i finished scavenger’s reign and WOWIE IT WAS GOOD i shall do a review ~

Notes: this show. wow. the idea of being stranded on (vesta) an alien planet with otherworldly creatures that can help and hurt you, so coooool!! no spotted plot holes, sam and ursela used vesta’s plants to make ropes, used these little fish creatures as oxygen masks when going into a dangerous cavern, there were these little blowfish guys that bite their arms and float them up. there was a part where ursela and sam got separated, and because ursela was more open minded to becoming part of vesta’s ecosystem, rather than fighting against it like sam, i think vesta sensed that and showed her it’s like- soul? 😭 a little alien baby thing came out of a plant then the whole planet started breathing with it, the scene made me cry. so beautiful. and LEVI OMGGG the idea of being destroyed by one aspect of nature then being rebuilt by another 😫😫 so introspective we love some good character development. there was equal distribution between the characters when it came to like, backstory and lore. everything felt very thought through, they definitely made story boards lmao. i wanna see if there’s any of the process art style posted anywhere im hella interested in how the authors and artists made the characters come to life. overall amazing show, binged most of it pulling an all nighter, i’ll be recommending it to everyone and am SO SADDD there’s not gonna be a second season :(
