♨ So what did she prescribe? Love, it was the only medicine! That and prednisone

♨ She's almost as lenient as Marie but as caring as Callie

♨ Since she was in the military, she learned a bunch of ways to treat sick people, so she's a wiz at this

♨ She doesn't want you completely immobilized, so she lets you help with chores and cooking

♨ Will check in with you every once is a while, but when she does she asks a gazillion questions at a time

♨ Shiver, being the youngest of the Hohojiro family, doesn't know all that much about medicine

♨ She makes a bit more of a deal about it than she should

♨ You got sick around the leader splatfest (that goes for all of Deep Cut), so of course Shiver was all over you during the halftime break

♨ ❝ (N/N)? Please tell me you're okay! You haven't thrown up, right? Do you have a fever? I could get you some water and a fan if you do!

♨ She asked when all you wanted was a Crabby Cake.

♨ Shiver, no matter how much she loves you, will never admit that she had to get help from someone else

♨ Takes you everywhere just so you're in her sight, even while she's out banditting

♨ Orders Master Mega (or one of the Deep Cut members) to carry you around everywhere

♨ She mostly cooks you spicy food, even if it's mild

Frye

♨ Frye's family has a bunch of remedies that probably aren't safe to the public

♨ Big Man has repeatedly told her not to use these remedies as a last resort

♨ ❝ Just take 3 of these a day, she says as she holds up what is possibly the most toxic food known to inkling and octoling kind

♨ Other than that, she's good at treating people. Like i said before, she's got siblings, so she kinda had to be

♨ Frye's like Marie when it comes to stuff like this because she also believes that, as long as you're not on your death bed, you'll be fine

♨ With that said, she will not hesitate to carry you around and do everything for you

♨ ❝ Oh, yeah, no, straight to bed! C'mon, I'll carry you! You can work, but don't overwork yourself, man! I'll finish cleaning the dishes, just don't die on me!

♨ And since he's a naturally caring person he makes a great caretaker

♨ Mostly cooks you sour food, even if it's mild

♨ He is always prepared; he's got tons of medicine and tissues for when you guys go out together (and barf bags..)

♨ Big Man believes you're a capable person, so he'll also let you help with chores and cooking until he sees that you're tired/dizzy

♨ Then he'll send you right back to bed and spend the rest of the day caring for you

♨ Acht seems like a "tough love" kinda character (that's also very caring at the same time), so that's why I feel like they'd be another character like that

♨ Though they still cook and clean for you from time to time! Albeit they're.. not the best cook..

♨ Sometimes, if they think you've worked enough, they'll throw you over the shoulder and carry you

TW: Mentions of ED stuff and body isecurity(because i've struggled with both of those before and wanted to include them)

Callie:

She would love you no matter what you look like.

She thinks you are the cutest thing ever!!!

She is really into fashion and likes to take you shopping to pick out clothes for you. If you have trouble finding clothes that match your style in your size she will pay to get stuff tailored just for you. No price is too high for her adorable partner to look even cuter <3

If you are insecure about certain parts of your body she doesn't really get it but is willing to work with you to pick clothes that hide certain things or accentuate others.

She loves your tummy. She will kiss it and blow raspberries on it. She is a very goofy inkling and loves you lots.

She loves your thighs too. She wants to lay her head in your lap and take a nap. She really just loves cuddling with you. Expect a lot of cuddles on the couch, in bed, anywhere really. And she falls asleep super easy in your presence as well.

This girl is military trained, has the stamina of an idol, and her weapon of choice is a massive roller she swings around like it weighs nothing. She can and will pick you up. She will pick you up and kiss all over your face while giggling.

If you are ever insecure about eating too much, she will never judge you. This girlie loves food and is constantly muching on something. If you have a bad relationship with food she would be very sweet and work to repair it slowly with you.

She doesn't even notice or care. It doesn't cross her mind at all that you look any different than anyone else. She doesn't pay attention to appearances most of the time.

She loves having her partners sit on her lap, and you are no exception. Get on there. If you worry about hurting her she will just pull you onto her lap and wrap her arms around your middle, probably leaving you a blushing mess.

Marie has mastered the art of glaring, and will send a look that could kill to anyone who dares to make a comment about how you look.

Marie is naturally less active then her cousin and probably worked hard to stay thin back when she was younger, working hard to be the ideal idol she thought her fans wanted to see. So if you are ever insecure or potentially have a bad relationship with your own body/food/exercise she will understand and is very supportive of you. Marie has been there and she is always going to stand by you and support you.

