beomgyu pulled out his sword, and pointed it at Yeonjun.
Immediately, Soobin stood in front of him. A gun in his hand, directly pointed at Beomgyu who was smirking. "The Duke told me to guard the place. After all, people might take y/n away from him!"
Yeonjun felt angry, "they are mine, Choi Beomgyu! If you can't understand that then go to hell." He nodded at Soobin who pulled the trigger on Beomgyu.
Fortunately for the Ace, his sword shielded him from the bullet. However, it shot a servant. Both continued to do that until Yeonjun passed them.
"Uh-oh, not so fast, your majesty!" Beomgyu tumbled back to reach Yeonjun. He stopped in front of him and the blade of his sword was pointed at Yeonjun's neck.
"Yeonjun-," Soobin wailed.
"Not so fast, bunny boy. Your king's in a tight spot." Oh, how much Yeonjun wanted to wipe the smirk out of Beomgyu's face.
Suddenly, they heard steps coming closer to them, "thanks for helping out, Beomgyu." There goes Yeonjun's annoyance, the duke of Spades, Kang Taehyun.
He had his Knight, Huening Kai beside him. Beside Huening Kai was you; you were surprised to see Yeonjun, especially after court the day before.
"You're here for y/n, aren't you?" Taehyun asked to which Yeonjun stepped forward.
"y/n, you don't belong here! You belong in the Kingdom of Hearts! You belong with me!" Yeonjun protested, however, the look of hesitation lingered on your face.
"After you tried to execute them yesterday? You think they would go with you?" Taehyun snarled when suddenly, Yeonjun pulled out a gun.
He pointed it at Taehyun with an angry expression. Yeonjun's eyes were fuming, and the room got hotter. The King was angry, anyone could tell. Taehyun though was unfazed.
"Y-Yeonjun, stop! I know that it's normal for people to pull out guns here but not at him!" You stood in front of Taehyun.
"What does he have that I don't?" Yeonjun pouted which made Taehyun laugh.
"Simple! You and your people don't have mercy and honesty. Your people are always lying because they think they are superior! Tell me this, Yeonjun- your kingdom is on top because it was the first country here!" Taehyun pulls out a gun as well, points it at Yeonjun.
"Your people is what got y/n almost executed! You didn't even look throughly for any evidence against them! And you think they want to stay in the Kingdom of Hearts!?" Taehyun was starting to get angry as well.
"Shut up, Kang Taehyun! I'm asking y/n, not you!" Yeonjun was on the brink of shooting the trigger. Anger countied to fume after taking a glance of your worried expression at Taehyun.
And suddenly... He presses the trigger. It did miss Taehyun by an inch. "Yeonjun!" You angrily stared at the king.
He looks down, "y/n, please... Come back to kingdom of hearts with me."
Taehyun held your arm tightly. He looked hesitant, however, that disappeared after a minute.
"Fine," Taehyun lets you go- he pushed you forward, towards Yeonjun.
"y/n, go to him." He smiles to which you did. Although, the white rabbit, Soobin who stood behind Yeonjun found it suspicious.
Taehyun's giving in? That easily?
When you stepped in front of Yeonjun, he hugs you immediately. "Yeon-,"
"I'm now declaring war against the Kingdom of Hearts!" Taehyun aims his gun to the ceiling. You flinched and Soobin stood in front of you and Yeonjun.
You faced Taehyun who had a smirk on his face. Huening Kai and Beomgyu stood beside him.
"I'll make sure your kingdom falls down the deck and I'll make sure to get y/n away from you. As the Duke of Spades, I'll make your blood drip down my deck of cards." Taehyun declares.
"The war-," he points his gun at Soobin.
"Starts now!"

boo!
you and minhee are playing a surprise game together, and minhee has something up his sleeve to ensure his win (and a treat to his favorite food).
minhee x reader oneshot // fluff
word count: 2.2k words
Tumblr media
classes have ended for the day, and minhee made his way straight to the school library to work on a paper that is due in a few days. he took his regular spot at the back part of the library (that no one knows of, perfect for distraction-free work) and settles his bag and things on the table.
he turned around, leaving the table, and headed over to a nearby section of the library where the book he needed was. scanning the books on the shelves, minhee took his time looking for that certain psychology book he needed for the paper.
his eyes then fell on the spine of the book he was looking for. “there you are.” he mumbled as he took the book and slid it away from the shelf.
“boo!” just as the book was out of the shelf, you appeared behind it and gave minhee a scare. “surprise!”
minhee’s expression remained flat and undisturbed. “nice try, y/n. but nope,” minhee shook his head and shrugged. “not enough shock factor.”
a pout appeared on your face as you sulkily retreated and made your way around the shelf, meeting up with minhee. “i thought i almost had you.”
