This started as an attempt for me to simply research the sport so I could better write my own stories with it involved and turned into something so much bigger than I expected it to. So, for all my fellow writers out there, please accept my notes and observations on the ever-loved sport of Twisted Wonderland: Magical Shift! (or Spelldrive, whichever you prefer) Since the sport was compared a lot to soccer/futball by Yuu, I took a few inspired liberties via the rules and regulations to further flesh the game out further.

HUGE thanks to @yuurei20​ for helping provide additional information from the novels to help me compile these notes! If at some point additional information is revealed with regards to the game in the manga, I’ll go back and update this post further!

I had a manic episode drew the one scene from chapter five of my fic where Leona mistakes Yuu’s frisbee golf prowess for flirting.

I drew this in one day. ONE DAY. I will never be able to complete another art project again lmao. (This was also my first real attempt at drawing, and finishing, a webcomic project, so please be kind lol)

TWST Ruggie Magical Shift... in Quidditch Clothes?!

So I was browsing through Twitter and found this little Japanese TWST ad announcement. And lo and behold, I see Ruggie wearing Magical Shift gear! Do my eyes deceive me or is Ruggie actually wearing Quidditch gear from Harry Potter?!

You can't deny the similarities between the Magical Shift uniform and the Quidditch uniform Harry wears! Yana definitely took some inspiration from J.K Rowling. What do you think?

Leona has more experience and his signature spell as a defense mechanism plus he would make schemes as a last resort

His unique magic literally makes clones of hims for a great distraction

Azul and jades unique magic is absolutely useless plus Floyd is friendly

Rook is perfect since his signature spell allows him to track people plus vil and epel couldn’t work for this

Hi there! Idk if this question was asked before but what are the instances that people are shown playing spelldrive in the novel??

Hello hello! :> The second novel's Spelldrive scenes are the same as those in the game!

The mock-match between Ruggie, Leona and two other Savanaclaw members vs. Cater, Ace, Deuce and Grim (accompanied by a rhythmic in the game). We get more detail as to how the Savanaclaw students are bending the rules in the novel, with Leona using the Spelldrive disc to cut Cater's ear.

The exhibition match before the main Spelldrive tournament featuring Yuuya, Grim, Ace, Deuce and the three Ramshackle ghosts vs. Leona, Ruggie, Jack and the rest of Savanaclaw's Spelldrive team. Also more detailed in the novel, this scene has been partially translated here, here and here!