Marie loves nothing more than lazy days where you both stay home and chill. Play video games, read, or just chill with her. Anything is fine as long as you two are in each others presence.

Usually doesn't want the media to be all up in her face about y'alls relationship but she does take a bit of pride in bringing you to events and such.

Marina:

This girl is so in love with you. She is obsessed. She fawns over you so hard and views you as a literal goddess. It never once crosses her mind that you might be insecure in any way.

To Marina, you are the prettiest person to ever exist and to change anything about you would be sacrilegious.

But if you ever need reassurance, she will shower you with endless compliments. She will kiss every inch of your skin, praising you as she goes.

If you have a hard time with food, she's there to work with you. She has trouble with food for sensory issue reasons, so it may not be for the same reason you do, but she will try to help. She is a total nerd and knows how to balance a diet so you get enough nutrition, regardless of what your brain tells you is "healthy" to eat or not.

If you have any stretch marks she thinks they are so pretty, she will run her fingers along them and kiss them. She is enamoured by your body and every single blemish or freckle on it is something she wants to memorize.

She is known for staying up too late, but she loves cuddling with you. So all you have to do to get her to come to bed is invite her to lay with you.

Pearl is like a terrifying dog you can sick on people. She is feral and if anyone so much as says one bad things about the way you look she is destroying them mind, body, and soul. She will diss them so hard they never want to show their face ever again. And you may have to restrain her from physically attacking them as well.

Pearl loves lazy days with you where y'all just chill at home and do whatever. But she also loves going out with you as well! Pearl will gift you expensive clothes, jewelry, etc and take you out and show you off. She's so proud to have you as a partner and you are the light of her life.

She's like a little chihuahua who thinks it can do anything, and as her partner you get to stand by her side and watch her take on the whole world.

She is 100% showing you off to the media(as long as you don't mind!) She leaves no questions about your relationship, her hand is always somewhere on you. She sees a camera pointed at you two and she pulls you to her by the waist and kisses you deeply.

She would be the kind of person who likes to hand feed her partner food, she just thinks seeing you happy as you bite into your favorite food is the best thing ever to her.

Just let her take care of everything for you. Let her take you shopping and pick out clothes for you, dressing you up in pretty little outfits and paying for everything.

If you have any stretch marks she loves running her fingers over them and feeling the different texture compared to the rest of your skin.

Frye admires you body a lot. Frye is mostly sharp lines with pointy features and lean, muscular frame. But you are so soft and curvy, she thinks you are just the cutest thing around.

She may be a bit clueless sometimes, so if you tell her you have trouble with food/eating her immediate reaction is "BUT FOOD IS SO GOOD HOW CAN YOU DO THAT???"

But once you explain to her why you feel the way you do, she will be very compassionate and sweet.

Frye WILL give you nicknames. They probably start out goofy, ut become genuine. She calls you less than common things (mostly food) like "my little cheesecake" or "my cutie crab cake". Don't question it.

She is fascinated by any stretch marks you have, and she thinks they look like a sick lightning bolt pattern. She might compare you to lightning mcqueen. -Pearls usually cuddles you whenever she wants, but it's mischievous knowing her. ALWAYS gets a mischievous Twinkle in eyes and smirk on face before she tickles you or decides to bite you for some reason. A ball of unpredictable mischievousness that loves you to bits!

-however.. afer shows its a little bit different, usually she wants to be held and be in your arms! Better to reach when she wants to tease you! How else is she supposed to wake you up even she does get slapped or you be pouty/grumpy.. she loves to tease you when you are >:3

-After shows she's still slightly mischievous, but.. she just wants to hold you. Please tell her she did amazing and let her just talk till she falls asleep. It may sound like nonsense at points, but she's trying guys!

Pearl's throat burnt slightly, all that singing was worth it, however.. the inkling melted into the bed that you and she shared. It felt so nice on a tense body.. she'd tightend her hold around you staring tiredly at you. "Hey." She'd catch your attention making you look at her. Too which she gave a sloppy smirk and poked you. "How'd I do? I better have done good,.." she sounded slightly sleepy, so her playful threat failed. You roll your eyes and stare at your tired girlfriend. "You did amazing! But, didn't I just tell you to rest your voice pearlie?" You remind. "Yeah yeah.." she blinked in annoyance.

-Marina likes cuddles but isn't as needy for them as Pearl is. It helps her relax when she gets nervous and before and after shows. Usually your backstage so you can give her some assuring affection then before she starts.

After shows, she wants to be in your arms, however. You both take turns spooning each other usually. But after shows please just hold her and rub her back. Praise her performance and tell her how amazing she is.