“try better next time. you can do it!” minhee cheered and ruffled your hair, obviously being sarcastic.
“you should say that to yourself, you haven’t been successful with your attempts too, you know!” you whined as you tagged along with minhee back to his table.
“at least mine made you flinch a little.” stopping to turn around, minhee pointed his book towards you as he raised a brow. “am i right, or am i right?”
“hmph, but that still doesn’t mean you’ve won our challenge.” you stuck out your tongue and walked past him.
just a few days ago, you and minhee agreed on a little game between the two of you— the first one to surprise the other and make them react wins! the only rule is that you must have to make the other person surprised enough that they would react largely, like screaming or jumping or making them scared speechless. flinching was okay though, the two of you agreed on that.
the winning prize is what drives both of you. winning the challenge meant that the other person will treat the winner to whatever food they wanted.
your feet shuffled over to the table you and minhee would always occupy, with minhee following right behind you. “so, what brings you here other than attempting to scare my soul out?” minhee casually asked as he took his seat.
you took the seat right across him, and laid your head on the wooden table. “nothing else other than that….i just knew you were coming here,” you looked up to face him. “and i miss you.”
minhee’s eyes focused on yours, and he stopped what he was doing to mirror your position on the table. “is my dear y/n being clingy to me right now?”
“and what if i am?”
minhee giggled, showing his dorky smile you love so much. “it makes you look cute. i like it.”
after hearing those words, you couldn’t control the smile gracing your lips. you like it when minhee’s like this, being so open with his thoughts and what he likes about you. it makes your heart melt in a soft and mushy way.
“alright,” minhee rose from the desk and went back to the book he was skimming. “if you’ll excuse me, i have a paper to do.”
“can i stay here? i promise i won’t bother you.” you put your hands together as a silent way of saying ‘please’.
“hm….and what if i said no?”
the bright expression you had dropped, your hands falling and you started pouting again. “i can’t believe you.” you said.
opposite your expression, minhee softly laughed at your sudden change in mood. “i’m kidding, of course you can stay.” he pinched your cheek as he replied.
slowly you started to smile again, gaining energy after minhee approved of you staying with him as he worked on his paper. meeting up with him for the first time today, you missed him a little more than usual.
“hey minhee, do you know that—“
“—you love me so much that your heart might burst out of your chest? yes, yes i do.”
it made you giggle at how he instantly knew what you were going to say. “aww, are we finishing each other’s sentences now?”
“you say this almost everyday, for multiple times too. of course i would have it memorized by now.” minhee gave your hair a ruffle as he replied, while you swung your legs under the desk with a sheepish smile.
in this secluded section of the library, no one else was staying here. and nobody plans on settling here anytime soon. minhee loved working alone, without anyone there to bother and distract him.
but you were an obvious exception.
as you continued to watch minhee read the book, you slowly started to feel your heart flutter. or is it melting? or both? you didn’t know, but what you did know is that you truly felt happy at that moment now that you’re in a relationship with the man in front of you.
yes, you’re whipped for kang minhee.
Tumblr media
a big yawn escaped your lips as you lazily dragged your feet along the sidewalk. you spent all night trying to study for an exam you had today, with the help of minhee’s reviewer that he gave to you the day before. honestly, he’s a gift sent from the gods. without that reviewer? there’s a high chance you’ll just be staring at the exam paper later, and that your score will come crashing to the ground.
just a few steps away, you were nearing the school gate. it was still quite early, two or three students were on their way as well walking to the school. you weren’t always this early, but you thought that you needed some extra time to study before the exam just to make sure.
you were about to go through the gate, enter the school premises, but someone jumped from the side to give you a surprise. “y/n!!” you halted in place. “surprise!”
minhee appeared in front of you, giving you a wide smile and his hands in the air. meanwhile, you burst out laughing. “you think i would get surprised from that?”
a frown replaced minhee’s grin. “well, it’s worth a shot. you were sleepy so i thought i should take advantage of that,” minhee went to your side. “you know, much easier to scare.”
“oh i’m not that easy to surprise, minhee. try again next time!” you patted his back, trying to sound sarcastic. minhee rolled his eyes at you in response.
the two of you headed inside the school building, and minhee dropped you off first at your classroom. “you can return the reviewer later after classes. good luck, y/n.” minhee gave a few pats to your head, the act making you soft.
“thanks, minhee. you’re honestly a lifesaver.” you replied.
“well, what would you do without me?” he pinched both of your cheeks playfully. a soft laugh escaped your lips, grabbing his hands and putting them down from your face.
“okay, i better get studying now.” you swung his arms around. “i’ll see you later!”
