was going through some of my old notebooks and found my notes of my innocent dream investigation, back when spelude wanted to keep the method of reaching it a secret. i had a somewhat unfair advantage of having rpg maker 2003 though, so this was mostly finding all the instances that would contribute to the path opening and then arrange them in order.

i dont actually know what the instructions on the wiki say (and it could have since changed; these notes are from what, 4 years ago?) but hey. this got me in there lol

not thanks to anyone that could have helped me, only thanks to hik for translating some stuff in the code, shunrin leaving this comment on the page

i got frustrated yesterday though, because even though i was performing them correctly, a certain step in the variable was not triggering... i decided id put it in the back burner, updated to the latest ver, went to do some other tasks. as i said though im stupid stubborn and it was genuinely bugging me that something went wrong. i tried again from start to finish and this time there were no issues?? like hello???

my only explanation is that something must have softlocked in the last version... spelude sometimes resets variables when updating, i cant think of anything else. that saying about the definition of insanity is repeating the same things expecting a different outcome right? what about when youre repeating the correct action and it never works for you though it works for everyone else?

well. that said, its not some herculean task but its definitely abstract enough to be harsh in a non dialogue game- at least once the legwork is done, its done. i think.

i am not sorry to say that for once i will act on my unending spite malice and evilness and say that if you ask me for help on this i will simply not help. absolutely peeved off that i asked for a tip (not even the answer, a tip on what i was doing wrong) and not a single person extended their hand... like i expected it but im still disappointed dcsdhbvjdbvhdj anyway just like, if your game is ok just go on along your way and the legwork is eventually done. then remember shunrins comment.
