I love the Super Mario universes where they were from Brooklyn or New York City or whatever instead of growing up in the Mushroom Kingdom. Even if it's less canon than the latter... the DiC cartoons and the movie and the other movie and the original arcade Mario Bros. Etc. It's funny to think that they were literally the most run of the mill middle-aged dudes who worked on toilets in New York and then were suddenly whisked away into a magic fantasy isekai world. Usually this only happens to introverted teenage anime boys.

And what song has been stuck in your head lately (cause we all have that one song that we find or relisten to and it's just... There now... Lol)?
