I went to the karaoke party tonight. I love karaoke, and at this convention the sign up opportunity is in the afternoon; convention attendees can sign up for the chance to sing one song. So I’d been crossing my fingers all day. I have my song ready to go. I get in the room… I’m in the standing audience with some new friends I made earlier in the day. Adam Fergus is hosting. DJ Qualls is co-hosting. Adam says they’re about to start and the first person called to sing will also win a selfie photo op with him (karaoke selfies are one of the photo ops you can purchase).

He calls the first name….. Erin McElroy!!! That’s me! I’m shocked!!!!!! I get up there and DJ asked what song I’ll be singing. I tell everyone I’ll be singing Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me from Rocky Horror Picture Show. I’m nervous.. excited.. and so thankful I know that song so well! The monitor with the lyrics kept cutting out. 🤣

I nailed it.. I go dance with my new friends. Later, I get my selfie with Adam. He complimented me again. Random folks from the audience throughout the rest of the evening complimented me. I’m still glowing!

Dreams come true. Did I mention Bon Jovi is my fav band ever? That last time I was in Vegas was to meet Bon Jovi? Rockstar!Jensen singing Bon Jovi when the original reason I came to the con was to hear Jensen sing and check off my bucket list that was last checked off in this town by meeting Bon Jovi. 🤯
