Carrie's father and Jason's first obstacle in his relationship with the former. Ambrose Bates, sometimes called "Abe" for short is a rather powerful necromancer. It's thanks to his power to raise the dead that he was able to resurrect his daughter after she was murdered.

Speaking of the murder, it's the reason ol' Abe doesn't have much trust in humans, especially ones that try to date his baby girl. Bad news for Jason...even the boy defeated him in a rap battle, the man is still hellbent on wanting him dead. Not to exactly end the relationship...but to change it in a rather...twisted way.

After all, a ghost wouldn't dare to kill another ghost...would they?

There’s energy drink in sticky puddles across the floor seeping into cracks. Cans strewn from the sliding doors and around into other aisles. The air smells too sweet and the tension is building to an uncomfortable level.

Louis prides himself on not backing down from uncomfortable situations normally, but this isn’t one of those times. He turns on his heels, cautious not to knock over anything a second time. One public embarrassment is enough for the day. He’s out the door in seconds, red faced with heat settling in his temples and cheeks.

“What just happened?” he huffs out.

This was a short and sweet story filled with new and evolving relationships, vivid and lush scenery, and a cute and classic storyline.  There are some super amusing moments that will make you chuckle!

Carefree. Confident. Over the top. Nick may be a bit of a disaster, but no one can deny the mood for Leo season suits him.

This is a delightful fic with plenty of banter and sex appeal, just right for readers in the mood for something flirty and fun.

Of Swords and Sage — etchasketchcity

Liam knows that Harry, the innkeeper’s son, dislikes him. He won’t go so far as hate, since he doesn’t seem capable of anything stronger than stirring the soup cauldron or, more importantly, rolling a casket of mead into place behind the inn’s serving counter. Hate is definitely too strong a word. Annoyed, maybe. Disapproving, definitely.

But Liam doesn’t concern himself with the intractable approval of the innkeeper’s son. He’s here for a job, not to fraternize. In fact, if there’s one thing he’s learned from his travels since he’s picked up his bow and his sword, it’s that making friends with the locals only makes his job more complicated. And Liam has never liked complicated.

This fic does a really good job of immersing you in its fantasy world of witches and hunters and magic, dropping you right into a tale that’s, at times, both gruesome and haunting. But the underlying tension between the main characters and their shifting understanding of each other truly brings a light that shines in the darkness and ultimately leaves you wanting more.

Named after anyone? No, my mum was just set on me having an irish name that baffles the english

Have any kids? No

Use sarcasm a lot? Not really. I used to in the past but how I communicate has changed a lot over the years. I find sarcasm quite mean spirited these days - but that might be because i can miss when people are using it and so get awkward or unkind reactions from people because of that.

Last time cried? The Friday just gone. We had just finished moving house (or at least finished moving the furniture) and i was so tired but something had gone wrong. Had a bit of a breakdown after weeks of trying to keep numerous things together.

First thing about others noticed? I dont really know. Notice different things with different people.

Eye colour? Blue

Sport you play or have played? None lol. i cycle regularly for work and leisure, attempted skateboarding but thats on hold, love walking around and taking things in. other than that, i dont really like sports.

Any special talents? I've been told im "good at conversation." and after meeting a lot of new people the last few years, im starting to realise it is actually a bit of a talent/skill.

Cyrus Sheridan Rosenbaum is the main antagonist and final boss of a Castlevania-like game known as "Darkslayers: Rondo of Thorns". Don't let his looks fool you, he's not called the "Prince of Darkness" by the NPCs just for being a pretty face.

In the game's lore, Cyrus is a descendant of the famed vampire known as Carmilla (of Sheridan Le Fanu's eponymous novel). He carries on the legacy of vampires who's ambitions grew into a wicked lust for power (among other things), only to be slain by the descendant of the slayer who took down Carmilla many years ago (so a Zelda or Jojo's Bizzare Adventure scenario basically).

In Week 6 (called "Rondo of Thorns") Jason and Carrie are thrust into the game world by Carrie's father in an attempt to have Jason kick the bucket (So Jason will become a ghost and thus be a "better" fit for his daughter). And thus meet face-to-face with the count himself.

But as the night goes on, Carrie and Jason will realize that Cyrus will be the least of their worries...

It isn’t until Bucky finds himself standing in his boxers, staring down at Steve’s suit, that he wonders if this is a good idea. He glances toward the cat for reassurance.

naomi wildman and icheb! i love how seven gets to take on an older sibling/mentor role. i think her relationship with icheb really helps seven begin to understand and heal from her own trauma as well as helping icheb through his. i also love the way seven and janeway learn a lot from each other about humanity and identity.

a headcanon that is popular in the fandom but that i disagree with

not sure! but i do have one that i absolutely agree with, which is that seven is autistic 😊

i feel like after years of sleeping upright in her regeneration alcove it’d be weird for her to sleep in any other position than flat on her back. that or upright and held up by something (i’m picturing the way astronauts sleep in low/no grav in those lil sleeping pack with strap things).

Jason Steinbeck is a 19 year old college student. Personality wise he's usually the straight man in most situations, though sarcastic, smug, and a little bit careless.

You'd think he'd learn to stray from the affairs of the paranormal after his near-death experience. Which led him to getting hospitalized. But after meeting Carrie one night as he was recovering, he gets thrust back into the spooky shenanigans of his world. As not only is Carrie a ghost, but her dad is a necromancer...and he's not all that fond of humans, especially ones that try to date his daughter....
