Also, while we're here: 2 likes and I'll post my hyperspecific splatoon gender headcanons

-can be the coolest menace in the block with carbon deco: 11 frame horizontal making the fastest kill in the game with a hitbox wide enough to be able to get two inkfish in one flick, landing sick verticals with burst bombs, and getting crazy clips with TriZooka. This weapon isn't only super strong, but also incredibly cool with the skill expression it has

-stringers' ease of access to paint + hitting arc shots is so hard but the payoff is insane

-splatana stamper has the perfect aggro kit, amazing visual design, and is a sword. You cannot get better than this. (I mean technically you can after the ink efficiency nerfs but y'know)

-zink mini splatling's unique usage of toxic mist + being a fun main weapon that's relatively accessible compared to other slayers

-hitting line marker combos with Slosher Deco is FUN and zipcaster enhances the experience

-being a secret ace in splatzones with undercover brella by using ink mines and reefslider strategically + comboing off of ink mines

It's easy, and often very tempting, to complain about weapons you don't like, so let's do the opposite of that. What is something cool and/or unique that makes your favourite weapon special to you?

And now for the Day 2 video for the 2019 Splatoon Koshien Tournament. No lore for this one but I still find it cool to see Off The Hook present the 16 final tournament teams. There’s this neato art that was in the video.

I also included the custom credits that used the Octo Expansion credits scene for it. In the “Thank You” card the surrounding squid symbols were for representing every region for the tournaments. This entire event also got to be put into an official fan book, where there’s included stickers and map.

In the 4th Splatoon Koshien Battle Con in 2019 Day 1 video there were segments with Off The Hook outside the events of Octo Expansion. Beginning with them just after work and discussing what to do on their day off. I gathered all the parts since the tournament videos are 6 hours long

More info in the description though there isn’t a proper translation yet so if anyone can do that lemme know so then I could add captions!

I've actually been thinking about Pearl quite a bit. Rotating her in my mind, if you will.

To me she comes off as someone who deliberately plays off being a little silly, but is actually really aware and perceptive of the things that go on around her. She also appears to be a people person, having the initiative to recruit people she thinks have potential and giving them the spotlight they deserve, which is fucking awesome! Like, she practically kickstarted the career of those guys from Damp Socks! And I might be stating the obvious here, but it's really nice how she's always willing to lend a hand when people need something, like how in Octo Expansion she'll just loan the player money and not expect anything in return due to their dire situation. Isn't that really refreshing? And she's always raring to get in the action too, either by blowing up a fascist with her voice or bombing people as a funny little drone, it's really charming!!

I also really like her sense of style. Idk why but it makes me feel like she's got her shit figured out; she knows who she is, and she's not going to change for anyone. Cool stuff! Also she's transfem in my heart but you didn't hear that from me