-Her voice is probably also sore, as goes for all the idols so she may mutter small "I love you" or tickle you so she can hear you laugh. It cheers her up when she's tired.

A different kind of Inkfish (Marina x Octoling!Reader)

You were sitting outside of Crusty Sean's food truck, you stared at the menu as you felt eyes on you. Sweat dripped from your head as you adjusted your hat, making sure your rounded ears couldn't be seen. You were surprised you've gotten away with it for so long. Suddenly, however you saw an Inkling staring at your hair, tilting their head ever so curiously.

"Your hair.." The inkling spoke up. Oh GOD. This is it you're gonna be exposed as an octoling and be sent back it's SO OVER-

"I love how exotic it is!" The inkling smiled "How did you get your suction cups to appear on the outside like that?"

"It's uh.." you felt your throat get dry "It's a species thing."

You weren't TECHICALLY lying.

"OH COOL! Nice to see a squid with cool features! Keep being fresh!" The inkling beamed as they walked off.

You let out a sigh as you placed a drink ticket on the table. With a smile, Sean took your food ticket and got to work. Pressing your back against the food cart, you let out a breath. You could finally relax..

Just then, however you saw as a figure approached you. She had a pair of clunky headphones, cyan fingertips, and a leather jacket. But the thing you INSTANTLY took notice of was the suction cups on the outside of her locks.

You almost fell over in shock and she noticed. Then she noticed the same suction cups on your hair. There was at least a solid minute of you two just staring at each other.. at this that's what it felt like. You had heard of Marina but you never expected to meet her in person.

"Ah! I uh.." Marina scanned over your outfit and noticed a squid sisters pin "A fellow Squid Sisters fan! Fresh! We should totally sit together!" trying to subtly hint something.

You got what she was laying down and proceeded to nod.

You two grabbed your drinks and sat down, a little bit away from the inklings, enough that they wouldn't overhear anything. Marina checked around before looking at you with her emerald eyes.

"Okay so.. you're an octoling, right?" You whispered, pointing at her suction cups.

"YES!" She said with a hint of relief, she fiddled with her headphones.

There was a collective sigh between you two as you slouched your backs a bit. Marina fiddled with her straw, trying to think of what to talk about first.

"It's so nice to meet a fellow octoling!" Marina smiled at you, her fangs showing off in the daylight.

"Me too! It's been so hard just.. lying that I'm a different species of squid." You tapped your hand against your plastic cup, excitedly.

You were embarrassed to tell Marina about your age regression, but she totally understands! She actually takes care of Pearl when she’s regressed, so she has experience!

She likes to let you play around in the studio (in a different room of course, but still with the door open just a little) while recording music and/or splatcasts

Naturally, with Pearl and Marina living together, that means some time with Pearl too!

Pearl will often dance around with you to loud music, and play lots of games with you!

She gave you a crown of your own, bestowing upon you the title of ruler of the stuffies!

When Marina doesn’t let you have the snacks you want, she’ll usually sneak into the kitchen and get them for you

Back to Marina, she’s an octoling, and that means she’s TALL. What does this mean? Tons of carrying, piggyback rides, and sitting atop her shoulders! That octarian strength chips in, too!

She has YouTube Kids (or whatever the the cephalopods’ equivalent to it is) installed on her computer for you

She often takes you out for Crusty Seanwiches

Sleepy mama cuddles! She often will play soft music, or sing to you to help you sleep <3

Oh my god, we're so back. I lost motivation to write because good lord life is a MESS. I've outgrown a lot of the fandoms I used to be in, but I'll still write for what I'm interested in now! Also, I really like Splatoon, I'll write for Splatoon.

She rushed to the kitchen, grabbed a bunch of paper towels, and began to clean your cuts

Lots of hugs and kisses with a side of kind reassurements were given that night

"(Y/N).. please don't do this to yourself. It's not worth it. It's going to be okay, whatever you're goin' through, yeah?"

She checks in with you a lot more now

Asking how you're feeling, if you've eaten, stuff like that

If you have past scars she'll kiss them

If you're feeling down (like you want to hurt yourself again) she'll give you a bunch of distractions and things to do so you don't

If you relapse, she gives you a big hug and say that it's alright

"That's okay! I'm sure you can go even longer this time! I believe in you!"

She was honestly worried she'd lose you

But she sees that you're healing now and that you're better, and that's all she could ever ask for

She's glad you're still around

Also had just come home from shopping, but it was with Callie. She called out to you, but didn't find you in the living room or in the bedroom or kitchen, so she checked the bathroom

She just grabbed the first-aid kit you kept in the bathroom and cleaned your wounds.

