i put together a cool picture to vent my frustrations after playing like 20 splat zones matches of which only THREE were on manta maria (the rest was all undertow). one match had me playing against A COORDINATED TEAM OF 3 SPLASHES AND A MISSILE FARMING GOO TUBER

#no but like honest to god the maps in this game are actually genuinely depressing; this rotation seriously killed my mood for today #whenever i wanna play i look at the rotations on my phone because 90% of the time every single queue has 1 mapmode to avoid at all costs #and then i just. don't open the game #because the maps are such utter fucking shit. even with FOUR pairs of mapmodes to choose from it's never an enjoyable experience #sometimes i fire up splatoon 2 instead if s2 turf has maps that i miss #spla2n ranked makes me wait like 10-15 mins in lobby hell before every single match so i can only really play s2 in turf these days
