A #workinprogress Some people call him Marvin but I call him Orange! (Because he's orange.) For date night my wife and I raided #hobbylobby where I picked up new paints and brushes. I've gone back to basics and am mixing my own colors from a split primary palette. CMY for cools and RGB for warms. Plus white but no black. Acrylics are more saturated than oils and the opacity is way less (except white). So I'm figuring out how to make those adjustments. I'm also trying to be mindful of temperature. I'm getting better with the extender medium which was a great help with the underpainting but it makes the paint take forever to dry, even under a fan. I'm seeing more confidence with my strokes which means I'm starting to understand how to lay acrylics down. Also, my Vekkia rechargable light arrived today, thanks to #Amazon and so far I really like it.