She didn't wanna scare you

"I may not understand, but I know."

She gave you a tight squeeze after she was done. "I know."

She's a lot less sarcastic with you now

Always tries to make sure you're happy or at least satisfied with yourself

If you feel like hurting yourself she'll bring you into a huge cuddle-sesh until she's sure you're feeling better

Careful, those can last hours

If you relapse, she'd bandage you up and try to make you smile or laugh

"Don't worry, kid. There's always next time."

Despite how sarcastic and snarky she is on T.V., she's very caring and loving

And she'd do anything to make sure you're safe

You used Pearl's lighter

Rushed over and immediately took the lighter from you. She accidentally burned herself, too, but that was an accident

Pearl isn't all that good at comforting people, so she called Marina in to help

She kissed you, rubbed your back, and whispered sweet words to you while Marina helped your burns

"I'm so sorry.. Whatever happened, it's not your fault."

Pearl would continue to do all those things while you explained why you did that

Needless to say, she felt awful

From here on out, she's always doing things to keep you happy

She might make little songs for you (with the help of Marina's composing) or cook with you (albeit she's not the best cook)

If you relapse, she'll just sit there with you, head on your shoulder, ready to listen if you wanna vent or talk

Or if you just wanna sit there in silence, too

Like I said, she's not the best at comforting people, especially when they've done something like this

But she'll try her best if it's all worth making and keeping you happy

She had finally emerged from her recording studio after at least 3 hours of editing and revising music for the Memverse

That's when she found you, bruised and slightly bleeding

You had been biting yourself and bit down really hard

She was confused at first as to why you would do such a thing

Treating the wounds, asking how you're feeling, what happened while she was gone, if you wanna talk, etc. etc.

"I know this won't help, but you shouldn't feel so bad. I am your biggest fan, and I'm always gonna be there to support you and care for you, okay?"

Even if she didn't seem all that terrified, she was incredibly scared that you would bite down too hard and really hurt yourself

Keeps an eye on you and your mood from now own

Just like Callie, she gives you things to do when you feel like harming yourself, just digitally

Lets you run through the memverse demo as many times as you'd like

If you relapse, she'll kiss your wounds (when they're clean) and say that was a good try, and that you can do better than before

But, she really wasn't lying when she said she was your biggest fan and supporter

She always was, and she always will be

She had just finished training a bunch of sharks just a ways from your house. She came home, fan in hand, and called out for you

You didn't respond, so she began to look for you

She found you in the bedroom, clawing at your arm

Since your nails weren't that sharp, it didn't draw blood, but it was enough to leave a mark

You swore she turned paper white when she gasped

She gasped so loud people in Inkopolis could've heard her

She quickly recollected herself and rushed over to help you

I have a headcanon that shiver excessively fans herself when she's on edge, so she did a lot of that here

"(Y/N)?? Why would you do such a thing to yourself? ... Well, please, don't do it again. You're too good of a person to deserve this."

From then on, she was a lot more caring toward you

Less sarcasm, less of a snarky personality, more of a mother figure

Makes sure you've eaten, and that you haven't harmed yourself (and that you won't anytime soon)

Also makes you trim your nails so you can't scratch yourself again

If you relapse, she encourages you to try and make your streak longer the next time

She may not show it half (or 3/4) of the time, but she really cares about you. And it would deeply hurt her if she lost you

Randomly woke up from a really good nap, turned over, and saw you hitting yourself on your arms, legs, and head

She probably woke up due to your hitting moving the bed

You bruised your legs and arms and gave yourself a massive headache

Frye immediately tried to constrain you (and you gave in since she's freakishly strong. she's broken a rock before. twice.)

Started bombarding you with questions

"(Y/N)?! What happened?? Why were you beating yourself up?"

You broke down, and she immediately pulled you into a tight hug

"Hey, now! Don't cry! It's alright, I'm right here! I'm awake now, and I'm not gonna let anything or anyone hurt you, ya hear?"

Considering how she has siblings, she's actually pretty good at comforting people. She does, however, get extra advice from Big Man from time to time

Just like Shiver, she makes sure you've eaten and that you don't start hitting yourself again

Also makes it clear that it's perfectly fine to open up to her whenever you need to and whenever she has time to listen

If you do ever relapse, she's never mad. She'll just comfort you and ask you to try again

Frye's got a soft side, especially when it comes to you. And she's not afraid to show it if it means you'll be alive and well