“alright,” minhee then gave a small peck to your forehead. “you better ace that test, i worked hard on that reviewer you know.”
a blush grew on your face as you put your hand on where minhee kissed you. “yeah….i-i’ll do my best.”
minhee let out a laugh at how flustered you became, and you hit his arm in return. being all clingy was one thing, but the little forehead kisses were something you were still not used to getting from him.
and with that, minhee gave you one last pat on the head and left.
on the way to his classroom just down the hall, an idea popped into minhee’s head.
‘ah, that’d be a good idea. i’ll definitely win with this.’
Tumblr media
classes just ended, and you quickly put your things in your bag to run over to minhee’s classroom. thankfully most of the students were heading out, so you were able to camouflage with the swarm of people in the hallway.
you were about to do another attempt by surprising minhee just as he’s about to leave the room. you needed to pass by his classroom’s window though, so you tried your best to blend in with the other students walking.
minhee, on the other hand, just finished writing down his lecture notes to study later. he closed his notebook and started putting his stuff into his bag.
he turned to the window to see the numerous students walking down the hall to go home, but his sharp eyes caught the sight of you. a grin formed on his lips, zipping his bag closed and standing up from his seat.
as you hid behind the corner by the entrance to the room, you planned out how you were going to surprise him. you started chuckling at the ideas popping into your mind, hoping that this time you’ll finally be able to win.
minutes pass and minhee hasn’t left the room. the volume of students in the hall started to lessen, and you were growing a little impatient.
‘where is he?’, you thought. you slowly started to relax as you waited for minhee to get out of the room. ‘he sure is taking his time there.’
“alright, see you tomorrow!” you heard minhee’s voice ring from the room. your relaxed demeanor quickly vanished as you got yourself ready to give minhee a big scare.
“finally,” you mumbled. “i’m getting you this time.”
you waited as the anticipation started to grow inside you. footsteps were heard and you assumed it to be minhee’s. you stayed as quiet as you possibly could to not let him notice that someone’s just outside the room, ready to scare him.
the shuffling was getting closer, and as it did the more your heart started to beat out of excitement. ‘come on,’ you pleaded. ‘hurry up, minhee.’
but it suddenly stopped. you couldn’t hear anything, it’s like the footsteps just vanished.
“huh?” you grew puzzled, so you decided to peek through the corner—
“hey, y/n!” minhee suddenly appeared in front of you, and leaned forward,
to give you a soft kiss on the lips.
your eyes grew as wide as they could, the amount of shock was evident in them. as if it was magic, the kiss gave you a freezing spell. you were so frozen, even when minhee pulled away you were still in the same position when he gave you the kiss.
minhee raised an eyebrow and waved his hand in front of your face. “uh, y/n, you there? you still good?”
you were still clearly in shock, and you raised your hand to touch your lips. “you….kissed me.” you said softly, still as frozen as you were.
minhee started to grin, thinking this is entertaining for him. “yeah, i did. did you like it?”
after realizing what happened, your face started to heat up into a bright red. snapping out of your daze, you looked at minhee straight in the eyes. “y-you kissed me!” you repeated your words, still in disbelief. “that was the first time you ever kissed me….my f-first kiss!” you continued to be a blushing mess, and minhee burst into a laugh at how flustered you are.
“what? am i not allowed to give you a kiss on the lips?”
“no! yes! i mean...” you stumbled on your words, your head still dizzy from what happened.
minhee was clearly enjoying this, enjoying how much of a mess you’re becoming in front of him. “come on, you’re treating me today.” he said as he took the backpack you were wearing and slung it along with his bag.
“huh? what for?”
“well, clearly i won the challenge right?”
“challenge?”
“yeah. you know, the surprise challenge we both set?” minhee raised his eyebrows at you. “don’t back out on me now, y/n.”
your head was still fuzzy from what happened, taking the time to fully comprehend that you actually lost the challenge you were so set on winning. “so that was your plan all along…” the string of words left your mouth instead of staying in your head like it was supposed to.
with minhee hearing those words he nodded and gave a pat to your head. he proceeded to walk to the stairs at the end of the hall.
“kang minhee!” you exclaimed after a few seconds, minhee being steps away from you already. your voice was laced with frustration and a bit of whining. “i hate you!”
a wholehearted laugh escaped minhee’s lips, clearly not getting the words that slipped out of your mouth. “i love you too, y/n! now come on, i’m hungry.” he gestured for you to come to his side, opening his arms as an invite for a hug.
despite your boiling anger towards minhee and how he won the challenge through a surprise kiss, you still couldn’t resist running over to his side and embracing him like you didn’t just wanted to punch him straight in the gut.
well, after all,
you’re whipped for kang minhee.
