@spookyspeks No see. It doesn’t matter it was an inherited dog. Scrooge would have either sold the dog on arrival or kicked it out into the streets. Scrooge is a man who walks past human children dying in front of him and shakes his head thinking “These kids should be in prison.” Someone told me it’s the 2022 animated film’s attempt to humanise and show (to kids) how Scrooge has a thread of good in him but honestly they shouldn’t. Dickens seemingly intended Scrooge to be the worst human being who ever walked the Earth with not a shred of kindness or compassion left in his miserly old body…which is why his transformation is so dramatic and instructive! If Scrooge, the horror he is, can change than anyone can change!

Why would Scrooge have a dog? He was too cheap to buy fuel for a fire, I mean the large house he lives in is second hand and belonged to Marley which is in the banking district and mostly zoned for offices. Do you honestly think he’d pay any amount of money for a dog and it’s upkeep like food?
