Amaryllis’ Update:

She is heir to a lineage wreathed in death and madness. Able to trace her parental line back to an undead Plague King, Amaryllis may be the biggest disappointment a family has ever suffered. The daughter of Plague Prince Zipper, she had been hatched into what most plague clans would consider a life of corruption under the Gladekeeper. Zipper held high hopes for his daughter, the only one who had decided to stay of all her many siblings. As she grew older, he began to worry over her. Something was not right, the blood of plague clans diluted by the powerful magic deep within the shrieking wilds. Amaryllis grew into a fiercely beautiful young warrior, though she fought only for the good of her Troupe and for the lives of any at risk. This included beastclan members, as she would easily put her life on the line to rescue a struggling Longneck. The only beastclan member she maintained a stoic distance from was the Serthis. As word of her deeds began to spread, she gained a following in the wilds. Beasts and beastclans alike began offering her help, and subsequently those with her received help from previous enemies. This allowed Amaryllis to bring many little pets back from her adventures. Zipper had long since given up on his daughter carrying on his family's line. She may have her own children but they will never know the touch of plague in their blood. Amaryllis had become a pure nature dragon in every sense of the word, and she wouldn't be following the expected path. She was now a complete pariah to him, and this sudden coldness from her father did not go unnoticed. Unable to understand what she could have possibly done wrong to cause her father to become so cold towards her, and so, she sought out any possible way to gain his love back. But no matter how skilled she was at hunting, how brave she was with guarding, how valiant she was in defending, he still wouldn't give her the time of day. Amaryllis then came to the conclusion, based on things that she'd heard her father muttering about before, that surely what he wanted was grandchildren! To continue on the bloodline! Throwing all caution to the wind, she hooked up with the first, strong, eligible male she came across. Needless to say, her spur of the moment romance ended in chaos, with two out of the three children passing due to illness, and her 'mate' angrily leaving her, taking their remaining daughter with him. ...All without a single bit of acknowledgement or consolation from her father... Now completely broken and distraught, Amaryllis threw herself at the feet of her father, begging and pleading to know what she might have done wrong. He simply snarled at her, and told her that she "Lost what was in her blood", before sharply turning away from her. Trying to make out what that could mean, she eventually came to the conclusion that, if she could just travel to the land of her father's birth, and show him she could survive on her own, just like his ancestors did. Then he would love her again, she was sure. And so, she set off for the Plaguelands, leaving behind all herbs and medicines. She needed to survive on her own. She made it two days until illness started to effect her, and from there, it was only a couple more until she found herself collapsed, unable to move. There, she was found by Maizo, and brought back to the clan for healing. When she awoke, she first thought that the whole trip was a dream, that she was still in the Shrieking Wilds, since the first two dragons she saw, Maizo and Eveia, were of the Nature element. It wasn't until Tamose walked in, that she realized where she was. When Tamose asked what she was doing, all alone and sick out in the Plaguelands, Amaryllis told him the whole story, about how she was just trying to regain her father's love. The others were completely appalled. Not because of her loosing touch with her roots, but because they were disgusted that a father could ever treat their child in such a way. Tamose then offered to let Amaryllis stay, at the very lest, until her sickness subsided, and she agreed. All throughout her stay, Amaryllis found herself amazed, seeing all these dragons, from all different elements, working together in harmony, caring for one another. Not cruel and ruthless, like the stories she had heard as a hatchling. Amaryllis recalled the tale of her father's two brothers, abandoned and lost to the far corners of Sornieth. Such a tragedy would never happen in a clan such as this. Eventually, she came to a decision: She asked Tamose if she could stay within the clan, and offer her services as an animal caretaker. And the clan welcomed her with wide, open arms. Though she may not have found a way to win her ambitious father's love, in the end, she found something much, much better: An unconditionally loving and accepting home.

Rukzaz:

Finding eggs laid from cluckers, was normal. Findings eggs laid by the roosters, however, was very much not. Most of the dragons assumed that the egg must have just... gotten knocked and rolled over from where the cluckers were. That made MUCH more sense then roosters laying eggs, right? However, they were all proven wrong, as a few days later, they found a tiny basilisk among all the cluckers. Having heard stories of the creatures being deadly, and turning dragon's to stone, quickly fled the clucker pen. They soon began to despair at the thought that a good portion of their food supply would soon be consumed by the creature. And then, once it was done decimating their food supply, it'd start going after them. Despite how panicked the majority of the clan was, Amaryllis, with all her curiosity and enthusiasm about birds, just HAD to take a look for herself. When she took a peek into the pen, she simply found... a baby Coral Basilisk. She couldn't help but laugh. With all her research on different types of birds, Amaryllis knew very well that Coral Basilisks didn't have the ability to turn dragon's to stone. With no fear, she went and picked up the tiny chick, showing just how harmless it was. All the same, Amaryllis was hailed as a hero for saving the clan's livestock. No matter how she tried to explain that Coral Basilisks are herbivores that eat mostly berries. Ever since that day, the little basilisk seemed to imprint on her, and followed her around everywhere, which delighted Amaryllis to no end. She raised the little chick to a big, strong basilisk. Still mostly harmless in the magic department, but with a sharp beak and talons that would give anyone thinking of threatening Amaryllis a second thought. And protective he is, even once jumping and attacking Amaryllis' ex-mate when he was yelling at her. Ever loyal, he continued to follow Amaryllis on her journey to the Plaguelands, and was the one to find Maizo after Amaryllis ended up collapsing. And so he continues to stay, faithfully guarding Amaryllis, and the clan's livestock from all harm.
